《Saiyan in a Cultivation World》Chapter 4 - Dreaming, Waking Up and the Start of Training

Fang Xiong was currently in his bed, his robe had been removed by his father before he left and in its place were some simple underpants.
They seemed to be specially made as they had a weirdly placed hole on the upper half of the back of the underpants but the hole had its purposes. Coming out of the hole was a black-furred tail which was slowly wiggling back and forth like some kind of dancing snake.
Fang Xiong himself was mumbling things in his sleep and he would twitch every now and again. Obviously, he was having a very vivid dream.
Inside his head at the moment, he was currently floating about in a dark place but ever so slowly it was getting lighter and lighter and its appearance was showing itself. Finally, after what felt like forever for Fang Xiong, the void showed itself for what it truly was; a massive tropical forest.
As he realized where he was standing, Fang Xiong felt his heart strongly beat in his chest. Not from fear, obviously, but from pure excitement. It felt like he was home here like he could finally let loose on some of his baser instincts.
He slowly walked between the trees, feeling the vegetation underneath his feet and the clear air going into his lungs.
Suddenly, Fang Xiong heard some noise and being in a good mood, decided to check it out. He ran as fast as he could toward where he heard the noise, his keen senses leading the way and before he knew it he arrived at the origin of the noise.
What he saw surprised him. It was two people, a man who had black wild and spiky hair which seemed to defy gravity, a rugged but handsome face with hard black eyes which seemed full of pride. The man was incredibly muscular and tall and had tan skin with multiple scars spread throughout his body.
But what caught Fang Xiong's attention completely was the tail sticking out from the man's lower back.
Shock rippled from throughout Fang Xiong's body. Ever since he was born, his father had told him he was unlike other children or even humans in general and that's why he had to hide his tail. But right now he was seeing a man with a tail just like his. It was slightly thicker and the fur covering it was much wilder but it was the same kind of tail.
Dragging his eyes away from the man, Fang Xiong looked at the person next to the tall man. A woman.
Not too much shorter than the man, the woman looked like she was incredibly athletic but not like the man, more like a gymnast or a dancer compared to the man who looked like a massive bodybuilder.
She had black hair like the man but it was much more like Fang Xiong's; long and straight. She had pale skin which was covered in scars just like the man's body but they did not take away from her beauty, for Fang Xiong at least. Her face, while quite sharp looking, was still soft in the right places to class it as feminine and both these sharp and soft features came together to make a unique kind of beauty.
Unlike the man, however, she had no tail which caused some disappointment in Fang Xiong's heart; he thought that he'd found more people like himself.
This disappointment was taken away when he saw the woman's eyes; bright, near luminescent, amber just like his own eyes.

While he had seen different colored eyes in his time living, he'd only seen 3 different kinds; Black eyes like his father's, red eyes like his sister's and uncle's and blue eyes from one of the maids who's employed by his family. Because of his father's overprotective nature, he hadn't been outside much either so he hadn't had the chance to see anyone with bright amber eyes like himself.
As Fang Xiong was thinking this, the big man turned to him catching him off guard and causing him to jump back into a crude combat stance.
This caused a small smile of pride to well upon the man's face, "You truly have Saiyan blood in you..."
"Fwahhh!" Fang Xiong opened his eyes and shot up in his bed, covered in sweat. He heard a small yelp and looked over at the doorway to see his sister holding a tray with multiple dishes of food on it.
"Ah...brother, I hope I didn't disturb you I...I'll leave after I put this down..." she walked up to his bed and put the tray on the bedside table, she looked a bit anxious as she did so. When she went to leave, Fang Xiong grabbed her wrist, eliciting another small yelp.
"Sister...about what I said after you healed me...I'm sorry, it's just sometimes, sometimes I can't control my anger very well..." Fang Xiong sincerely said this as he averted his eyes, a part of him feeling disgusted by his apology and emotion while another part of him felt a weight come from his shoulders.
Xiao Mei shook as she heard his apology, she knew full well how hard it was to get Fang Xiong to apology to anyone so whenever he does apologize it's something incredibly special. Warmth filled her soft red eyes as she looked at her brother, her earlier resolve strengthened to even higher heights than before.
"Mhm, it's okay Xiong'er!" she beamed a smile that seemed to light up the room and even with his eyes averted, Fang Xiong still had to admit he had a beautiful sister. Moving past that exchange which was ever-so-hard for Fang Xiong, he started to devour the food on the tray in front of him while his sister sat at the end of his bed watching him.
While he ate, he and Xiao Mei spoke about how long he'd been out and it turned out a full day had passed and that's why he had so much food on the tray; because he missed lunch and dinner yesterday.
After informing him of this, Xiao Mei jumped up from his bed, surprising her brother a bit before saying she had to go inform their uncle that he was awake.
Thinking about his training yesterday, Fang Xiong was excited to see if he could start training today. After Xiao Mei left it didn't take long for Master Long to come back and take her place, "So, my disciple, how was your sleep?" Fang Xiong thought about telling him about the dream but in the end, decided not to as even he wasn't too sure about what it all meant.
"It was refreshing, seemed to heal me from all those bruises you put on my body, Old man," Fang Xiong dismissively spoke as he continued to shovel food down his gullet.
A small vein appeared on Master Long's forehead but he suppressed himself and spoke in a calm voice, "Ah, that's good. Well, we better get started on cultivation after you've eaten the rest of that," he paused for a minute, looking at the amount of food left and the amount of food that had already been eaten, "Which I have to admit, I've never seen someone so young eat so much before."

