《Land of Ilragorn》Chapter 15- Death Run

“Yes.”
"You have activated Copy Entity Number LVL 3" "Gained 534 INT." "Gained Reckless Charge LVL 1"
Still slightly depressed and confused I walk over to the door.
I push on it lightly and it opens into stairs down.
On the right wall is what looks like a map, it has the left side leading into hundreds of dead ends, while the right side has one turn and then the words you are here.
I realize it was a map of the last room, and it kind of makes me mad.
I walk down the stairs to find a brick hallway with green glowing mortar in between them.
Yes bricks, red bricks, the kind I would have seen in my old world.
Now I’m really confused.
I move on anyway until I see a light.
Once I get to it, I get really really confused.
The floor drops, and when I look down it there are rows of spikes on the floor.
There are pillars in the middle that look jumpable, kind of like parkour.
To the right is a glass wall with a gargoyle holding its hand on what looks like a button.
Is this death run?
The game where you do parkour while someone hits buttons to traps on it.
I guess that makes the gargoyle death, and I’m the runner.
This shouldn’t be too hard, I mean my speed is super high.
I jump to the first pillar and land on it safely, the gargoyle doesn’t react.
I jump to the next one, two away from where the trap button is.
I make a plan in my mind and jump again, but this time, as soon as I hit the next pillar I jump again.
Straight up.
The gargoyle falls for my trick and hits the button.
Suddenly a massive boulder falls on the pillar in front of me and then falls on to the spikes, the boulder gets skewered by the spikes.
A freaking boulder, I mean how sharp would the spikes need to be to pierce it and make it not shatter.
Dizziness takes over me so I sit down, I am way too far up.
When it goes away I get up, I look for the gargoyle, it moved to the next button, three platforms away.
I jump two platforms and then do the same trick, it doesn’t fall for it.
So I do what everybody does, I go to the back of the platform, then run forward and act l am going to jump.
I stop last second and the gargoyle hits the button, the platform falls into the ground.
I look down at it and get dizzy.
While I’m dizzy the platform slowly comes back up into its original position.
When it’s up I decide that I should probably run through everything, I only have an hour in this dungeon anyway.
The gargoyle is at the next button five platforms away, but instead of being in a line, the platforms are zig zagged.

I jump from platform to platform with ease and when I’m at the button platform I rush forward.
I quickly land on the platform and then jump onto the next one.
The platform behind me raises up to the roof, opposite of what the one before did, but this time I didn’t wait for it to reset, I kept going.
Platform to platform I didn’t stop, I looked at death, he is running a little behind.
First time I’ve seen him move, but for being made of stone, he wasn’t slow.
Looking like a stone demon, curved horns, face stuck in a yelling position, two fangs, an eight pack, whoever created him must have been a good sculptor.
I am still faster than it though, what even is my speed?
"Target: Adolescent War Demon Chocobo LVL 32, Name: Kwehzalcoatl" "Title(s): Memory Keeper, Kill Stealer, Friend of the Suvunktah's, undefeated in duels, Damsel in distress, Pride, Puff’s friend." "Skills: Analysis LVL 5, Copy Entity Number LVL 3, Mind Acceleration LVL 5, Crushing beak LVL 2, Night Vision LVL 2, Foul resistance LVL 4, Magic Armor LVL 5, Recovery Magic LVL 2, pain resistance LVL 1, Heat vision LVL 1, Pepper Breath LVL 10, Shadow manipulation LVL 1, MP manipulation LVL 2, Fire Resistance LVL 1, Telepathy LVL 3, Life Steal Touch LVL 1, Telekinesis LVL 1, Punting LVL 5, Flamethrower LVL 1, Water Gun LVL 4, Aerial movement LVL 1, Hide Status, Rulers Orders LVL 2, Reckless Charge LVL 1." "Stats: HP: 1893, STR: 1852, SPD: 1604, VIT: 1254, MP: 2101, INT: 1872"
Yes, all my stats are in the thousands!
My skills are also coming along nicely, though most are low level, I have a lot of them, so quantity over quality, I guess.
I am instinctively still jumping from platform to platform while looking this over, and I’m leaving him in the dust.
The hallway turns right, I can’t see the next platform, once I reach the turn I stop and look.
With my enhanced reaction time I quickly find the next platform and jump to it, but that was just enough time for the gargoyle to catch up and slam the button.
The platform disappears, not falls, not rises up, it just vanishes, too late to change trajectories, I look down and panic.
Thoughts filling my head, starting from the hangliding incident, to where I am now, about how can I get out of this mess.
Then one thought changes everything.
“I want to go up.”
Suddenly I stop falling, I just stop as my legs hit the ground, but there is no ground, at that moment I jump.
I reach the next platform.
"Aerial movement LVL 1 has leveled to LVL 2."
The skill that I thought I was never going to use, was my savior.
The skill that I thought was going to bring me down, brought me up.
It is this skill that I was scared of using that in that one moment made me feel relieved.

