CHAPTER 47: Gold Vs. Diamond

“Yasu!” She kept shouting my name while tears come out of her eyes. I kept walking towards her hoping to meet her before her buddies catch up.

“Hiroko! Come give me a big fat hug!” I fake my happiness as she blindly ran towards me. Every muscle on my body is itching to just swing at her but I held myself, as I want her to get closer in the range of my swing.

“Yasu!” her voice is causing me to get a headache but I kept a smile going trying not to alert her of anything weird yet, it makes me want to laugh that she’s not noticing my walk with my hand inside my bag.

“Hiroko~” I whisper as I see her get closer and closer.

Come closer, you bitch.I whisper in my mind as I grip the handle of the frying pan trying my best not to show it. I see Junpei probably notice I’m up to something as he goes on a full sprint towards Hiroko shouting at her to stop. Everyone follows right beside him as Hiroko runs towards me oblivious of her team warning her what’s about to happen.

“Too late,” I whisper to myself as I can see Junpei and the rest of them are too far away to even catch up to her. “Now come closer~”

“Yas-“

I swung full force towards her face and the impact made a loud metallic bang. I see her hands go limp and she flew a few feet to the side due to the impact of my swing caused her brain to shake in place as my attack knocked her unconscious. She landed on the ground with a loud thud and I see blood coming out of her nose as it’s bent the wrong way. Her hair goes over her eyes and she isn’t moving at all.

“Hiroko!!!” Junpei shouts as he runs towards her. As soon as he got close, he checked her pulse quickly. He was too busy that he didn’t notice me step behind him until his team calls out his name.

“Junpei! Behind you!!” I hear Sawada shout as I swung my frying pan at full force. The minute he turns around to face me, my frying pan was close to the side of his head going at full force as I use both my hands to boost up the impact. Junpei grabbed the hilt of his sheathed sword and I kick it back down sheathing it in place as I stop my swing and stared him down.

"Now now~ Drawing your sword is dangerous~," I tell him as he looks up to me with fury in his eyes. “Oh, Hiroko is awake. Tenderize~”

He quickly turns the minute he hears her name and using this moment, I clenched my fist and brought it to the back of his head. My attack erupted and I see both of them tumbling towards a distance before hitting a tree and black dust covered the area as the ashes of the burnt wood spread through the air.

“That felt damn good!” I yelled out as I jump back. As soon as the smoke dissipated, I see him kneeling on the ground with blood trickling down his face. He was panting like he just ran a marathon.

“Yasu!! You fuck-“ He says as he turns towards me. I launched another attack towards his face and again, it exploded in place. The one I met before, the leader of their group who carries two swords got between us deflecting my next attack with his swords.

“Dude relax!” He shouted at me as he stepped between me and Junpei.

“Balo right? Fuck off. This is between them and me. Seismic step!” I rushed towards Junpei passing Balo in an instant and the minute I got close, I swung towards Junpei face with the frying pan. The impact caused a loud bang that echoed throughout the burnt forest. The force was too strong that the pan broke from its neck and the pan flew out of my hand leaving me with only the handle. I see Junpei still on his knees disoriented. He seems sturdier than that dumb bitch that got knocked out with one attack. He looked a bit lost as he tries to regain his composure but I didn’t wait for him to stand.

“Pound!” I swung towards his face in an uppercut position and it hit him in the nose as I hear it crunch under my fist. Using all my strength, I push upwards my swing and I send him flipping up in the air. I hear a noise on my left and I see Stella swinging her big sword towards me as she instantly closes the distance between us.

“Well, hello. You survived princess stupid~ Tnderiz-“ I suddenly stop as I see a shadow coming towards us.

“3-step combo!” Suyeon kicked Stella in the abdomen causing her armor to shatter in pieces like a piece of glass. She lost all air as Suyeon’s attack still sent her flying into the horizon.

Whistle~

"Wow, she flew faster than a jet," I whisper looking at her flying through the sky only to land back down destroying part of the forest from a distance.

“Yasu! How could you!” Riki yells at me as he’s rushed towards me with a two-handed hammer.

