《The Life of a Dungeon》Chapter 21

To prepare for what could happen in the future and the future adventurers, Teaghan decided to census all the changes in her dungeon. She will go floor by floor, looking at everything, from changes to the existing floors to new evolutions or creations that came into being. There were also new species attracted and lured into the dungeon by the increase of mana that the leyline produces.
Teaghan decided to start on the first floor and work her way down. The very first thing that she encountered was an evolution of a bomba tree. Next, she saw a couple different types of rabbits of various sizes. She saw new and changed types of hydnora, white bat flower, foxfire fungus, red foxes and sharp-shinned hawks, including some evolutions of this floor’s monsters.
Teaghan also noticed some of the minerals and materials had been affected by the surge of mana and the creation of the mana leyline.
She decided instead of individually looking at each creature to see if it was different and too see what had appeared or been attracted to the mana and was added to her dungeon, she would just pull up all of the blue screens that she dismissed earlier that were related to the first floor.
Bunnicula
A type of rabbit monster that consumes blood to survive. Like a vampire, this rabbit has an insatiable need to consume blood. It has two extremely sharp fangs and will track, hunt, and ambush its prey. It also has an uncanny ability to target major arteries and veins.
General Rabbit
A type of rabbit that can gain control of four to six rabbits. This rabbit has the ability to direct and coordinate surrounding rabbits to do its bidding.
Chana Rabbit
A species of rabbit that has long hair and is deceptively cute. Like the bunnicula, this creature has fangs. It uses its cute appearance to make its prey unaware that it is dangerous.

Sky Blossom Tree
A tree that grows light purple and blue cherry blossom flowers. The tree that grows these flowers grows more transparent the longer that the tree grows. Allowing the tree to have an ombre look goes from brown bark at the trunk to transparent branches. This gives the impression that the flowers look as if they are growing in the sky.
Rage Plant
A rare and odd-looking plant that causes mental damage. This plant causes people to progressively get angrier around it. It is a root plant that grows mostly underground. It can be used in potions that affect the soul.
Congratulations! Your kobold species has been upgraded. The overall intelligence, wisdom, and ability to use mana have been increased.
Pepper Grass
A type of dry, golden wheat-like plant. This plant produces seeds that would explode into tiny sparks that can cause light burns. But if in large enough quantities, it can be life-threatening.
Earth Fox
A type of fox that has evolved to be able to manipulate earth. They can manipulate small amounts of earth to attack and defend themselves.
Gwaii Hawk
An eagle species said to be the descendants of the eagle of the misty mountains, Gwaihir. This species has inherited the incredible swiftness of Gwaihir.
Lightning Bat Flower
An evolved species of the white flower cluster. This evolved type produces a small electric current in the whiskers that the flower grows.
Mana Phantom Quartz
A type of quartz that is commonly found in topsoil near mountains. But due to being exposed to a huge amount of mana, this quartz will store mana and randomly discharge it.
Teaghan slowly scrolled through the descriptions and read through them carefully. And a few of them were quite surprising. Like the bunnicula, Teaghan thought that that name was hilarious. But these new additions to her dungeon were surprisingly good, and she was happy with the first floor and decided to move onto the second floor.

On the second floor, well before her core was damaged, there were a couple of poisonous plants. But after the damage occurred, the second floor seemed to be teeming with new poisonous and venomous variants and new creations. Teaghan pulled up any descriptions related to any of the changes on this floor and read through them. But what she received surprised her.
Congratulations! You have gained a mini biome effect: Virulent Environment.
You have gained the following plant species:
Devil’s Helmet
Angels Trumpet
Light Bushel
Murkweed
Inkleaf
You have gained the following creatures:
Anchorite Spider
Taki Bee
Calleta Butterfly
Deathstalker
Glass Leaf Mantis
You have gained the following monster:
Spiked White Grappler
Flash Quartz
A type of quartz that gathers mana. Once filed, the quartz will release the mana it has, creating a flash bomb situation.
The third floor had the most changes. It now looked like a tropical forest, and it was very mana dense. This was the floor that the biome effect, mana forest, was added to. Teaghan pulled up and read the descriptions of all the changes.
You have gained the following plant species:
Mana Poisoned Eaholia Pine
Tala Grass
Mana Mineral Flower
Water Snapper Plant
You have gained the following creatures:
Mana Enhanced Sun Coral
Vulpen Stingray
Leaf Lynx
You have gained the following monsters:
Venomous Pine Trap Golem
Mana Enhanced Harvestmen Hive
Teaghan was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the results of the changes on her floor. They would help her protect herself and her dungeon.
The changes to the dungeon part of her dungeon were not the only things that changed in Teaghan’s domain.
When she was trying to survive the waves of mana brought on when she absorbed the clear-bluish crystals, her domain covered a lot more ground, including the two places with a lot of interest.
Teaghan’s domain now covered most of the underground lake and a couple of kilometres of the cave system. Each brought new things to her dungeon and more things to discover.
As Teaghan went to look at the underground lake and the cave system. She felt a small group of people entering her dungeon

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
