《A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel) V2.》Chapter 23. Butting Heads

"Well? What's taking so long?"

"Don't rush me, Storm. It's not that I haven't gotten his scent, rather the issue is that it's all over the place. It seems as if the darn kid had decided to take a whizz on the snow and every surface he could reach!"

Wolverine decided to hold back on the fact that there was a heavy smell of blood and gunpowder accompanied by Andrew's own, as if he had worn it as a cloak. Equally disturbing was that amongst all those smells was the lack of any signs of it all. No puddles, no bullet casings of guns, not even a trace of blood or bodies.

Everything was an eerie white, so clean you could eat off the floor.

And so in light of this strange situation, he decided to do what he did best. Beat the answers out of somebody. Storm and Beast followed behind him as he rushed forward deeper into the Facility, thankfully it didn't take him long to find what he was looking for.

A group of armed soldiers who were obviously ill-prepared for the sudden appears of 300 pounds of dense muscles, whirling metal claws of death, and lots and lots of testosterone and rage.

"Alright, bub, tell me what you know."

Whatever profanities on the tip of the man's tongue quickly died as the X-men placed his fist beneath the other's jaw and slowly placed it right up to the skin. It was enough to draw blood, and seeing as his comrades were all on the floor groaning in pain and the entire place was on lockdown because of the two little monsters they were keeping caged had recently escaped?

The man didn't like his chances, so he spilled his guts before the mutants got the chance to do it for him.

To say that Logan and his friends were deeply disturbed by the news was a gross understatement. Their steps gained even more urgency as they searched every hallway they passed by.

It was a bit embarrassing to admit, but it took him a while to realize that he could, in fact, make his own doorways via charging through the walls.

Absolutely genius, he knows.

He blamed it on the heady mix of bloodlust and his OCD acting up. He just felt the urge to see how well he could coat the walls like a game of Splatoon, and he really really didn't want to let anyone escape too.

Fun fact, the volume of blood in a human is about 7 percent of body weight. This means that the average person with a weight of 150-180 pounds will contain approximately 4.7 to 5.5 liters (1.2 to 1.5 gallons) of paint for him to play with~.

...How the fuck... Who the fuck sat down and thought of this?

The memory and math rapidly flowed through his head within moments, which instantly told him that someone amongst the people he ate and spends far too damn long on such topics for his likings... Goddamn psychopaths. Not that he had much room to talk since he was massacring the lot of them and seeing how fast he would have to slice someone to have that movie magic moment of them staying together for a moment afterward before falling apart.

Which turned out to be really fucking fast because even after the 37th guy he wasn't pulling it off. It could've also been because he was a bigass bear and his claws were pretty thick, but he liked to think it was their fault for screaming and spazzing out ruining the effect.

X-23, or rather the newly christened Laura Kinney wasn't quite sure how to feel at the moment, not that she was used to feeling at all, period. Still, judging from the few books she managed to read she was leaning towards joy with a small dash of liberation.

For once she wasn't fighting alone nor because she was forced too on a mission, no she was in control and she was fighting for her- their freedom. There was a steady burning in her lungs and her muscles ached as she pushed herself further and further pass the blood-soaked corridor. She had memorized the path she needed to take from the mission folder her... Mother had given her.

It was a surreal thought, having a mother. Almost as jarring as when she had finally cornered Zander Rice, the demented and twisted man who made her life a living hell in some misguided attempt at getting back at Wolverine. The mutant she was cloned from.

Not that finding the man hiding like a rat in his office was surprising, no, that was saved for the hidden room he was in that contained dozen upon dozens of clones of herself.

X-24 to 50 he had called them.

Nothing more than floating fetus in glass jars connected to artificial life support. Test tube babies without a surrogate mother unlike herself. Her medical knowledge was mostly in poisons and the best way to dismember a person, but by her educated guess, they were only a couple of months old. 4 if she were to hazard an estimation, barely after the end of the first trimester.

