Mission Debriefing For REDACTED
Debriefing Transcription: Servilia Jahara
Some parts have been omitted or edited for clarity.
CROSS
Please state your name.
Cross: Really? Servilia are we really doing this?
Please state your name.
Cross: Cross Drachen.
Please state your age.
Cross: What? Why?
Please state your age.
Cross: Twenty.
Please state your position at the Sleeping Dragon Guild.
Cross: Courier.
Jiana: Thank you Servilia, I believe that is enough.
Cross: We don’t need to do all this.
Jiana: Don’t we?
Cross: I’m the one who took Makina to REDACTED. I’m the only one who should be punished. Lexi and the rest were just trying to bring me back.
Jiana: Yet they did not bring you back once they found you.
Cross: I forced them to help me.
Jiana: You forced them.
Cross: Yes.
Jiana: You want to believe you forced Alexis to do something she did not wish to do.
Cross: /Sigh/
Jiana: You are a terrible liar.
Cross: They still shouldn’t be punished. They didn’t do anything wrong.
Jiana: You burned down a building.
Cross: Take it out of my pay.
Jiana: You all but declared war on the REDACTED and the country of REDACTED.
Cross: We didn’t go to them. They came to us first. The Guild is allowed to defend itself.
Jiana: /sigh/ You children are completely foolish. Do you even realize what could have happened?
Cross: I know.
Jiana: You say that but I doubt you truly do. Your actions went directly against my orders.
Cross: Makina isn’t a member of our guild so technically she didn’t break any rules.
Jiana: I am speaking about your own personal actions, Cross.
Cross: The circumstances changed once I saw that Makina had REDACTED. I had to reevaluate the situation.
Jiana: You should have reported back to the guild first.
Cross: The matter was time sensitive.
Jiana: You always have something to say, don’t you?
Cross: I did have a good teacher.
Jiana: I feel our discussion will not be going much further. Very well, is there anything you wish to say?
Cross: I would have died without Lexi. Without Romeo. Without Banksy. If any one part of the team hadn’t been there, we wouldn't have made it in, or out. Lexi was forced to act as a Leader because of my actions. She shouldn’t be punished for that. Neither should the others. So whatever you have planned, I’ll take it.
Jiana: You know that would be a particularly hefty punishment for one individual.
Cross: That’s fine.
Jiana: I believe we are done, then. I would ask that you not speak to anyone else about what you told me today.

Cross: I won’t.
Jiana: Thank you, Cross. I am glad you returned home safe.
Cross: Me too. I’m sorry I worried you.
Jiana: You are my son. I am always worried about you. Now go.
Cross: Yes, Mother. Later Servilia.
Romeo
Note: The majority of Romeo’s debrief has been omitted for the sake of brevity.
Please state your name.
Romeo: Romeo Lovejoy. A Joy to Love.
(Please note: Romeo used this moment to give ‘finger guns’ to both myself and the Mistress)
Please state your age.
Romeo: I am twenty-two years young.
Please state your position at the Sleeping Dragon Guild.
Romeo: Uh… Bodyguard? Puncher? I uh. What do I actually do here? I mean I don’t think I have an actual position. Cross is a courier. Banksy is a lock cracker. Lexi does hunting. What do I do? I guess you could call me a jack-of-all-trades? I just do whatever is interesting. Mostly things that involve breaking things. Breaker. Is breaker a job? Can we make Breaker a job? Put Breaker. Anyway what are we doing? Hey Mistress, if this is about REDACTED then I have some things I want to say right off the bat.
Jiana: Very well. Please continue.
Romeo: Alright so I know that Banksy told you that I was the reason that the building burned down.
Jiana: The Building in REDACTED?
Romeo: No, the Manor I burned down. I mean, that spontaneously combusted. Banksy just said I burned it down. Just like he’s going to tell you I burned this one down. But that isn’t true. I don’t even know how to burn down a building.
Jiana: Romeo you do realize you are holding a bomb right now, don’t you?
Romeo: Bomb? This isn’t a bomb. It’s… Look I didn’t burn any buildings down. And if I did, it’s only because Lexi said I could. Also, who even builds a building out of old, dried out wood? The officials of REDACTED should be ashamed of that shoddy craftsmanship. Also leaving paint that flammable out to the open air? Might as well douse the building in oil.
Jiana: Romeo.
Romeo: Also Cross was totally there. He didn’t say anything about anything. Just let me go on my way, doing what I do. So really we should have him in here and he should be the one in trouble.
Jiana: I have already spoken with Cross. He agrees with your assessment and has requested to take the punishment.
Romeo: Shit. I mean shoot. He did? Well now I feel like a tool. Look, I’ll be honest with you. I might have had something to do with fire. But the REDACTED were holding Makina’s family so I don’t think what we did was really that big of a deal, but if we are going to get punished then fine, I’ll take my lumps. So let’s call it like seventy/twenty. Cross can seventy and I’ll take twenty.