“How could I?! SHouldn’t I be asking you all that question?! Huh?!” I shout back as he swings downward and I sidestep to dodge it. The hammer went down and created a crater on the ground as it made contact. I rushed right in and stepped on the hammer right before he lifted it, causing him to stumble down. He looks up to me and I gave him a cold smile that removed all the color on his face.

"I like this hammer you got~," I tell him as he looked up to me.

“W-wha-“

I slugged at him without any skill activated and his body fell sideways. I stepped in and punching him again forcing him down as he tried to get back up. I kept punching him without any skill as I wanted him to feel the pain I felt. The pain of being brought back down and losing hope, I wanted them all to feel it. Even without a skill, they're not able to take a hit as my punch cause him to go on full defense trying to prevent my fist from doing any damage.

“You! Fucking! Shitbag!” I bombarded him with punches and all he did was cover trying to prevent me from reaching his face. It seems like these idiots haven’t been fighting or else punches like this would be nothing if they get used to it. He went in a fetal position on the ground and I kept hammering him with punches left and right without signs of stopping anytime soon. I feel something tackle me and I see Tobi on top of me as he tries to hold me down.

“Yasu! Relax! Stop! We’re not your enemy!” He yells as I struggle to break free. I suddenly stopped moving and just lay there on the ground.

“You’re right. I’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to.” I tell him and he relaxes slowly letting me go. He stood and held out a hand offering to help me up. I grabbed his hand but instead of getting myself pulled up, I pulled him down as I lodge my foot on his stomach sending him flipping over me. The minute he landed on the ground, I quickly got on top of him and I bombarded him with punches over and over again until I see his nose started to bleed.

“You’re right! You’re so fucking right! We aren’t enemies! But we sure as hell aren’t friends!!” I kept punching and he stopped blocking his face. All of a sudden, I felt something hit me from the side causing me to get launched up in the air to land a few feet away from my group who just watch the whole ordeal. I felt my side hurt as if someone kicked it and I felt my whole shirt is soaked wet.

“Water?” I whisper to myself inspecting my sides from any blood but nothing. As I look up, I see the girl that I remember taking out of the ogre kings stomach looking at me furiously. She’s floating a couple of water balls around her as she points her palm towards me.

“Oho~ So the gold want a piece of this action too huh,” I whisper as I slowly stood up and all of a sudden, small water balls flew towards the girl causing her to jump to the side dispersing her water balls at the same time. I look where the attack came from and I see Lisa in the same position with the same water ball but a lot smaller than the girl that just hit me on the side. I fell to the ground landing on my feet and I see Daikichi help me up as he glared down everyone who’s helping Tobi up.

“Yasu, we’re with you. These are enemies right?” He asks me, as he didn’t take off his eyes from them. All of a sudden, Balo printed towards us and Daikichi’s body tensed up as he takes out the Ogre Queens axe I gave him.

“I got this,” Daikichi says as sprint towards Balo and they start attacking each other.

“Daikichi! Wait!!” I shout trying to stop him knowing he won’t win. He’s still too weak to fight them. As I move, I notice Sawada somehow appeared in thin air.

“Aahhhh!!!!” Someone ran past erupted behind me and Sawada was tackled down by someone.

“I got this one!” Amaguchi shouts as he struggles to pin him down. An explosion erupted from a distance grabbing my attention and as the smoke disappeared, I see the Stella running at me at full speed.

"Item bag!" I took out two swords and ready to fight her. "Let's do this!"

I sprint towards her and we started exchanging blows. She swung down towards me with full force and I jump to the side barely dodging it.

“Seismic step!” I threw one sword at her and she jumped up way up in the sky preparing another attack. Using this moment, I closed the distance between us and clenched my fist as I soared towards her. “Knockout!”

I brought my fist into her abdomen and a purple rune covered her body in an instant. I put my face close to her startling her a bit and she just stared me in the eye as we descend down the ground.

"Nighty night~ Stupid princess~" I whisper as I gave her a smile and she suddenly fainted. I quickly brought her under me and placed my foot on top of her face. Using my seismic step skill, I sent her falling down the ground so fast, the impact caused another crater and I land a distance away from her as the wind sends me flying a bit.

