Back at the ship in space. A few months later.

Darc was walking from his room to the kitchen and sat down on a chair in front of the dining table. He looked at the coffee already in front of him and lifted it up to take a sip. Then he looked at Arkis that was cooking something at this moment.

She wore an apron and was pretty focused on stirring something in a pot.

Since he put her on cooking duty she did learn pretty fast even in that regard. The things she cooked tasted really good. Which was good, because he himself was pretty average in cooking.

"What are you cooking right now?", he asked her curiously after putting down his cup back on the table.

She looked at the cooking book on her right she still frequently used. "It's called Creamy Chicken Pesto Pasta.", she answered after reading up the name.

"Sounds delicious. Did anyone call or anything?", he said and yawned a little. He just woke up and still felt tired. In space, the time felt different and his body never really could get used to that. Normally he would meditate but he noticed that from time to time he needs to sleep to truly recharge from his exhaustion. Especially his mental exhaustion coming from overusing his magic in training.

"No, everything was quiet. Why, do you expect a call today?", she said back and now was serving him a plate with the dish. Then she turned off everything she used and also took a plate for herself and sat down beside him.

"Not really. It's just that we had no communication from the outpost for a whole week now and not even our own communication seems to get through. It just gives me a little bit to think about. I can clearly feel those fools are still alive but seem to be ignoring our calls.", he said to her and explained what his reason for his question was.

"Maybe they are just busy right now. There was an attack from Glaze´s people they had to take care off. The outer territory still seems to be pretty much in conflict.", said Arkis.

"That's exactly why I am thinking about this silence. If they wanted to lay low on communication, for the time being, they could at least told us.", he said with an annoyed tone and drank his coffee. "Nevermind, as soon as we get rid of these special unit goons and Glaze himself the rest of the army will be wiped up pretty fast. Hopefully, we don't meet Glaze too soon though. You and I probably aren't ready yet to fight him.", he said with a sigh and started eating."Thanks for the meal."

She watched him eat for a short moment and also didn't say anything anymore and did the same.

After they finished up they returned back to the training room.

"Damn, I should probably start doing some basic maintenance. The room looks worse and worse the longer we use it.", said Darc after looking at all the cracks in the floor and some dents in the metal outer wall from collisions of Arkis and himself while training. The good thing is that even if punching through the wall or falling through the floor they won't meet the endless space but then they couldn't use the gravity generator before fixing it.

Saying that he went ahead and used his magic materialization to fix most stuff to some extent. If one of the machinery broke that would be a harder job but until now it was basic stuff.

Arkis already stood ready at the generator and adjusted the gravitational stress level while he did fix the room.

Slowly the room got dimmer and Darc adjusted his breathing. He looked at Arkis who did the same. His body was already accustomed to this load of g-force and he was already pretty happy that his constitution worked as planned. Though Arkis did get used to this gravity as well and he wondered what constitution Shin-jin have to pull that off. Well, she wasn't as fast as him but she did get used to it.

"Alright, let's get training started. As always, try to keep your power level as low as possible so you can barely move around in this gravity so you get the best benefit out of it. We will spar a little and afterward do physical strengthening of the body.", he said and got ready into his stance.

"I don't like that strengthening. I fear my body will bloat out just like yours...", she answered and also got ready.

Darc chuckled at that. "I already told you. If that was the case you would already have a lot more muscle on you but you actually don't seem to change much in appearance. Don't worry about that. I, on the other hand, am a man. We basically have more muscle tissue to work with and I do take care to not go overboard. Today we do more of stretching exercises anyway. If I wanted to only increase my muscle I could just do that. I can already regulate my muscles after all. Look."

After his words, he concentrated on slowly increasing his energy inside his body and his body got even more muscular than it was before. He looked a little like as if he would burst any moment. "See, but this will make me slower in a fight. And it uses a lot of stamina to upkeep. So even if I can strengthen my attacks I end up being a glass cannon that can't even hit reliably. I may also just burst like a bubble. I am trying to find the balance between sturdy and explosive speed while training my body."

Then he stopped pumping up and made something else. He suddenly reduced in size looked pretty slim. "This here, for example, is something I am working on. It literally sucks my stamina dry doing this but my muscles become pretty sturdy and I can move efficiently" He made some fast kicks and punches and then reverted back to his normal form that looked just like a muscular fit man.

"So that training is not completely useless and you even got an advantage because you don't accumulate too much muscle. Now then. Let's get back to our spar. We don't have much time idling around anyways. In 4 days we are going to meet a little friend to needs a spanking and I want to see how you can fare against him.", he said and got back into his stance.

Arkis nodded and both of them engaged each other. They both didn't use any peculiar moves but their basic martial arts and once could see that Arkis slowly started to smile and enjoying the spar.

Seeing that, Darc also smirked and lifted the difficulty up a little which made Arkis make a few more mistakes that he exploited to send her to the floor.

"You still get distracted. Are you developing a weird hot-blooded knack for enjoying fights? I won't blame you but that could at some points cost you your life. Remember that.", he told her while watching down at her.

