《Seekers Quest (A Post Apocalypse LITRPG)》Chapter 25 Duel

Louie shook his head as he went through the loot and notifications of the basement fight while drinking his coffee.

He himself had killed three bunnies.

Gaea really wanted that infernal spawn point gone. Now I have this mandatory quest. Everybody seems happy with their gains. Each member of the party got 25G coins total. Hmm, I wonder if BOB got a share?

Abominabunny Level 11 x 3 20G coin each party member

1x Portal stone piece 1/15

Book of summoning

5x Human skulls

5x Mana stones

1x Alchemist set

1x Cauldron

1x Satchel of herbs

Louie took the Dagger and portal stone and placed them in front of him on the table. He grimaced at the energy emanating from the bone Dagger.

Damn, it's got the same dirty feeling as the ritual, but that's to be expected.

Dagger of Slaying Any experience gained from using this bone dagger will be transferred to the infernal from whose bone it was carved. If sufficient experience is gathered, infernal might deem you worthy of answering your summoning.

Level 6

One-handed. Speed 8

Damage 60

Infernal corruption: 50

+300% pain, while bleeding from wounds by Dagger.

+100% bleeding

Wow, ok, so this is part of the demon or infernal. If I find somebody with a tracking skill, they might use this to find the Infernal.

He wrapped the Dagger in a scarf made of silk that he got from the Rolls-Royce and placed it back in his inventory. Louie had found that pure silk has a dampening effect on any aura, so he was glad for the silk scarf.

Kallie raised a tired head from the table to look at the coffee machine. "Didn't you give that to Mr Fourie?"

Louie just nodded. "Yip, I had another."

Kallie shook his head as he looked at the softly glowing portal stone.

"What is that?"

"That my young friend is a piece of a portal stone. I would guess that if you gather all the pieces, then it would open a portal."

Kallie's team, who had been waiting for them in the kitchen, perked up at the news.

Kallie looked with suspicion at the stone. "Does it say where the portal goes?"

Louie shook his head.

Surprisingly it was Dorf that spoke up. "Global event."

They all nearly snapped their necks, looking at him.

"What?" Louie asked. Dorf just looked at the stone. Louie noticed that his eyes were white, showing no irises. When Kallie wanted to say something, Louie stopped him and spoke to Dorf.

"Can we know more about the Global event?"

"This was not to happen for the next year, but the first piece was found, gather all fifteen pieces to open a portal to one of the connected worlds, reconnect with missing loved ones and explore new frontiers."

Suddenly Dorf collapsed, and his friends helped him up.

"What the hell?" Kallie asked as he stood behind Dorf, who held his head.

Louie held up his hand, and people quieted down.

"I think that was Gaea hat just send us a message. Read your first Gaea notice."

8. after two rotations of this earth around this sun, there will be gates connected between these biomes to facilitate travel.

9. after seven rotations of this earth around this sun, gateways between other systems will be opened for travel

"I think it has to do with No 8 because Dorf said it was to happen in two years."

Kallie sat down and sighed in relief.

"Thank God, for a moment, I thought it was for a portal to the infernal realm. So we got two years to gather these portal stones?"

One of the other guys spoke up.

"Well, if I understand correctly, we should have had a year to prepare and build our levels so that we could be high enough level to go search for the pieces, then we were supposed to have a year to gather all these pieces and build the portal."

"Ok, so not something that we need to go running off to search immediately."

Kallie leaned over and touched Dorf on the arm. "You ok there, big guy?"

He looked at Kallie. "Head hurt, did I pass out again?"

Kallie patted his arm. "Yip, but it's ok, we got you, just lay back and relax."

He placed his head back on the table.

Louie spoke softly to Kallie. "I assume this happened before?"

He nodded.

"I would watch him carefully. That might become something like an Oracle class."

They agreed, and everybody sat back and relaxed as Loo inventoried the stone.

Louie leaned back and picked up his coffee cup as he started going through his loot again.

Kallie had shared the Rabbidevil loot report with Louie and offered everything except the coin to him for thanks for riding the basement of the infernal aura.

