Chapter 48- Grey Skinned Goblins
The extermination group headed towards the first goblin camp, they still had to travel at a snail's pace due to Big Sam.
The group took a break and Hammer began to play a soothing tune, contrasting his annoying personality. Even though Morpheus didn’t like him, he could play a guitar like ringing a bell.
He turned on Mana Sight and he could see mana infused sounds waves bouncing from the strings. He also wondered how Hammer helped during fights, he thought about buffs or maybe even a shield of sorts.
Morpheus was given a Berry of Speed by Theodore and it heightened his senses.
Morpheus sat next to Big Sam who gave him a few breadsticks.
He opened the book he stole and ran through the contents page.
‘Page 1-Agir’
‘Page 2-Apexit’
‘Page 3-Ažarinth’
‘Page 4-Backôm’
There was no way he could read all of these, there were far too many.
“Hey Sam, do you know of any interesting forgotten gods?” He asked.
“Indeed, all the forgotten gods were worshiped on the island. We remembered them when no one else would.” Big Sam replied.
“Do you know of any gods with strong morals and a fierce heart?” He asked.
Sam chuckled. “That’s almost every god Jack.”
“But do you recommend any?”
Big Sam pouted.”Honestly, most people worship the main pantheons. Greek, Norse, Hinduism and Egyptian are the majority in the independent.”
“I don’t understand why everyone just follows those main four?” He asked.
“They are the strongest gods, and people follow strength.” Big Sam responded.
“I suppose.”
“My favourite pantheon I used to read about when I was a youngin was the Akul Patheon, the mortal gods.” Big Sam said.
“Can you Explain?” Morpheus asked.
“They were seen as Arios’s first powerful beings. Each born mortal and represented one of the main stats given to us by the system.”
“Names?”
Big Sam patted his large stomach. “Strength was Jack I believe, Lilith was Charisma and I can’t remember the rest.”
Morpheus scanned the names with his finger and arrived on Jack. He went to the correct page and began reading.
‘Jack was a mortal born from the Akul Patheon. He was the leader of the Akul Patheon and represented the stat Strength. Not much is known about Jack.’
“How does a mortal born become a god?” Morpheus asked.
“That was a question I always had.” Sam said while rubbing his belly.
Morpheus slumped his head, he wanted a god with a history.
“How about the mortal god of Endurance?” He asked.
“No idea, all I remember was those two that I liked to read about.” Big Sam replied.
Morpheus pouted, Theodore the dwarf stood up and cleared his throat.
“Alright, breaks over ye bastards. Wolf group, ye’ll be going through the back of the smaller camp first.”

“I.” Big Sam said.
“Remember! Grey skinned ones are nippy bastards, short and fast. Don’t be caught off guard.” Theodore shouted.
“I.” The group said.
You have been invited to a party by (Tank, Skin of the Dagi, Level 124) Do you accept Y/N?
Morpheus clicked yes and all his team members status popped up.
Theodore nodded and the group headed off. The grey skinned goblins had three camps in total, two smaller ones and a main one. Morpheus had been briefed that the first small camp was bordering between a woodland and a forest.q
“What are grey skinned goblins like?” He asked Big Sam as they were heading through the trees.
“They look more like halflings rather than goblins. They’re toned, skinny and dodge like a man from his misses.”
“Level?” He asked.
“100 too 150.”
Morpheus nodded and they began to slow down their pace when Big Sam raised his hand.
Something fell down from the trees and landed next to Morpheus.
(Grey Goblin, Scout, Level 116)
The grey goblin had an arrow through his head, he looked towards the mountain and saw one of Terra’s Children looking at them.
He nodded and the elf returned it.
“See, sly bastards ain’t they.” Big Sam whispered.
They crept past a few more dead grey goblins and they arrived fifty metres away from the camp.
There were five make shift huts pushed up against the mountain side, Morpheus switched on his night vision and could see a lot of grey goblins sleeping on the stone ground. They were at the east side while group Tiger was on the west.
Big Sam turned to the rest of the group. “They’ll try stealth first, if it goes wrong that’s where we come in.” He whispered
Morpheus’s heart began to beat fast, he was itching to fight. It was hard to describe the feeling, it was instinctual.
He could see the other group slowly enter the camp, daggers in hand. They crept round each hut and slit the throats of the grey skinned goblins. They really looked looked children, small heads with a rather toned body.
Theodore motioned for his group to surround the huts on the outside. The Tiger members stood next to the entrance to each one with blood stained daggers.
Theodore raised his hand and tucked his fist in. The group went to action, and the sound of throats being cut could be heard.
There was silence that followed after.
“Clear?” Theodore whispered to the group.
All of them exited the huts except for one.
