《Ant in Magic World.》20. Alone amidst strangers

“What did you do kid? How did you survive being eaten?”
One of the lackeys of the princess’s guardian asked me. I didn’t want to talk with a bee for obvious reasons, but what else was there to do other than to wait for a chance to come.
And I told them that I bit the mouth of one of those larvae.
“Which one?” he asked.
And I told him it was the fattest one.
{Narrator has risen to lv 5}
And for some reason all the other prisoners started looking toward me as if they had seen a ghost.
*Pfft*
The bee I was talking to ended up spiting sparks at me, because he was trying too hard to control his laughter.
“Hey boss, this kid bit the future queen, and even ate half of her face. Isn’t this funny? Hey, hey boss? Stop sulking and…”
But before he could say anything else a long rod like arm came from the shadows and entered the bee’s mouth.
I cringed seeing it happen, but the guardian bee didn’t even flinch, and spoke while removing his arm, which was too deep in the other bee’s throat. “I heard you on the first time. No need to repeat things over and over again.”
*Ting*
[Skill: Respect gained.]
The princess smiled and happily wiggled, but then it happened.
{Perception has risen to lv 9}
It started with the sound of bees buzzing their wings, then the floor started trembling, and then came ominous sounds like that of an owls hooting.
“OoooOoooOoooOooo.”
And for some reason that giant hornet at the end of the room started thrashing around yelling, “Haaha, they are here, they are finally here!”
And even the wax moth joined him in his little circus act, “Are they here? Yes, they are here, finally they are here.”
I couldn’t understand what was happening, but the bees in my cage and the other cages looked worried, no, they looked scared.
I wanted to ask them what was happening, but I had other business to do.
After the noises had started the guards had went through a shiver, and had looked between the cell and the outside.
“The queen is calling.”
The bees behind me mumbled.
It seemed that the attackers were too difficult for just the drones to handle, and therefore the queen had called out every single bee to defend the hive.
{Intermediate Knowledge has risen to lv 6}
The guards contemplated for some time when one of the gritted his teeth looked angrily toward the hornet and spoke to his partner, “Let’s go.”
Who retaliated with stuttering words, but in the end agreed when he assured him that the cells would hold out no matter what anyone did.
Then the guards flew away with a buzz, and the bees standing behind me in the cell got even scared for some reason.
“Ha-ha, they are here, they are finally here…”
I wanted to ask the hornet, if he knew who the attackers were, but my mind stopped me. And my soul said, I had work to do.
At first I touched the bars to see if they were breakable, but an electric shot from the bars later, I gave up on that idea.
Having [Concentration] and [Fast Processing] on, I tried to find something that would be of help, and a corner of the cell we were in started shining with red light.
Turned out because of [Chance]; [Inspection], [Weakness tracking] and [Tracking] had worked out in perfect synchronization to give me an opportunity.

And while a smile was blooming on my face for finding a way out, the giant hornet asked me again if I wanted his help, and I refused him once again. I stabbed my front legs into the wall. And nothing happened, other than me feeling some pain.
“What are you doing? Just leave it. It is not possible to dig through these walls?”
The good natured larvae tried to explain to me how the walls were specially made from a mixture of dirt, bee saliva and honey and was strong like iron.
I looked at her, nodded my head and thanked her for the suggestion and went back on to the work.
But no matter how many times I struck with my legs, I failed to damage the wall. Frustrated I took a bite at it and…
*Slice.*
It cut apart as if it was paper.
*Ting*
[Skill: Dig gained.]
“Huh!!?”
I looked back to see the confused bees and smirked.
“You!!”
But before it could say anything I got back to business.
I bite once, twice, thrice… and on the tenth bite, I fell on the ground completely exhausted.
It turned out that the skill used my stamina to work, and it wasn’t my bite force that had cut apart, but the skill [Dig.]
Tired, I took heavy breaths and looked at the spoils of my previous kill.
The bee whose soft bottom I had already eaten was still lying behind me on the ground. Looking at the perfect snack, I decide to eat it to replenish my stamina.
I ate until my food conserves became full again and got back to digging.
Time passed in seconds and the buzzing of bees coming from some distance became smaller and smaller.
By the time I stopped digging, the bee only had a leg left, which I then ate.

I crawled out of the hole I had dug, and left the cell. Behind me the bees tried to come out, but the hole wasn’t big enough for them.
I looked around and didn’t see anything, but the constant buzzing, and the maniac laughter and cries of bees, coming from far away was still loud and clear.
I was going to walk away when the larvae’s guardian started begging me.
“Please help us! Open the cage and let us out.”
I said, ‘why would I do that’ and he glared at me.
I scoffed at his behavior, flipped him the bird and was going to walk away, when the larvae spoke up.
“Please help us. If you leave now then I don’t think you will be able to leave the hive. Someone will see you no matter what you do and then all the bees will attack you until you die. So why not help us and we will help you back. You open the cage and we will help you escape the hive.”
I was going to open the door, but as if she had seen hesitation on my face, she increased the offer.
“And if we succeed in taking over the hive, then we’ll give you one sixth, no one fifth of our honey produced in the next month.