Fang Xiong shrugged and mumbled something about how he's always been like this. Master Long secretly laughed at his brother-in-law's expense as after the training he was going to put Fang Xiong through, their food bill was going to go through the roof.
Not knowing his Master's 'diabolical' plan, Fang Xiong quickly finished off the rest of the food before getting out of bed and getting dressed in a pair of baggy shorts which he pulled up just high enough to hide the tail wrapped around his hip/waist area.
After that, they set off to the same private courtyard for Fang Xiong, Xiao Mei, and their Father.
No conversation was really spoken between the two, they knew they had things to talk about when the entered the courtyard and until then nothing really needed to be said. Luckily for them, it didn't take too long to get there.
"Alright then, Xiong'er, sit down while I explain what your training yesterday did and what you're going to be doing now and for the foreseeable future until you official start Cultivating," Master Long spoke in an almost casual way but Fang Xiong could tell that he was incredibly serious under the carefree facade, "But what I'm about to tell you can't be told to anyone, even Xiao Mei and your father, okay?"
Fang Xiong nodded, understanding that his Master didn't want the secrets of his Breathing Technique to be spread around. Seeing his disciples expression of understanding, he let out a breath relief and leaned in and whispered to Fang Xiong, "What you did yesterday was start your body on a path of withstanding extremes. I noticed you had such affinity for this Method because your body seems to incredibly adaptable to almost any condition whether it be gravity, temperature, and lack of oxygen; you excel in adapting to all of them."
Fang Xiong looked up at his Master and felt an odd spark of excitement grow in his heart. The thought of breaking past extreme limits thoroughly excited him, down to the very fibers of his body.
Seeing the flame of excitement in Fang Xiong's eyes and the slight tug of a grin on his face, Master Long chuckled before continuing, "And to withstand and ascend past an extreme, you must have as much energy as you can possibly muster. Those exercise that we did yesterday were to make it so you didn't waste any excess energy on those activities," he paused to see if Fang Xiong was still with him before continuing, "You see, no matter what people do, they waste energy, Vital Energy as we Ki Cultivators call it, and this energy is what we convert to Ki by exercising our bodies and using it as a medium or catalyst. But the problem with Vital Energy is that you waste it all the time by, for example, Walking Incorrectly, Breathing Incorrectly and Sleeping Incorrectly but when you fix those things, you barely exude any wasteful energy at all. If you don't understand me, think of it like this; You felt much more vigorous than usual when you woke up today, didn't you?"
Now that he thought about it, Fang Xiong did have to admit that he felt like his stamina and energy were both inexhaustible ever since he awoke from the sleep his Master so-annoyingly put him in.
Seeing the look of acknowledgment on Fang Xiong's face, Master Long continued again, "That is because of you retaining energy you would've wasted by breathing wrongly while you slept and you would've been sleeping wrongly as well, so imagine the loss of energy? But nevermind that, after the training yesterday you don't have to worry about being wasteful ever again but that's not to say you waste no energy, there are higher levels to what you've achieved--" He stopped himself from speaking before switching the subject, "Anyway nevermind that, that's for the future, not now."
Master Long grabbed at the air and pulled out some mysterious metal blocks attached to what looked like arm guards, shin guards and a vest, "These are training weights. I've had these special ones for a long time, waiting to find a worthy disciple to use them on and now that I've found you, I'll give you the honor of using them," he laughingly said as he placed the weighted clothes on the floor in front of Fang Xiong, "Go on, what are you waiting for, put them on, Xiong'er."
Fang Xiong did what was needed and slid the clothes on.
The first thing he noticed was the weight; it was slightly crushing even with his preternatural strength. He cast an annoyed glance at his Master as if asking him why he didn't tell him about how heavy they were before he put them on.
Master Long, as if he saw the annoyed question in his eyes', answered Fang Xiong's mental question, "These are made of a special metal, I don't know how they specifically work but I do know that the weight changes depending on the user and probably by scanning the strength of the body and changing its weight," the possibilities of what this meant ran through Fang Xiong's head causing him to become incredibly exhilarated but as if he saw what Fang Xiong thought, Master Long, interrupted his disciples joyous moment, "But there is a limit, such as when you reach the peak of the Houtian Realm the weight won't increase any further, so don't think you can constantly keep training with these because you can't."
To this bit of information, Fang Xiong felt a bit down but soon rose up again after he thought that he'd already got something perfect for the Houtian Realm, he'd have to worry about the realms after that when he gets to them.
"Okay, can you move in the weights? Do a few jumps and stretches so I can see the limits of your movement with them on," Master Long took a few steps back before motioning for Fang Xiong to do what he asked.
He did a few jumps which seemed incredibly high, especially with the weights he has on, and did some stretches showing he had a wide range of movement even with the weights on. But even if he could still move with the weights on, that didn't mean they didn't take a toll on his stamina.
Feeling the slightest bit of perspiration on his body, Fang Xiong reevaluated his 'inexhaustible' stamina and energy from earlier but he stubbornly persisted and continue to stand straight even with the crushing weight of the clothes on him.
"Great, now let's get down to your training, don't let me down, disciple!"

