《The Ancient Crystal》Announcement

Hey everybody, sorry for the short haitus, I've been too busy over the past month to find time to work on the story, which has now caught up with all of the content that I had written back when I'd first created the series. I'm definitely committed to continuing the series, but I really enjoy this story and think that it has a lot of potential, and I don't want to squander that forcing myself to type up content for a weekly post. This is the type of story that I like to take my time on, refining the style, editing and revising the content and plot progression etc.
Some of you might have noticed that I've published the first book of the series on Amazon and enrolled it in the KDP program, which is why I've only left about ten percent of book one on RR. If you enjoy the story and want to show some support as I work on the second book, then I would really appreciate it if you picked up a copy in the kindle store! Such support really helps to encourage me to keep working on the coming content, and helps me open up time to write. Thank you all for your interest and support thus far, I'm really happy that I was able to share the beginning of this series that I was so obsessed with for such a memorable period of my life.
That brings me to the second book. To give you a general idea of the direction that the story will take, 1/3 of this book will cover Alistar as a 9-year-old / 10-year-old (a little bit ahead of where the last post left off), 1/3 will cover his preteen years, and the rest will centre on 14-year-old / 15-year-old Alistar, as he grows up in Mayhaven with his new family. One of the main antagonists of the series will also be introduced partway through this book, the title of which will be: The Timeless Curse. I'm a full-time student at the local university here and I've currently got two books to edit, format and publish, and two that I need to finish writing, then edit, format, publish (including Book Two of the Slave's Son Saga, this series). That being said, this is the one series that I am most eager to write, and I expect to have the second book finished by late summer / early fall. It should be around 100,000 words in length, or about 65-70 posts at once!

I hope that you keep this story followed, because I'll be announcing the publication of the second book with an update on this site. If you enjoy my writing style, try my other series on this site, The Archaic Ring. While the style is very different, it's still my unique take on a cultivation/xianxia story, and my own style nonetheless. I also want to point out that I got a good deal of downvotes and displeased readers once I started publishing my other books from RR, but I hope that anybody that might be a bit disgruntled can understand that I don't get paid to post here, and I've invested thousands upon thousands of hours into the works that I share on this platform. It's my decision, of course, but it kind of blew my mind how nasty some people were when I put some of my other stories on Amazon, over a few bucks smh.
Lastly, to everybody that's commented, rated, favourited, encouraged, offered edits/suggestions, offered thanks in the comment sections, and otherwise tried to help increase the story's exposure, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It wasn't just a few times that my bad mood was lifted after seeing a compliment or positive comment, and most of the time these simple gestures threw me right into the mood to write, so that I could return the thanks in my own way. Thank you all, and be safe in this acid trip of a reality that we live in.
Until the summer/fall, my friends!

Whims and Rolls of Gods
What happens when one creates a story then leaves everything to chance? Thousands of paths stretch out endlessly that separate into even more, countless paths. And then, all but one is destroyed with a single roll of a twenty-sided die. The die becomes the true author while the writer just provides possibilities then takes a backseat and narrates. This story will be random. To save time, the characters and some of the events will be somewhat generic, but past that all bets are off. It will create tropes and then shatter them. Characters can and will die. Even the writer doesn’t know how this story will play out. The die is the god of this world that rolls and everything it says goes. The writer is the god of this world whose whims become reality after the die rolls. Cover art was done by PrimalAvatar from INKed.

Dream Theater
Long casted shadows danced in the background, as a man squibbled and jotted words on yellow papers. A mere novelty, remnant and ghost that was left to age away along with the forgotten theater, a man grasped for inspiration to salvage what was left of his soul. Abandoned in the squalid room, Pxan was left hauntedly in the furthest corners of insanity that bubbled in his mind. No one would listen to his plight, denouncing him and claiming his mind was not right. Even though the world left him with nothing, turning their backs to him, he knew the books would never betray him in the same fashion. Faceless pages and books yet to be read ogled puppy eyes, ready to be penned by the madman. “Pxan! Pxan! Over here! To me!” Clamored the unpublished manuscripts. Pxan’s fingers quivered nervously, thoughts of failure flooded his mind. Wanting to surrender to the pressure. “No!” He cried. “I’ve had enough of writing.” Books with eyes all stared at him, begging for the tales to be written. Their pleaful eyes were all that Pxan needed to be moved to writing again. The man sighed and raised his pen again, stroking the first letters of inspiration that bore fruit from his mind. A maddening tale of a policeman, cultists and a violent revenge… -Currently on Hiatus while writing the second volume. The first volume is up. I will take a few days to rewrite a few chapters. Isekai: A Tale of The Ordinary
A man, who died of being crushed by a wrecking ball, is happy he's finally about to embark on his own isekai journey. Though lady luck was not on his side, through an unfortunate string of events, he became the source of entertainment for a goddess. Though it may sound nice, "nice" is definitely the last word he'd use to describe what's about to happen to him. Isekai cults, the wrath of the gods, execution on day one, and a very mean dog, all of that is happening to him in order to appease the goddess that sent him to another world. — Hey all! Forgive me if there’s any grammatical error in this (English is not my first language). I made this story just to vent out my frustrations and spew out anything that’s in my brain. Criticisms are welcomed! Just don't be so mean about it.
