Darc was in complete darkness but still somewhat conscious. He let various questions run through his head. One of them is if he actually is dead. It wouldn't surprise him after he pulled that one move off. But then again he did control his energy at the last moment so that it vanished.

What his plan was? It was pretty straightforward. He tried to damage as much living tissue in his body as possible to create more of these mutated cells in his body. Sure, if one move was wrong he would die.

But he was already so many times near death that he slowly became dull to its sensation. Maybe a side effect he received after being tortured.

He wanted to increase the mutated cells because he felt that they had a better affinity with energy. They could withstand stronger amounts of energy without being destroyed. Which could make it possible to withstand higher stages of the Kaioken. They would even absorb that energy and become stronger themselves. In a way, it was an improvement of his already natural higher limits.

Come to think about it. The natural way of making himself stronger comes from his meridians. But shouldn't everyone have them? Why was it that King Kai acted as if it was something special. The way Darc saw it, they even hindered him in improving himself and even hindered him to use smaller stages of the Kaioken.

Sure, even Broly was special but that was because they were open at his birth. There still should be other cases like Broly.

He floated around in this space for quite some time until he slowly was washed over with a bright light. He reached out his phantom hand towards it and a soft and warm sensation could be felt. Smiling afterward he was happy to have some feeling back in his body.

But as soon as he regained consciousness and opened his eyes he saw an upside down Arkis looking down at him with a blush. What was the reason for that was very simple because Darc had his right hand on her breast.

"Did you have a nice dream?". she asked him with a smile while still holding his head in her lap and sitting in a seiza position.

"..." Darc didn't answer and retracted his hand back to himself. "Yeah, it was good. But it was maybe a little bit too long. How much time passed?", he answered and asked her.

"...Not long. Only an hour.", she gave as an answer to him.

"Alright." He tried to stand up but immediately got assaulted by an immense sensation of pain all through his body "Urgh!" So he lay back down and closed his eyes to feel what is wrong with his body. But even that didn't work. His whole internal ki channels were raptured. After he opened his eyes again his pupils slightly trembled because of this discovery. Did he actually manage to fuck himself up this time around? He felt a slight regret now.

"Stay calm. King Kai said your body is severely damaged internally even after I healed you and needs to recover. Your energy that normally collects inside your body leaves it immediately right now. So you are basically very weak right now.", said Arkis and rummaged in one of her pockets. "Here, let's see if a senzu can help you."

Darc only opened his mouth and Arkis placed the bean near it so that Darc could eat it.

After swallowing the bean nothing really happened. Only the pain vanished and Darc could move again. There was still no energy inside his body to be found.

Because there was really only one way to find out he positioned himself in a lotus position and started to clear his mind. He entered his soul state with the white room. Then he looked to the chalkboard.

"Shit!", he cursed after reading all this and coming out of his meditation. "Now I really have done it."

"That's true. But you are lucky to be still alive, Darc", interrupted King Kai after coming back to the two. "You did a real number on your body and I am quite surprised that your body just took that damage and only needs some time to recover. Seeing that those magic beans also didn't do much to help you just proves my theory I talked about with Arkis. Your state is more like a sickness right now than actual damage. I must say hearing about these beans is really something. That earth has such powerful treasures that could rival Yemma´s fruit in healing ability."

Listening to King Kai´s explanation made somewhat sense. Goku couldn't heal his heart virus unless he had the medicine. Looks like he would have just to wait. Good thing he knew how long it would take to recover. Hopefully, nothing bad happens in that time like another Zamasu visiting or the likes. He also needs to explain this to Chronoa. Oh boy, will she be angry? Probably yes, since not only did he incapacitate himself but he also did it in a weird time where timelines seemed to change.

"So much for trying out something. Now at least you can see that my body is weird.", he said to King Kai who just nodded at his words.

"You should have just waited as I said. Now you are kept to waiting by force. Still, looks like your body is strong enough to still exude power on its own. Remarkable physique you got there and while you recovered I felt you becoming stronger somewhat.", scolded King Kai him.

Arkis heard those words and arched her eyebrows. "He got stronger after getting hurt so badly?", she asked.

"Yes, somehow he did", nodded King Kai.

Arkis looked at Darc again and he only sighed. "Arkis, your thinking right now is correct.", he told her and didn't add anything more to that. She nodded to him in understanding and King Kai was a little bit confused by that.

"So, what are you going to do now that you are forced to rest?", asked King Kai.

"What else can I do than rest? I will just do that. Not really anything to do otherwise.", answered Darc.

Right at that moment, another person appeared on the planet of the North Kai.

"Huh, what are you doing here!", shouted King Kai after seeing the person. It was another Kai. He wore no sunglasses but had a monocle on his left eye. It was the West Kai.

"Hahaha, I am just making a visit to my old friend. Is that really so bad?", said the West Kai.

"Friend? Don't make me laugh.", rebuked King Kai.

"Well, I am just here to speak with Darc over there. Don't make such a scene.", said West Kai and was somewhat more friendly to North Kai.

"With me?", asked Darc after hearing him.

"Yes, you. When I heard from King Yemma that you are here in the Otherworld I just had to meet you, hehe. After all, you are the hero of the west, my friend. With your help, the western quadrant of the universe is so much more peaceful now. I just wanted to thank you for that in person. And while at it tell this old idiot that I won the bet about which part will become safer in a 100 years, hehe.", he said with a snicker and also didn't forget to rub it in on North Kai. King Kai´s part of the universe is still pretty dangerous. Probably the most dangerous part of the entire universe to be sure.

"I see. Well, if there is nothing else I would be on my way.", said Darc.

"Wait, you are actually the person that helped out this guy? Arent you someone from earth?", interrupted King Kai him.

"That is right...I am the one that helped out the galactic police to establish a headquarter in the western quadrant and also eliminated the dangerous enemies there.", nodded Darc.

"Then why didn't you do that first with the northern quadrant! It is the headquarters of the galactic police after all.", shouted King Kai now with a little bit of anger.

Darc frowned. "Why do I need to? Besides, I wasn't always as strong as I am now...well was. And even if you told me to do anything right now, I can't...", said Darc back.

"Huh, did something happen?", asked West Kai now.

"This idiot ruptured his meridians...", said North Kai nonchalantly.

"What! Please don't tell me its permanent!? After all he still our benefactor. Something like that would be bad.", said West Kai in shock.

"It is not. Luckily for him.", nodded King Kai.

"Phew, that's good. Then he can go to the eastern quadrant. I heard there exist a fruit that can help out with such a predicament.", explained West Kai.

"Really? Isn't that good news for you, Darc?", asked King kai him.

"Hmm, not really. If I wanted to travel there it would take months and by the time I find that fruit I probably would already be healed again.", he answered them both.

"Huh, you know how long it exactly will take until you are healed?", asked King Kai.

´Crap.´, thought Darc. "Well, I had my share of internal injuries. So by analyzing my body and seeing the way it goes I guessed that about 2 years should do it."

"Oh, I see. Well, if I had to give you a date for that I would have given you 15 years to recover actually. But since your body seems so resilient it makes sense somewhat.", nodded King Kai to his explanation.

"Alright, I will be going now. We will probably see us again, King Kai. Arkis, can you please use Kai Kai?", he asked her and picked up the staff that he put aside at the wall of King Kai`s home. She nodded and placed a hand on his shoulder when he was finished and teleported them away.

West Kai made big eyes. "Wait, was that just now a Supreme Kai!?", he asked.

"Hehe, didn't notice her, did you? I wonder what punishment you will get for ignoring her.", snickered North Kai and used the uncertainty to get back at his rival.