Rabbidevil Loot 5G coin each party member

1x Demon skin

5x Black pill (induce berserk)

10x Glass balls filled with a putrid smoke

5x Dried blood cake (bait)

2x Demon mandibles

Kallie removed the capstone. It looked like a small stone pyramid. "How do I use this?"

Louie shook his head. "I don't know, but capstones were usually the last stone placed on a pyramid or building when it was built. So I think you most probably have to place it on the highest spot on the roof of the school, may i see that?"

Kallie handed Louie the capstone and stopped to read a BB that appeared before him.

"I just got a BB asking if I want to transfer the capstone to you."

"Nice, that may become handy to know. Best keep it safe and use it as soon as possible."

"Uggh, I haven't got the energy to do that today. I will go up there tomorrow."

Louie inventoried all his possessions.

"Well, on that note, we must be going, Kallie. You and Mzisi made a nice sum of Gold coins today. I would suggest that you visit or send a message to Joe or Sher in Starter town and place an order from the vendor with the next Delve team. Other than that, I think it's time we are off. I don't want to be out after dark again."

Louie handed Kallie another six OCDs to hand out to other leaders that he trust if he meets any.

They all groaned as they got up and started moving in the direction of the school entrance. DD met them at the door, and after telling him about the basement, they agreed to start a regular exchange of ideas between them, the Fort and later Starter town.

It was just after 18:00 when they left the school with promises of sending a team from the Fort to help clear the medical college and collect the books.

Louie made a quick stop at the destroyed SportsCenter next to the school and saw that the bathrooms were still mostly intact.

They gave the centre's pool a wide berth because it seemed something had made the pool its home, and they didn't have time to deal with it now.

He did send a quick message to Kallie to ask for somebody to keep an eye out and learn more about the monster.

Louie filled the toilet and shower cubicles with stone and inventoried the blocks having an idea to use it at the Fort.

The trek back to the Fort was uneventful, with only one group of rats attacking them as they went past the mall next to the N1.

The Fort was a hive of activity as the other teams were back hours ago and had found just under two hundred survivors in the ruins. Johan and Bi were ecstatic when Louie told them about the survivors at the Drosdy school.

The sun had just set when Louie cornered the busy Johan and Bianca and asked if he could have a moment of their time. They went up to the bachelor flat at the top of the spire and took a seat around the small breakfast table where Louie laid out his plan.

"I like the way that you kept your people together and alive. I want to know what are your plans for the future?"

Louie removed one of the Dungeon coffee machines from his inventory and, switching it on, indicated that they could pour themselves a cup.

Johan practically fell over himself to be the first to fill his mug.

"We don't know. Everything we had was lost. We were fortunate that the whole family was in one place when the pulse struck, and we pulled through together. We got to start over somewhere, but from what I see and what I understand, there is no place safer than here at the moment."

"True, this Fort is big enough for all you people. I can expand the walls to the right, and behind the Fort, so there is ground for garden plots. This wall extension will expand the interior space three times if you are willing to stay here and run this Fort for me. There are just two rules. Everybody fights, even the crafters, teach them to fight if need be, and the leaders lead by example. Which, I don't think you will have any problem with."

They looked happy as they agreed to take the position on one condition and leave the coffee machine for them. He agreed.

"What do I do if they don't want to conform to the rules?"

"This is not the old world. If they don't want to play with the other kids, they can play by themselves. In fact, I demand that they go play by themselves. Do you remember the guy at the gate?"

They nodded.

"That's Councilor, and I still don't know his name. He came here demanding rights that he had before the pulse. I threw him out of the gate. Sally felt sorry for him so I gave him a weapon and told him to survive the night outside alone, and I will allow him back."

"Surprisingly, He survived and is currently serving with one of the squads. Ask the young medics about the doctors and what happens when people try to fuck me over."

They looked at each other and nodded. "We will run this outpost for you."

"Nice, thank you, I will do some modifications tonight, and then I will raise the other walls tomorrow before we head back to Starter town."

"You both have the Cook classes?"

"Yes, let us share it with you."

Braaimaster This is a cook who takes up contracts to hunt beasts. They know enough about culinary arts to know which part of the animal to use for barbeques and how to keep the meat fresh for long, but otherwise, they are motivated more by the hunt than the food—Master of the firepit and outdoor cooking.

