《Land of Ilragorn》Chapter 20- Dungeon Dojo

Day 1 of training
I’m not sure whether it’s a good or bad thing that I do my training surrounded by fire.
Literally, I’m sure that sounds like a metaphor, but it’s not, the core has produced fire rooms for me to level up my immunity to fire.
How do you level up immunity, is the real question, aren’t I just immune to fire.
My body doesn’t even burn anymore, I just walk through it as if there was nothing there.
My feathers have caught fire multiple times as well.
Although I have been in/on fire for an entire day, my fire immunity has only just leveled up to LVL 7.
The core won’t tell me the purpose of this is, just to wait, I’ll see once it’s maxed, I checked it with analysis and it doesn’t tell me.
My training is simple, just use a skill a lot.
I’m already finished with a third of my skills, I have been continuously using his room to level them up.
I get to see Suvunkilbub at night before I go to sleep.
I told her about the core and its bosses, but she didn’t seem too surprised.
She said that since one floor is one level up she often gets thousands of monsters fighting her on one floor and that she always got stuck because it took too long to fight more than ten thousand monsters.
When she did reach floor ten she was met with every single monster she had killed before at once, same with me, but I only fought the boss monsters anyway, so I couldn’t tell if that was a rule or not.
Anyway, my skills levels are getting high, I also got some new skills from leveling them up.
"Target: Adolescent War Demon Chocobo LVL 53, Name: Kwehzalcoatl" "Title(s): Memory Keeper, Kill Stealer, Friend of the Suvunktah's, Damsel in distress, Pride, Puff’s friend, Dungeon Explorer: Cyko." "Skills: Analysis LVL 7, Copy Entity Number LVL 3, Mind Acceleration LVL 10, Dragon beak LVL 1, Night Vision LVL 10, Foul resistance LVL 4, Magic Armor LVL 10, Recovery Magic LVL 7, Pain Immunity LVL 3, Heat vision LVL 2, Pepper Breath LVL 10, Shadow manipulation LVL 10, MP manipulation LVL 10, Fire Immunity LVL 7, Telepathy LVL 3, Life Steal Touch LVL 1, Telekinesis LVL 2, Punting LVL 10, Flamethrower LVL 10, Water Gun LVL 10, Flight LVL 3, Hide Status, Rulers Orders LVL 2, Reckless Charge LVL 2, Press LVL 2, Earth removal LVL 2, Buff up LVL 10, Speed up LVL 10, Enchant LVL 1, Forge LVL 1, Inferno LVL 1, Tidal Wave LVL 1, Outer MP Manipulation LVL 1, 3D Shadow manipulation LVL 1, Future Sight LVL 1 " "Stats: HP: 2808, STR: 3696, SPD: 2476, VIT: 2913, MP: 3201, INT: 2715"
Don’t ask about pain immunity. Just don’t.
Just know that it is an active skill that will nullify all pain, and it wasn’t the easiest skill to get.
The one I’m working on currently is Recovery magic, which is simple.
The gargoyle, as he doesn’t like me and is immune to fire, throws me around while pain immunity is on and while I spam heal myself.
It’s that simple.
It’s kinda boring, but I can deal with it.

I was someone who grinded a lot in MMOs, this feels kinda similar.
I mean the game would be in 4D but that just makes it cool.
The gargoyle snaps the bone in my wing in half, I don’t feel anything, but it made me uncomfortable.
I got a level in pain nullification.
“How does it feel to get your body destroyed, you little nuisance.”
I healed my wing and then it shifted into place, no feeling of bones shifting or anything, it just is there like it was five minutes ago.
I got a level up in Recovery Magic.
I must have done a beaky grin because the gargoyle seemed surprised, though it didn’t have any facial features besides a screaming demon so I couldn’t be sure.
Day 2
I was awoken before the sun was up by the filolial.
I tried to make small talk, but the filolial is like all the other ones, besides invisibrat.
I haven’t seen them in a long time, perhaps I’ll visit after I get back together with mom and her friends.