Looking up to him she still smiled "You wouldn't hurt me, would you?", she asked him.

Darc then squatted down to her "Fool, what I may refrain from doing doesn't mean your enemies won't do. Now, get back up."

Darc positioned himself again and Arkis got also up to continue.

At that moment Alice´s voice was heard

+Darc, an enemy ship is approaching our route. Should I intercept them or avoid them?+

"Hmm, what size is it? What BP?", he asked and looked at the AI

+Its a bigger ship that resembles the one from my data from earth. Signature scans tell the highest energy reading is about 5 million.+

"Well, look at that. A special unit ship. Intercept it. Time for a little space fight.", he ordered her.

+Understood, preparing two infiltration pods. Lowering g-force in training room.+

"Looks like you get to get some action before we get to our destination, Arkis.", he said to her and started to walk to get his suit. She also followed and got one. Then they climbed into the assault pods. Then they were shot into the enemy ship hull when they were close enough and infiltrated the ship like that.

Inside the enemy ship, the soldiers started to get busy. "Boss, the unknown ship that appeared beside us stopped a certain distance from us. They seem to have shot something but we can't intercept it. It's too fast to lock on."

Then the ship rumbled a little and an alarm was sounded "The enemy seems to have hijacked us, Sir."

The alien in charge looked pretty humanoid with blue skin and golden hair. It watched the screen with the magnified visuals of the spaceship that appeared beside them. "No, look closely. This ship has a galactic police logo on it. These pesky rats actually came this far into our territory. So our information that they actually hunt down our important planets is true. But that they even waited for us to try reinforcing our planet and attacking us now. Damn it. Send out communication to Roitu so he knows we were ambushed. He should send some men. Loco is also probably there already.", he said and ordered a minion.

"Sir Kielan, that's not possible. Something is jamming our communications at the moment.", came back as an answer. "It also looks like there are only two enemies with one being at a power level of about a million and the other doesn't even seem to have any energy signature at all, sir."

"What? Damn it. Alright, I will take care of this. Coming here only with two people. Stupid idiots. I knew the GP was ballsy but to this degree.", he said and moved to where the reported breach was.

At the same time Darc an Arkis cleared out every soldier that came to intercept them.

Shortly after wreaking havoc Darc felt the strong aura moving in on them and appearing in front of them. Just like planned.

After he released his energy and they seem to know his strength they truly came crawling out in confidence.

"It's over now! It's time to show our guests here how to behave when visiting other peoples houses.", said Kielan.

"Arkis, he is all yours.", said Darc and let Arkis have the first move. She charged right at him and engaged him.

"Well, look at that. A little pest like you actually dares to attack me.", said Kielan and tried to block her attack leisurely but when contact was made he could feel that her attack was much more brutal than he expected. "Damn you little rats can hide your power!" He immediately realized that fact after blocking her attack and went all out sending Arkis flying with a kick and destroying a wall in the process.

Darc looked in the direction she was sent flying. She should be alright but looks like this guy is still too much for her. He just knows she should be around the 4 million marks in strength by now.

But that was the bad thing about godly ki. There is no real way to measure it and he himself isn't proficient enough to sense the difference in strength between godly ki and normal ki - yet.

He just knows when he used about 5 million in strength Arkis had problems but could take some hits. That's why he gave her a go here but that attack looked a little too much for her.

So he charged forward against that captain. "Now it's your time? Ha, get lost", he swings his fist but Darc does the same action as he did to Arkis. He held his hand and gave him a knee to his abdomen.

He just gawked after getting that hit and couldn't believe it.

"Do you really think I will be as easy as my subordinate? Don't make me laugh. How about you die now?", said Darc in his muffled voice and shot his Demon Wave at point blank range with all his energy.

Only the arm of that guy was remaining and Darc only threw it away to the side after being finished. "Arkis! Let's move! Let's get this over with. If you are hurt just endure until we are finished!"

She came out of the rubble and breathed a little bit heavy. "Got it. I am alright. Only some ribs are broken..."

Darc nodded and both went ahead and eliminated every other soldier there still was around. Then Darc downloaded every information possible on to a data stick and went back with Arkis to the assault pods. Floating out from the entrance point the air inside the ship got sucked out and a safety barrier was build up at the breaching points. Darc stopped his pod after a distance and opened his door and climbed out to ki blast the remains of the enemy ship.

After that, they both reached back to their own ship, Darc healed Arkis and stored the data stick.

"Well, now we know you can't handle a BP of 5 million yet.", he said to her. "I should have tested the waters first. Alright, at least we know the guy we hunt is weaker than the one we eliminated just now. According to the data, I saw that this guys name was Kielan. The captain of unit 6. On the planet, you will get your chance. Get some rest for today.", he added after seeing how Arkis was looking at her hand and kinda sad about how she lost so easily.

"No, I am fine. Let's continue to train.", she answered him immediately.

He looked at her and sighed. "Alright, then let's get back to training.", he said.

´Not like you will improve in that short amount of time.´, he thought inwardly but then again those last few months sure were fruitful for her.
