Chapter Two [ 2 ]

Sfx Beep! Beep! Beep!

The incessant beeping sounds emitted from the heart monitor echoed within the confines of the large room.

Upon awaking, the pure white ceiling was the first thing that entered his sights. Pushing away the blanket covers laid onto him, Li Feng sat upright as he took a look at the room.

As he sat up, a jolt of headache made him wrinkle his brows together. Lifting his hand up, Li Feng tried to make the pain subside by massaging it.

Memories? Of the previous owner…

When Li Feng closed his eyes, he could faintly make out two sets of memories. One belonging to his former life while the other belonged to the previous owner of this body.

As if he opened a time capsule, new memories appeared within his head. Through the mess, he tried piecing the fragmented memories together like a puzzle.

Time flowed by quickly as Li Feng sat with his eyes closed, his lips curved up into a charming arc as every minute passed.

Through the sorting of memories, he had more or less grasped the entire situation. Hours flowed by him like a flowing river without any pause.

Previously in the surgical room he woke up in, he probably fainted into a coma due to the large influx of unknown information flowing into the depths of his mind.

During that influx, a searing pain shot through his head and probably triggered the defensive mechanism of the human body, shutting off his consciousness.

Over seventeen years worth of memories had been squeezed into the brain of his, it’s no wonder it had managed to paralyze him with such pain.

One conclusion he could come up with was that when he died from the self-induced explosion, his soul entered the Nirvana and somehow slipped into the body of a person who is close to death.

Probably through the hands of fate itself, both bodies had the exact same names and were also similar in many ways and that was probably how his soul adjusted nicely into the body.

Both Li Fengs had many similarities such as being orphans, hobbies and a pretty face but their personalities vastly differed from each other.

Li Feng had a proud and solidary nature whereas the previous owner had a personality similar to that of a harmless penguin.

Hardworking, gentle and peace loving. He never resorts to violence but because of his exact nature and his charming appearance.

He attracted attention towards himself, mostly envy and hatred from the other narrow minded men and women.

Men bullied him simply because of his pretty face while women bullied him because he looked prettier than them.

Humans are sad creatures.. Li Feng thought as he flipped walked through the memory lane.

That had inadvertently brought him countless trouble which he couldn’t resolve due to his nature. He was someone who asks if the person was alright after getting punched straight in the face.

Enviably, he never collapsed from the heavy bullying. Why? That was because he had another mouth to feed, his nine year old brother Li Xiao Long[ 1 ].

Occasionally after attending school in the mornings, he takes up part time jobs such as modelling and singing since that was his only strongpoint.

The pay checks from the jobs are sufficient to put both him and Xiao Long through school so he didn’t need to work every single day.

Alone, he prepares food for the both of them. Since Li Feng had to take care of the family at a very young age, he had to learn how to do the household.

Especially now that Xiao Long had grown up and had become sensible, they share the workload making it easier on him.

Regarding why he was in a hospital, witnessing a car speeding towards a little white kitten, he selflessly launched himself forward out of instinct.

Saving it from the car crash, he inevitably replacing the kitten’s place resulting in a horrible car crash that pretty much took away his life.

Judging from the past experiences as a battle hardened veteran, the injuries the deceased Li Feng gotten was very likely to lead to his death and even if he managed to survive, he would spend his whole life as a vegetable.

Since the body was at a near death state, that was probably how his soul had chosen to and slipped into the body.

In the eyes of others, this was very “ Unscientific ” but Li Feng didn’t feel very shocked by it. He had seen too many of the “ Unscientific ” and was pretty much numbed to it over the years.

Feeling grateful for a new body, he swore that he would live as the new Li Feng and fulfil the wishes of the previous owner. That was the most he could do for the deceased Li Feng.

As his eyelids separated, a flash of excitement flashed within his eyes as he pulled out the darned tubes shoved into his arms and nostrils.

Reborn in a different body yet retaining the previous set of memories belonging to a member of the YuLong Group.

