Right now, Nevada was in his favourite place at the training ground, the archery range. Why? Because archery was his most favourite thing in this world and with magic following it. Why did he like it? Because he likes to take out targets from a far, without him being ever seen and the best way to do it, was with a bow and an arrow. He could use magic, to kill from afar, but using magic, will leave behind a magic trail, which powerful mages could track. And because of that, he prefers the bow.

So currently, he was shooting with his bow, when Mia, the catkin. Her body is about 1,6m tall, with a petite figure. Both of breasts and butt are on the small side. As for her hair, it's light brown like her cat ears and tails. Her eyes are yellow with slitted pupils like Nevada. But unlike Nevada, she wasn't considered cursed, as all of the catkin have slitted pupils.

"Hey Fox. I'm going to town. Wanna join?"she asks him, while having her arms crossed in front of her chest.

Nevada thinks for a minute, before replying"Yeah sure. I need to buy stuff there anyways. Anyone else coming?"

"Nope. Just you and me."she answers.

"Okay."he says and lets go of his final arrow"Lets go then."

He puts his bow away and leaves the Citadel with her.

Outside of the Fortress, a man wearing a black cloak is front of the Fortress gate, which he then pushes open with ease. He enters the Fortress and the gate is shut behind him. He looks around a little, before removing his black hood, revealing his ashen-blond hair and his gray right eye, with the other one being covered with a black piece of cloth.

"The Ice Fort, home for Ice Fort assassin. What a cold fucking place."he tells himself and then starts walking on the street.

As he walks on the street, he passes a kitsune and a catkin pair, but he ignores them, like all of the other people.

But unlike him, whos eye wasn't caught by the kitsune, Nevadas eyes were caught by him. Nevada looks at the man for a few seconds and thinks 'He seems familiar....Where have I seen him before?'

"Fox?!"Mia yells for him, causing him to come out of his thoughts. He looks at her and she says"Lets move on, Fox."

"Yeah yeah, Cat."he replies to her and they move on.

Back in Citadel, Maria is walking around the place, looking for Nevada, but doesn't find him anywhere. So she goes to Veronica, who is working in her lab.

She gets to her door and knocks on it two times. After a few seconds, she gets a reply"Enter."

Maria enters the room, after being allowed. In the room, she sees Veronica working on a poison and while still having her focus on the poison, she asks"What is it, Maria?"

"I'm looking for Nevada, but can't find him in the Citadel. Do you know where he is?"Maria asks Veronica, who drops some kind of green liquid into the bottle, before answering"I think I saw him go into town with....Huuuh. What was her name.....Mio?..No....Mia. Yes Mia. Nevada went to down with Mia."

After hearing her answer, Marias ears drop a little and she says"Ooh. Okay."

As for Veronica, who hears her tone, turns around to face her and with a grin on her face, she asks"Maria....Could it be...That you are ... jealous?"

"What?!"she says in a loud tone"Of course I'm not....W-why should I?... I-i-it's not like we are going out or something."

Veronica, who sees her stuttering, grins even more and says"If you are not jealous, why do you suddenly act like a tsundere?"

Tsundere is a word, that was added to this world dictionary by one of the past heroes that was summoned to this world.

"I'm not!"

"Don't deny it Maria."Veronica tells her"We have been friends almost two decades now and I can clearly see through you. You fell in love with my son, didn't you?"

Maria, knowing that she has been defeated, drops her ears and says with a slightly red face"Yes. I love Nevada."

"So you finally admitted. Good."Veronica says, with a happy tone"Well you have my blessing, so love and fuck him all you want."

Maria, who doesn't know how to reply, just quietly leaves the room, leaving Veronica behind, to grin.

"So old, but so innocent."she mutters, before getting back to her work.

In the town, Nevada and Mia are sitting in a small restaurant and eating their food. Nevada is eating some kind of animal meat with potatoes, while Mia is enjoying cake. Nevada himself is drinking wine, while Mia, milk.

"So whats the next place we will go to?"Nevada asks her, who is chewing her food. After swallowing it, she replies"Blacksmith place. I need new leg guards. The previous one have become pretty worn out."

"Blacksmith huh. Well I need to get a few things there myself."Nevada says.

There is a few minute silence, before Mia asks"Hey Fox...How does it even feel to have nine tails?"

"Hmm. It's hard to answer. It's like-"Nevada stops mid-sentence, when he sees a group of eleven people approaching their table.

"Do you have your mask with you?"he asks her and she shakes her head.

"Damn. I left it in my room too."he says.

"Hey Kitten. Why don't you leave that brat and join us."one of the man say, while putting his hands over her shoulder.