40sq coolbox, stack up to 20. The meat inside will last 50 times longer. Other perishables will last 10times longer. Skill

Firestarter: Can light a fire no matter how wet the wood.

Braaispice: Turn salt and pepper into the best braai spice around. Spell:

Light for me: Ignite a fire for cooking

Louie read the class descriptions. "The Braaimaster Class is a doozy."

Johan smiled. "My class gives me the ability to light fires, but it uses a lot of mana, so I could only use it once or twice during the march. Bianca got a really good one with the ability to create weapons."

Bush Cook A person who like living in the wild and are used to hunting dangerous beasts to feed people they care for. The thought of stepping up to danger so their loved ones can live drives their hunts. Their skill in turning any implement into a kitchen utensil, together with the ability to store provisions under temporal lock, turns them into Masters of the outdoor kitchen.

50sq Crono lock pantry will stack 10 each Skill

Morph for all Season(ing)s:

You can change the shape of the metallic kitchen implement and deal damage accordingly. e.g. big chef knife = a sword, tenderizer or rolling pin= mace, to any non-complex form of a similar size with a slight increase in weight. It can also change into a ranged weapon such as a bow or crossbow, but it does not provide ammunition.

"Nice, is that how I saw the glowing weapons?" Bianca nodded.

"Ok, this gives you a form of cook's pantry where time is suspended. I will transfer all the meat that I got as loot from last night's firestorm. Together with your hunting and the planting, you should be ok. You all know about the dungeon at starter town? Well, my tablet indicates that there is another vendor down to the south. We figured that there is a Dungeon at the brewery that way. But I won't be going there."

Louie, send them a transfer request and gave them all the meat together with the 11 horned bunnies.

"What's this?" Johan wanted to know when he saw the giant bunnies.

"That my friend ar horned bunnies, they have an infestation of them at the school that they are farming, I would suggest that you guys start a farm up in one of the walled areas that I'm going to make tomorrow and start trading vegetables for meat with them."

Louie gave them each a couple of OCD and a pic of DD and Kallie together with one of Joe and Sher and showed them how to bond with the OCD.

"Just concentrate on the person and send him a message. If you guys can get a regular time set when you can give a report of stuff that you might need that you can trade or produce, you got a lot of crafters here. I'm sure you guys can work something out."

"Here, take these also. I will place the workshop tools in a room under the Fort. You guys can create all your workshops down there and then all your farming and living quarters up above ground."

Louie handed them the same kits he gave Mr Fourie at the school together with all the other crafting kits he bought.

"I came here looking for specific stuff. Like all the medical books I can get. The lack of healers is troubling. I didn't find it, but Kallie knows a place. He said there is a nursing college here, but they will need some help to clear it, and I told him that I would ask you to send some of your guys since you are all higher level than Kallie's school kids, they can help your guys. Think of it as building relations with your neighbours."

Johan nodded. "Yea, we were lucky that Amelia unlocked that healer class. It is a strange class, but it does the healing, so we were glad. I will talk to Hannie and ask him to put a team together. It's a nursing college, you say? That's practically a hospital, my people survived for a week in a hospital, so I'm sure we will handle what may come."

He knocked on the wooden spoon he took from his inventory. "Touch wood."

They talked for a while and then went down to the courtyard.

They left to check on the helpers at the braai. Louie went to the back wall where he had made the bathrooms and created a gate through the wall.

BOB used the opportunity to disappear into the trees behind the Fort.

Louie shook his head and reached down into the earth and pulled stone up created a tower rising above the wall where he created two cisterns at the top.

He then went back inside and sealed the gate and moulded stairs down into the ground till he was below the waterline.

There he created a giant moca pot like the ones meant for brewing coffee but this one is meant for boiling water instead of coffee.

He made the boiler chamber, where he had embedded into the floor two mana burner plates locked to a high setting, just below the waterline, fed through a simple valve.

The funnel pipe in the centre collum ran up inside the wall to the serving chamber, which is the cisterns on top of the water tower.

Louie went up to the bathroom area he had shaped when he made the Fort and making sure it was unoccupied, he removed the stone blocks with the toilets and showers from the sports club and placed them in the two rooms he had prepared for their use.

