《I Reincarnated as an Alien Monster》Decisive Strike!!!
It's been 30 minutes since they've started clashing, and no one has yet to gain the upper hand. But as a seasoned adventurer, Rokvir has been studying the monster throughout the fight.
( This creature really is tough, and it seems to be of higher intelligence than ones you normally meet, though this creature is most probably a hatchling since it's only relying on brute strength. I've also got to take note of its blood. I've never noticed it before but its blood is like the acid attack those Slimes do. Without enhancing my sword with magic, it most likely would've melted earlier. I also need to be wary of its sharp tail. Damn, this monster is like made entirely for battle. )
But soon, the tides of battle would change as Rokvir has started to experience fatigue due to the non-stop exchange of blows.
(This is getting nowhere... before I'd hit my limit, I should at least take him out with me.. and I think the only way is to do that huh...)
This guy is really strong, dammit! I knew that he wasn't on a normal level like those ones I've fought earlier.
Even though it may seem that we're on even grounds, I've actually been trying to find a way out ever since we've started fighting; but I just can't find a gap even for a second. And his attacks are all killing blows, one clean hit and I'd probably die, It's even a miracle that I've lasted this long by either blocking or dodging by a hair's breadth away.
Anyways, this battle is already taking a toll on my body. In order to win this, I really need something like a game-changing move in order to somehow win this.
But unlike him which is using skill after skill, I only have my [Camouflage] which might as well be useless for now.
And while I was thinking about all these stuff, suddenly, he thrusts his sword unto the ground violently.
A skill? is it a trap?
I've instinctively leapt backwards to create a distance between us... but soon I might've regret not trying to grab the opportunity that opening gave me..
A resounding voice then filled the forest with the words that came from his mouth.
"Monster! I, Rokvir Ivanov, a descendant of the heroic King of Dwarves, Jaro Ivanov, will put an end to this! [Pseudo-Ant's Boon (lesser)]!!!"
Shit! He's a descendant of the first reincarnator? Doesn't sound Japanese though...
But seriously... this is bad news..
All my instincts are telling me to run or I'll die, but it also tells me that the moment I turn my back will be the end of me.
What the hell should I do now?!
The pressure right now is really heavy... This might be the first time I truly felt fear in this world.
Am I gonna die? I just arrived in this world and yet I'm going to die?
Just when doubts are about to fill my head, I instinctively reacted to the man who called himself Rokvir that suddenly dashed towards me aiming at my life.
With my full power I tried to evade but he was just too fast!
*BOOM*
My left arm went flying...
"AAAARRGHHH!!!"
SHIIIIIT!!! THAT HURTSS!!!!!
Is that the effects of his [Pseudo-Ant'se Boon (lesser)]? Even it's just pseudo and lesser, this much is too much of a cheat!
Even when some of my blood gushed towards him, it seems like it only gave him some slight burns. Is that magic or something?! So is my blood useless in this world?
Still though... It hurts like hell!!! My arm... SHIT!
And even while I'm like this, I know I shouldn't stop so I immediately jumped at full power towards my back but then--
*BOOM*
"SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII--!!!"
AAAAUUUGHHH!!! MY LEG!!!
The next blow crushed my left leg!!!
This is impossible... I can't move... the pain.... IT HURTS!!..
And when I gazed towards the man, I knew this time I won't be able to dodge...
His sword aimed directly towards my neck went towards me on full speed..
But then..
*BOOM*
"AAAAAGGGGHHH"
IT HURTS!! SHIIT!
It hurts.... but.. that means, I'm still alive?
His sword missed my neck but instead crushed my right shoulder...
A miracle?
[Pseudo-Ant's Boon (lesser)]... This is a skill that was passed down rarely in our bloodline.. A great skill that will multiply our stats by 10 for 30 seconds...
This skill is the reason where I am right now. It was both the bane and boon of my life.
The House Ivanov is a prominent family on the Dwarven Kingdom; second only to the royal family.
The house prides themselves for the heroic blood that dwells within their veins.
Every century, a champion would be born with part of the heroic King of Dwarves' powers within them. And I was born with it, or should I say we...
I was born with the powers together with my twin brother, but the thing is, mine was much weaker than my brother's.
My skill was considered incomplete, so I was cast aside from our family. Even though that happened, I bear no ill-will towards my brother. As he climbed towards being the Prime Minister of our country, I traveled as an adventurer instead. And I have no regrets, because of this skill, I was able to meet my wife and had a wonderful daughter.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this skill decided the course of my life.
This skill might be strong, but as it is incomplete, it does not come without a weakness...
While using it, I'll receive the [Drunk with Power] debuff that leaves me slightly disoriented. After the duration, for 30 seconds all my stats will become zero.
I know this is a huge gamble to use, so I usually keep it as a trump card. But it seems like I lost this gamble as I failed to finish this monster off...
Erica... I hope you'll be safe... I'm sorry...
Even though I'm engulfed with pain, I just can't help but to feel relieved...
The dominating pressure emanating from this man is gone.
He is just there, not moving an inch..
I forcibly moved myself away from and look out for possible movements from him, but it seems like his guard is down.
This is it... This is my chance!!!
Even while I'm struggling with pain, I forced myself to move closer towards him and strike him with my tail!
*SHHHhhhhkk!!*
"uuggghh...."
The man groaned as I stabbed him through his body... but this is not enough..
*stab*
*stab*
*stab*
*ting!*
Not enough!!!
*stab**stab**stab**stab**stab**stab**stab**stab**stab**stab*
Huge amount of blood gushed through the countless holes in the man's body...

