《Kindred》Chapter 42 - Miss, Why Do I Feel So Weird?

The moment Griffins got close to the island's beach, many cultivators jumped in the air and attacked the Griffins.
Griffins and humans started mercilessly killing each other.
I was told that Golden Griffins are born at the Peak of Martial Apprentice rank.
Normally, an Acolyte like me shouldn't be here.
Thankfully, Sophia is protecting me...
... Huh?
Didn't Miss just advance to Martial Apprentice rank?
Will she be alright?
I look worriedly at Miss's figure jumping in the air.
Miss is wearing pure white robes.
She looks just like an angel ascending to heaven.
Her white sleeves start burning in black flames.
She raises her hand up and then she swings it down.
A black flaming crescent moon shoots straight towards one of the Golden Griffins.
"Screech!" The targeted Griffin raises a high pitched noise from its beak.
A series of shockwaves flies towards Miss's crescent moon.
In a moment, the black flames and the shockwaves collide.
It looks like the shockwave is winning, but it only forced the crescent moon flames to bend in the other direction, which made the flames absorb the shockwave and continue flying towards the Griffin. The Griffin screeched in surprise, but it was all that it could do.
I burned carcass of Griffin falls to the ground.
The black flames still dancing on its body.
Miss floats down from the sky.
She walks towards the Golden... the Charred Griffin and stabs her hand into its belly.
Soon, she pulls out her milky white hand with a shining gold globe in her hand.
Miss skips towards me and hands me the Core.
"Here, hold this for me, okay?" She smiles and walks off again.
"Awuu..."
So this is a Core... It looks pretty.
The Core is about the size of a chestnut.
I feel a tremendous power surging inside the Core.

Just how much more powerful would the White and Black Cores be?
I see Miss nod in satisfaction? and she jumps towards the sky again.
"SCREECH!" A very loud screeching sound echoed through the island.
A big Golden Griffin appears in the sky.
It looks around twice the size of the other ones.
Also, while the heads of the other Griffins are white, this one's head is completely golden.
It suddenly vanishes.
So fast!
"Guhaa!" One of the cultivators groans in pain and falls to the groun-
"A- Awuuu..."
- A half of the man falls to the ground.
The Golden Griffin cut the man in half.
While the man's legs were falling to the ground.
The Golden Griffin was chomping on the man's head angrily while holding the man's torso in its from talons.
"It finally appeared." Prince Si says coldly.
"Are you ready?" He asks without turning his head.
"""Yes""" Mister Marco, Mister Shen and Prince Shiyu answer him.
Prince Si nods and shouts while jumping up.
"Let's go!"
Mister Shen and Prince Shiyu follow Prince Si.
Mister Marco kneels on the ground and starts drawing some kind of symbols on the ground.
I look at the big Griffin teleporting from one cultivator to another.
I feel like a something really cold piercing my abdomen when I look at the Griffin.
The ring around my pinky starts shaking violently.
Elder Sister Sand... What's going on?
Soon, beads of sweat start forming on my forehead.
Miss, why do I feel so weird?