Unknown to everyone, a storm brewed silently in the midst in preparation for the arrival of the Eastern Devil that is going to shake the very world.

What and who is the Eastern Devil? Li Feng of course, that was the nickname people gave him since he debuted.

His decisive and brutal methods made the enemies cower in fear, also contributing to the fact that he hailed from China. He was given the nickname Eastern Devil.

Turning his head to the sides, he looked over to the small clock placed on the wooden shelve next to him.

Year 20XX July 4th 12:38 PM

Judging by the year, he had confirmed the fact that he wasn’t sent back in time but infact woke up a week after his “ Suicide ”.

He had read many of the fantasy web novels online and there were many stories regarding rebirth and whatnot but never did he expect for it to occur on him.

Pulling out the drawers, he found his clothes packed neatly into squares cubes. Laying atop it was his worn out wallet and half rimmed spectacles he was given as a gift.

Wanting to get off the bed, he shifted his body but before he noticed anything peculiar.

Sfx Thump! Rattle! Crash~

Falling face first to the ground, he grazed his face against the floor panels causing an abrasion at the top side of his forehead.

What happened to my legs?! Why can’t I move them!

He screamed inwardly in shock, because he couldn’t move both of his legs. Frowning and frustrated, he flipped through the memories and sighed.

Turns out that he was hit right in the legs when the speeding car collided with him but that doesn’t explain anything!

Unable to do anything, he tried to climb back up into the bed that towered over him after he fell down.

From the abrasion, blood started to flow down his pretty face, obstructing his vision and sullying the white sheets and ground as he struggled to get up.

Sfx Crash~ Rattle rattle~

The door slid open and shorty after, a loud crash followed accompanying the scream of a woman hurting his eardrums.

Covering his ears, Li Feng glared towards the woman who shrieked before getting stunned by the looks of the nurse.

A small oval shaped delicate face with a pair of unblinking eyes, big and pure without a speck of pollution currently filled with shock and worry.

Her small nose wrinkled up along with her agape cherry mouth revealing a pair of cute canines. Her milky skin flushed red as she rushed over to Li Feng after calming herself down.

Dancing back and forth was her pony tail as she ran along, crouching down. The cute nurse tried her best to pry Li Feng off the ground and onto the bed.

After helping him to the bed, she went back to pick up the stuff she dropped and rushed back to Li Feng to check on his injuries.

Pulling her face closer, Li Feng could smell a whiff of faint yet pleasing fragrance wafting before him as she wiped away the blood and dealt with the abrasion.

From her precisive and flowing motions, you can tell that she had done this countless of times, to the point of perfection.

A feminine breath brushed up against Li Feng once more causing him to fall into a trance as he evaluated her.

Never did he fail to notice the twin peaks that swung like a pendulum before him as she carefully and gently cared for him.

Working sole heartedly to the dealing with the injuries like a wife, she didn’t notice the fiery and lusty gaze Li Feng shot towards her.

Her slender hands gentle picked up his head to check for any other injuries, with a sigh of relief, she then looked down at the youth before her.

What a beautiful boy… She thought as she touched and pinched his snow white skin, she played around with his seductive lips and moved her hands downwards as she lost herself while appreciating his body.

Beneath his hospital gown, Li Feng’s little brother started to awaken as if flaunting off its size, it pushed against the gown picking up a small tent.

“Kyaa!” With a shriek, the nurse blushed and removed her hands away from the tent while she panicked, cursing herself for what she had done.

T-to think I did such a shameful thing!

As she looked down at her hands, she could feel the remaining warmth from the seemingly hard and fiery rod she just touched making her blush extend to the tip of her ears.

Looking back at the beautiful boy, she noticed his dejected and pained expression causing her to choke her words back down.

The current Li Feng resembled a scorned wife as he held the blanket against his chest with an aggrieved expression.

How could she.. Seducing me and violating me and pushing me away after she got what she needed, am I a toy boy?! Was what his expression seemed to express.