Morpheus headed to the hut with Dagger of Black in his hand, inside was a naked elven woman laying motionless, her eyes wide open. A merfolk was bent over her, checking if she was alive.
Morpheus could feel her chest raise with Arcane Pulse.

“She’s alive.” He whispered.
“Area clear.” Theodore's voice said in a normal volume. The dwarf headed over to the hut and looked in.
“Fuckers. She’s been drugged.” He said.
Morpheus crouched down next to her and began to pour Absolute Heal in her.
“You a healer?” The merfolk asked him.
He nodded. “I think she’s asleep but she has a paralysing agent in her. Her muscles aren’t moving naturally.”
“Can you remove the agent?” The merfolk asked.
Morpheus nodded again.
“Cover her mouth.” He said to the merfolk.
The merfolk’s ears bent in confusion. “Why?”
The lady shot up and screamed, punching the merfolk in the face. Morpheus quickly grabbed her head and covered her mouth.
“Shut her up!” Theodore exclaimed.
Morpheus tried to hold her down but she kept squirming and her screams were barely muffled out from the young chimera’s hand. She must have been through a lot.
A skin tentacle made its way into the hut and smacked her forehead. Her eyes rolled back and she fell back in Morpheus’s arms.
“Fuck.” He said.
The merfolk regained his sense. “Poor lass.”
Theodore walked in with a large hammer of his shoulder.
“It must be a larger camp.” Theodore said.
“Why?” Morpheus asked.
“For a lass to be used in an outer camp it must mean there’s a lot more of the fuckers. She looks like she’s birthed a few of them.” Theodore said looking down to her private area.
Morpheus glanced down and it was a complete mess. Even his small healing didn’t remove the rash marks.
He placed his hand on her chest and began to focus the healing around the area.
One of Terra’s Children burst in the tent and pushed the merfolk aside. She dropped to her knees and put her head to the naked elfs.
The rest of the eleven entered the small hut and began to crowd around her. They all began crying and weeping.
He was quite taken aback, from how harsh Arios actually is. These elves were absolutely devastated. After he finished his healing he quickly squeezed, he shook the sight of the elf from his mind and lit a cigarette.
“Is she ok?” Big Sam asked him.
“Yeah, must have been through a lot.” Morpheus’s answered.
Big Sam dropped his head down.
“Why did Terra’s Children act like that?” Morpheus asked.
“High elf, she looked young too.”
“What’s the difference?” He asked.
“High elves never leave the forest n'their virginity is sacred.”
“So it’s a major sin?” He asked.
Big Sam nodded his head aggressively.
The elves carried her out wrapped in white cloth, tears ran down their faces.
“Do you want me to carry her?” Big Sam asked.
The elves looked at each other and nodded in unison.
Big Sam grew a few feet and a small portion of fat from his stomach moved to his back. The skin from his back parted and the elves placed her in between the parted fat. The skin moved around her and she disappeared. A large rune on his stomach glowed and stayed lit.
Morpheus was completely shocked at what he just saw. He didn’t want to ask him in front of the elves so he held his tongue.
“Right, gather round.” Theodore said to the three groups.
“The main camp is going to be larger than I initially thought. The smaller camp should be like this so we’ll repeat the same method.”
Morpheus was disappointed with the news, he was still itching to fight.
As they were circling around the main camp through a thick forest Morpheus decided to ask questions.
“What was that skill?” Morpheus asked.
“You mean my living storage?” Big Sam asked.
Morpheus nodded. “And the tentacle skill." He added, quite curious.
“It’s my race, we are part magical. We use our bodies for everything we do.”
“I can understand that for your tentacle but where is the elf?” He asked.
“Living storage, my stomach is like a space pouch.”
“Is it comfy in there?” Morpheus asked.
Big Sam grinned. “A noble I transported once built a room fit with a double bed and desk so she’ll be fine.”
Morpheus laughed.
“It’s a white space, we are the only kind who can reach it.” Big Sam said.
“I was wondering how it worked actually, mind if I take a look?” Morpheus asked.
Big Sam glanced around, they were at the back of the three groups. He enlarged his back and Morpheus went inside the skin flaps. It was disgusting but he was teleported into a white space. It stretched out in all directions, he saw the female elf wrapped in white blankets on the white floor.
Next to her was a cabin, he picked her up and opened the door. Sure enough a double bed fit with a desk, it was incredible it was inside his belly.
Morpheus placed her on the bed.
“Sam, can you hear me?”
“I, Jack.”
“Can you take me out?” Morpheus asked the white space.
“Sure.”
In the blink of an eye he was in the flabby parts of his back.
“That’s incredible, how many people can you fit in there?” Morpheus asked him as he stepped out from his back.
“It's a dimension of twenty metres in all directions.” Sam replied.
“You could hide an army in there.” Morpheus joked.
Big Sam laughed.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