She didn't hesitate to get her pound of flesh from the director of the Facility, and enough for all her "sisters" as well of course. She made sure to blow up the room along with the small forming lifeforms. There was no need for others to share her cursed existence after all.

Andrew was content to let her handle the situation as she pleased and she was grateful that he didn't ask any questions.

Using the Southern entrance they managed to break through all opposite in record time, but unfortunately what greeted them wasn't the tearful reunion she had expected.

Oh, there were tears alright. Her mother's face was bloody and covered in bruises, her right eye was swollen shut and there were 3 cooling corpses by her feet in the snow and a gun in her shaking hands, whether from fear or the cold was anyone's guess. It seems the two escapees had underestimated the woman. She wasn't some helpless damsel in distress and had managed to escape her captors to meet them at the designation point in her plans.

A large smile grew on her face as she took in the fresh air, drinking deeply from the scent of freedom and the sight of her mother.

And then it all faded to black.

In a different section of the Facility, Andrew finally found his target after over an hour of searching. Besides Zander, he might've been willing to let anyone else go if they managed to avoid running into him, anyone besides this bitch that was. She wasn't going to be leaving this wretched place though. Not her dead and cooling corpse, and definitely not fucking alive.

"Kimura..."

"Oh my, would ya just look at that? Who let the dogs outta their cage?"

"Ah crap... Get on the ground, now! Rub some sno-"

Andrew couldn't believe how fast Laura became and how quickly things could've went SNAFU on him, but thankfully he was prepared even if he hoped and prayed it wouldn't happen. He managed to grab onto her and shout out a warning to the doctor before his girlfriend directed her fury at him. It was hard to talk with a punctured lung and having to hold onto a wildly thrashing girl with knives popping out of her knuckles.

Apparently Zander was a bigger stubborn piece of shit than he thought. Even with all the chaos and changes he still somehow managed to get the trigger scent on Sarah. Said woman was obviously confused and distressed, but thankfully she was smart and figured out the situation quickly enough.

She quickly dove down and scrubbed her face raw with the icy powders before taking it even a step further and used the red slush next to her in order to help mask her scent.

Andrew was mildly impressed with her quick wits even as he held onto Laura. He considered just knocking her out or giving her a literal bear hug, but he really didn't want to hurt her. Thankfully the scent drove into a mindless rage and not make her intentionally seek out the origin of the smell thus it was child's play to have her focused on him.

He merely held her as she repeatedly plunged her claws into him. If the comics were anything to go by she should calm down soon enough, maybe in a few more minutes?

"You know, you're my first, Laura. Normally I'm the one doing the penetrating, but I'll make an exception for you~"

Stab. Stab. Stabbity stab-stab.

"Urgh. When this is over, I sure hope you plan to make it up to me for this."

He could numb his nerves to the pain, but honestly, it still sucked getting shanked and trying to hold onto the girl who was being more difficult than a bucking bull. Bulls didn't have enhanced strength and metal claws, nor did they do their best to make you eat the frozen dirt in the middle of winter.

Of course, it wasn't really an issue and he was perfectly ok with just hugging her until she regained her sanity, but sadly there was a certain third party that didn't agree with such sentiments.

Because without his comprehension she was suddenly knocked away from him and sent flying across the field. He only saw a red and blue blur.

"What the fuck..?"

This... Was not according to the script, not at all.

"Language!"

"... Seriously?"

"Sorry, it's a reflex."

Ok, so maybe admonishing a minor over their cursing while they were trying to deal with the feral girl who looked as if she could be a female Wolverine wasn't the best timing for it. He couldn't help it, he was raised in a tradition and old fashioned house with good wholesome values, such as no swearing, eating your vegetables, and killing was wrong- Unless it was Nazi.

All the important things.

Most people didn't know, but his physical abilities weren't the only thing enhanced when he underwent Project Rebirth and took the Super Soldier Serum. His reflexes and ability to perform complex mental calculations were increased by many magnitudes. Catching his large shield like a frisbee after it slammed into the girl was frankly child play, or rather it would've been if it wasn't for the sudden kick in the gut by the boy he just "rescued".

