《Seekers Quest (A Post Apocalypse LITRPG)》Chapter 35 Day off

It's the first night Louie had spent in the bedroom of the tower since it was formatted. He had noticed something was odd the night before but didn't let it bother him much, he recalled stumbling into the room and falling on the bed, that was the last thing he remembered.
He looked around in confusion as he wiped the sleep from his eyes, for a moment he didn't know where he was, then memory came rushing back and he looked around the room in astonishment. The room was big, bigger than it should be. Much bigger, and it was opulent.
The bed was huge, comfortable, and fit to sleep at least four people and the two opposing walls were floor-to-ceiling windows. He scratched his head because he distinctly remembers seeing no such big windows at the top of the tower when looking from the outside.
'Shit, it's like a bloody five-Star penthouse.'
Everything was white and the materials looked like silk, silk bedding, silk curtains, even silk-looking carpets.
Even though he wasn't a morning person he forced himself to get out of bed and stretched as he walked to the bathroom. He stood in the door and gave a soft whistle.
"Wow, this is amazing, James. This is like a five-star hotel. Shit James, I feel bad that I get to live like this and most of the people still live in tents."
'You are slowly helping to change their living conditions, Sir." He reached for the tap at the hand basin and the water started running before his hand touched the tap.
"Nice."
There was a big marble tub with jacuzzi jets in the middle of the floor but he chose to take a quick shower, there were 7 nozzles spraying water at him and of course, the water was the perfect temperature.
There was something that he assumed was a toilet, but it looked strange, more like a horse saddle with a hole in the seat and there were a couple of strange glowing crystals on what looked like the saddlehorn.
"What is this James?"
'That is the toilet, Sir.'
"Why does it look like this? What's wrong with the toilets that we have here?"
'That is the system-wide recognizable toilet style, Sir. Everything is automated Sir, it even has a wipe function.'
"Nope, nope this is a definite nope. I want you to change this James. I definitely don't need something to wipe my butt. There are just some things a man should do himself. I love the bathroom but that toilet has to go. I want the toilet that I had before the tower was formatted or one that is similar, no automated toilets please."
'So noted Sir.'
"Thank you, James."
When Louie left the bathroom after drying his hair he found a mug of steaming coffee on his bedside table.
He breathed in the aroma of fresh coffee, "hmmm, nothing like strong fresh coffee first thing in the morning."
He spoke into the air. "The other is up or still asleep James?" he asked.
'They are downstairs in the Braai area, Sir. It looked like they had designated it the informal communal dining space.Sir.'
"That is fine, thanks, James. can you tell everybody that the funeral for those that were lost during the fight with the Infernal will be tonight at the barracks for those that want to attend"
'I will do so Sir.'
Louie dressed in some vendor-bought boots with a t-shirt and jeans, with a hoodie top. The Vendor clothes were made from system materials and better quality, but it just wasn't the same as earth clothes. He was determined to visit the sewing circle for some more.

Louie stepped into the braai area and the first thing he noticed was BOB laying on his poof next to a burning fire in the corner firepit.
He shook his head as he walked over and scratched his pet behind the ear.
"Morning everybody. Hope you all had a restful night."
There were a couple of 'Mornings'.
"Ok, we are definitely leaving tomorrow, I know I said it before, but the Infernal threw my schedule out a bit. So please finish everything you want to do today because we will definitely not stay another day."
After a discussion of the schedule for the day, everybody dug into their breakfast.
"Before I forget, there is now a library about halfway up the stairs and I plan to create an armory today so make sure that all your armor and weapons are ready for tomorrow. Enjoy your day guys."
When everybody was done Louie triggered the sculpture and cleaned all the dishes and helped clear the table before everybody left to start their day.
Louie left the tower and noticed a strange distortion around the opening as he neared the gate.
"James, what's with the weird shimmering at the gate?"
'It's one of the quirks of this tower Sir.'
