Chapter 28: Hahahahahahaha!

“Queen Euomun, you know that you’re on the wrong side of this war right? This is a war against Demons and the other races! What good will it do if you defeat me!?”

“Shut up! I am where I need to be! I’m satisfied enough knowing you dead!”

Eu roared in anger and small strands of her hair turned white.

“[Nature Destruction]!”

The earth shook at her chant and the trees surrounding them violently rustled.

Suddenly, the ground cracked and a pool of lava appeared. The lava was boiling unsteadily as if it was in a volcano about to erupt!

*Boom*

Pillars of lava erupted from the ground, creating a literal scene of ‘hell on earth’. Or in this case, ‘hell on sennerth’.

“Are you trying to destroy this world!? [Void Eclipse]!”

Slazore grimaced and chanted. Instantly, the sky around them darkened and a strange energy exploded at the center of the destruction brought by Eu.

*Boom*

“[Withering Touch]!”

Eu shot forward and stretched her palm towards Slazore who then hurriedly conjured a black shield in front of him and dodged backward.

Slazore’s face paled as he watched the black shield slowly deteriorate at Eu’s touch.

“[Hell Fire]!”

Jet black flames surrounded Slazore, forming a ring of fire that prevented Eu from approaching him.

Eu glanced at the flame before snorting coldly.

“Hmph! [Frozen World]!”

Cold air appeared and froze the area around them. However, this still wasn’t able to freeze the hell fire so Slazore was able to prevent himself from becoming an ice statue.

Still, the hell fire’s flame has grown considerably weaker due to preventing the extreme cold air from freezing Slazore.

Eu’s eyes are still cold as she glared at Slazore.

With a wave of her hand, the ice around her turned into a spear in her hands.

“[Destruction Point]!”

Unknown energy gathered at the tip of the spear of ice. Eu stretched her back and aimed for Slazore.

*Boom*

Her speed at throwing the spear was so fast, it broke the sound barrier and created a sonic boom!

Slazore’s face paled again and hurriedly summoned a golem from the ground.

“[Doom Bringer]!”

The golem had a menacing dark helmet and armor. It stepped forward and attempted to catch the spear.

*Boom*

Its hands exploded from the impact but it continued to stand still. In a few seconds, its hands began to grow again as it turned towards Slazore and bowed.

“Kill that bitch!”

The golem nodded and begun to charge towards Eu.

The ice on the ground cracked and revealed the earth which then shot up, turning into a sword in the golem’s hands.

It made a large swing towards Eu.

Eu clicked her tongue and jumped into the air.

Seeing this, the golem looked up and stretched its free hand towards Eu.

Suddenly, a black energy gathered at his palm.

Eu gritted her teeth and chanted as more strands of hair turned white.

“[Calamity Soldier]!”

At her chant, the space in front of her distorted and a crack appeared. From this crack, a hand shot out. It grabbed the edges of the crack as if to open it up further.

The crack expanded. Soon, a leg appeared. Then another hand. Finally...a whole body emerged from the crack!

What appeared was a figure of a woman dressed in full body armor. Some might say that she’s a Valkyrie from the myths or an armored angel. But this armored woman didn’t have any normal wings.

Instead, the space behind her cracked into two sides which created an illusion of her having wings.

The calamity soldier didn’t bow towards Eu nor did it even take a glance at her.

She simply looked forward and waved her hand.

Instantly, the doom bringer golem turned into dust as if it didn’t exist at all.

The calamity soldier then glanced at Slazore who was already shaking in fear.

“W-w-what the hell is that!?”

“Calamity Soldier...heh, it took a lot for me to summon her...and I can’t even control her in the end...but if you die along with me...then it’s worth it!”

Eu laughed weakly. Her face was pale and there was even blood dripping from her mouth. It was obvious that she’s unable to fight again after summoning the calamity soldier.

Slazore’s face paled even more and pointed his hands at Eu while shaking.

“Y-y-y-you! You fucking bi-!!!???”

However, the calamity soldier didn’t seem to want to bother with him at all. She simply waved her hand again and Slazore was reduced to dust

Eu sighed in relief upon seeing Slazore dead. However, she still didn’t relax.