For the male side, he included a big Japanese floor style toilet for Brandon. He then opened the walls where the toilet and shower pipes were connected to the outside. He used his engraving pen to cut the damaged copper pipes and connected them to stone pipes running up the wall to the cisterns.

He connected all the stone pipes that feed the showers and a couple of baths he made for the woman's side. He blocked the toilet outlets that was connected to the now devastated sewer system, each bathroom would have a cleaning sculpture.

Everything took him about two hours to make and another hour to create the basement workshops under the Fort.

He nearly forgot to make adequate air ventilation ducts for the enclosed spaces.

It was late but dinner was still being served when he exited the door to the workshops, so he grabbed a bowl of horned Rabit stew and listened in on the stories being told by the hunters.

Hannie had been ecstatic to see the horned rabbits' bodies and was listening to what the squad that went to the school had to say.

After dinner, Loo asked Johan to help him quick as he created a stairway from his room up to the roof of the spire. He then removed the Lightstone and installed the capstone in its place. He created a stone framework to go over the capstone on which he then placed the Lightstone.

Immediately he received a BB asking if he wanted to turn the building into an outpost.

Clicking yes, he looked through the settings, and since the outpost was technically a military facility, he selected Johan as the commander.

As Johan set his hand on the capstone, a ripple ran through the Fort. There were some shouts of surprise and shock as there were a couple of changes that the system made to the building.

They looked at each other and went down to the room, looking for any changes and seeing nothing.

They took the stairs to the bottom of the tower.

At the bottom of the stairs, they found a small room leading into the hollow spire.

There was a pedestal in the middle of that room, and on top of that was what looked like a tablet interface. He touched the screen, and it lit up with a blueprint of the Fort.

Louie saw an options tab and immediately searched through the options. He found a 3D version of the blueprint.

Activating it, there appeared a 3D version of the Fort above the screen of the pedestal. Studying the image they saw the changes the system had made to the Fort.

The moca pot style water heating system he had made has been redesigned and are now more streamlined. Instead of a cobbled-together boiler room, the Boiler was now covered in runes from which he only recognized one, the rune for heat.

The big surprise was the bathrooms that now had a rune in each cubicle instead of one sculpture for each room. He took a snapshot of the rune and placed it in his journal.

Each cave-like room that he had made yesterday was now a full Batchelor flat or twin bedroom with an open plan kitchen living room between each bedroom.

Each flat also had a working Lightstone with a cover and sinks with flowing water. The stone bunks had turned into stone beds with soft mattresses.

Everything was just a bit smoother, a bit better.

There was even a room fitted out for Brandon with what looked like a stall with a counter-style bed where he could rest his upper body. The only thing unchanged was the barracks around the tower.

He saw an option for something like electricity but running off a big mana crystal, but it was greyed out.

Hopefully, it will be available in the future.

Reading through the options, he saw that the outpost could only generate settlement points by manually improving or expanding the Fort, and the SP could only be used for repairs.

It had 10000 SP. Johan took over at the pedestal after Louie told him that he would generate points tomorrow by expanding the wall.

"Can you contact Kallie and explained what happened here? Also, talk to your kids. Somebody might know more about city building games, ask Kallie to talk between themselves and find somebody that might know about this stuff before we bugger the whole thing up."

Johan agreed, and as they left the room, the door closed, and they noticed no doorknob but it easily opened when they touched the door.

It was just after 10:00 p.m., but with his , he can see as good as during the day.

Louie walked up the stairs next to the gate, and thinking for a while, he decided to make a bartisan at both sides of the gate and fitted one of the mana crossbows that they took from the dungeon.

Just after he fitted the crossbow, he received a BB.

Do you want to include this Defense into the outpost blueprint?

Y/N

Be warned once this item is added to the outpost blueprints. It would not be able to be removed without spending Settlement Points.

"Hmm, why not?"

Louie clicked Y, and a ripple flowed through the bartisan, and the crossbow changed.

"Wow, is that a Scorpio?"

Loo swung around. "Corporal Koen, I didn't see you there." Loo nodded. "Jip, it turned into a Scorpio."