"Explain, please."
'Well Sir with the affinity Golem cores that you included in the formating, the tower has some unique features, it has spatial and time dilation abilities incorporated into the structure. At this level, it is only 1% for both spatial expansion and time dilation.'
"Are you telling me that the tower grounds are bigger and time is slower while inside the property? If I understand and my maths is correct then, for every hour outside, one hour and 36 seconds pass inside?"
'About Sir. You can go to your clock in your interface and set it to show time dilation and it will give you a notification together with the new time when you enter a time dilation zone.'
"It's not much, but it will add up. Ok, we need some groundskeepers for the tower James.
'I got it covered, Sir. The tower has some attendants that will look after the property.'
"You are talking about the Brownies?" Louie smiled as he thought of the little fey creatures he had read about in books.
'Brownies Sir?'
"Yes, small shy fey that inhabits houses and performs tasks like baking and cleaning during the night and they prefer to be paid in sweet honey or chocolate."
There was a stunned silence.
'. . . Aaa, is that a reference from a book Sir? I will call one over Sir, please refrain from any sudden movements, as I mentioned, they are very shy.'
His high intuition directed his eyes to a rock that was laying next to the bush near the wall, as it started to move.
Slowly the rock unfurled and stood up. Louie suppressed the curse and the impulse to draw Drake, he stood still as the head-size daddy longlegs spider moved towards him.
It stopped and took a slow step back as if it wanted to scurry away.
James came walking up to them. He faced the spider and bowed from the waist.
"Sorry for disturbing your rest ®€π£$, the owner of the tower was curious about your race and wanted to meet one of you."
It bobbed before turning to look at Louie.
James cleared his throat. 'Sir, please welcome it.'
Louie coughed. "Umm, . . welcome to the tower, I hope you all find it to your liking."

The spider bobbed a couple of times before it scurried into the bushes and disappeared.
'Aaah James, what the hell? Spiders?' Louie walked with James towards the front gate and raised a couple of benches along the footpath.
"Sir they are not spiders, that is just the shape they settled on to blend in with the theme of the tower when they agreed to occupy the position in the residence."
He shook his head. "They are shapeshifters?"
"No Sir, they are beings of energy. Their race is ancient, it is seldom that they take on a corporeal body, once they do, the change is permanent. The body is made from liquid metal. it will reflect its environment and allow it to move through small spaces, this gives them the ability to easily hide."
'T1000s?'
"Sir, they are here to help and serve the tower."
"Ok James, So what are they called? And I still want to have human groundskeepers too. Talk to Sher, she might know of a family or two that are willing to work and stay here. If you can see to it that they can get two apartments for them to live in, a place where they would have a space to make a garden to grow vegetables or to raise chickens if they want."
"Sir, their names are unpronounceable, so I think brownies will do for now and I will enquire from Miss Sheralee."
xxx
Louie met Sher in front of the Dungeon and the first thing he saw was the dumpster that stood next to the dungeon gates. When he tried to take her with him no BB materialized, asking if he wanted to enter the Dungeon.
No matter what he tried, the Dungeon would not allow her to go with him.
She shrugged and gave him the shopping list. BOB laid down next to her as if saying that he wasn't going anywhere.
There was a row of people in front of the small building next to the dungeon gates.
Louie looked inside the office and saw that it was more of an exchange, people, mostly hunters, brought their excess hides, horns, and claws that they exchanged for coins according to the vendor tablet, which the next delving team would exchange for coin or items from the vendor.
Louie walked through the exchange and entered the empty back office
He had noticed that the corner of the building was touching the edge of the Dungeon gates, and the last thing he needed was somebody to see him enter the Dungeon alone.
He moved to the corner and shaped the wall to open a small hole so he can reach a finger and touch the gate.
He appeared in front of a restroom with his hand on top of a crystal embedded in the wall.