The reason was that the calamity soldier suddenly turned around and looked at her.

Eu’s heart froze for a second, before finally sighing again. It was unknown whether she was feeling relief or resignation.

Her eyes become calm as she continued to look at the calamity soldier. Waiting for the soldier to end her life.

The calamity soldier raised her hand and was about to wave it when suddenly, an earth shattering roar emerged from the mountains.

*ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

With that roar, the world itself seemed to shake in fear.

The birds around the area flapped their wings and flew away at fast speeds.

The trees shook and bent down, seemingly cowering or prostrating.

The sky itself darkened completely as if even the heavens left and abandoned the world.

While Eu was also completely terror stricken, the calamity soldier beside her also shook and hurriedly waved her hands to make another crack in the space.

However, it was as if there was an invisible hand, the hand grabbed her and suddenly pulled her into the mountains.

Eu sat on the ground, still shaking.

Even she didn’t know why she was so afraid.

However, that roar from earlier had truly shaken her soul. As if being afraid is the only thing she can do...as if being afraid is the natural thing to do.

Inwardly, she’s thinking that it was a good thing she went to the toilet before leaving earlier…

Over the mountains, Lucas’ white hair had turned jet black as the tremendous killing intent surrounded him like a cloak.

In his hands was an armored figure of the calamity queen Eu summoned just a while ago.

Though the current Lucas no longer had his previous consciousness, a strange new consciousness had formed in its place.

“Hehehehe...finally! I’m free!”

‘Lucas’ roared happily to the sky.

White light covered his face, then mysteriously turned into a smiling white mask with a letter J at the top of its right eye.

‘Lucas’ then turned towards the armored woman in his hands and his smile grew.

“My my~ what a meal to start the day eh? Itadakimasu~”

The mask’s smile cracked and extended further. ‘Lucas’’ head was surrounded by a black cloud which then turned into a dragon-like shape.

The mask appeared on that dragon shape which then opened its mouth wide, swallowing the struggling armored woman whole.

‘Lucas’ laughed, then turned towards where the armored woman came from.

“*Whistle* That chick’s pretty hot. So be it. I’ll let the other ‘me’ ‘eat’ her up! Hehe. In the meantime...I’m gonna eat the main dish in front of me!”

‘Lucas’ smacked his lips in regret before turning towards the demoness floating above in the air.

Just then, a voice reached his head. It was El.

“Y-you...who are you!? What happened to Lucas!?”

“Oya~? Right~ I almost forgot about that other voice in ‘his’ head. Heh. Whoopsie~ Well, don’t glare at me like that~ It turns me on~”

“J-just what...”

El’s face twitched in anger, clearly infuriated with him.

“Hehehehe, I don’t really have a name~ Hmm...well, I suppose calling me ‘Lucas’ isn’t too right either. I know! Why don’t you call me Jester!? Suits me well right? I’d choose Joker but then again, DC has that copyright~ lol.”

“But how did this happen!? Before, it wasn’t like this!”

“Tsk tsk tsk. If things get repetitive, the readers wouldn't read any more you know~?”

“What are you talking about!?”

“It’s boring if things always remain the same! Hahaha!”

“Y-you-!!!”

El obviously didn’t believe such things. This ‘Jester’ personality must’ve existed long before and saw the chance to take over Lucas’ body when he’s unconscious during [Dragon’s Wrath].

Or maybe this is another effect of the skill.

El continuously thought of such things.

“Don’t think so much! It hurts my brain~ Haha”

“You don’t get it? Cause you’re in my brain, then when you think too ha-”

El shouted again.

‘Lucas’...no, Jester laughed and shrugged his shoulders before finally paying attention to the demoness again.

“Alright hotstuff! Shall we start our date~?”

“You...to think that you are the ‘Jack of Cards’...this changes things. Either you surrender to us, or die!”

“Oya oya? I don’t know about this Jackie Card thingy, but I am certainly not a Jack! In a deck of cards, I am definitely-...”

