Prologue: World Gate Online

It has been over a year by now ever since the first ever Virtual Reality Dive Gear, [Portal], has been released along with the first ever Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, [World Gate Online].

As for me, I still haven’t gotten a hold of a [Portal]...boohoo me right?

Once the news of the VR becoming a second reality had erupted from countless news networks and forums, I’ve been so excited to buy one...however...a [Portal] costs about five times my tuition fee! And I’m not even the one paying for my tuition! Meaning, there is absolutely no way my parents would let me buy a [Portal]!

Like that, I started studying hard...yeah, it’s kind of weird to start studying hard just to graduate as early as possible to buy a gaming device right? Well, whatever, it was my only choice…

Part-time jobs? Even if I did that, I still won’t be able to get enough money to buy one!

And so, I finally graduated after a year. The year went by just like that...is what I want to say but to me, this was the longest year ever.

Every single day, anywhere I go, I would overhear people talk about their experiences on the game. As I didn’t want to spoil myself, I hadn’t visited the site yet, nor read any tutorial videos or forums so I can have more fun so it’s not hard to imagine how I hated everyone around me...as a result, I became a recluse, living away from people...and became a loner...yup, I also evaded my friends from before...Maybe I was a bit too extreme?

Moving on, I graduated this year, and now, I’m going to find a job!...Not! Bah, so what if I was a Summa Cum Laude!? I just want to play already!!!

Tossing my toga somewhere along with my certificate, medals, and awards, I finally managed to borrow money from my parents to buy a [Portal] and [World Gate Online]!

Now, new world, here I come!!!