8 276Not Another Isekai RPG Story Alternate
The story ends at Alternate Route Finale. Ch 2-2 and on can be treated as Extra Chapters. I still hadn't edited that one and it's low on priority. I may come back to it if I'm in the mood. Most of the portions of the story will NOT focus on the skills, stats, grinding or battles. More about the dialogues (or the internal monologues) and the MC interacting with the world (or glitching, if you name it.). ... With parts of his memory lost, Takeshi, a 25-year old lazy office worker was transported to a game world. Using his casual knowledge on video-game mechanics, join Takeshi's journey as he discover more about the world, his companions and himself. (only if you're interested though.) My personal review: from ch-2 on expect a lot of perversion going on. It can be pretty weird, like the MC want to be a girl and Y*ri other girls, Fut*nari folks, Traps, the mention of t*ntacle monsters and some lulzy display (like shoving a morning star up someone's b*tthole in retaliation). In here, the MC will discover new things as he kept on exploring and trying different stuff. This story will mostly be character-driven. Explanations about the world and its mechanics was kept to a minimum. The MC's on the shameless side with not much real-life common sense (maybe) and he's (probably) not righteous at all. The other characters can be pretty weird as well. It won't focus on romance. Well that's about it.
8 85Enchanter's Rapsody
They called him the Divine Enchanter. A man who reached the apex on the profession of enchanting. Albeit of his position of great power, he decides that nothing matters anymore as he has grown tired of living after millennia. This is the story of a powerful man that decided to end his life, only to survive and find himself in a changed version of his world. A mysterious entity has taken over the world and everyone adores it as it gives away free power unlike the divinities of yore. What has happened since he has been away? Author’s note: This story is a mix of everything but centered on crafting. There will be action, there will be politics, but the MC is an enchanter, not a fighter or a diplomat. The MC begins with an existencial crisis and suicide thoughts. (Added Traumatising Content warning, though I won't further than that in the story) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

8 70Hiraeth | Regulus Black
The Avery family were one of the few truly pureblood wizarding families left in society. One of the first Death Eaters, he showed tremendous loyalty towards his friend and master Lord Voldemort during his first rise to power. Not only was Lucas active in his duties, he also raised two children to carry his respect into the next generation. One of his children did this with great dignity and honour... Whilst the other did not. Esmeralda (Esme) Avery never truly fit in anywhere. No matter how hard she tried. This case of isolation is perhaps what led Esme to rebel so fearlessly against what was expected against her. Then, in her sixth year at Hogwarts, she did something extraordinary. Not only was this one last desperate escape from the traumatic woes facing her at home, it also cemented her future. One fateful evening would lead Esme not only on a path of discovery but also fear and heartache. Are there any other kind of stories during Voldemort's first rise to power?