*Snap* *poof*

With a seemingly cartoonish poof, a weird looking cloud covered Jester for an instant before instantly revealing himself wearing colorful clothes with baggy trousers and a three-pointed hat.

The letter J on the top of his right eye remained, however, beside it, another string of letters appeared.

“The Joker!”

Jester’s mouth behind the mask curled upwards as he watched the demoness in excitement and amusement.

The demoness’ eyes contracted and finally realized what he meant but it was already too late.

“Ding ding ding ding! Wrong answer!”

Jester appeared behind her and did a roundhouse kick to blow the demoness to the ground.

“Heh! Blow! The narrator said blow! Nice ‘job’!”

“Who the hell are you talking to!? And what face are you making!? Don’t use Lucas’ face you damn bastard!”

“I’m making a lenny face. Sadly, the narrator can’t type it since he can’t exactly ‘say’ it. You get what I’m saying?”

“I don’t get it! Anyway, get Lucas back already!”

“Non non non~! The fun’s just starting!”

No longer minding the ranting queen in his head, Jester laughed and appeared in front of the demoness.

“Y-you...this power...how is it possible!? I can’t feel my power!”

“Oh, you see here, the previous host of this body is too stupid to know how to use his power properly. All he does is wave his hand like an idiot and control whichever element there is.”

As he said that, Jester exaggeratedly waved his hands and the earth beneath the demoness turned into a hand which then grabbed her.

Then, the surrounding wind turned into sharp blades which pointed at the demoness and stabbed her.

“Gaah!?”

“Oh, wait. That’s just two elements. Let me go through all of them before I continue explaining.”

Next, he controlled the light to shoot light bullets into the demoness. He controlled darkness to blind her. Then finally, he manipulated the water in the atmosphere to surround her with water.

“Alright. That’s earth, wind, light, darkness, water. What else...ah! Fire!”

Jester cupped his fist with his palm as he remembered. He looked left and right, seemingly trying to find fire somewhere.

“Damn, if I knew this will happen, I would’ve grabbed that hell fire over there. But it’s already completely out...aha! I know!”

An illusory light bulb lit up on his head and looked at the ground.

He willed the planet’s outer core’s flames to come out and soon enough, a fire pillar suddenly erupted and burned the demoness.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”

“Ah, woopsie~! Used too much~! Used too much~!”

As if he just made a mistake by turning on the heat too much in cooking, Jester blowed at the fire to dissipate it.

Of course, the fire really didn’t disappear because he blowed at it. It was because he controlled it to dissipate.

“Hah! Blowed! The narrator said blowed! Twice! And it’s not even grammatically correct!”

“You bastard! You will pay for this!”

“Hm? Oh! You’re still alive dear~?”

Jester made an exaggerated shocked expression as he looked at the demoness in shock.

The demoness no longer had her original otherworldly beauty. Instead, her face and body had been scorched and riddled with wounds.

“Bastard! You better hope I die now! Or else, you will suffer a hundred times more!”

“Oh, okay. Die then.”

Jester shrugged and gathered a huge ball of qi on his hands.

“KAME! HAME! HAAAAA!!!”

“ISN’T THAT RASENGAN OI!!!”

Ignoring El’s rightful retort, Jester ultimately pulverized the demoness to the dust.

“Hey, don’t speak like that. It’s as if you’re saying that she’s trash and I just cleaned her up. That’s rude you know?”

“You were clearly the one who said that!!!”

El began grabbing the ends of her hair in frustration. However, even though she acts like this, in her heart, she was shocked!

Manipulating the qi like that...Lucas had never thought about it and she also hasn’t brought up the idea since she feels that it’s not powerful enough anyway.

Yet this guy...this Jester...he used such a complicated move of rotating his qi like that and at the same time, vibrate it!

Not only that, she was most shocked about his first move.

After he reappeared behind the demoness using illusion spirit formation arrays, he kicked the demoness to the ground.

While this may look simple enough, in truth, he had inserted his qi into her upon impact.

That’s not all. The qi had been ingrained with a premade spirit formation array that is somehow able to disrupt the mana control of the demoness and prevent her from drawing out her mana for power.

El shuddered upon thinking this.
