《Dragon Ball: Saga Of The Strongest Human》Chapter 101: Frieza´s Demands

Flying to the location given to him, Darc noticed it was very close to the actual site where the Tree of Might was planted. Maybe only a few kilometers away from it to be precise.
It didn't take long for the trio to get to the said location and they could already see the giant spaceship that was landed on the ground. There were a lot of soldiers guarding in its vicinity to make sure no hiccups were happening.
Darc could feel that they had some remarkable strength for cannon fodder. He decelerated and slowly approached further with Arkis and Ocora on his tail. At a certain point, some soldiers blocked his way.
"Who are you?", asked some soldier with his blaster pointed at him. He was also not alone and had a lot of friends around him. The guy also used his scouter while he asked that question.
Darc only looked at the pitiful guy and snorted at his action. Darc made sure to let some energy leak about to let them know his battle power. The scouter immediately burst into smoke after trying to read his power level.
With that, the guy became worried. He knew that if something exploded it meant the power was way over the scale.
"I am a general of the galactic police and also the leader of the western quadrant. I was told Frieza wanted to talk with me. Is it so wise to stop me here?", said Darc as information. He didn't bother to tell him that he actually was the supreme commander now after being promoted again.
It was a title above the general. He was now directly under that jellyfish guy in status. The galactic king or however that guy wanted to call himself. Ironic since Darc was already kinda usurping his position with his growing power and influence. Not that he actually wanted it. He didn't even meet the guy yet but already had a lot of authority.
"I see...I will report this. Please wait here...", said the soldier and escape as fast as he could.
After some time something happened on the top of the spaceship. Darc was still flying and could see a hatch open up on it.
Through that hatch, 9 people were ascending. Darc was actually surprised to see that the one who came out was actually not Frieza but his brother, Cooler. With him, there was also each member of the Ginyu Force and the Armored Squadron.
"Hey, Ocora. Is that the guy you saw last time?", asked Darc her in a low volume while waiting for them to approach more.
"Yeah, that's the guy.", she answered back pretty much immediately.

"Did you actually ever meet Frieza in the past? You know. That isn't Frieza but his brother, right?", said Darc once more.
Ocora blushed a little after hearing his words. She didn't really meet the Emperor, because only the King mostly talked with him. They were warriors after all. And only responsible for conquering planets. Now she felt like she made a fool of herself.
"But the message from them stated that Frieza wanted to negotiate...", she mumbled and frowned after answering that. And the more she thought about him not being here, the more it agitated her.
She was already pissed enough that the GP would try to negotiate in the first place but that is how it was. Frieza, in the end, was the emperor and no one cared much for a race that warmonger for him.
"Keep calm, Ocora. The time will come...", said Darc after noticing her state.
"Hmm, it only means Frieza is not stupid enough to meet in person.", commented Arkis.
Darc only nodded "True. It actually pisses me off a little. Never thought someone would annoy me that much. If he wants to negotiate, he should have come himself. I also wonder how Cooler even got under his brother's command. They were rivals after all. He should still have his own troops. Looks like I threatened them more than I thought. If they made an Alliance then the northern quadrant really will become a dangerous place. If this goes south, I will arrange all forces to conquer the northern quadrant...", he said to them both. He wanted to continue but at that time the enemy already was too close and Darc had to keep quiet.
The one who started talking was obviously Cooler. "Looks like the rumors are really true. That there is someone else that could rival our family in power.", he said in a cold tone.
"Thanks for the compliment. But should you not worry about me killing you now? You know, I expected Frieza and not you, Cooler.", interrupted Darc him.
"Ho? You actually know who I am. You really must be him, then. Darc, was it?", said Coller with a little bit of surprise. "Don't be so hasty in your aggression. I may have lost my troops to Frieza but I am still powerful enough to at least pose a threat to you.", he added.
Darc only leaned his head sideways and looked at him. If he just knew what idiotic words he actually said just now. "Really?", asked Darc and smirked a little. "I would like to see that. I like good challenges."
Cooler looked at him and stayed silent for a while. "I see...Hmpf, I hope my brother is aware of this as well...Now I regret being here...", answered Cooler.

