Standing right in front of the door Darc started to knock on it in a rhythmic manner.

"Knock knock~", he said and waited. He knew that North Kai was there. And his home was that small that he could probably hear everything from anywhere on his planet.

"Who's there?", came back as a question.

"Alec." , smirked Darc.

"Alec who?", asked King Kai again.

"Alec-tricity. Ain't that a shocker?", questioned Darc now. It was a bad joke but with the standard of King Kai, it will probably work nonetheless.

And just as he thought, it did work and one could now hear a suppressed giggle. And that was only at the start. It slowly was overthrown by a heartful pig laughter.

Arkis was very confused by the way Darc acted and had a rather surprised look on her face after the North Kai started laughing. Was that really funny? She leaned her head to the side and thought about it.

Darc didn't bother explaining it to Arkis after he saw her confusion and walked to the side where the window was to lean forward on it and looking inside at the laughing King Kai.

"North Kai, if you would please come outside it would be much appreciated.", said Darc to him with a smile.

He slowly stopped his laughter and looked at Darc. He cleared his throat and opened his door to get outside.

Still thinking about the joke he started to giggle again. So much for composure but he soon became normal.

"That was a good one. Let me try now. Well, my uncle is so large that when he sits around the house, he really DOES sit around the house.", said King Kai proudly.

Darc his lips twitched a little after hearing that bad joke. It was more humiliating than anything. Why would someone make a joke about one's own family?

King Kai actually thought the movement of his lips was him being good and he started to talk again to tell another joke but Darc was quick on the take.

"King Kai, stop! I am not here to challenge you in a comedy duel or anything. I just thought I would start with a small joke since I heard you like jokes...", interrupted Darc.

King Kai stopped what he started and looked at him. "You are not? Are you sure? You would make a good comedian. Why are you here then?", he asked in surprise.

Darc sighed in relief to not go through any more of those jokes. "I am called Darc. I am here because I would like to take some advice in martial arts from you.", explained Darc to him and looked to Aris. "She is also here for the same reason."

He followed his gaze and saw Arkis still standing around and thinking. Then a shock went through his mind after he got to take a closer look at Arkis. "Th...That person is a Supreme Kai!! Oh no!", he exclaimed and ran right in front of Arkis. "I am very sorry your lordship. I didn't notice you for a moment. Who do I owe the honor?", said King Kai a little bit panicky and bowed slightly forward.

Darc actually chuckled at this moment and Arkis came back to her senses after noticing him talk to her. "You are the North Kai?", she asked after taking a look at him. "How come we look so different? I thought every core person looks similar? What is this antenea?"

King Kai was surprised by her question and got confused. Darc intermixed into that conversation. "Arkis here is a Supreme Kai in training and she hasn't met any other core person yet beside The Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa. So excuse her curiosity. You also don't need to be so formal in front of her.", he explained it to King Kai which became much more relaxed after hearing that.

"Arkis, there are two different types of your race. You know that you were born from the divine tree. Just like Chronoa already asked about the color of your fruit. It has a meaning. There are normal colored fruits and golden ones. King Kai here was born from a normal divine fruit. People like King Kai mostly got no rank and can go up to the rank of Kai and Grand Kai. They never can go further up the ladder of hierarchy than that since they were born inferior...It is a sad fact but that is how the rules are. Though core people born from golden fruits can take on duties that normally would go to core people like King Kai if needed. Just like Chronoa. She also was only a normal Kai until she got her promotion. Anyway, core people that are born from normal fruits have those antennae.", explained Darc after looking back at Arkis.

She listened and nodded. "I understand. It's nice to meet you, King Kai.", she answered and bowed lightly to him.

He waved his hands "No, no. You don't need to be so formal. The pleasure is all mine. So you are training under Chronoa. No wonder I didn't know you. So you are both here to get my martial knowledge. Shouldn't you better go to the Grand Kai?", he said and asked.