The two of them didn’t know what to do so they just stayed on the opposite sides silent, when the nurse’s gaze met his fiery and passionate gaze, she shied away immediately.

“*Cough* *Cough* Ahem! My name is Li Feng and who might you be?...” Unable to withstand the awkward atmosphere, Li Feng broke the ice by clearing his throat and asking.

“Hii.. Y-yes… My n-name is Meng Qi Er..” Meng Qi Er fiddled with her fingers as she meekly responded.

Looking at her fidgety appearance, she resembled a cute little rabbit that Li Feng used to raise back at home.

As she played with her fingers, her arms inadvertently squeezed her large peaks together creating a large visual impact enough to cause the nosebleeds of thousands of men.

Gulping down his saliva, Li Feng tried his best to rein his beastly instincts in. Meng Qi Er was like a lamb thrown into a wolf’s den.

Touching his legs, his eyebrows wrinkled up as though he was in stress, Meng Qi Er noticing this hurriedly pacified him thinking that Li Feng was depressed about the loss of his legs.

“I can feel my legs, I just can’t move them for some reason….” Li Feng complained as he pursed his lips cutely.

Then why are you giving me that kind of expression.. Meng Qi Er rolled her beautiful eyes and thought.

Twenty minutes later

Both Meng Qi Er and Li Feng got closer after they found out they had a lot in common, in a brief moment of twenty minutes, they seemed to have already become the best of friends.

Li Feng’s humorous antics made the little beauty chuckle during their conversation, as their conversation was about to heat up.

As if someone poured a bucket of cold water above their heads, a knock on the door can be heard as it creaked open.

A lanky grey haired middle aged man walked in, with a harmless smile on his face, staggering his way into the room.

“Mr Li Feng I presume?” He spoke as he read out from the board he had on his hand, seemingly to double check the authenticity of the information.

“Yes, my name is Li Feng and who might you be?” Li Feng responded, his pleasant voice rang out with clarity.

“I am Dr Wei, the doctor in charge of your care.” Flashing a friendly smile, Dr Wei shook Li Feng’s hands and continued “May I speak to you in private?” Sweeping his glance towards Meng Qi Er.

“There’s no need, you can go ahead and speak your mind.” Li Feng smiled in response.

“Well, what I wanted to speak to you was about the accident you were in and what happened afterwards.”

“At the scene of the incident, your body was already in a critical condition and from the time you had reached the hospital, you were practically pronounced brain dead.”

“In hopes of a miracle, we tried every means to resuscitate you and perhaps god answered our prayers, you woke up but fainted shortly afterwards.”

“Tests and check ups were done on your body and we were very surprised to find that the injuries you sustained were practically non-existent.. It was as if you were healed up completely but we were unable to find out the reasons behind it..”

Looking straight into Li Feng’s eyes, it was as if Dr Wei was trying to see through all of his secrets “Maybe there was something we didn’t know that you knew? Perhaps you could reveal to us what that “thing” was?”

Faced with the straight forwardness of the doctor, he could only answer with a wry smile “I do not know anything myself, maybe god took pity on me and gave me a second chance at life, who knows… I am pretty sure I do not know of anything…” Li Feng shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

“Alright.. * Sigh * You seem to be completely fine to be discharged but just to be sure, we’ll need to another check up on you. As for your legs, from when what we have gotten, they have healed up perfectly but probably due to trauma, you won’t be able to use them for this time being.” Dr Wei spoke as he wrote on the file.

“So when will I be able to use my legs again?” Li Feng asked.

“It depends, probably a day, probably a month and probably a year or more. No one knows but seeing how you healed from the horrible crash, you’ll probably be fine..”

“* Sigh * If only it was possible to find the reason behind your miracle, our medical world would be able to advance further saving even more lives..” He sighed, repeatedly casting his gaze over to Li Feng as he spoke in a pitying tone.

“I really do not know of anything though..” Li Feng smacked his lips and made a wry smile.