"Hmm? Looks like you noticed something.", said Darc and had to compliment his intellect to suppress his arrogance and see the bigger picture.
"I would be an idiot not to notice that you refer yourself as someone stronger than even that woman beside you.", he told him and pointed at Arkis.
Darc smiled. "Well, I trained her after all. Now, back to the main topic. Let´s get this over with. I am a busy man."
"Frieza wants a 10-year truce.", said Cooler without hesitating.
Darc his brows arched upwards. "Truce? Did I hear right? Do you know that could backfire at you since we also get time to prepare? A truce is something where both sides don't get into any conflict at all for that amount of time?", asked Darc to be sure he heard right.
"You heard correct..." Cooler grimaced a little. He knew he was made fun of right now.
Darc became serious again and placed his arms in front of his chest. "5 years.", he said. "And we get the Tree of Might."
Cooler squinted his eyes at the answer. "7 with the tree..." tried Cooler to negotiate.
Darc waited for a little bit and didn't say anything. He looked to the Tree and thought about something.
"7 with the tree seed and also Turles handed over to the GP. That is the last offer. You can even keep the power fruits you collected. If I get wind of you hiding the seed and planting it somewhere else. This truce will be negated.", said Darc once more.
Thinking about it Darc thought it was alright to give them a little bit of time. There wouldn't be much harm in it. Besides, they got a truce with the GP but not with Goku and his friends. In 5 to 6 years Frieza would probably get to hell anyway.
If those guys kept their deal than it would effectively give Darc a little bit of breathing room to take care of the other quadrants first. Of course, giving these guys room to prepare was also not the best of ideas but it was at least something.
He wondered what Frieza was really up to.
"Alright...The papers", said Cooler and demanded the contract from his subordinate. It was Ginyu that held the papers and wrote something on them. "Here, you can look at the contract. 7 years for the tree and Turles."
Darc squinted his eyes. Why was Ginyu the one that held the papers? Darc smiled a little and came closer. He let his ki burst out even more. To about 300 Million in BP.
That surprised all the people present.
"Whoa, Darc is that strong?", remarked Ocora.
"You...what are you up to?", said Cooler while gritting his teeth. That this guy was really stronger than he was. He could feel the pressure...It also made him somewhat excited for no reason.
"Nothing much. Just don't think I am stupid enough to fall for Ginyu his body change technique.", answered Darc and looked at the guy
"What?", remarked Cooler and looked at Ginyu who was sweating from the pressure.
"Sir, I do have such a technique but I wasn't going to use it...", said Ginyu to him and handed the papers over to Cooler so that Darc would calm down.
Seeing that Darc retracted his energy back somewhat. Cooler came over himself and gave him the papers.
Darc looked through them and saw no weird clauses. He materialized a pen and signed it. Then he copied the document with his magic and handed over the copy to Cooler.
"Well then. The truce begins from today onwards. Make sure that you don't do anything stupid.", said Darc and wanted to collect the tree as well as Turles now.
"I still have a question.", said Cooler.
"Hmm? What is it?", asked Darc and looked at him.
"That woman there. Is she a supreme kai?", he asked him about Arkis once more.
Darc frowned somewhat. Why would he ask that now? "Yes, she is...Why that question now?"
Cooler only blankly stared at Darc. "Please tell Lord Beerus our best regards.", he said and left him now.
After Cooler went back to the ship with his troops, the armored squadron came back and brought Turles in handcuffs and another container that had the seed in it. Ocora took the container and Arkis held Turles constrained.
The forces from Frieza slowly gathered up and seemed to prepare to leave the planet.
Darc was only having a dark expression at this moment and watched all their actions.
´...Is that why they want a truce? Do they think I have a connection with Beerus since Arkis is with us? Where did they find out about the supreme kai? Probably his father. So troublesome. He at least has some respect to that. Let's hope Frieza does not yet know about the life link. Well, actually. He can't know it since not even Shin is aware of it...´, he thought.

No Easy Mode
Reincarnation isn't easy, Sure you might have a status menu but unlike a video game the training is real, the blood, sweat, and tears are real. Unfortunately for Samuel Erasi Fuller he found out that no amount of video game knowledge can prepare you for a world of skills, attributes and magic and even his top notch survival skills only go so far when there are beasts that shoot fireballs or move like a bolt of lighting. Worse yet there are no levels of skills just a name and description and a percentage display! Edit: Yes the poorly done cover is my personal work. Drawing anything using your finger and an app on your phone was not as easy as the tutorial made it look!

Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