"Seven out of eleven."Nevada says.

"Eight out of eleven."Mia says

Both of them grin, after making their bet, on how many they can take down.

Mia starts by grabbing the mans hand, whos hand was on her shoulder and breaks it, before getting up and throwing the man onto the ground.

"What the fuck?" Half of them mutter, before Nevada grabs two of the guys by their collars and slams them onto the ground, breaking some of their bones.

One of them tries to draw his knife, but before he could, his leg was broken, with bone sticking through the flesh and out in the open, for everyone to see. She then proceeds to kick him in the side, sending him flying against the wall.

Nevada dodges the sword and then grabs the mans arm, to pull him up close, before kneeing the man in the nuts, destroying his manhood with it. The man himself lets out a horrible scream, before falling unconscious from the immense pain.

Mia grabs two guys head and slams them together, knocking them out. Nevada himself just elbowed a man in the back, breaking his spine.

Now only three guys are left and two of them get takes out by a Sparta kick from both of them. Now only one man was left and he was completely covered with sweat from fear. His entire body was trembling and couldn't move at all, as he looked at the two people approaching him, Nevada sending out a punch and Mia a kick. He feels the hit and then everything goes to dark.

A minute later, they both leave the restaurant, with eleven completely beaten up man, laying on the floor back there. Some of them might be cripples, If they don't get healed by a mage.

"It was my win..I got the sixth one."Nevada says and Mia argues back"No. It was definitely my kick that finished him."

"Nope. It was my punch."he argues back.

"My kick."

"My punch."

Both of them stop and stare at each other, while showing their fangs.

"It's a tie."

"It's a tie."

After agreeing, they continue walking towards the blacksmith place.

After they get in front of a shop, with a sign hanging above the door. On the sign, there is a picture of an anvil and a hammer, hitting the anvil. A very cliché looking sign.

The enter the shop and see dozens of weapons on both sides of the walls and sets of armors at the corners of the room. Behind a counter, a man in his fifties is leaning on the counter, with his hands on it.

"Welcome. How can I help you?"

"Hi. I need a new set of leg guards made out of black steel."

"Sure. And how about you boy?"

"I need a recurve bow made out of Panridain with a blade attached to the handle."Nevada says.

"Panridain? I don't have enough here, but I could order more...But it would take some time. Are you sure you want it wait two months?"

"Yes."Nevada replies with a clear voice.

"Okay. Anything else?"

"Nope."Mia replies and Nevada shakes his head.

"Okay. I'll then need half of the pay now and half when it's done. For the leg guards, it's two golds in total, so one gold coins for now. For the bow, it's ten gold coins in total, so five now."

"Hey Nevada. Could you pay for me?"Mia asks her, while whispering.

"No. Pay it for yourself."he answers and puts five golf coins on the counter, with Mia following with her one gold coin.

"Thank you. The guards will be ready in five days and for the bow, come check back after forty days. I can only then say a more precise answer."

"Thank you. Until then."Nevada says and leaves with Mia, who just says"Bye."

As for the metals, that they wanted their equipment made out of: black steel is basically just like steel, but black steel is found and not made. It's also coloured black. As for Panridain, it's a very strong metal, which, If done correctly, can be made to bend, without the fear of it breaking. That's why, it is one of the best materials for making a bow out of metal.

It is evening, when the two finally reach back to the citadel. Mia was going to the library, while Nevada was going back to his room. On the way there, he ran into Veronica.

"Hey Nevada. You're finally back. How was your date?"she asks teasingly, hoping to get a cute reaction, but instead she gets an emotionless reaction from Nevada"It wasn't a date. We just went to town, because we both needed to get stuff from there."

"Hmm. I can't say If you are dense or just don't care."she thinks out loud"But that doesn't matter. You should go see Maria. She seems jealous because you went out on a date."

Nevada sighs and says"I guess I will go see her and also..It wasn't a date. Bye for now."

"Bye."Veronica says and goes her way, while Nevada his.

He goes up the stairs and through a hallway, to get to Marias room. He enters the room, to see her sitting behind a table, writing something.

"Ooh Nevada. You have return."she says in a sad tone and not in her usual tone.

"Yeah. I heard from Veronica, that you were jealous. Is it true?"

Maria stops writing and gets up from the chair. She turns around, to look at him.

"I'm not jealous of that cat."She says.

"Oooh. Really?"Nevada asks, while closing in.

"Y-Yes."Maria says

"Well believe what you want, but just now that I love you and can't wait for you to film your promise."Nevada says with a smooth voice, making Maria blush.

"P-pervert."