“Feng Ge Ge[ 2 ]~~~~” A feminine voice echoed within the hallways of the hospital right outside of Li Feng’s ward before the door slammed open.

Li Feng’s eyes shot out a fiery light once again, yet another beauty appeared before his eyes, dazzling him.

Her messy brown hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall, her charming face flushed red with beads of sweat rolling down her forehead.

Tears sparkled within her mesmerizing bright eyes, her eyelashes trembled at the sight of her injured Feng Gege.

Wearing her school uniform, she gave out a youthful appearance. Her short skirt accentuated her long slender legs attracting anyone who lays their sight on her.

With a stamp, she shot towards Li Feng like an arrow and fell straight into his embrace, her tears streaming down her face adding a few points of charm.

Flipping through his memory, this beauty was actually an associate of the previous owner. Ouyang Feng Ling, a close friend he made during high school.

With a smile, he stroked her back and patted her head as if trying to console a child to which Feng Ling enjoyed.

Doctor Wei and the beautiful nurse Meng Qi Er left the room quietly to leave the loving couple alone.

Five minutes later

“Look at you! You have turned into a big dirty cat[ 2 ].” With a gentle smile, he wiped away Feng Ling’s tears gently.

“Don’t look at me like that, I’ll get embarrassed.” Noticing her gaze, Li Feng said as he scratched the back of his head with a shy expression.

Jolting up and after a slight pause, she replied “You seem different somehow Feng Gege.”

She felt as if Li Feng was acting somewhat different than he usually does, for some unknown reason, a part of Feng Ling likes this side of him.

“* Sigh *I must have turned handsome after the accident.” Li Feng scratched his chin and made an expression of thought, women indeed have an incredible sixth sense.

“Don’t joke about that! Do you know how worried I was! I rushed over right away after hearing about the accident!” As though she was a cat whose tail was stepped on, she jumped up and hissed as tears started to circle within the rims of her eye once more.

“Okay okay! Don’t cry please your highness.. Anything but that!” Feeling the deep concern in her tone, he begged for forgiveness.

“Hmph!” She snorted and turned her head away, showing a different yet cute charm of hers.

“My little princess, please forgive me…”

“Hmph!”

“My big sister !!”

“Hmph! Hmph!”

“My dear wife!”

“*Smack* Who is your wife!”

Thirty Minutes later

Our comrade Li Feng has finally managed to pacify the little devil of a woman after a long ardous battle and had completed all of his check ups.

Before he left, the doctor had forced him to get a wheelchair and a pair of crutches but before he could say anything.

Feng Ling had purchased everything for him and paid for his bills, she knew that he had no money on him and hence paid up for him.

Upon leaving the hospital, Li Feng was greeted by a picture perfect scenery as Feng Ling rolled him along the pathway.

The golden disk shone its divine light upon everything within reach, the streak of blue stretched for miles into the far distances.

Birds chirped as they hopped and flapped from tree to tree, captivating the audiences with their bird songs.

Li Feng enjoyed the feeling of peace, it had been a long time since he was able to actually take a breather.

As they strolled down the park, Feng Ling and Li Feng’s looks and temperament had attracted the eyes of many that brushed past.

Both of them looked like a golden pair, a beautiful woman like Feng Ling paired up with a pretty boy like Li Feng would no doubt draw in the attention like bees towards flowers.

“Hahaha! Take that!”

“Meow!!!~!”

The voices made both Li Feng and Feng Ling look over, after they looked over to the direction where it was coming from.

Li Feng’s face sunk down instantly, his chilling eyes flashed with a murderous intent.

Jie or Jiejie – Big sister.

Mei or Meimei – Little sister.

All of which were used as intimate terms. Either used by siblings, lovers, friends etc.

Big Dirty Cat / Da Hua Mao – Well that is a term in Chinese which I translated but couldn’t find any words better than big dirty cat. It means someone who have dirtied or sullied themselves be it crying or playing in the mud etc, messing up their face.