Anyway, my skills are taking longer to level up, probably because they start at LVL 1 now, but it’s getting boring.
I’m just using heat vision, scratch that, being blinded by heat vision, when I get this text box.
"Fire Immunity LVL 9 leveled up to LVL 10." "You may pick a tier 1 skill that from the following." "Combustion, Flame arrow, and Pepper Breath"
Well, this is new.
What do they do?
Skill: Combustion: Entities entire body can become ablaze when this skill is activated (LVL 1 can cover a specified area of the body in fire, LVL 5 can cover 50% more body in fire and gets slight resistance to water, LVL 10 sets the entire body ablaze and regular water cannot affect the flames, also you can add hidden affect to the flames. Note: If the entity has no resistance or immunity to fire then the entity will burn)." "Skill: Flame Arrow: An arrow of flame that can be fired a long-distance (Scales with MP and INT, leveling makes it less expensive to use, LVL 10 gives you Flame Cannon LVL 1). "Pepper breath: A peppery fireball that you shoot out of your mouth (Scales with MP and INT, leveling up makes it less expensive to use, LVL 10 gives you Flamethrower LVL 1)"
Should I ask the core about it, I mean, the obvious choice is combustion, I already have pepper breath and flame arrow sounds like a less powerful, but more range version of it.
I’ll just pick combustion since it sounds like the hidden effect could be cool.
"You picked Combustion LVL 1."
I’ll just ask the core about it…
Heat vision became LVL 10, didn’t do anything.
Then I wiggled my foot, the sign that I was done.
The flames disappeared and a middle-aged man stood before me.
“Heat visions LVL 10?”
“Yes and so is Fire Immunity.”
“Good, now pick flame arrow.”
“Ummm, what?”
“Flame arrow, the skill, wait, you already something else didn’t you.”
“Yes.”
“What did you pick?”
“Combustion, it had the most appealing description, and flame arrow sounded like a more range less powerful version of pepper breath.”

“What do you mean, combustion is ranked as one of the worst fire skills.”
“What?”
“First of all, it's evolution doesn't increase its strength, second of all its range is less than almost every skill, third of all it can distort your vision.”
“But what about the hidden effect when it gets to level 10?”
“It adds another element secretly, it will look like regular fire, but when people touch it, they get blasted by wind, or they get poisoned, not very helpful,” he’s obviously flustered and a little bit angry when he tells me this.
It adds another element, well that sounds decent, but its range sucks.
“Is it good for defense?”
“You already have magic armor, why would you need defense?”
“Well it doesn’t consume mana, and magic armor does.”
“I guess, but your MP is huge, I doubt you would get that low on mana.”
I thought about it for a moment.
“What about healing magic, that could be a good effect?”
“You want to heal your enemies?”
“Oh.”
“Whatever, just go onto another skill, no more fire for you, unless it’s inferno.”
“Okay.”
I finished more skills today.
Day 3
I’m working on telekinesis, it doesn’t take too long to level up, but I feel like I’m a three-year-old playing with blocks.
I guess that’s accurate because I’m 3 and a half months old.
I’m just moving giant metal blocks around in intricate ways, it isn’t really fun.
Okay, it’s a little fun, especially when I fail, then I can get mad and fling the blocks across the room…
Telepathy is just talking to random monsters, it levels up pretty quick.
I refused to level up life steal touch out of regular combat, I mean it’s an undead skill, and it kills things, I can’t bear to kill things that don’t fight back, it just feels wrong, unless I feel that it’s going to kill me behind my back.
Anyway, I skipped it and tried ruler's orders, but the dungeon monsters don’t follow anyone's orders except the dungeon cores, so no good.
So I went on to the skills I got from the boss monsters.
Reckless charge was simple, just focus on one thing, the wall, then the dungeon core will spawn monsters whose goal is to stop me.
I don’t kill anything, in fact, it feels more like a school game than anything.
It wasn’t terrible to level up, it was fun, so I didn’t mind that this one took multiple hours to get to LVL 10.
