9th day of 1st month year 10439.

Nevada was now twelve years old and will be thirteen in two months. During the bast sixteen month, he has grown and now was 181cm tall handsome man with a trained body. He loves how he looks like sixteen, but is almost thirteen.

As for today, it's a special day to him and a few other trainees. Today is their trial, where they decide, If you are ready. The trial itself consists of three parts, with the third part being a mission together with your senior, If you pass the first two trials. What the first two trials are, he doesn't know, as they are told right before they start.

So now, Nevada and few other trainees had gathered on the training grounds, where a few other members had come to watch their children, students or both. As for Anna, she was in front of them and started to speak.

"Welcome trainees! Today you will take part of a trial to become a member of The Ice Fort Assassin. Good Luck."

'Short and simple, but gets the point through. I like it.'Nevada thinks, after hearing Annas speech.

The trainees then go to the side and wait for them to be called for a trial. As they are waiting, a man wearing ragged clothing is brought with both of his hands and legs chained. He is forced onto his knees.

"First trial is to kill the prisoner. Choose whatever method you want."Anna simply says and calls out a name"Haz."

A short demon then walks out of the crowd and towards the prisoner. He looks at the prisoner, who is begging for his life, before touching the mans right side of the face with a palm of his hand. The next moment, the prisoner starts to shake violently and a after a few seconds, he gets completely fried. He was electrocuted by the demon.

"Efficient, but stinky. Leave."Anna says and Haz the demon leaves.

"Nevada."Anna calls out his name and so he walks up to a new prisoner, who was brought out here.

"Please don't do it. I have a wife and three ki-"he is killed before he could finish his sentence, by Nevada, who with a quick movement, broke his neck completely. No the head just hangs by the skin and muscles, as the neck joints are completely separated.

"Quick and clean. Leave."Anna says and so Nevada walks back to where he was standing before. Behind him, the corpse is removed and a new prisoner is brought out

"Erica."Anna calls out and so a human woman about fifteen years old walks out. She stands near the new begging prisoner with a dagger in her hand. She tries to keep her calm, but it could be clearly be seen, how her hand is shaking with the dagger in her hand.

'First kill is always the hardest. Right now she is hesitating and is afraid to kill. It's something I have never felt, but have seen too many times.'Nevada thought, while looking at her.

As for her, she grabs the mans head with his free hand, while the man keeps begging. She puts the tip of the dagger near his jaw, while her hand is still shaking. Her breath turns more violent and she closes her eyes. Then she finally stabs the dagger through the under jaw. Blood flows from the wound, down to her hand. She lets go of the dagger, while her hand is violently shaking. She slowly returns, without waiting for Anna to tell her or pulling the dagger out.

'We may have been trained how to kill, but still...First kill is always the hardest.'

After that, male High Elf named Cryas, was called out, who killed the prisoner, by making him drink the poison, he had poured to his mouth. The prisoner started to twitch violently, before dropping dead onto the ground, while white foam was coming out of his mouth.

"Good kill, bad method for execution. Leave."Anna tells him

And finally, there was a female catkin called Mia, was called out. She walked to him with her short body and then just kicked him in the head so strong, that she twisted his neck, breaking it and killing him.

"Too easy."she says and walks back to her spot.

"Clean, but loud. Leave."Anna comments.

'A little arrogant, but she will lose it soon.'Nevada thought, when hearing her.

"Now that the first trial is done, it is time for the second trial. In the second one, you will be cuffed with anti-magic cuffs and your job is to kill an armed man."Anna says and claps her hands.

The point of the first trial was to see, if we hesitate, before executing or not. Four out of five, didn't.

As for the second trial, it's purpose is to see, If we could kill without weapons, magic and while being restraint. It's basically to see how we would fight, If we were ever to be captured. And with the mortality rate being 25%, one of them is probably going to die. Nevada know that it won't be him and in his opinion, it's probably Erica, as she hesitated a lot during the first trial.

"Haz."Anna says and so Haz steps out. He is then handcuffed by one of the members and then pushed at the small arena, in the middle of the training grounds.

