without further ado Chapter 27
------------------------------------------Fafnir------------
“What do you mean by demoness?” I quickly asked, “I thought the child was a boy.”
The demon stopped for a second and looked at the child, “Nope, she’s female.”
“Dang you Atheros, why couldn’t you do your job correctly!” I cursed.
“Is that a problem…?” he asked as his voice trembled a bit.
“No, it’s not a problem” I sighed, “It just makes my life harder.”
“If you wish , O dragon, we can look over this child for you.” he offered
“No.” I replied glaring at the demon, “She is my responsibility; I just need you to feed her so we can return to my lair.”
“Sure. we’ll feed her…” He replied, fear still covering his face, “do-do you wish to come in?”
“Thank you for offering,” I replied with a grin, “I will join you in a second” I watched his face pale at my reply. Seizing the moment I cast my shrinking spell and, once more small, I walked around the socked demon.
I looked around the three roomed shank. It was nicer than expected; there were a couple of recliners around a small fireplace, a decent looking kitchen and two bedrooms. I could see the adolescent demon lying on the bed in the next room and i heard another in the kitchen. Our eyes met and he started screaming.
a demoness walked over to the boy to console him, trying not to be noticed as she stole glances of me. Ignoring them I walked over to a chair and laid myself on top of it.
“Dear, do we have any more of the dried dragon left?” He asked the demoness after he finally recovered from shock, “The talking dragon here wants us to feed this young one here.” he froze once more realizing what he just said.

“You can eat lesser wyverns all you like, I don’t care.” I stated easing the man’s fears, “just feed her.”
I watched the demoness shoot a deathly glare at her husband, “Dear, you should feed a two year old something better than just dried meat”, she scolded. “I will feed the girl, while you entertain the nice dragon.”
“That’s a great idea, Honey”, he replied before he sat on a chair as far from me as possible.
“I am guessing that whatever you did was successful.” he said in a somewhat more relaxed tone.
I stared at him for a bit with my large draconic eye before I replied, “Yes I was able to deal with a future problem in a somewhat civil manner, that I might have had to deal with in a less than civil way.”
“I am glad then everything went well.” he shuddered.
“So where did you get the lovely girl?” He asked his voice a bit steadier than before.
“Are you sure you want to know?” I questioned.
“Y-y-yes?” he stuttered a look of worry on his face.
I thought for a minute while watching the demoness feed the little demon lord. “I will tell you the answer after she has eaten.” I declared.
“Ok.”
After about fifteen minutes of uncomfortable silence, the demoness said her eyes glaring at me, “There, the girl has been fed and changed.”
“Thank you and as promised I will remove the curse.” I said chuckling a bit at their belief in my little lie. I walked over to the boy, fear plastering his face and part of the bed. I released a bit of my breath and melted the edge of his hair. “It is done, the curse has been removed.”

We walked out of the house and after releasing the shrinking spell I take the little demon lord from the demoness and place her back into the pouch.
“I will be off,” I said, as I started to grin, “as to where I got this little girl, you will probably hear soon that the demon lord was taken by a beast. I will let you determine if the two are related.” I laughed as I leaped into the sky leaving the stunned demons behind.
“Should I keep her or should I just eat her, as my stomach has been telling me to?” I asked myself as we flew over the green sea of trees near the elven city. “If I am going to keep, how I would take care of her, I mean I am not exactly in a form to take care of a two year old.” i mused,”Whatever, I will cross that bridge when I come to it.”
As dusk started to settle I could make out the city in the distance. I grabbed onto the pouch with the sleeping girl as I descended through the treetops. I could make out cries of alarm from the guards as I landed in front of Therin’s house. I knocked and after about a minute a familiar elf opened the door.
“You’re back sooner than expected.” He flatly stated as his eyes were drawn to my pouch, “What do you have?”
“Nice to see you too, I will answer your question after I come in.” I replied, “Also get Atheros; I think he will like the answer to that question.”
“Fine,” he sighed, “Atheros is upstairs attempting to discern that list of your.”
I placed the sack on the floor, the demoness started to squirm inside and controlling my magic I shrink myself enough to fit through the hallways, I pick up the sack once again, much to the protest of the now awake child, and walked into the den. I pulled her out of the sack and I placed her on the ground, she started to explore the unfamiliar surrounds as I settled down.
“Why is there a demon child crawling around on the floor Fafnir?” Atheros asked as he walked into the den.
“Atheros, I found your demon lord and savior.” I replied before I burst out laughing.
“What?” was all Atheros could say.
“I solved your demon problem.” I stated.
“What does a small chi…” he said before froze. “ is that who I think that is?”
“No, as that would mean you think”, I jabbed. “Though if you are trying to ask if this is the demon lord, I would reply; ‘she used to be’, as from now on, she will be my daughter.”
“Who has a daughter?” Therin asked as he walked into the den, freezing as he noticed the child.

Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.