When he entered the restroom he saw that it was different from the others he had been in before, it was more of an office with a vendor against one wall, three doors were leaving the room, the first led into a small bedroom, and ensuite.
The next led into a small workshop and he last opened into something that resembled a dojo.
'Nice. Better get done with the shopping.'
Louie finished up with the purchases from the vendor and noticed a small blinking light on his clock face and was happy to see that it showed the difference between the outside time and the Dungeon time.
There were a couple of shouts of surprise when Louie appeared in the office and he had to explain, but luckily Paul entered and told them that it was Town business.
He thanked Paul and leaving the exchange he went over to where Sher and BOB were sitting, he initiated a transfer and sent Sher all the stuff he got from the Vendor.
"Louie, I have been thinking and I have decided that I will be going with you."
Louie was surprised but glad, there is no doubt that she will be a valued member of his caravan.
"Sure, you are always welcome, but why? I thought you wanted to stay here and be a healer."
"I was, but I think that since I raised my level and gained a class, I must have unlocked my wanderlust. There are two newly awaken healers and then there is that veterinary couple that unlocked their strange healing class also, so there are enough healers here. I'm sure that you will need a Druid and those in Paarl might be needing my services."
Louie held up his hands, "you're always welcome Sher." He stopped walking and with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Is that why you had me buy all the books for Druid spells and lore?"
"Yes, I'm a Druid but I know nearly nothing about being a Druid." She absentmindedly ran her hand over Ansi's carapace where she was riding on BOBs back.
"I got an ability known as wildshape, I know it's an ability to change my shape, but I have no clue how to do that or into what animal or creature in can change into and . . ."
She sighed. "There are just too many unknowns, so I need those books to learn more about being a Druid."
"I agree, more knowledge is always good. As I said previously, you are welcome to stay in the tower, in fact, I would suggest you go talk to James and get a ground floor apartment with access to the grounds for planting."
"Ok, I will do that now." She turned away and started for the tower. He shouted after her, "talk to James and tell him to introduce you to the groundskeepers." She waved to indicate that she got the message before she disappeared around a corner.
He set off in the direction of where he heard the sewing circles' new shop was located
xxx
Louie stood at the table in the new workspace that the sewing circle now occupied, upon entering he had noticed that there was a new sign above the door, showing a spool of yarn with a crossed scissor and needle.
The First asked him to sit across from her at a table, she gave him a pillow that has been embroidered with strange runes and told him that it is a gift and an apology from them for the attack on him by the former First.
The pillow has been embroidered and bewitched by them to grant him a guarded rest and make sure that nobody will influence him through his dreams.
It turned out that the witch that attacked him had some mental issues from seeing her daughter killed by robbers during their escape from Worcester, while she was trying to prevent them from stealing her suitcase full of clothes, seeing him with all the luggage she had thought he had robbed people for it.
He accepted the gift and the apology when they told him that they have done a binding on the traumatic memories and that she is receiving some counseling from her sisters.
Over a cup of tea, he explained to the First that he needed everyday wear and that he would like to help them with fix some clothes as well as grinding a skill that he had.
He explained the skill and shared the BB with her.
Restoration
Restoration is a sought-after skill. It is mostly known for restoring and repairing inanimate objects. It will repair or restore 20% of the damage done to an object over 10 min, the skill can be stacked on any inanimate object till it's been restored to its pristine condition. Raise the skill levels to reduce the cost and increase the effect.
Cost: 10SP/ use + 15SP/ stack
She showed him to a table and placed a stack of torn shirts in front of him.
Louie took one of the shirts, after straightening it as best as he could, he placed his hands on the shirt and concentrated on his Skill. There was a slight shimmer and he saw nearly no change in the shirt.
He received a BB.
Attention
Due to your lack of knowledge and understanding of the item material and composition, your skill is only 1%effective.
"What the fuck?"
"Hmmpf!" Louie turned around and saw the leader of the circle giving him a stern glare.
