‘Now … how to choose my starting monster species.’

Spawn Monsters

Monsters Available: None

Would you like to select your starting creature?

Looking at the blue screen, Teaghan was greatly confused. Wasn’t she supposed to have a choice, or at the very least, have the ability to choose some options. Wait never mind.

Slime

The most basic enemy, weak and formless, with near limitless options to adapt.

Beast

Has countless amounts of selections, any beast can have a chance to be selected if this option is chosen.

Fungus

Fungus is either stationary or moves at a creeping pace, but has options for trickery and toxins if chosen.

Plant

Plants are either stationary or move at a creeping pace, but has options for trickery and traps if chosen.

Goblin

It is said that though goblins are not exactly astute, they do have potential for evolutions that can rival the titans.

Kobold

It is said that the blood of the dragons flow through their veins, though it is rare to awaken it, it can make for some very interesting evolutions.

‘Oh, I don’t know what to choose. I wish that it was random.’

You have chosen randomly.

A random monster species has been chosen.

‘Wait what? I didn’t choose that’

Kobolds have been randomly selected

Congratulations! You have earned the title “Randomizer”

All future evolutions now have a random chance to become variant creatures

You have earned 5 dungeon points.

‘Wait … what are dungeon points?’

Dungeon Points are used to purchase items in the Dungeon Auction.

‘What’s the dungeon auction? I don’t think I saw it when I first looked at my status page.’

Information about the Dungeon Auction is not available at your level yet.

‘Okay … best not think about that yet then. Anyways, it looks like there's a bright side. That should make things more interesting. Now time to finish setting everything up.’

Teaghan began to populate her floor. Teaghan decided to start with planting the tree's across the floor. In the first room, she added 6 pine tree's in the sapling stage and used the remaining mana to speed up the growth of the trees. The trees grew to reach the ceiling, and their branches spread to intertwine with each other, creating a canopy of branches and needles.

Once she realized that she ran out of mana, Teaghan decided to plan what the other rooms would be like. The other smaller rooms would essentially be laid out the same way as the first room. The smaller rooms would have around six to ten trees with the white holly vines strung throughout the branches. With grass in all the rooms and hallways.

The bigger room would have around 30 to 35 trees, making the room dense with tree branches. At the very top of the branches, the white holly would grow at the very top, creating a dull glow.

After thinking about the rooms, Teaghan decided it was time to think about what to do with the hallways. She decided to dig three dead end hallways off of the hallways going to the bigger room. At the end of the dead end hallways, she decided that she will add one or two tree's at the end of each dead end to create a small thicket at the end. The white holly vine dominated in the hallways. It grew out of small crevices near the top of the walls and ceilings, and grew downwards, creating a small amount of light in the hallways.

Slowly but surely, Teaghan created what she imagined, only having to stop when she ran out of mana over and over again. When she was done with setting up the environment, she decided to create an area for her animals and monsters.

Teaghan created small burrows and dens around the hallways for the rabbits and foxes, and connected their homes to the rooms by small tunnels. When she summoned the animals in their burrows, a blue screen appeared.

Do you want to set the burrows as the cotton-tail rabbit spawn points?

Do you want to set the dens as the red fox spawn points?

‘Huh, well that’s convenient. Yes, I would like to set the spawn points. Now time for the hawks.’

Teaghan made the hawks only appear in the rooms. She also made little crevices at the top of the room for the hawks to nest at safely.

Do you want to set the nesting areas of the sharp-shinned hawk as the spawn points?

Once Teaghan finished with the plants and animals, she went to figure out how to use the kobolds. To figure out what they actually were, she decided to summon one of the creatures.

She summoned one of the creatures in her core room. The creature had soft furred skin in the colour of black with burnt orange eyes and was about the height of her waist when she was human. The kobold had skinny arms and legs, with a loincloth covering it’s private areas.

The kobold was kind of cute looking, decided Teaghan. The kobold looked at her like a puppy would at it’s owner.

« I think I’ll name you Sirius » said Teaghan to the newly named Sirius.

Congratulations! You have named your first monster.

You have gained 5 Dungeon Points.

Teaghan turned her attention back to the kobold. She decided to make the dead end hallways, and the third and fourth room where the kobolds will reside.

Teaghan summoned three more and sent them off to get used to their new home.

After watching them for a couple of minutes, Teaghan decided that it was finally time to open up her dungeon to the world.

She carved out a zigzag pattern hallway until she was about to breach the surface. The hallway that she dug was elevated slightly.

After Teaghan finished carving out the entrance hallway she added grass to the hallway.

Teaghan decided that it was time to breach the outside world and carved out a small entrance, large enough to let her kobolds in and out, but small enough to keep out any big predators until she was ready.

Congratulations! You have opened your dungeon to the outside world.

You have earned 5 dungeon points.