Press is weird.
It increases your chance to trigger a trap at the right time.
Even the core thought it was weird, so we skipped it.
Earth removal is cool, it’s just digging, but it’s different.
When you dig in the earth normally, dirt goes everywhere but using this skill it places dirt somewhere else.
That’s the description, somewhere else, doesn’t that mean it could go anywhere.
I got it to LVL 10 in multiple hours, it was boring, who really likes digging, okay who really likes digging for four hours straight.
Now I feel bad for construction workers, I needed to send them a card or something in my past life.
I already maxed out buff up and speed up because they can be used at the same time with anything else, and it doesn’t hinder either of their performances, as well as not using any mana.
The day ended with a level in forge.
Day 4
I don’t know why I need this, but I leveled it up anyway, forge is something simple, just find something, literally anything, and then changes shape according to your imagination.
Enchant is different.
It follows set rules, you need to say one sentence, and the armor or weapon has to follow it.
At LVL 1 you can only do one sentence, LVL 2 you can do two, and so on.
But it can’t do anything that you can’t do, like a can’t say kills everything in one hit, because I can’t do that, but I can say shoots fireballs because I have pepper breath.
The kobold used something a little more clever, he used the words increase weight, he had the other monsters lay on top of him, so it increased his weight a ton, then his armor could increase weight.
But when I pulled him he leaned forwards, when he increased his weight he was laying on his back, so the weight increase didn’t happen.
These skills take an unreasonable amount of time, 6 and a half hours to be precise.
I even had the kobold help me, to find it doesn’t know how to multilayer enchants, something I thought was natural.
Multilayering is just saying more than one sentence for it, so I had to teach it what to do.
I guess it could be helpful in the future.
When I finished it, I was going to continue onto inferno, but the core wanted to talk.
“So you finished most of your skills, it’s time you go.”
Wait what.
“But I haven’t finished, I still have Inferno and tida-”
He stopped me.
“It can’t be good for you to stay here any longer, you should have noticed it by now, I naturally suck up MP, something I can’t stop, eventually you are going to run dry, after that I suck up your life force.”
I didn’t notice, however, I did notice that it was harder to do MP manipulation here.
“Look up kid, just leveling down here doesn’t give you experience in life, go onto the surface world, make a name for yourself as the strongest chocobo or something, of course, that means you have to beat the chocobo divine beast.”
“Okay.”
“It was an honor to have you in the Cyko dungeon dojo.”
"You have gained the title- Cyko Dungeon Dojo Disciple." "You have gained 100% trust of the Entity- Dungeon core Sudo Divine Beast, Name: Cyko." "Would you like to activate Copy Entity Number LVL 3?"
“Yes.”
"Activated Copy Entity Number LVL 3" "Gained 925 INT, Skill Monster Summoning LVL 1.” "Copy Entity Number leveled up to LVL 4"
“Umm, I just got the skill monster summoning from you, that okay?”
“Wait what?”

ICOMO ODYSSEY
Jonathan Vélo never expected to be famous. Not for riding his bike all the way around the continent of Icomo. Every adult knows his story, and children learn about him at school. This, however, is the first and only biography written about that great man with foreigners in mind. We, his biographers, imagine they will be immensely grateful. Of course, readers will find the people of Icomo an unusual sort for glorifying a young man who did nothing more than quit his job and ride his bike from town to town, city to city… But in an age of robots and computers, when little escapes the notice of the historian, there is a quiet epic to be told. It is the epic of cozy nights in a tent below the stars, of warm wind and ocean waves. It is also the epic of missing old friends in faraway places, and that feeling of needing to make life mean something. *** ‘ICOMO ODYSSEY’ is a nostalgic slice-of-life adventure about a utopian sci-fi land. No clever villains or epic fights here. Just cozy pleasures, charming towns and villages, interesting cultures, and the people who live in them… This story will update bi-weekly on Friday and Saturday. https://www.scribblehub.com/series/467210/icomo-odyssey/