"No...The thing we are here for is a little bit special and only you can help. It actually is something about your own technique. The Kaioken.", answered Darc to his question.

"The Kaioken!? You know about my Kaioken technique?", asked King King in surprise.

"Yeah. Remember, we do work for Chronoa so we do have knowledge about some other timelines.", lied Darc straightforward.

"I see. So what is the question? I will try to help out as long as I don't need to show it. I can't use it that well myself...I haven't mastered it yet.", said King Kai.

"You can't use your own technique? How come?"; asked Arkis

"Do not be so rude, Arkis. Mastery can also come in the form of theory. He is after all the creator of the technique. Do remember that. Besides, he can use it. Just not so well.", scolded Darc her and Arkis remained silent after his words.

"Well..." King Kai sweat a little after being questioned like that. "I will try to help..."

"King Kai, the question I got is about the usage. I seem to know how the technique works and I managed to teach it to Arkis here but somehow I am unable to use it myself.", said Darc.

King Kai moved to Darc and touched his arm with his finger. "Can you stop suppressing your energies for a little?"

"Sure." Darc knew what he was doing so he let go of his suppression and let his base energy flow out.

"Oh, you are already this strong in your energy training? Hmm, what's this?", he exclaimed and then stayed silent for a short moment. "Can you actually increase your energy output?", he asked.

"Yes, I can. About 25 times...", answered Darc.

"What!? 25 times!? That's remarkable. Why do you even need my technique when your body itself by nature can increase its output...?"

"It just doesn't feel right somehow. It just feels like this energy should be mine but at the same time, it's just a boost. Since I don't feel any strain while increasing it I thought the Kaioken can help make me even stronger or help me learn to integrate this strength to my base one.", told Darc.

"Hmm, that's not a bad thinking. But the Kaioken works a little bit different than you think. The Kaioken is a technique that artificially opens up one's gates that limit the body. Your body, on the other hand, is naturally opening up some of those gates and that even without any consequence. Just try out my theory. Why don't you go up to Kaioken times 26 to see it for yourself....", explained King Kai.

Darc only arched a brow but just moved aside to test it out. Is it really that simple? He concentrated his energies. "HAAAAA! KAIOKEN TIMES 26!!!" And right after he executed the technique a fiery red blazing aura engulfed his body. The energy that he let out pushed fiercely against the air and produced hard wind in every direction. Bubbles and Gregory were sent flying a few times around King Kai's planet from the momentum.

King Kai himself was a little bit scared by the sudden increase in power. It was way higher than he actually thought. Guess his technique also not only increased the power but also the violent nature of the ki.

"Ugh...Damn, this technique hurts like hell. More than i actually thought...I can feel my body ripping apart from the energy invading my cells...", he said and stopped using Kaioken. He breathed somewhat heavily after it was over. "Looks like my body is even more of a problem than I thought...Hmm? Wait a moment." He furrowed his brows and sat cross-legged to meditate.

He dived deep inside his body and could see that his organs were still damaged somewhat and some residual energy from the Kaioken was lingering in them.

But he also could see some cells that were not damaged at all and actually ate the energy that was around them. Darc contacted these cells and tried to exude some energy from them. And just as he did it, the cell burst out with red energy just like as if using Kaioken itself.

Darc got a little bit surprised and contained that energy with his ki control so that it didn't rampage further.

´What the hell? Did my cells mutate after using the Kaioken? Hmm. Let's see actually´, he thought and stood back up.

"KAIOKEN TIMES 30!", he shouted and activated the Kaioken again. This time he let out as much energy as possible until blood came out of his pores and he looked like a red devil.

"Darc!!", shouted Arkis in alarm because of the image she saw from him.

"You are overdoing it. Stop immediately or you will die!", shouted King Kai as well.

But right at that moment, the energy Darc release exploded like a balloon and everything became silent. Looking at Darc he only toppled over and fell unconscious. Arkis ran over to him and immediately started to heal him up.