"Uum Sorry, First. That just slipped out." He was embarrassed as he lowered his eyes to the shirt. He was still glaring at the shirt when she stopped at his table.
"What's wrong?"
He explained to her about the BB he got and how his skill is not working. Upon further questioning, she concluded that the skill will only work on the shirt if he learned more about tailoring since it was not one of the things covered when he learned the skill.
He borrowed one of the best, most expensive-looking ball gowns, he sat down at the table and activated his skill. And started taking the dress apart, just like he learned from Gruhllc, the skill trainer.
Two hours later he stitched the last pearl back on the now not so grand-looking ball gown.
First and the rest of the circle shook their heads as he laid the patched together dress on the table. "What? I'm not a tailor."
First shook her head. "That you are not," she smiled, "I will fix it up."
Louie shook his head, "let me try something."
He had used the spider threat to stitch the parts back together.
The dress shimmered and they turned their eyes away from the bright flash and the new dress. There were a couple of gasps.
Golem Silk Ballgown
This GolemSpider Silk ballgown is imbued with the silk of the Golem Spider, a species spawned in the Huguenot Dungeon. This Ballgown grants the wearer a + 5 to Charisma, is impervious to stains and tears, and has additional enchanting done to enhance the bust of the wearer.
Autofit to size.
Effect: +5 Charisma
Durability: 100/100
The circle stood slacked jawed staring at the gown.
"What did you do?" The First asked.
"It's a spell I have, if there were changes done to an object then I can improve it. Unfortunately, I can't use it on something that has not been changed or transformed in some way. He touched the dress and cast .
"Ladies, I need four sets of clothing, two for casual wear and two for labor, and seven sets of underwear. In exchange, I will give you blueprints for seven sets of clothing. And I will pay you for the clothes I take."
"What are blueprints?" Louie handed the First the blueprint for the ballgown and went into his journal and sent the rest of them each a copy of the blueprint.
"I will share something with you, something that might make you a lot of money."
"What is this secret?"
"The vendor, that mighty salesman, has no idea what underwear is, it does not sell it. For the ladies, it sells some kind of wrapping instead of a bra and for underwear, it sells something that looks like thin disposable diapers"
He walked over to a stand with men's and ladies' underwear and took down one of each. He first used and then on each piece of underwear and then a couple of pants and shirts.
It was just after 14:00 when Louie returned to the tower with new sets of clothing and underwear. He had spent some time doing simple stitching with the spidersilk, (spilk) just to alter stacks of underwear and then use and
After a quick lunch, he went down to the basement to see if he could set up an armorer's workshop down there.
He chose one of the basement storerooms and after making sure that it was big enough for what he envisioned, he started by placing his workbench against the wall.
Then he removed the blacksmith smelter, forge anvil, and all the blacksmith tools together with the metal mana lathe and anything that he thought might be useful in his workshop.
He extruded stone pegs and hooks from the wall next to his workbench and anvil for tools and on the other wall to hang the shields together with racks for swords and pikes and all the other weapons they took from the Dungeon.
He received a BB as he placed the last BOT with scraps of metal on his workbench.
Attention.
You have sufficient weapons and workspace together with tools to create a workshop.
Would you like to designate this space as a workshop/armory?
Y/N
He smiled as he pressed Y.
Congratulations
You have added a new feature to your wizards' tower. The addition of an armory and armorer's workshop will grant a +2% Damage and +2% Defense to every weapon or shield that was created in this workshop.
Any weapon, armor, or shield that is left unattended on the premises of the tower for more than 24 hours will automatically be placed in the armory where the durability of any piece will slowly return to 100%. Any non-system weapon that is placed in the tower property will be placed in the armory where it will slowly be infused with mana over a lengthy period.
Congratulations.
For creating an armory and workshop’ the tower has been awarded its own practice yard and archery range. Higher levels can be achieved by upgrading the yard.