Steve had gone to check up on the kid's injuries and hadn't seen the blow coming at all.

If Laura had merely been stunned by the blow that slammed her into the tree and buried her in some snow then Captain America was outright incapacitated by the sucker punch which saw to him being sent flying through a tree and digging a nice trench in the ground.

He felt as if he had gotten hit by a train, the strength of the blow reminded him of his Not-So-Jolly green friend. A certain Norse God also came to mind as he slowly got up and let out a groan at the pain in his ribs. A tentative poke and a hiss of pain confirmed for him that, yes, he did just crack a rib or two, and yes he did just get sent tumbling like a rag doll by a kid.

"That's going to smart in the morning..."

He shook his head to get rid of the snow and when he opened his he saw Wolverine, Dare

Devil, and Storm standing protectively over his fallen form. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Beast tending to a woman shivering in the snow next to two men slumped in the snow absolutely drenched in red.

"Woah there, kiddo. It's alright now. Let's all calm down, it's us, remember?"

"Andrew! Please stop. It's me, Str- Ororo. Logan and Hank are here too. It's ok now, you're safe. We're here to take you home."

It seems that the kid was indeed the missing X-men they were looking for. That's a relief, although hopefully, the senior mutant superheroes could get talk him down as Steve could practically taste the boy's hostility emanating in the air. The boy kept a hawk-like glare on the older man even as he went ran to check on the girl, in spite of all the older heroes there warning him against it.

They watched as he dug her out and carefully cradled her body to him. His shoulders were tense, his back hunched ever slightly to better protect her as his knees bent in a way that showed he was ready to take actions within a moment's notice. His eyes were wild and seemed to glow golden in the night, clearly visible even with all the snow blowing in the wind.

It seems the sudden blow had managed to knock the small hold that the trigger scent had on Laura as he quickly held her freezing form against his chest. Super healing and training or not, the girl had been soaked in a mixture of blood and snow and been running around the night in the middle of winter. She was shaking from a combination of cold and mental exhaustion.

He didn't know if she could get hypothermia but he wasn't willing to find out.

His mind had cleared a lot after he managed to get a hold of her, and he finally noticed exactly who the unexpected guests were. For a moment he had saw red and his hearing turned to white noise as he expected to face some hidden aces that the Facility had kept. It wouldn't surprise him if these inhumane fucks had kept a secret clone of Wolverine or Laura running around, or maybe some killer robot. Maybe Sabretooth was around or Lady Strike.

He certainly didn't expect to see fucking Captain America of all people. A clone? Alternate Reality? Mind Control? He didn't know, didn't care. He was all but too happy to tear the man a new one for hurting Laura until he saw the other heroes and connected the dot.

Andrew was still tempted to make sure the man would need to spend a good few months in the ICU, enhanced physiology and healing or not.

Making sure to angle his body so that the famous shield was far out of reach of Dare Devil, Andrew planned his attack and escape as he sent a message for his Clone and Minions back in the base wrecking havoc about the situation. He wouldn't have as much time to "play" with Kimura as he thought it seems. A pity.

A quick death was too good for her, but maybe he could convince a necromancer to help him summon her soul for some more quality bonding time in the future? That is if he wasn't already in Hell by that time.

Fortunately for the red spandex wearing man, he soon heard two familiar voices that made him rethink how good an idea it was to potentially maim the two renown heroes. It'd also probably worsen relationship between himself and the Avengers or other heroes, it'd be smart to just drop the matter here and hear them out. Which means he probably couldn't steal the shield as a trophy of war after. Darnit. He really really didn't want to just let the punk go with just one kick though.

"... Nah, fuck it. I'm gonna sock him in the face at least once anyway, nobody hits my girlfriend and gets away with it, not even the good old Captain."

It'll at least help him cope with the enormous heaping steaming pile of horseshit that he could tell was going to come after this. He just knows it, his "troublesome bullshit" radar was going off the charts.