“Huh, she’s not as strong as I thought if she fainted. The big boss is stronger than her.” I whisper to myself as I look at the big dust cloud she created. As soon as it dissipates, I see everyone else condition.

Daikichi was on the ground holding his arm. His arm was still intact but it seems like he got a wound big enough to immobilize him as I watch him in pain. Sawada overpowered Amaguchi and now he’s being held down as Sawada pushes his head to the ground. Goro tried to help Amaguchi but roots came out of the ground and pinned him down. Lisa that’s beside him is in the same position as they both struggle to try and break free. Suyeon also has roots covering her entire body preventing her from any movement as she lays flat on the floor.

“Daikichi!!! Let go of him!!” Kana ran towards Daikichi and Balo looks at her as she goes on a full sprint.

“Kana! Stop!” I yelled at her but she didn’t hear me and kept running towards Daikichi crying. Then all of a sudden, Junpei got in front of her and slapped her so hard Kana fell to the ground and her body stopped moving and bounced around like a rag doll. I was left speechless as I saw her not moving at all.

“K-ka-kan-“ I suddenly stopped talking as Junpei looks at me and gave me a smile.

“Yasu!! An eye for an eye! A tooth for a tooth!!” That’s when I lost it. Using my skills, I launched towards him and swung directly into his neck trying to decapitate him. I guess he didn’t notice me as he was still staring at the place where I was standing.

“Fucking die!!” I swung at full force intending to kill him on the spot.

Balo blocked my attack as he pushed Junpei to the side.

“Yasu! Relax! Let’s not fight!!” He yells as I jump back and clenched my fist as I let go both my swords.

“Tenderize!” I swung on his side exploding him right beside me. His body flew a few feet away only to land on his feet while grabbing his side. All of a sudden, something tackles me to the ground making me lose a bit of air.

“You bastard!!!” Junpei's yelling while trying to pin me down. I felt his fist hit my face, but my mind is all on Kana’s lifeless body. I swung towards Junpei that’s above me making him block my attack and the explosion sent him flying up the sky a few feet above me. I send another attack and he evaded this time using a skill to push himself to the side in mid-air. I quickly stood up and as I look around, all of them are surrounds me. Roots came out of the ground and looped at my arms and legs preventing me from moving a step. A bigger root came out of the ground and looped around my whole body tightening until it hugged me completely.

“Agrhhh!!!!” I shout as I struggle but the only thing I can move is my head. It felt like the root is absorbing my consciousness as it felt like slowly draining my energy away. “chef’s coat! Tenderize! Pound!!”

Even when shouting all of my skills, I still couldn’t move. “Overdrive!”

I started thrashing around as the overdrive skill helped me break the roots, but more roots came out the ground as the girl who hit me with a waterfall earlier struggled to keep up. Even with overdrive, it wasn’t enough as Daikichi shouts something causing my whole body to go numb.

“Fucking let me go!!” I yelled trying to keep my conscious and they all shouted something as more weird attacks held me in place. “Overdrive!!!!”

The roots around me started breaking again as I trashed some more. I didn't care what happens to my body afterward. The only thing that I thought about is getting to Kana and checking up on her. I trashed and thrashed around trying to get an arm free of the roots but they kept coming out of the ground as fast as I break them. I still felt like it’s draining my energy as it touches my skin even with the overdrive skill.

“G-guys! I can’t go any faster! He’s breaking the roots too fast!” The girl shouted and I glared at her as I tried to break free.

“All of you stop! Let him go!!” Ms. Sam says as she runs towards us from a distance coming from one direction with another girl behind her. She stops right in front of me and I see tears coming out of her eyes. “Let him go!”

She screamed but nothing, the girl who seems to be a mage is still pinning me down with her roots the best as she can. I felt my body suddenly weaken as the overdrive skill run out of juice and my head bobs forward.

“Yasu!” I hear Ms. Sam shouts and I tried my best to keep my conscious awake.