“Princess!!!”
And the bees behind her and in other cages started buzzing like crazy, but she didn’t listen to them and seriously stared at me.
I pondered for a second, and then walked toward the door.
I asked her to come close to the door and the guardian flinched.
“Why what do you want, huh? Princess I don’t think this ant is trustworthy.”
But the larva didn’t allow him to stop her and crawled toward the door, while speaking, “It was you who said that I should be more daring weren’t you? Now I am daring to believe in this individual. Don’t stop me.”
“But…”
“Enough. It is my decision and if I get attacked, then it will prove that my uncles were right. That will mean that I am too dumb to rule this hive.”

The guardian then didn’t say anything and the princess asked me what I wanted.
I used the bonding skill on her as she came into my range, and she stepped back.
“What is this? What does it mean ‘Nameless is asking for you to join his party’” She asked.
I told her it was my skill which allowed me to know about the condition of my party members and also told her about whisper.
She pondered for a minute, and then nodded her head. She accepted my request and joined my party.
And just as she accepted, suddenly a strange and alien emotion arose in my heart.
It brought with itself worry, anger and a small bit of hesitation. Understanding that it was the effect of the skill bonding, I left it to run its course.
{Princess Lara has entered your party.}
I opened the cage and all the bees came running out of it.
“Free, we are free.”
The bees cried out.
“Thank you!” the princess said and her guardian who had been glaring at me for quite some time also softened his gaze.
{Respect has risen to lv 2…3…4}
I walked at the front toward the gate, but then felt some commotion happening at my back. I looked back and saw the larvae princess crawling toward the cages at the end of the room.
The guardian flinched understanding what she wanted to do and cried out, “NO!! Don’t you open their cages!! You don’t know shit about them. They will kill you first, and then kill us all too!!”
He shouted so loudly that he ended up winded by the end of his sentence.
But she didn’t look back and stopped in front of the Moths cage. She talked something to it for a little and when the moth nodded her head, she then went toward the hornet’s cage.
After five minutes, and some loud laughter from the hornet later, she opened both the cages and came back.
“What did you do? What did you do?”
The guardian shook her head left and right, and I felt as if he would cry out anytime.
She told him that even if they left the cage as they were, there was no way for her to become the queen. So she played a gamble.
“I made a contract with them. They will help us kill my sister and the queen, and well give them both all the honey currently stored in the hive.”
“Princess!!”
“And we’ll give them all the dead bodies of the bees, half of the current larvae’s, and one third of the eggs.”
Her guardian couldn’t speak anything after hearing that. Understanding her nature he knew very well that she hadn’t made the deal with the devil for herself, but for everyone of her followers.
He knew and even I understood that the deal to give up o the lives of so many must have torn her heart, but she had made the deal already.
And then the two heavy weights came out of their cages. They bickered on their way out and finally stopped when they reached us.
I looked past the bees and my eyes met with the eyes of the hornet. His yellow face smirked, and I feeling a bad omen stepped backwards. My step soon turned into [Haste], but before I could even move out of the room, a very sharp sound rang, and my head struck the hornet’s front leg.
{Blunt force resistance has risen to lv 11}, {Haste has risen to lv 6}
He had flown all the way from the behind the bees and had come in front of me. And I couldn’t even see him do so.
I prayed to god to save my life, but my prayer turned out worthless.
{Faith has risen to lv 7}
While I waited with preparation for him to attack me, he simply flicked my head and spoke, “You know what kid? If I liked you before, I like you even more now. Your instincts are too sharp for your own good. But don’t worry I am not going to kill you. No, I’ll even help you escape from the hive, but I need something from you.”
And while I pondered about whether the combo of [Haste] and [Sneak] would be of any help against him, he requested something from me, showing his extremely sharp and large pincers.
“I want to bond with you.”
“Pfft.”
The Wax moth standing behind laughed, and I my face paled. I wanted to say that I wasn’t a female, but his next words removed my confusion.
{Confusion resistance has risen to lv 10}
“I also want to be in that party thing with you… then we’ll be able to meet again. What do you say?”
He asked me as if I had any choice in the matter. Though I wanted to say that I had already met the limit on the number of members I could have In my party, but when I saw his mouth open more than the size of my whole head, I decided to just accept my situation.
“Tiny can wait.’ I thought and bonded with him.
And a serious of emotional bouts thrashed inside my mind.
My emotions changed from being calm to full of rage, and then I became haughty for a second. A minute of feeling extremely hot for some reason later, everything calmed done once again.
{Willpower has risen to lv 3}, {Bonding has risen to lv 3}
{Barry ‘The Horny’ hornet has entered your party.}
The hornet then nodded his head.
“Okay, let's go fuck them bees!”
Princess’s guardian paled hearing that, and the moth smiled; Embarrassed for some reason. And I understood why he had horny as his middle name.

Son of Thunder
Right, I really suck at this synopsis crap. The story follows Taran as he grabs fate by the short hairs and makes his own destiny. Seizing a power that is not his by birth, he uses it to protect those he cares about. There will be magic, monsters and most likely some sex. (This is my first story here, give me some tips and pointers. My grammar may also not be up to snuff. As for a release schedule, nothing set in stone. Though I will try once ever week or two. Length of the chapters will vary. Mature 18+ Sex, violence, gore, strong language)(Holy shit, the old synopsis had some glaring errors.)

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