Louie indicated he should walk with him.

"How has your day been? Any of the new survivors look like trouble? On that note, how did the counsellor do?"

Leon looked over the Fort. "He did good, and I think he just needed a kick in the ass, Sir." He chuckled.

"We had one character. It looks like he was the co-owner of the Shell Garage here. When he came in with the second squad, he tried to claim that the Fort was his since he was part owner of the property."

Louie shook his head.

"Tell me about him," Louie told him to keep talking while he builds another bartisan and fit a crossbow to the right-hand corner of the Fort.

Louie shook his head as he heard that the Garage owner was rude and obnoxious. "I will sort him out later. It looks like we will have another night watch on the bridge.

They went around the Fort, and Louie placed crossbows on the front and right-hand corners leaving the rest for tomorrow when he extends the walls.

Leon came to attention. "Sir?"

"Damn, Corporal, I told you not to call me Sir, I'm not in the military anymore."

Leon just shrugged.

"I would like to request a spot in your caravan, I'm not a Corporal even though you call me one, so I would like to go with you when you leave. I know in Starter Town you said that you want the people to have a trade also, I don't have a trade or a class, but I have knowledge from before the pulse that might come in handy. My parents had a Spar store, and I worked there for as long as I could remember. For the last couple of years, I worked in the office doing the books and ordering stocks. So I think if I wanted, then I could become a trader."

"Why haven't you unlock a class yet? I talked to the Sargeant earlier, and he said that most of the soldiers had unlocked some spear or soldier related class now." Louie raised a questioning eyebrow.

Leon looked uncomfortable.

He sighed. "I don't want to be just another soldier. I did unlock spear mastery, but I want more."

Louie thought for a moment. "Ok, how do you feel about spiders?"

Louie smiled as he told Leon about his vision.

"I don't hate or fear them; they are just spiders."

Louie shook his hand while giving him a spider egg, "Find Jackson Pollok and the girl Debbie, I don't know her surname, but she is usually with Jackson, also get Mainey Fish and meet me in my room in the tower."

Louie watched Leon walk away and decided to see if he could find BOB.

He turned around and saw BOB came up the stairs to the battlement.

"Huh? Hi boy, how did you get into the Fort?"

BOB just gave him a 'Are you stupid?' look before taking a stroll around the wall walk like he owns the place.

Shit got to check the blueprint, see if he made a hole somewhere.

As Louie went down the stairs he noticed that nearly everybody was still awake and crowded around the firepits,

They were all talking or just sitting and enjoying the Fort's safety.

There was even a Bard from the LARPers telling stories and singing.

As he walked past the group of friars, he heard them talking of putting up a still to make some mampoer.

"Hey, you! You the fucker that stole my property?"

Louie stopped in his tracks and turned around. At one of the benches were an older man build like a brick shithouse.

Damn are all the boere around here build like they wrestle cattle for a living?

"Your property? Do I know you?"

The guy stepped away from the table and screamed at Loo.

"You are a fucking thief, this property belongs to me, and I claim this building as it's on my property." He froze, and his eyes went from side to side as he read something.

A BB appeared in front of Loo.

If you decline the challenge, then you will forfeit the property.

As the challenged party, you can set the terms and rewards.

Everybody scampered away as a large red ring appeared on the ground around them with a large red dot under each of them.

"Yes! I'm going to gut you like a fish!" The man shouted.

Louie looked at the laughing man as he took a big bowie knife out of his inventory and wanted to rush Louie, but he couldn't move from the red dot.

"You just challenged me for ownership of the Fort? What level are you? Do you even know how to fight? Do you even know anything about the system?"

Louie looked over at Corporal Koen. "Where did you guys find this guy?"

One of the other Corporals stood up.

"We found him barricaded in a mini-mall with two women. He claimed that the mall belonged to him and the woman were his fiance and her sister."

He indicated two women that were sitting at the table behind the man. They both looked scared.

"Why the fuck can't I move?" The man shouted.

Louie looked at him.

"You can't move because I haven't accepted your challenge yet, you see, because you challenged me, I can now set the rules and rewards."

Louie's voice turned cold, and the people backed away from the fighting circle.

