Chapter 30: El Awakens!?

*BOOM*

My ears rang from the loud explosion which El released using those mysterious blood red energies she gathered on the dot at the center of my body’s forehead.

I felt the world turn silent.

It wasn’t because I turned deaf from the explosion.

I am still in my soul form. As such I shouldn’t be affected by such a thing.

Still, it didn’t make any difference.

The world seemed to slow down as I watched my body fall to the ground.

My consciousness was drawn in and overlapped my body.

Immediately after, I snapped my eyes open and ignored the windows that popped up as I called out.

[World Home]!

“El! El!? Where are you!?”

I dashed in the desolate house and went through all the rooms.

Soon after, I opened El’s room.

The room was decorated red. It was her favorite color.

At the center, a king sized bed was located, fit for royalty with red curtains draped all over it.

On the bed lied a familiar figure.

However...her body was slowly fading…

“El!”

I ran to her side and kneeled.

“El! W-what’s happening to you!?”

I asked, but there was no response.

She just slept there...unmoving as her body slowly fades.

Hot tears streamed from my eyes as I repeatedly shouted her name.

I used [Heal], [Cure], or the Holy element repeatedly. So much that the thousands of mana I had were actually nearly depleted.

However...it didn’t do anything…

I didn’t know what to do…

Memories started to appear in my mind.

That day I met her.

That day I went back to [Earth] with her.

That day I first saw her appearance.

That day I first ate together with her.

That day I ventured other worlds with her.

That day I tried to kiss her...only to be kissed by her instead.

Looking back on it now, each and every moment I had recently, she was there with me…

I lifted my head up and roared as loud as I can to the heavens!

“GOD!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!! THE DEMONS ARE DEFEATED!!! WHERE’S MY WISH!!!”

I shouted loudly but only the sounds of rain and thunder replied to me.

“WHERE ARE YOU!!!??? HURRY UP AND FULFILL MY WISH!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE SAVE EL!!! I’M BEGGING YOU!!!...Please...”

Water flowed from my eyes but I don’t know if they were tears or the rain.

I kneeled down on the ground, powerless.

Only at this time, did I notice and turned towards Eu.

Right...didn’t they say...that the wish will only be granted if you kill the Demon Lord?

There isn’t a Demon Lord...nor a Demon King...but the Demon Queen is here…

...Don’t tell me...I have to kill her?

There were a lot of windows that appeared but my eyes only focused on the last one.

Suddenly, I was covered with a bright white light.

When the light dimmed down, I found myself at the center of a dome-like room.

The dome room was colored white and gold, with mysterious pieces of furniture located here and there.

I momentarily felt dizzy but immediately snapped out of it.

I looked at the only figure in the room aside from me.

She had a long golden hair and wore a white and gold loose dress, like ones you’d often see being worn by the Greek gods and goddesses.

It was obvious that she was the kind that didn’t care that her skin is being seen by someone else.

Upon thinking this, I suddenly remembered El again.

She would also often wear loose clothes in the [World Home] even though it wasn’t hot. Still, it was refreshing to look at.

After thinking of El, I forgot about everything again and was no longer enamored by the goddess’ figure.

I stared at the golden eyes of the goddess.

“Please grant my wish.”

“Oho? Well, I would have but then you started screaming at the sky or something earlier. What is it with mortals believing that their gods live above?”

Normally, I would feel embarrassed after being said such a thing or even retort something about where do gods live but...at this time, I didn’t see any reason to waste more words.

“Please save El!”

“El, you say?...Come to think of it, I did see you suddenly disappear from my sight a while ago, where did you go?”

“I went inside my [World Home] to see El.”

...Somehow, I’m getting a bad feeling…

“Hmm...very well, lead me to her then.”

I nodded and walked towards the goddess.

The goddess blinked in curiosity for a while I until I grabbed her hand.

“W-wait! Why are you suddenly-”

I ignored the surprised goddess and immediately transported the two of us in my [World Home] directly into El’s room.

“T-this is!? A God’s Domain!?”

...Huh?

“That’s not it. Anyway, please quickly see what’s wrong with El!”

I shook the bad feeling in my heart and directed her attention to El who was nearly disappearing.

The goddess pouted like a child but still did her job so she turned to see the person lying on the bed.

“Oh my, how beautiful...”

“Please hurry up!”

“Okay, okay~ Sheesh, you are the first human in the history of [Sennerth] to hurry a Goddess!”

The goddess Senea pouted again and focused on El.

After a while, she frowned and the foreboding in my heart became worse.

As I had thought, soon, Senea shook her head and sighed.

“If I’m correct, this body isn’t real yes? This is her soul which had formed a body inside you. Though I may be able to stop her soul from fading, I am unable to wake her up.”

“What!? Why!? Aren’t you a Goddess or something!?”

Senea shook her head again.

“Not all gods and goddesses are powerful. I am only considered as all powerful in my world. But not only did you take me to this place which exists outside my world, this girl’s condition is something of another world’s and originated from that world’s laws. I can only do so much.”

“What...”

Hearing her explanation, my heart sunk.

My legs felt weak as I unconsciously knelt down.

“This is all my fault...I wasn’t strong enough! I should’ve listened to her and left this world!”

Regret. I was filled with endless regret.

I felt Senea sigh in front of me and waved her hands.

Bright light covered El’s body.

When the light dissipated, her fading body was whole again.

“I already stopped her soul from fading. As I was the one who had brought you in this world and cause you so much pain, I will allow you another wish.”

Another wish?

Another…

“Can you...can you take her out? I mean, due to circumstances, her soul is bound to mine and she is unable to get out...can you do something about it?”

Senea blinked for a while then smiled wryly.

“You...you got another wish and you’re still using it on her?”

“Please, just...can you do it!?”

Seeing my determination, Senea sighed and shrugged.

“I’m never much of an expertise in souls but...I can try.”

My heart felt a little bit light from what she said. No matter what, she is a goddess. Her words would carry some weight and she wouldn’t half-heartedly do something she had promised.

I felt excited at the thought.

If she were to be successful, then that means...all I need to do now is to find a way to wake her up!

After that, she can finally go out and walk freely outside me.

But...somehow...thinking of that made me feel depressed.

And I hate the fact that a corner of my mind is hoping that Senea will fail…

I gritted my teeth and waited for the outcome.

Senea turned around and hovered her hands above El then closed her eyes.

After a while, she frowned.

“This...is weird...”

“W-what is it!? What happened!?”

“No...this...ah!?”

All of a sudden, the goddess Senea collapsed.

...Eh? W-what just happened!?

“Senea! Senea! Hey! Wake up!”

I shook her but no matter what, she didn’t wake up.

Suddenly, El sat up!

“El! El! Thank god! You’re awake!”

I momentarily put aside Senea and embraced El but...something feels off…

“W-what? Y-you dare hug me!?”

‘El’ shouted angrily and waved her arms.

“H-huh!? My magic!? What’s ha-....!?”

She looked at her arms in disbelief then noticed Senea who was unconscious at the side of the bed.

“T-that’s me!”

“What!?”

H-huh!? W-what the hell does this mean!?

Then, an idea struck my head.

I looked at my status window and searched the [Sealed] status.