I run and jump, at every turn I use Aerial movement to jump off of the invisible wall onto the next platform that doesn’t have a button.
I’m glowing red, my pride showing.
After what feels like forever, I reach the end, with Aerial movement at LVL 4.
A brick room, still has the glowing green mortar, about the same as the room the dungeon started with, but there's no door, only a way into death’s room, and a sign.
"Follow instructions from floor 1. What? You say the parkour was difficult and took too long? Suck it up, this is a dungeon."
The gargoyle walks out, I use analyze…
"Analyze LVL 5 leveled to LVL 6." "Target: Gargoyle LVL 39" "Titles: Dungeon Monster, The Death."
I use magic armor, and then run up to him.
He is ready for me as he widens his stance, I run up and kick him.
It does basically nothing, and he runs up and hugs me, trying to crush me to death.
It is very effective as my VIT is my lowest stat.
I don’t feel anything because he is just touching my armor, and with mind acceleration I still am thinking of a way out.
I use flamethrower, the flames do nothing to him, but since we are so close it burns me.
"Magic Armor LVL 5 has leveled LVL 6." "Fire Resistance LVL 1 has leveled to LVL 2."
Since flames don’t work, what about water?
I use water gun, a jet of water starting from my mouth lands on the gargoyle.
He stops crushing me.
We both sit in silence for a second, then he starts crushing me again.
I use water gun again, but this time I MP buff it.
The water slices through his shoulder, cutting off his entire arm, making him let me go.
I back off and wait to see what he does.
He picks up his arm, then puts it back in place, backwards.
It connects and he goes back into stance, with one arm behind him.
He notices and yanks his arm off, putting it back on the right way.
I use the same move on both arms.
He dodges one of them, doing a semi cartwheel, but I dig into his side, cutting him in half.
On his top half, I see a sparkly ball where I cut him, it moves further inside his body as if the stone was liquid.
It must be a core monster, where I can destroy him forever and ever, but unless I get the core he will keep regenerating.
The gargoyle starts using its hands to drag itself towards its lower half.
I run up to kick its legs away, but it only moves 3 feet away.
The gargoyle grabs my leg and throws me towards the wall.
I crash into it and then fall to the ground.
I get up as any damage I take is tanked by my armor.
It is already attached its lower body to itself by the time I got up.
Except its legs are on backwards.
It walks backwards and notices itself, but this time I won’t give it time to reconstruct itself.
I use water gun MP boosted to cut its arms off and cut it in half.
Focusing on trying to put itself back together, it notices too late.
I cut him in half first, then while he is falling, cut him in half again at the shoulders for a total of 5 pieces (Head and shoulders-1 piece, left arm-1 piece, right arm-1 piece, torso-1 piece, Legs-1 piece).
Then I try telekinesis for the first time.
The clumps of rocks move slowly under my telekinesis and I find something out.
Only the legs are moving, the core must have moved to the legs.
I drop the legs and move the rest of the body to the other side of the room.
I then cut the legs in half and then pick it up with telekinesis.
The left leg moves on its own, while the right leg is limp.
I repeat the process about three more times, with two level ups, until only one little piece is moving.
I set it on the ground, to move the other piece out of the way.
I try to put the little piece out of its misery by spraying the entire thing with water gun.
I spray it, but right before impact, the ball rolls out, towards all of the stone.
I try to use telekinesis on it…
"You can't use telekinesis on living things at your level, LVL 5 is required."
Well, that’s just great.
I run after it, it’s really fast for a ball.
It gets halfway into the stone that was its arm, and the arm moves, but I’m not focusing on that.
I reach it and stomp its other half, it shatters.
"You have beaten Gargoyle LVL 39 Entity #900001283992193202" "You have leveled up to LVL 33" "You have gained access to Floor 3 on Cyko." "Would you like to activate Copy Entity Number LVL 3?"
Yes.
"You have activated Copy Entity Number LVL 3" "Gained 395 SPD." "Gained Press LVL 1."
I look over to the parts of stone, all in random positions, except for the hand in front of me.
He was giving the literal bird the bird.
Anyway, I look for a way out, there's nothing except deaths hallway.
I swear, if the door is at the beginning again I will scream.
I run down deaths hallway, a lot of turns later, I see the door, at the beginning.
Then light flashes, I’m with Suvunkilbub again.
“GetofftheteleportpadsoIcanaskyouagain.”
I scream as loud as I can.