"This is to the death, and if you win, then you get the Fort. If I win, then I get everything you own."

Louie pressed Y, and the circles under them disappeared.

The man roared, he suddenly glowed yellow and he rushed Louie.

Everyting slowed down as Louie waited for him.

Damn, he is fast, must be a skill he is using.

He was holding the knife low with the cutting edge up, hoping to stab Louie in the stomach and force the blade up in his chest cavity.

Louie waited till the last moment and took a step to the right while at the same time equipped his weapons.

In his left hand, he held his fire ninjato, and in his right, he had one of the lightning mage spikes. He pivoted on his left foot and, with a savage crunch, drove the spike into the back of the man's head, triggering the lightning spike effect.

He was dead before he hit the ground.

Louie looked at the body as the red ring disappeared.

Suddenly his voice filled the Fort courtyard, not loud, just everywhere.

"So fucking disappointing."

He looked at the shocked people staring at him. They couldn't believe that happened so fast. Frost dripped off his words.

"Anybody else wants to take what belongs to me?"

Nobody moved. It looked like they were scarcely breathing.

"Good" suddenly, the man's body disappeared, and Loo's vision was filled with notifications. He brushed it all away.

Louie turned around and, unequipping his weapons as he left to go look at the blueprints.

He noticed BOB standing in a nearby shadow, glaring at the people as if daring them to step forward and say something.

He walked past BOB and gave him a scratch under his chin which was nearly level with his shoulder.

Damn, he is getting big. "Good boy."

Looking at the blueprints, Louie was baffled because there were no damaged sections in the wall, and he knew for a fact that he had not heard the gate or the wicket gate open after they came back from the school.

Louie shook his head and thought of it as just one of those things new things strange to the system.

He noticed that the SP of the outpost has gone up by 5000 because he had made five bartisans and fitted the crossbows, which turned into Scorpio'.

Suddenly Louie felt very tired. The world as we know it has ended, millions if not billions of people have died, and people are still trying to kill and rob other people, just thinking of themselves.

'I hate fuckers like that.'

There was a cough behind him at the door.

As he turned around, he saw Corporal Koen with the caravan hopefuls.

Louie shook himself. "Ok, let's go up to my room."

They all took a seat around the table while Louie sat in one of the comfy Dungeon chairs.

BOB laid down on his poof next to the bed.

Louie first turned to Mainey, "I know you are indentured to Starter town, but I want to know if you are willing to come with the caravan?"

He held up his hand and stopped her as she was about to say something.

"Just think about it. True, we will be travelling a lot and we will be fighting, but you won't be stuck in one town the whole time, and we will need a healer that understands medicine. Just think about it tonight and let me know tomorrow morning, I can talk to Joe and get you transferred to the caravan."

She nodded as she stood up and left the room.

Louie indicated that they could get themselves some coffee.

"So you three want to join my caravan? Jackson, Debbie, have you thought about your loot as I asked you?"

Jackson stood up, but Louie told him to sit down.

"You are not in school anymore. Just speak out."

"Well, Sir." Louie groaned.

"We have thought about it, and you said that we must think outside the box."

He brought up his loot report, shared it with everybody, and placed the loot on the table.

WereRat loot 10Copper pieces

1 Tattered tunic

1 Vail of WereRats drool.

One pouch of catnip (bait for trap)

2 Cat incisors

Pair of bladed Knuckle Dusters (common)

"Killing Wererats give more exp than the ordinary rat, I know its minimal but also more coin, more materials, and it also gives a weapon, a crappy weapon but still a weapon. So it's better to hunt wererats than ordinary rats."

Jackson looked nervously at Debbie.

"Sir, you wanted thinking outside the box. We proposed using wererat drool coated darts when we fight monsters next and see what happens. If Rats, then we farm them for exp and mats."

Louie shook his head. "Well, I said to think outside the box. I like your idea, but it's just too dangerous. If the Werecreature escape then it could start a plague"

Leon has been looking at the tunic.

He spread it out and try to close all the tears. "Anybody got some tape or safety pins?"

Louie hands him one of the rolls of ducktape he got from the DIY section in the ok mini-mart.

He taped the tunic together.

Louie gave him a puzzled look. "You see something that we don't?"