The pain that you've given to me... receive it all you bastard!!!
Not enough.. this is nearly not enough...
I noticed that the corrosive blood from my wounds are starting to melt his flesh. Maybe because his enhancement magic is done?
Well to finish this bastard, I then proceeded to pour down my blood unto his face...
This bastard... almost killed me... I can never forgive this man... I should be allowed to take revenge right?
My corrosive blood quickly melted the flesh on his face and revealed his skull..
Screw this... I'm... tired...
And my consciousness faded away...

It's been hours since I left the forest.
Earlier, I woke up still surrounded by numerous rotting corpses, I had no idea how much time has passed so it might be dangerous to stay there.
I noticed that my lost limbs were already partially regenerated. I mean, they're basically my limbs still without the hard exoskeleton.
Even if I was not fully healed, I can still manage to move.
I actually still have to wander around the forest to find my Encyclopedia though. I actually lost it when I was attacked, but fortunately it was stuck between the roots of the tree where I was sleeping and thankfully no one has found it before me.
And with that, I finally decided to leave.
To avoid encountering other humans, I avoided roads and went with my [Camouflage] active.
And just now, I remembered to check my status since all that battle should've gave me some experience.
Sooo, First of all! I did not get mana even when I invested on my INT stat! But! It is not a waste since I've unlocked something called [Opscurian Points]!
Since I had no idea on what to do with it, I went to my trusty Encyclopedia!
And apparently, these are points needed for me to unlock stuff in the [Opscurian Tree]. And when I checked, these are the still things that I will be able to use or unlock with the points I have.
[Create Lesser Opscurian Egg (100 pts.)]
[Unlock Secondary Mouth (50 pts.)]
[Unlock Acid Spit (50 pts.)]
[Unlock Headlatcher Generation (1000 pts)]
[???]
So only these for now huh? There are other boxes with [???] and it seems like I still need to somehow unlock them. And I'm guessing that I'll be able to unlock them by gaining more INT stat.
Though, even if I'm going to invest more in the INT stat, I also need to keep in mind increasing my other stats. Judging by the earlier fight, it's really possible that there would be a whole lot more beings stronger than that guy in this world.
Anyways, that Headlatcher seems intriguing, I'm positive it's like the F*ce*ugger of the ones I saw in the movies... but 1000 points? where can I even get that big amount? Well, unless I'd murder everyone I saw, I think I'll just do it slowly.
For now, I think I'll get the Acid Spit, it seems to be useful in the future.
[Confirm to Unlock "Acid Spit"?]
[Yes] [No]
Well duh.
[Successfully Unlocked the skill "Acid Spit"]
[Opscurian Points: 62 > 12]
And with that, I got my 2nd active skill! It really is reassuring to have a long range skill since relying on my brute strength almost killed me last time. I just hope that I'll not encounter someone as strong as the guy I last fought for now. I just want to steadily level up and become stronger.
I would want to test the skill right now, but It might be dangerous to do it in the open. But in a few moments, I saw a place perfect for practice!
I've been running for hours now and I can see on my map that I've traveled a long way already.
Right now, trees aren't as many as the forest I was first in, but instead, there are lakes and huge rock formations. If I search hard enough, I might be able to find a cave somewhere.
First of all, I should scout the area for monsters while practicing my [Acid Spit].
...
..
.
A few hours has passed and it's almost nighttime. It might be time for me now to find a shelter.
While scouting, there are actually a lot different kinds of monsters living in this area.
I saw some overgrown lizards that spits fire, giant frogs that spits poison, giant snakes, and also giant mosquitoes. So basically, this here is a marshland that is full of weird giant creatures.
I also practiced my [Acid Spit] skill, but there's something weird about this skill. Instead of getting a cooldown per use, like my [Camouflage], Spitting acid is more like peeing... yup.. literally like pissing..
I don't even need to say the word [Acid Spit], I just did it like it was a natural thing to do. I also can't do it continuously since every use makes me feel empty inside.
Well, my point is that I should not carelessly use this skill. If I carelessly use this skill, I might run into a situation where I need to use it but I can't, and I don't want that to happen especially when I finally felt how it means to almost die.
Anyways, it's already been a while and I am yet to find shelter. It's not like I absolutely need to find a cave to sleep, it's just that it feels more safer to be sleeping inside a hidden place. I don't want anyone to launch fireballs at me when I'll be sleeping.
While I continued walking, the sun already went down and it's getting dark.
I guess I'll just sleep on a patch of bushes somewhere.
While I was about to find some play to rest, the ground where I stepped suddenly glowed bright. Something like a magical circle?
I tried to jump away but for some reason, I felt drowsy... I'm sleepy...
*tighten*
What?... A vine?... whaa?.. .. .
...
..
.
"Oh my, what this?... How curious..."

Moreover, relations between all 4 Kingdoms on the Central Continent, namely Nirvania, Miran, Cameron and the Sylph Kingdom, have reached unprecedented heights, ushering an age of peace. However, danger lies ever closer, with the Chaos Legion staying low over the past 2 years, awaiting the perfect opportunity to rear its ugly head.
