“Oi! Oi! Wake up you stupid, freeloading little cunt!”
What the…
“Stop sleeping on my floor you little shit! Wait… Don’t tell me he died?! God damnit! I thought someone would finally be able to take me out of this cursed place! Fuck!”
I remember having walked into the house and… fainting immediately.
“Not only am I stuck in this rickety old place, but now there’s a bloody corpse here too! Cunts!”
I was hoping to get to use this house as a place to sleep, but no way is that possible with such a loud person living here too. I lift my head to look around and see that in the middle of the room, inside the octagon and on top of the book, there's what appears to be a small child who would probably reach up to my knees if I had any. She’s laying on top of the back and slamming it with both her hands and feet.
speaking of the book, the book’s cover seems to be made of brown leather and it completely lacks any sort of detailing on it, no name on the front nor on its side, and the paper inside of it don’t look like normal white paper, instead they’re blue and glowi-
“Ah! hey!”
I quickly lay back down.
“No no no no no, I saw you moving! Stop pretending to be dead!”
It seems that while i was absorbed in the blue paper, the little kid (who I now see has wings like a dragonfly) must have seen me.
I slowly begin to begrudgingly get up and look towards the child.
“ ah- er…. ehm…”
“...”
As she’s calming down a yellow light starts shining behind her and making her look like some saint from a church's stained windows.

“My name is Elizabeth and I am the guardian of this sacred Grimoire. Welcome brave traveller”
“...”
“How unusual, I’ve never seen a purple-skinned goblin before, let alone one wearing a mask with red hair.”
“...?” Did she just mistake me for a goblin? Of all things it could’ve been, why did she mistake me for a goblin!?
She squints her eyes and speaks again, this time with a hint of aggravation in her voice, most likely due to me not saying anything.
“Since you have made it so far into such a treacherous forest as this one you must have a purpose, would you mind telling me and I might be able to help.”
“... … …? … …, … …” I tried telling her, but, unlike Charlton, she doesn’t seem to understand me.
“Not much of a talker? I understand, the journey must have been very tiresome and perilous.
Say, do you see the book that’s next to me?” It seems that she had at some point stepped off of the book when i wasn’t paying attention.
“...”
*bulge* A vein could bee seen on her forehead.
“Okay, let’s just say you do.” she said with even more annoyance in her voice.
She then started glowing even brighter, as though she was trying to look like a goddess, and spoke with a voice that sounded forcibly calm.
“This book is what known as a Grimoire, they are magical books that gives its owner vast knowledge. As you have managed to make it all the way here i would like to gift it to you, I think it would help you on your journey.”
I think she tried to smile at me the way that a mother smiles at her child, but honestly it just looked creepy.

“...”
“Well? Go on.”
I slowly walk my way towards the octagon on the floor and try to stay on guard.
“That’s the way, come here young goblin.”
As i got inside of the octagon, Elizabeth's smile turned wider.
“Go on, open the book.” She said, this time with a voice filled to the brim with undeniable anticipation.
“...”
I sit down next to the book, open it and look inside.
Just as i do that, Elizabeth stops glowing and shows as wicked of smile as she could make using a body as small as hers.
“About fucking time you dipshit! Now I’ll finally be able to get out of this magic fucking formation! Now my minion, carry the book with you and go outside!” She shouts at me while pointing towards the entrance.
“...” I sit still, tilt my head and simply look at her.
“...” She responds to my silence with more silence.
“What the fuck! You’re supposed to do what I tell you to do! Why aren’t you taking me outside?!”
I drop the book and close it.I look towards her and see her seemingly frozen in her pose and still pointing towards the door.
As time goes on her smile becomes stiffer and she starts to visibly sweat.
“wai-bu.. n..” She seems to not know what to say. Her hand falls to the side and she says;
“B-b-bu-bu-but the magic formation… It was supposed to make anyone who touches the book fall so madly in love with me that they'll do anything i say... Don't tell me... Am i ugly enough to negate the effect?!?” At this point she has fallen into a full on orz position and sobbing can be heard.
While she’s busy I decide to actually look at what that book of hers actually is.
I open the cover and see the first page.

This is... what? what is this even?
“ah!”
“...?” I look up from the book and see Elizabeth (I’ll just call her Lizz from now on) pointing at me.
“What are you doing?! Don’t touch that!”
I just stare at her, contemplating how my life could've gone from meeting a gentlemanly saint like Charlton, all the way to meeting someone with a fouler mouth than… Than… I don't even know what, I’m not that good at insults, but the point is, she swears a lot.
“Aarrgghh, give me that you stupid goblin!” She swoops in and grabs the book, trying to pull it away from me.
“... …, ….” Man I wish I could actually talk, then i could at least make her realize I'm not a goblin.
Suddenly the book starts glowing brightly, and after it calmed down I see that the Index has changed.

Wait, what? Notes? And what's up with this book?
The book then starts flipping its pages on its own, eventually arriving at one of the last pages, and there it said:

What’s she doing now? I’m really starting to miss you know Charlton, how did I go from you to this?
Man I wish I could actually talk, then I could at least make her realize I'm not a goblin.
Wait, what? Notes? And what's up with this book?
“...” I look at the book in silence.
“...” Lizz looks at the book in silence.
“..” “...” We both look at the book in silence.