"I think so. Sir, can you use that cleaning artefact to clean this up?"

Louie removed the sculpture and gave it a nudge triggering the and the wave rippled through the room, cleaning everything, including the tunic.

Leon gestured for Debbie, who is the slimmest, to stand up and draped the tunic over her head; it covered her to her knees with two slips up to her hips.

He indicated that she should turn around. There was another slip running up the back of the tunic where it ended in a round hole through which they could see her belt.

Leon pointed to the hole.

Louie nodded. "It's for a tail."

Jackson looked at the loot, catnip, tattered tunic for a person with a tail, cat incisors, he spoke up excitedly.

"Khajit or Catfolk."

Leon perked up. "Felinians, ow my gods."

He suddenly blushed. Louie gave them an inquiring look.

Debbie just shook her head. "Boys and their fantasies about Catwoman. Its feline races from games." She told Louie as she removed the tunic.

She rubbed the material between her fingers. "This is nice. Can I keep this? I might be able to fix it."

Jackson nodded, and Louie took a spool of spider silk together with a tailor starter kit and handed it to her.

"If you fix it, bring it to me, and I will show you something unique."

He turned to Leon. "Can you go call Johan or Bianca quick? I think they are still awake at the fire. If not, then it's ok. I will catch them up tomorrow."

They sat around and drank coffee till Leon came back, followed by Johan and Bianca, who each grabbed a barstool from their inventory and a cup of coffee.

Louie filled them in on where they got the loot.

He turned to Jackson. "So Jackson, what had you realized about the loot?"

He stood up and moved some stuff around. "The Wererats has some enemies, and there is another race out there somewhere. They are either a Werecat or a Catfolk race."

Johan looked grim. "I will notify Hannie and also send a message to Kallie."

Louie nodded before he spoke up. "I think it will be a Werecat race because Gaea said she would only open gateways between us and other systems after 7years. So I think that this feline race evolved or mutated here like the mutated Ratkins I fought or these Wererats."

Johan and Bianca stood up to leave. "What do you recommend if they encounter the cats?"

"Wait till they attack first. They might be friendly."

Johan nodded. "I will tell them, don't attack first but be ready to defend themselves."

He filled his cup again and Bianca elbowed him in the ribs."Aw yeah, Christian heard of your idea of the caravan, and he wants to join you. He will seek you out tomorrow morning. Good night, everybody."

Louie told Jackson and Debbie that they could join, but they must keep on practising to build up their weapons proficiency and mental practices.

He also gave each of them a spider egg and told them how to hatch it.

Together with Leon, they bid him good night and left the tower for the barracks.

Louie wanted to shower but saw many people clustered around the now functional bathrooms, so he settled for a quick refresh from his artefact.

He snapped a quick message to Joe and Sher, telling them about their findings and that they will be returning tomorrow.

He made sure that his tent storage space was empty before he removed the Rolls Royse from his inventory and took all the luggage out of the car before placing it back and then the Lux Liner that he took when he cleared that motor pileup.

He also cleared the storage compartment of the bus and its trailer before placing it back.

Slowly sorrow set in as he sorted through the clothes, removing any toiletries while thinking of the people whose clothes he was sifting through.

He felt like a ghoul as he rifled through the luggage, but he was sure that many people only had the clothes they had on their backs when they fled and will be glad for a change of clothes.

After he was done he packed everything back in the luggage and back in his inventory.

'I must get rid of all this stuff. My inventory is getting full. Luckily we are going home tomorrow.'

He scratched BOB's head as he laid down on the bed.

Louie felt like he had just closed his eyes as somebody's presence in the room woke him.

His eyes snapped open as he rolled off the right-hand side of the bed and equipping his armour together with his Ninjato.

'What the fuck? Why didn't BOB warn me?'

He looked over at BOB that was lying on his poof with his head on the bed, giving him a look of, 'what's wrong with you?'

He looked back at the two women that were standing inside the room at the door.

Louie recognised them. They were with the man he had killed in the duel, his fiance and her sister.

'Did they come to seek revenge? And what's with you, why didn't you warn me, BOB?'

They suddenly kneeled on the floor. "How may we serve you, Master?"
