《Dragon Ball: Saga Of The Strongest Human》Chapter 6: Guidance And Training

Darc pushed his thoughts to the side for now and played along.
"Darc greets master Zarid" He placed both his arms in front of his chest and rolled his left hand into a fist while the right remained a palm. He slightly stretched them forward. It's something he still remembers from all those movies.
"Interesting. Well, I already heard a lot about you from your father. But you probably got a lot of questions about me, right?" Zarid mentioned after receiving that the greeting.
"Only one, master. When can we start?" Darc wanted to see if he was even worth his time. Wasting time with a trickster is a no go.
"Eager, are we?" Zarid looked at Truff before continuing "Since we pretty much already discussed all matters I will start training him for 4 years. What he learns is dependent on him. Afterward, I will take my leave."
Then he stood up from the couch, picked up his book and placed it with his hands behind his back. "Then let's go, my disciple" He grinned and started walking to the door.
"Wait!" Darc on the other hand first ran upstairs to get changed into his gi.
´Got to look the part if we go training´
Truff looked at Zarid and his son departing and sighed. He looked at the contract that was in his hands. All those zeroes.
Since when did martial artists get so expensive? But he trusted his friend for giving him this contract. Let's hope Darc does learn something at least.
---------
Outside the house, Zarid looked around in search for something.
"Let's go somewhere with more nature, shall we? Do you know a place?"
"There is one I know of.", gave Darc as an answer and point in the rough direction of the clearing. Starting to sprint to its location.
Zarid followed him and Darc noticed his movements. He was actually surprised. This old man was easily catching up to him while he was running. And the old man's running looked like leisurely walking. Is that for real?
He knew this world was ridiculous but until now there was always a mix of reason all things considered.
"Wow, you are fast!", said Darc excitedly. Maybe this guy ain't so much of a fraud but then again he himself is still weak. He should be around a 3 to 5 in Battle power.

That number was whimsical compared to everyone else. He also couldn't really read anyone's power since he doesn't have a scouter to measure it.
"That is easy, child. If you put effort into your training you can also achieve this" Zarid gave as an answer to his reaction and words. He seemed happy to impress his student.
-----
Arriving at the clearing, Darc tried to catch his breathing after running and slowly got a calm rhythm to it. He was actually already a little bit out of breath.
Zarid watched him doing so and leaned his head slightly to the side. He seemed in thought. But shortly after he went to a rock and sat down on it and looked at the location they were at. Then he focused his attention back to Darc.
"Alright, first let's talk about what you think of martial arts. What are they to you?"
The question was a little bit confusing for him. What did he want to hear? Arent martial arts just something like a tool, that one can overcome violent struggles? For him, it is his survival on this earth.
Even if there were no Goku that drove the earth into one mess after the other. There still are people like Frieza. Those, in the end, will eradicate the earth if need be.
Darc shrugged his shoulders "To gain Power maybe?"
That was his answer to the question and Zarid looked at him a little bit disappointed.
"So you think our arts are just there to gain power? Why do we even learn these arts if we only need power? Couldn't we just get that with the raw training of the body?", he asked Darc again.
Darc was interested now. "Huh, then do we learn martial arts to overcome our limitations of the body?"
Zarid smiled "That's better. Raw power will always harm the body when one cannot utilize it. Let's say you got an immense amount of gunpowder lying around. And when you ignite it, you will end up burning it all to only to get a big fireball for a short amount of time." He still continued.
"But if you put the powder into a shell and shoot a projectile with it you would gain more out of it. Anyway, enough of that."

"What you want is to get stronger and we should work on that first. I just tried to see your mentality"
He stopped for a moment after his explanation and smiled.
"Since you are still young let's work on forms primarily and strength as secondary importance. Show me some punches."
Darc was a little bit confused by all this. Why did he even ask him something like that and gave him such a vague answer in return? Nevermind, at least he intends to guide him now.
He made some punches and kicks. They were pretty basic ones and were from boxing and taekwondo. These 2 sports are the ones he tried out in his past life. There were probably nowadays many people who would at least try them out for some weeks.
While Darc did his newbie forms, Zarid was reading his book that he took with him. After 2 minutes he suddenly stood beside Darch without him noticing and hit his arms with a stick.
"Ouch! Hey, what was that for!?", complained Darc immediately and rubbed the spot where he was hit.
"Wrong way of moving. Do it again.", explained Zarid with a monotone tone.
Darc still stared at him and then did his movement again. And once again he was hit.
"Hey! Are you actually training me or just beating me up!!?", he roared this time.
Zarid hit his head in response to his complaining. "Stop complaining. Again.
"Urgh...." Darc held his head and rubbed it a little.
´This bastard is actually a harsh teacher like Piccolo. Well, maybe not that hard but still. It hurts!´
Another hit connected "Start moving or else the hits will increase."
"Old man are you for real!? I will tell my father." Darc had enough retorted.
"But in the contract we made it is said that I can train you as harshly as I want. So it doesn't matter what you tell your father. The only thing that would happen is me going away and you not learning a thing." He hit him again "Its Teacher btw."
Darc grumbled and thought about it again. I guess his old life still influenced him too much in this regard. This is normal here, it is completely normal.
He started to do his form again after some reluctance and was hit again and again by Zarid.
After some time he also started to give comments about his movements.
"Try keeping your upper body straight while kicking."
...
"Use your hips more at this moment. The power comes from them"
...
3 Hours later his whole body was aching and he was exhausted even more than yesterday. No wonder he felt weird doing his training yesterday. It was mostly all wrong.
"Pace your breathing. In...out...in...Always hold your breath for a little when you take air in and then hold a little bit when you exhaled all the air. Remember, when you punch and kick, the most power comes when your body has air to burn. Don't do unneeded movements. Keep calm."
Darc looked at him and improved his mistakes while breathing in, then punch. Breathing out, breathing in, then kicking. And again and again, until he was stopped.
"Well then. The form training is over. Now comes the training for strength."
"WHAT!!?", Darc replied. "I am still a kid you know!?"
He was tired as hell and this guy still wanted to continue.
"It's your prime to start training. And the more exhausted you are the better the training will be taking effect on your body and mind. Now, do you really want to stop and waste all the effort you put into your form just now?"
Darc stayed silent "Alright..."
Zarid let Darc run many sprints and afterward he had to hold some stones and extending his hand while being in a sitting position. The stones were not big but that pose was hell in itself. All his muscles were like gelatine.
"Alright, done for today. Get yourself something to eat and we will continue tomorrow."
´sadistic bastard´ Darc thought and tiredly opened his mouth to say: " Yes...teacher"

Story Arc One, The Savior is fulfilled on Story Arc Five 3. Yes, there is fighting scenes. Three Calamities have been Eliminated in Dandia -- The wide island. 4. The prologue is nearing to begin. 5. Too many conflicts. ------------------------------------------------- Past tense - When I just narrate a past without much actual actions. I mean like a news, or just telling or reporting the past. Present tense - Current event. And flashback with actions. I love flash fiction so world building is not on this story, like narrating a room, narrating a character's traits, etc. As possible, I want them to think, have their decision, etc. etc. etc. etc. Hallo guys, Help me locate my typos on Story Arc 5. I still don't want to edit Story Arc 1-4. I can't wait to reach story arc Chapter Six(I won't spoil). My outlines and very huge flowcharts are waiting. Sorry, about that, I can understand English without format so, each time I'm looking for typos I was hooked in my story and I didn't realize I forgot about them.