Jiana: That still leaves ten.
Romeo: Yeah, give that to Banksy. He deserves it. Actually can I get that put into the official record?
All of this will be on the official record.
Romeo: All of it? Well then I would also like to say that I handled myself with great aplomb. Without me we never would have even made it through the door. I carried the team on these broad shoulders and I think that should be known. Also… IRELLEVANT INFORMATION OMITTED
Jiana: I see. Is there anything else?
Romeo: Yeah, I guess Lexi did pretty good. I mean, she was bossy, but she’s always bossy. But she was a better kind of Bossy. If I’m being completely honest we might not have made it out alive without her. I take back what I said earlier, I was only carrying the others. Lexi carried herself. She was actually pretty cool. Also are we going to talk about the whole REDACTED thing or is that still hush-hush? Lexi said not to say anything.
Jiana: We have decided it would be best to not alert the world to what has transpired and to allow the return of REDACTED to follow a natural course.
Romeo: Playing the cards close to the chest, I like it. All right well if that is all then I’ll be going. Hot date tonight. Can’t find Mrs. Lovejoy if I don’t go looking! I’ll be back late, don’t wait up!
BANKSY
Please state your name.
Nathan: Uh, Banksy?
Please state your full name.
Nathan: Oh, right. Nathanial Bank.
Please state your age.
Nathan: Eighteen.
Please state your position at the Sleeping Dragon Guild.
Nathan: Oh I uh, I crack safes? I guess. I can infiltrate and memorize building layouts too. Oh I also make keys for people and do some security sometimes.
Jiana: Nathan, I would like to ask you some things about what happened in REDACTED.
Nathan: Okay, but I didn’t really do anything? I mean I’m not saying that I didn’t do anything like I shouldn’t be punished but I mean… I guess I don’t think I really helped all that much? Everyone else did a lot more than me, I think. Most of what I did was kind of… Well let some things about deciphering code first. So the first thing you need to know is IRRELEVANT INFORMATION OMITTED
Jiana: I see. Thank you Nathan. However, while that was a very informative lecture, you did not answer my question. I wish to speak to you about what happened in REDACTED.
Nathan: Oh, right, sorry. Carried away. But really, I didn’t do much. After I gave Lexi the map information, all I did was open one door. Lexi really did all the work. I really didn’t do anything… I’m not very useful to be honest.
Jiana: Oh I wouldn’t say that. Without you, Alexis never would have known where to find Cross and Makina. Furthermore, without your abilities to disarm locks and alarms, you all would have been caught long before you entered the REDACTED. Take pride in what you do.
Nathan. Right! I mean, yeah, I will.
Jiana: Though perhaps temper it somewhat with the knowledge that because of what you did the situation was able to spiral out of control, so to speak.
Nathan: Oh, right, yeah. So, um, is that all?
Jiana: Yes I believe that will be all.
Nathan: Okay. Well thanks, and uh, bye Servilia.
Makina
Note: Edited for brevity
Please state your name.
Makina: You know who I am! What is the purpose of this boorish interrogation?
Please state your name.
Makina: I am Makina, REDACTED REDACTED of the REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED.
Jiana: Thank you for meeting with me, Makina.
Makina: You should be thankful. Now, what is this about?
Jiana: I simply wanted to see how you were doing since the incident in REDACTED.
Makina: I am quite displeased at being unable to leave your guild, yet again, but I do admit I am indebted to the members. For the time being I shall continue to allow it.
Jiana: Thank you. May I ask about your family?
Makina: They are well. They are taking care of the REDACTED, if that is what you are asking about. It will be done shortly.
Jiana: I see. Well then, I suppose there isn’t much more for me to ask.
Makina: Then I shall ask some questions. First of all, where does Cross get off by telling me to IRRELEVANT INFORMATION OMITTED.

Galactic Economics
Humanity enters the galaxy and makes First Contact, only to begin to realize that not everything is at it seems. It appears that the galactic alien community has forgotten to invent some rather important economic concepts that human civilization has taken for granted. This is a look at a hypothetical galactic scale barter economy, how that would work, or how as one of our main characters Sarah realizes... it doesn't. And as the galaxy falls apart at the seams, it's up to the best and brightest in humanity to put things back together. Story contains a lot about markets, logistics, development, and the best and worst of human history. Not so much Space Marines nuking aliens. If you enjoyed the trade negotiations and Senate politics in the Star Wars prequels, and wished that there was an entire standalone story consisting solely of those parts, this might be for you! Galactic Economics is also posted on reddit here.