'Yes! Nice.'
He read the notification again and stopped to read the last part of the first BB again.
'Does this mean that gunpowder would be infused with mana and might work again? Shit, that's the last thing that I want. Better not tell anybody about that. . . well maybe Joe.'
Louie shook his head as he entered the workshop, there was a huge metal door against the wall and on the front of the door was a handprint.
He touched his hand to the print and there was a click and he could hear metal bars retracted just like in a bank safe door.
The door opened into the safe room and he saw a counter and behind that, he saw racks of weapons, from firearms to weapon racks filled with swords and axes, pikes spears, and all the weapons that they took from the Dungeon as well as the pallets with firearms that came from the outdoor shop he got as loot from Paterson's deed.
Louie looked through all the weapons before he removed two R4 rifles and a BOT with mage parts that they took from the Dungeon.
He took the two R4 rifles that he had traded the soldiers for together with all the parts and closed the safe door moving towards his workbench.
He started by taking the rifles apart and removing the barrels and replaced one with one of the fire nozzles and the other one with a lightning spike that they had cut from the mages in the dungeon. He placed a mana crystal in each of the stocks and cut channels that linked the mana crystal with the firing pin on which he planned to engrave a release rune.
He looked at the firing pin and saw that he would have trouble engraving the rune since the face of the firing pin was so small.
He was stumped till he thought to ask James if one of the Brownies would be able to cut the rune for him.
To his surprise, a small spider made from what looked like copper crawled out from behind a container filled with screws and hesitantly walked over to the firing pin.
The spider stopped at a piece of paper and studied the rune that he had practiced drawing before moving towards the firing pin.
It did a T1000 stunt and melted around the pin and after about a minute it flowed away from the metal revealing the pin.
Louie searched around till he remembered that there was a magnifying glass in the calligraphy sets.
The engraving was done perfectly. He thanked the small spider and then remembered James saying that they liked metal, so he gave the spider a copper coin.
It looked happy if he judged from its reaction when it pounced on the coin that was near twice its size.
The coin liquefied and was absorbed by the spider, even though it was bigger than the spider, it did not grow in size.
Leon came into the room and stood watching him as he assembled the modified firearms and made sure that the firing pin made contact with the crystal at the end of the tubes.
Leon took one of the pages that Louie had drawn his plans on and studied the mage parts that were laying on the table.
Louie placed his hands on the two rifles and used
He studied the two Rifles that looked like they were made by gnomes that lived in the steampunk era.
R4 Hellfire Carbine
This R4 is the South African variant of the Galil AR in 5.56mm. Minor changes have been incorporated and the folding stock is lengthened. A bipod is fitted as standard. R4 Sylphid Carbine
This R4 is the South African variant of the Galil AR in 5.56mm. Minor changes have been incorporated and the folding stock is lengthened. A bipod is fitted as standard. The LM4 was a semi-automatic version for law enforcement and civilian use before the system came to earth. Then it was modified by an armourer to use lightning elemental mana.
Mana powered, this carbine will generate and fire a lightning strike every 10 seconds for 2 minutes
Recharge mana crystal when empty: 5minutes.
Cooldown between lightning strike: 10 sec
Level 10
Two-handed weapon. Speed normal
Damage 40 + (strength + agility + Constitution).
Lightning Damage: 20 + dependant on elemental weakness
Damage to Monsters: 40 + dependant on elemental weakness
"Damn nice." Louie smiled at Leon and showed him the BB.
"It's nice but why are you doing this?"
Louie was confused, "what do you mean, I'm trying to make a mana firearm like I just did."
Leon picked one of the lightning spikes up. "How does this thing work?"
Louie explained that he must charge the mana stone in the spike and when it's full he must touch the rune at the back of the spike while circulating his mana through his finger and that will trigger the spike to release a lightning strike towards where he is aiming.
Leon looked around and pointed at a target dummy. Louie nodded.