Then, a man wearing an full body armor without a helmet is brought out. He draws his sword and says"Nothing personal."

Haz doesn't say anything and then just waits there. He isn't waiting for Anna to tell them to start, as she won't. But he waits for the guard to attack him.

As for the guard, he tightens his grip and runs towards Haz, who stands and stares at him. The guards gets near Haz and swings his sword at Haz, who tries to block it with the chain which is attached to his cuffs. He widens his hands, near his head, before the swing hits.

*Splat*

Blood flies everywhere, as the sword hits the top of the head, killing Haz. The guard pulls the sword out and celebrates"Yeeesss!"

'Fucking hell. He didn't consider, that the enemy might be strong enough, to push his arms back, when he hits the chain. Damn...This is a little surprising.'

Nevada looks around and sees a few people holding their heads. So when he sees them, he concluded, that they are Haz's teachers.

"Nevada. You're up."Anna says, after Haz's body is removed from the field.

Nevada walks to the arena and his hands are cuffed by the heavy metal cuffs, with a chain attached to them. He feels that he can't control his mana at all. He then looks at the man in the armor and slowly starts walking towards the man.

The man himself looks at Nevada, before charging at him. When Nevada is about to get hit, he does something so quickly, that most of the people couldn't exactly see what happened.

But the next moment, they saw Nevada completely fine, with the chain on his handcuffs broken and he was holding something in his hand. It was red and moving a little, before it stopped completely. It was the mans heart, which he was holding. As for the man, he had collapsed onto the ground, dead, with a big hole through his chest.

Nevada looks at the heart, before throwing it over his shoulder. The heart itself falls next to the corpse and splashes some blood on impact.

"Impressive. You can go."Anna tells Nevada, who then walks away. He walks next to Maria, who is leaning against one of the columns with her right side, while her hands are crossed.

"So how did you do it?"Maria asks Nevada, who was standing next to her.

"Skill."Nevada replies and Maria says"I want to know step-by-step."

"Fine."Nevada replies"I noticed that I could still extend my nails, so basically before he could stab me, I broke the chain by hitting it with my knee, then I thrusted my hand into his chest and pulled his heart out. And after that, you saw."

"You broke the chain. Not bad."Maria compliments him and then snaps her fingers, erasing the cuffs from his hands.

The now focus back to the trial and see that Erica was just killed by the new man.

'Shame.'Nevada thought.

After Erica, it was Cryas's turn. As for him, he immediately ran towards the man, when he was cuffed. He jumped over the man and managed to get the chain around the mans neck. He then proceeded to choke him to death.

Once the man was dead, Anna was pleased and allowed Cryas to leave.

Now it was Mia's turn. She too was cuffed and looked at the another new man. When she was looking at him, she smiled, before dashing at him very fast. Before the man could react, Mia was already in front of him. She kicked him at his kneecap, breaking hit. This made him to kneel down onto that knee, while groaning out from pain. And the man was killed by a kick in the head, which caved in his skull.

"Good job Mia. You can leave."Anna tells her.

Mia nods and goes back, after breaking the chain, by kicking it with her knee.

As for Anna, she gets up and says"And with that, the second trial is over. Tomorrow, you will take part of the third trial to become members of the Ice Fort Assassin. Until then."

After she finished talking, everyone left, while talking with each other. Alice and Veronica walked over to Nevada.

"Good job Little Fox. Mommy is proud."Alice congratulated her son and hugged him.

"Impressive Nevada."Veronica tells him.

"Thanks."Nevada replies"Also..Could you stop calling me Little Fox? I'm too big for that."

"No. You will always be my Little Fox."Alice replies.

"Well at least drop Little."Nevada tells her and she answers"Nope."

"Okay...Alice."Nevada says.

"Okay...Cute Fox."Alice says.

"Huuuh. Fine call me like you have."Nevada give sup immediately, knowing he won't win against his mom.

"Thats what I thought."Alice says jokingly.
