"What happened to your face?!"

Alice yells, as he sees Nevada entering her and Veronicas room with Maria. She grabs his face and starts staring at the mark.

"Who did it? I will kill the bastard who ruined my Little Fox's face."Alice says, while holding his face.

"Alice. Please calm down."Veronica tells her wife, while holding her shoulders.

"But but. Little Fox's face."she says in a childish tone, while looking back at Veronica.

"I know. But calm down. We won't learn anything like this."Veronica tries to calm down Alice and it seems to work, as she lets go of Nevadas face.

"Good."Veronica continues"Now Nevada. Do you know how you got it?"

"Yes."he replies to Veronica, who is holding her wife.

"Good. Now tell us."Veronica says.

They all sit down and Nevada says"It was Sola, who put the mark."

"Sola..As in the Goddess Sola?"Alice asks Nevada, now that she has calmed down.

"Yes."he replies to her.

"Why would she do it. I would understand If it was the Dark Goddess. It's hard to believe that Sola did it."Veronica says, while observing the mark.

"I agree with Veronica. Why did she even mark you?"she asks Nevada.

"Because she wanted me to change the opinion of the people about the cursed kitsunes."Nevada answers exactly, like Maria had told him to answer.

The two mothers don't say anything and just sit there, thinking about what their son just had said. The Goddess wants their precious son to change something, that is pretty much impossible at this point. The fear of cursed kitsunes is so deeply rooted, that it will take centuries even millennia to change peoples opinions of his kind. But kitsunes are believed to live forever, so technically he could do it, If he wouldn't be killed before. But now they don't understand why him? Is it because he is more special then the other cursed kitsunes or maybe is it because his eyes have been slitted from birth. Or maybe he is the only one left currently, as the cursed kitsunes are usually killed immediately. It could be one of those options or all of those options. There could be other options too. 'What could it be?'they kept wondering.

Nevada seeing that his mothers aren't saying anything, decides to say"Mom."

Alice immediately snaps out of her thoughts, when she hears his son calling her 'Mom' for the first time in four years. She is happy to hear it.

She looks at Nevada and asks"Yes. What is it Little Fox?"

"You haven't said anything for ten minutes. I was worried."Nevada tells his mom, who the realizes that she really was lost in her thought.

"Sorry Nevada"she apologizes"It's just it was such a surprise, so I didn't know how to react. Sorry about that Little Fox."

"It's fine."Nevada replies.

"Huh what?"Veronica mutters, as she finally snaps out of her thought too.

"Nothing Veronica."Alice tells her.

"Okay. I don't like the mood in this room. It's Nevadas birthday, so lets change into a birthday mood."Maria finally says, after being quiet for the past ten minutes.

"Lets do that."Alice says and gets up. She walks over to her closet and takes something out of there. She walks over to Nevada with his gift and gives it to him. She then hugs him and says"Happy birthday. My Little Fox."

After that, Veronica hugs him too and says"Happy birthday Nevada."

"I hope you like our present."Veronica says, after she sits back down next to Alice. They look at Nevada, who unsheats the sword, that Alice gave her before. It's a longsword with a 95cm mithril blade and 25cm hilt. So the total length of the sword is 120cm. The blade itself is smooth and clean with a single narrow fuller. The grip is covered with white leather, the pommel is silver coloured and has a sharp end. The cross-guard is bent up a little towards the blade and is also silver coloured. The sheath itself is white.

"Do you like it?"Alice asks and Nevada replies"I love it."

"Good to hear it."Alice tells him, while he is observing the sword. He then sheaths it back and puts it onto his lap.

"Now then, lets eat."Veronica says and brings out a cake. The cake seems to be a chocolate cake, but he isn't so sure.

As for Veronica, she cuts the cake and puts it on the plates. After that, everyone starts to eat and Nevada now confirmed that it was a chocolate cake. A very tasty chocolate cake.

At the evening, Nevada is going back to his room with Maria, because she wanted to talk about something.

So when they are in his room, Nevada puts his new sword against the bed and then sits down next to Maria.

"Nevada. Remember that you must not attack Despond, before I say it's okay."Maria reminds him and he replies"I know Wolfy."

"Wolfy? So you start to call me like this again. Aren't you too old for such a childish nicknames. What will others think about you, when they hear you calling me Wolfy?"Maria asks her.

"Don't worry. I will only call you Wolfy, when we are alone."Nevada replies and smiles at her, with his fangs showing.

Maria smiles back, with her fangs showing too and them says"Aren't you too young to flirt, Nevada?"

"Nope."he replies to her.

Maria laughs a little and then presses the back of his ear with her finger, making Nevada bite at her out of reflex.

"Nevada. You are too young for that. Try again in four years."Maria says and then does something, that he never expected.

She had grabbed his head and pulled it into a kiss. After a while, she lets go off his head, licks her lip and says"In four years."

She touches his forehead and then disappears from his room.

Nevada touches his lips, with a confused look on his face and thinks'Did she really just kiss me? Yes she did.'

He lays down on the couch and mutters"So does that mean she has feelings for me...Must be....But why?....Is it a beastkin instincts?"

Beastkin instincts is a instinct that only female beastkins have. The instincts basically makes them want a person who is or will be very strong. This instinct also makes them very loyal to that man or woman and will follow them. Beastkins love is different from humans love. So basically, If she just acted out of her beastkin instincts, then she will be his from now on. She also said four years, before disappearing.

So with that, Nevada has come to a conclusion, that Maria and he will be together, when he gets fourteen. Also the age, when he will go to heat.

'Huh. That will be.'he thinks, as he goes to his bed, to go to sleep. He lays down and closes his eyes.

But after an hour, he doesn't fall asleep, because he can't get the memory of the kiss out of his mind.

'Why am I remembering that like a virgin. I mean I have had sex before. Well in my old life..But still. My body is virgin, but not my mind. So why the fuck to i keep remembering it?'he wonders in his head.

Meanwhile, Maria is in her room, while looking at the ceiling and thinking'I kissed Nevada. I kissed him...I kissed a ten year old....Oh god why....he was too young for that...I hope that it won't ruin his mind....Oh god why did the instincts kick in then?'

She buries her face into her pillow and then thinks'Ooh. I hope Alice and Veronica won't find out. They will kill me for kissing their young child.'

Both Maria and Nevada couldn't get any sleep.