"Is there a recoil?" He wanted to know.
"No."
Leon made sure that he held the spike correctly and aimed at the target before touching his pinky to the rune.
There was a bang as the lightning discharged into the dummy, Leon discharged five quick strikes into the target, destroying its head.
Leon looked from the spike to the firearm.
"Ok, so why a rifle? Have you or one of these spikes?"
Louie knew he had missed something and screwed up again.
He used on the spike.
Lightning spike.
This spike was torn from the body of a lightning golem that spawned in the Huguenot Dungeon. It is an independent weapon system that was incorporated into the armor of the golem
Cooldown between lightning strike: 3 sec
Damage 30 + (strength + agility + Constitution).
Lightning Damage: 60 + dependant on elemental weakness
Damage to Monsters: 50 + dependant on elemental weakness
"Shit." Louie wanted to kick himself.
Leon said nothing as he looked at the spike, “can I have some more of these?"
Louie nodded and waved at the BOT full of the mage parts while studying the two rifles.
He shook his head as he inventoried the two steampunk look-alike weapons and a couple of the mage spikes and nozzles
Fifteen minutes later he sat in the Mayor's office together with Joe and Paul.
"I have been an idiot."
"Again?" Joe laughed. "What did you do now?"
Louie placed the two carbines on the table. And Paul's eyes nearly popped out of his head.
"Bloody hell, did you make this? Can you make us more?"
Louie held up his hand to stop their questions and send them the BB of the weapons.
The Mayor looked perplexed. "I don't see any problem, this is a nice weapon, is there a problem?"
Louie sighed. "I made those, I can make blueprints for them that I can give the blacksmiths, but they won't be able to make them for a long time. I have talked to another blacksmith on something similar and he said he needed to get his blacksmith to level 25 and then he had to learn to be a manasmith and then do engraving or get somebody to do engraving. So it's complicated."
He took a deep breath, "but that's not why I'm an idiot."
He took the four mage parts out. The lightning spike, fire nozzle, ice nozzle, and the earth ringesceptre.
Joe looked at them, "these are the parts that we cut from the mages, you used them to make the rifles?"
"Yes."
"So what is the problem?"
"The problem is that we don't need the rifles."
Joe clicked first as he looked at the parts and then picked up the spike. And used
"It just says, lightning spike, part of golem mage arsenal."
Louie send them each the BB
Lightning spike.
This spike was torn from the body of a lightning golem that spawned in the Huguenot Dungeon. It is an independent weapon system that was incorporated into the armor of the golem.
Cooldown between lightning strike: 3 sec
Damage 30 + (strength + agility + Constitution).
Lightning Damage: 60 + dependant on elemental weakness
Damage to Monsters: 50 + dependant on elemental weakness
"Damn." Paul shook his head. "None of us thought to check the parts."
"Leon showed me how stupid I have been. I have been thinking of a way to arm the guards with rifles and pistols when the weapons were there all along, and have you guys noticed the difference between the BBs?"
"Yea, when you used the spike to make the rifle it lost some power."
"Precisely Paul, but that's not the biggest difference. The spike has no limit to its strikes and the cooldown is much less, and the manastone are removable."
"It works like a magazine, if the spike runs out of mana, leave it to recharge or replace the stone with a new one."
"Damn, and there are always manastone caches in the Dungeon."
"Exactly, you can even buy them from the vendor, I got about twenty of each mage spike at the tower, and as far as I know every team that goes into the Dungeon harvest them from the golems. So I would suggest that you buy them all or send people to harvest them to arm your guards. They are the perfect weapon, you don't need to be able to cast ice magic to use the ice nozzle or lightning to use the lightning spike."
"We have bought all the spikes and mage parts from the Delvers. It's in our armory. I can't believe that these are really more powerful than the rifles." The mayor handled the ice nozzle as if it would bite him.
