Chapter 21
The cicadas chirped while the birds whistled. Purple leaves gently flew in torrents under the cool sky. Spring was the season of life in the country of Mo Ai. The weather was neither too hot nor cold while small animals came out to breed, creating a mythical ambience from their melodic chirping.
"Choo!" Lin Feng sneezed from taking in a breath of pollen. His palm opened up for a purple leaf to land on it. From what he read, this should be the National Symbol of Mo Ai country, the Tree of Zi. It was truly a beautiful country.
He casually strolled along the sidewalk while relaxing his mind in this beautiful surrounding. As his mind relaxed, he began to emit out Nature Energy unconsciously.
The branches of the Tree of Zi sprang up like a gust of wind had just hit it, and began to shake as the leaves of Zi radiated purple light for a brief second.
It was mid-noon, so no one had the time to stroll the street like Lin Feng. As such, he could emit Nature Energy without caring about accidently putting anyone in heat.
The more he emitted out his energy, the more proficient he became at controlling it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there's any way to control the rate at which he absorbs Nature Energy.
Suddenly, roaring sounds of engine came from afar.
VROOOOOM!
Lin Feng looked over to see a white van with completely tinted windows speeding by, followed by a crew of police cars.
Isn't this suppose to be a peaceful area? What is this?
Just as Lin Feng was about to pay it no heed, his Lust Essence stirred as he mentally smelled a very good fragrance. It was inside that van!
He glanced at the crew that just speeded past him and crazily emitted Nature Energy out to match the rate of Nature Energy he was absorbing, causing his body to be half fused into the surroundings.

His pale skin brimmed with an ethereal green and silver, making him look like a flaming ball of green before he abruptly disappeared!
Inside the white van.
A burly man with dark skin and shifty eyes slammed on the pedal as hard as he possibly can while cursing.
"Fuck! Why are there so many of them after us!? We only robbed a bank!"
Next to him, in the passenger seat, a man with a portion of his hair dyed blond had a gorgeous, older woman within his embrace with a knife at her throat.
"Don't worry bro, we have this hostage to stall for time for reinforcements to come. She's quite a stunner too. We can have a lot of fun after we reinforcements arrive."
The man dyed hair gave a lewd laugh and shamelessly grabbed the bountiful breasts of his hostage.
"Bastards...!" the woman hatefully groaned in pain as the knife was dug further into her neck. She had curled, luscious, black hair, just slightly past her shoulders. Her face was wonderfully sculpted in a way that fully exuded a mature charm with a tall, straight nose, and hot red lips perfect for kissing. Not just that, her body was very well proportioned into an hour glass figure, ripe and ready for picking. She looked no older than a person in their thirties.
Within the police cars.
"Incompetent fucks! How did a bunch of thieves manage to kidnap the Mayor under your noses!?" A powerful, enraged voice came from the radio. "Do you bunch know what the consequences will be if her husband finds out!?"
The group of policemen could only remain quiet under the severe reprimanding. It was completely their fault. Not only did they allow for a bank to be robbed, and the thieves to escape unscathed, they also allowed the Mayor to be taken hostage before their very eyes!

"W-with the number of personnels we have, we should be able to safely retrieve the Mayor after we surround them." A strong-looking middle-aged man spoke out from the car.
"I don't care how you do it, just get her back safely! If even a strand of her hair is gone..." A slamming sound came and the radio turned off.
"Chief..." a young man turned to look at the middle-aged man.
"I know!"
Some random warehouse outside Cloud City.
The Mayor was tightly tied to a wooden chair. A duct tape over her hot, red lips while her big eyes frantically moved aroudn the warehouse.
The burly man with shifty eyes paced around the warehouse with a cell-phone in hand while the man with dyed hair circled around her like a hungry wolf.
He had a metal rod in one hand which he played with as he circled around her.
"Stop play around with her! She'll lose value as a hostage if they see her all bloodied." The burly man yelled at his colleague.
The man with dyed hair stopped, "You have a point." He licked his lips and oogled at her lustfully, "You're safe for now."
Meanwhile, outside the warehouse.
Numerous cars surrounded the warehouse, flashing red and blue lights. The chief was out of the modified police SUV with a megaphone,
"LAST WARNING! HAND THE HOSTAGE OVER!"
Silence.
"Shit! They're not listening at all." The chief angrily stomped into the ground.
"Chief! Chief!" A young police man came running to report.
"What?"
"We- we're totally surrounded!" The young policeman pointed in a direction.
The chief irritatedly look over, "W-what?"
They were just surrounding a warehouse earlier and now, they're being surrounded too. What the fuck was going on?
Various trucks and beatened up sedans created a full parameter around the police blockade and men with various tattoos and piercings stepped out of it.

Discover the world with Alz as he sets off on an adventure, experiencing many new encounters, and overcoming obstacles along the way as he slowly delved deeper into the truths behind the world. --- IMPORTANT NOTE: This story is not fantasy-themed and not I didn't omit the fantasy tag by mistake. That said, there is meaning and significance to the title, except that it will be unveiled only much later into the story. Magical elements and the like will not be a factor in most of the story until the very end. tl;dr: This is not fantasy, magic doesn't play a role in the story. --- Updates: Will try to post a chapter once every 2 days PS. This is my first novel so there might be several issues in various aspects which I might not notice so comments are highly appreciated. --- This is more to add pressure to myself rather than anything else... but anyways the story is now part of the pledge!
