《Flight of Icarus》2.0

Author's Note:
Yes, another prologue... I know most people don't like them but I'll put them on anyway. In my story they show a bit of a real life character and explain some of its words and actions. This time it is about Veronica, the one Kirin/Ace/Ang mentioned hating the most of his classmates in the chapter where he chatted with them.
And this upload doesn't take a space of a real one as it contains not even five hundred words. The real first chapter should come out on Sunday.

Bright sun shone over the small town and danced on the waves. Crowds of people had gathered near the sea to enjoy a free day. Young and old played together forgetting all dignity for the moment.
One group was especially active. It was made mostly of teenagers and a few young adults. They played volleyball, catch, danced with the waves and even built sand castles. All of which was due to a single child among them. He had curly blonde hair, light blue eyes and was the soul of the group.
"Let's go get ice cream!" he said still laughing after their game of catch.
It was a stupid idea to run around in the sand but extremely fun none the less.
"Sure. I'll go and buy!" one of the guys agreed instantly and ran off.
"What do you want to do now Ang?" Veronica asked smiling.
"Let's see... Eat ice cream!" the kid answered beaming and running after the guy.
"You're..." she laughed shaking her head but ran after him.
As Ang got to the shop people's tired faces lightened up.
"How are you doing?"
"How do you like your day out?"
"Are kids taking good care of you?"
The questions were shot from all directions at the youth who beamed at them.

"Yeah Kevin is buying ice cream! And I'm fine thank you!"
"Really? Go ahead then. We're in no hurry"
"Thanks" the kid said happily and rushed to choose what flavour he wanted. After some time he pointed at the banana one. "That!"
"Sure thing" the owner nodded putting a double for him. "This one's from me"
"Thank you very much"
Kevin was let in ahead too and soon they were walking back to the beach. The others rushed to them stealing the bag of ice cream, trying to get their favourite.
"Do you want to go for a swim now?!" Veronica asked, already knowing the answer.
The kid nodded eagerly and ran to the sea people following after him.
"He never tires, does he?" Kevin asked with a smile.
"Not a chance" Veronica laughed.
Ang was an eternal child full of energy and life. You could even say he was the town’s symbol. The place was full of old people whose children had went away looking for a better future and left their own kids to finish school at their hometown. In this place Ang was the youngest and by far too. Because of it everyone saw him as their grand grandchild or a little brother. He was spoiled rotten and could do whatever he wished and whenever he wanted to. To townspeople he was their ray of hope and happiness in an otherwise depressing life. That’s why Veronica and everyone else were prepared to do anything for Ang, he was their everything.

Unexpected Consequences
All that occurred in this tale came about because the Gods Of Light overreached. Becoming complacent with easy victories they bit off more than they expected. The resulting chaos in the five worlds that they controlled brought great changes and opportunities. NB: This story uses UK English spelling.

The Atropos Schema
Book 1 is now complete! NOTE: I'm adding the "Traumatising Content" tag because important characters are mind-controlled in this story. If you dislike reading about mind control, then this story is not for you. Summary: Tutorials. Monster invasions. Fantasy towns in a post-apocalyptic world. Follow Jarek Novak as he fights for survival with the “help” of his personal A.I. “To recap,” I said, trying to ignore my growing headache. “I have a mind-controlling parasite in my brain. The Atropos Schema is facilitating the destruction of my world as I know it, and if it discovers this parasite, then I’m as good as dead. Currently, my world is being overrun by monsters and soon other sapient species will fight for control over my world—unless they already control my world from the shadows.” Samantha said.

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