"Yes, don't worry it won't start shooting ice spears. You have to make sure that the mana stone is full then you channel mana through your finger while touching the trigger rune there." He pointed at the rune.
Paul grabbed the other weapons and stood up. "Let's go test them out on the archery range."
Everybody agreed and there were a couple of excited whispers as the guards saw the carbines as they passed in the hallway. Word spread and they had quite a following when they reached the barrack range.
Initially, everybody wanted to fire the carbine but pretty soon they were all clamoring to try the wands, as one guard started calling them.
It turned out that the carbines had more range and their projectiles were about twice as fast as the wands so Paul gave it to the two guards who had the most levels in to act as snipers.
Louie took Joe to one side. "Well the cat is out of the bag, but I want you to keep it tucked away. It's good that people will look more to the spikes for weapons, so try not to wave it around."
Joe agreed. "You say that you got it from the Dungeon Boss?"
"Yes, I think it's because it was a first clear, well I hope so."
"Your are higher than my , can you send me the stats?"
Engraved Desert Eagle (Scalable) This Desert Eagle is engraved with mana channels and is a semi-automatic pistol known for chambering the .50 mana infused cartridge. The largest centerfire cartridge of any magazine-fed, self-loading pistol.
Damage 100 + strength + agility + constitution
Steady hands + 50
Knockback + 10
Critical hit chance + 60%
Two upgrades are possible with the ability ‘Armourer’
"Shit Louie."
"Precisely."
He saw Paul coming towards them.
"Paul, I will send somebody over to deliver the ones I got in the tower. You guys can keep the rifles."
Paul thanked him and they went back to practicing with the wands.
That evening after the funeral everybody made sure they had everything they needed. Louie went as far as to order five big bowls, enough to feed twenty people easily, of stew and placed it in his bracelet, luckily they all stacked in 1sq.
Louie checked his status and noticed that his spell Improvise has reached its first tier.
Tier advancement
This tier grants 5% less mana usage in casting this spell.
This tier grants the user 10% in the Creation and Control of items, +10% in the durability of items created.
'Hmm, so there is a 10% chance that the weapon would look the way I want it to look. Nice'
They all went to bed early, not knowing when next they would have the luxury of a nice bed.

Yuu- The Next God Of War
In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet powerful Gods seal the devil clan in order to keep the world in balance. The Gods became weak over time from fighting demons and keeping the seal shut. So they created a Tournament called 'The Tournament Of Gods,' where angels battle each other out in order to become a God. However, the tournament is no simple thing, and adversaries of terrifying strength stand in your way, every time you faced an opponent. After hearing that, do you think the main character will triumph over all odds, or suffer an ignominious defeat?
8 110Journey of a Mage
Mantira, the world that never stands still and where the God's word is law. Milleniums have passed and every race living on Mantira have at one point broken this law and strode out into the unknown and either discovered things beyond their wildest dreams or faltered under the weight of heaven's decree. Even so, few dared to mess with the taboo which was the void. For no-one; even the God's, had come back from looking unto the void and learning the secrets that lay within. Except for one. Who's blind devotion to learning the secrets of the void, drew him farther and farther down the wheel of destiny and onto a path that would change the course of history. But unlike the events that were to ensue, the whole thing started with a small, unnoticeable grey cylinder.
8 182Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.
8 197The Never-Ending Search for Amusement
For as long as I can remember, there was nothing. I didn't mind mind, because it was all I had ever nothing. There was just me, surrounded by a dark void, thinking. Before time existed, there was a being. It had no body, but was alive. When the Universe exploded into existence, it realised that it could move the individual atoms to create and destroy entore galaxies. This is the story of a god. Or When god gets bored, he creates deities to amuse him. He makes a planet and fills it with life, including people, and give them a challenge. The deities have 10000 years to make the people as advanced as possible, or they die. Oh, and there's magic.
8 200Here She Goes (Nishinoya x Reader)
A new second year at Karasuno?
