POV Teaghan

She decided that she wanted to explore each of the tunnels and explore and discover what is at the end of the tunnels. But each and every tunnel had to be discovered and made part of her domain individually. Teaghan decided that the best way was to eliminate and work each tunnel until they were explored and part of her domain, just like the cave system, even though she wasn’t finished exploring the area.

She decided to work and start on the tunnel on the ceiling. Teaghan decided on a different way of exploring the tunnel instead of using the “sightsee” ability. She was going to try to shape her mana in a way that she was still able to claim it as part of her domain, but only the tunnel portion and not the area around the tunnels.

Teaghan moulded her mana into a jelly-like tentacle and slowly pushed her mana through the tunnel. This actually worked, and slowly but surely, she could absorb the tunnel section into her domain.

This method cost her a lot of mana, but she quickly regained the mana due to the mana leyline.

Adding the tunnel to her domain took a very long time, as this method was very slow. It strained her to go farther as she extended her mana further and further away from her core. It was also slow going as she stopped every couple of meters to add natural barriers to the tunnel.

Teaghan continued on adding portions of the tunnel to her domain one at a time. Over a period of a couple of days of adding parts of the tunnel into her domain, she finally reached a room. The cave room was partially underwater and had sandy banks and sand islands throughout the room. She watched the room and saw how the sandy areas slowly shift, and when she took a closer look, she saw aquatic animals displace and create sand.

Teaghan took her mana tentacle and slowly covered the room until it was part of her domain. When she did that, blue screens for the creatures in the sandy cave popped up.

Antlions

This semi-aquatic insect species is shaped like arrowheads with long pincers at their wider end. Antlions burrow backwards into small pits in the sand and wait for other insects to pass before they strike. This species will then suck the blood from its prey.

Sea Pen

This aquatic species, similar to coral, is named for the eight stinging tentacles they use to capture plankton to eat. This species consists of a sac-like body cavity enclosed by a mouth and surrounded by a ring of tentacles.

Parrot Fish

This species of fish is elongated, blunt-headed and deep-bodied and is brightly coloured. They have large scales and a birdlike beak. Its beak contains fused teeth of the jaws. This species of fish grind their food and bits of coral with its teeth which, when expelled, creates sand.

Sand Crab

This medium-sized species of crab is camouflaged by its grey shell in the sand. This crab keeps its balance in the sand with its heavily armoured, curved body and pointy legs. The crab burrows quickly and often.

Spindle Sea Star

This species of sea star, despite its name, has adapted to live in freshwater. This species has seven long legs that allow it to move and grab prey. The sea star has a sharp beak that it will use to defend itself.

After Teaghan discovered this new room, she decided to put the exploration of these areas on the back burner and watch the goings-on in her dungeon. But just as she started to watch the dungeon's goings-on, Teaghan realized that she forgot to put her dungeon’s name on the entrance.

It was the perfect time to remedy this mistake, as there was no person in her dungeon. Teaghan decided to carve the name in the font type that she preferred when she was human, glyphic font. She slowly etched the words “Dungeon of the Lost” into the surface, right into the curve of the arch.

POV Porta Village Council

All the village and group elders, the mayor, the guild’s representative, and guild leaders sat in the town hall. They were ready to get the meeting started.

Total, 10 people were sitting in a large room, at a circular table. The mayor, Aran Hildisson, stood up and called the table to attention.

“I would like to start the first official meeting of the dungeon town Porta to the dungeon. Let’s get the attendance for the books, then we can start the meeting,” said mayor Hildisson as he started off the attendance list. After the attendance was completed, the meeting was officially started.

“First, let’s start with the big issue: the dungeon.”

“Ughh, don’t get me started on that shit show,” groaned the adventurer guild master Ogi. “That dungeon is just plain troublesome. For one thing, it brings up a lot of mana, more than I have ever felt in young dungeons. The dungeon spirit decides to change it’s entrance, not just clean it up, but full-on decorate it. And I don’t know if any of you know about this yet, but last night it decided to name itself the “Dungeon of the Lost”. But that’s not the most troublesome thing. The dungeon has attracted the archmage Orius and has managed to interest him enough for him to stay here.”

“So that’s who the person with a huge amount of mana was. I was wondering what someone like him was doing here,” replied elder Neda.

“Okay next up on the list is the expansion of the town. Recently, a merchant’s guild caravan has come into town to scout out the dungeon. The docks and the part of the floating village are being expanded. A protective barrier around town has been erected, and new building areas have been designed,” said Hildisson. “Report on everything that has been done so far.”

“Well, we have expanded the docks to take in bigger and more ships. Also, we have expanded and moved the floating homes a little farther away from the docks,” replied Chiura, as she was responsible for coordinating the floating homes and the docks, but that might change when things get busier.

“All of the new buildings and sections within the town have been slowly expanding. But everything is going okay so far,” responded a representative of the carpenters guild.

“The adventurer’s guild has also had an increase in adventurers due to the dungeon. There has also been an increase of requests completed and an increase of requests that also span outside of the town,” responded guild master Ogi. “But we may have problems with some overpowered people coming because if the archmage is staying here, then there are probably going to be powerful people coming here. The guild will try to keep the collateral damage limited,” sighed the guild master as she rubbed her nose with her fingers.

“We will have to increase the guard due to the large increase of new people, as well as an official jail,” said the elder Fernando as he grumbled about all of the changes.

“Well, I know that we are swamped due to everything that has happened, so I call this meeting to an end,” called out mayor Hildisson.