Junpei approached me swinging at my face. I literally didn’t feel anything even if my head was forced to the side by the impact of his punch. He tried to swing again only to be pulled back by Balo.

“Junpei! Fucking stop it!!” Balo shouted as he pushed him back.

“Why?! He fucking hurt Hiroko! She’s been looking for him all this time and this is how he repays her??!” He shouted back and I feel Ms. Sam tried her best to break off the roots as she cried in front of me. I felt my consciousness fades away as I tried to look at her.

repay? I asked in my mind as I felt a little bit of energy.

“Ha-ha Hahahahahaha!!!” I stopped struggling as I lift my head looking at all of them maniacally.

“What's so funny huh!? you fucking piece of shit?!” Junpei snarls at me as Balo tries to hold him back. “You deserve to die what you did to Hiroko!!! You fucking ass-“

SLAP!

Ms. Sam slapped him so hard he dazed out for a moment and the sound of her palm hitting his face kept me awake.

“All of you! Fucking let him go!!!” Ms. Sam shouted so loud it helped wake me up a bit. It was the first time I heard her curse, and everyone seemed startled for a moment. She turns towards me and tears streak down her eyes as she comes close. “Yasu, promise you won't go crazy. Please, stop trying to hurt each other.”

I don’t know why, but my head nods towards her even though it’s not my answer. I notice her smile towards me, and she turns to Akane who looks at Balo. Balo shouted something and all the sound around me was muffled. I see him pick up Daikichi

Let him go! I shouted in my mind as I didn’t even have the power to shout at them. One of their healers is by her healing her face. I remember her, I saw her in the dungeon when I fought the ogre king!

“Sam... That’s….Daikichi and Kana……over there. P-please…g-get that girl…..to help them.” I tell her as I feel my consciousness slowly fading away and she quickly turns around to look at Balo who’s carrying Daikichi like a prisoner. She sees Kana on the ground not moving and Ms. Sam went on a sprint towards her.

“Kana!!" Sam yells her name over and over but Kana wasn't responding. Everyone looked confused as Sam cries hugging kana's lifeless body. They probably didn't know we knew these people. "Kana! Wake up! Kana!”

Ms. Sam cried as she held her hands towards Kana and started healing her. But Kana isn't moving and hasn’t moved at all since Junpei hit her in the face. Balo, let go of Daikichi, who runs to Kana and drops to his knees as he cries begging Sam to heal her over and over again.

No….NO!!!!I yell in my mind but that’s all I can do.

I feel drunk and any moment now, I feel like I'll pass out but I’m holding on for as long as I can. I see them all slowly approach Ms. Sam and the one healing Hiroko ran towards her. I look at everyone from our side and they’re all rooted to the ground except that one kid that’s unconscious who has his back turned towards us so they probably didn’t get to see who he is. Miki ran where Kana is and all three healers are healing her trying their best. She’s too far away and I can’t see her condition. Junpei stands a few feet in back of them frozen and I can see in his expression he looked scared. I notice Hiroko slowly sitting up as the mage help her up. The same damn mage that bound all of us. Stella also is slowly sitting up after my skill wore out and she’s still trying to get a better understanding of her surroundings.

It’s their fault…I whisper in my mind as I slowly close my eyes. It’s their entire fucking fault…

Want me to fix it? Suddenly a voice came in my head.

“Can you?” I whisper to myself replying to the voice.

Duh, who do you think I am? The voice replied in my mind

“Then I leave everything in your hands.”

Roger that. Wait, how do you want me to take care of them? My own voice asked me in my mind as I fully close my eyes.

“Help my friends and…..Kill the rest. Kill them all.” I whisper to myself as I black out.

Suyeon’s POV

My body was rooted to the ground and I couldn’t move.

“Yasu! Yasu!” I kept shouting over and over but I see him slowly moving his head in a circular motion trying to stay awake. Everyone was rooted by that mage and its strong enough that even Yasu couldn’t break out of fast enough.

I look towards where Lisa is and I see her pinned down by the same roots. “Lisa!” I shout towards her and I see her try to turn her head my way. “Lisa! Are you okay?!”

“I’m okay! But Kana is not moving after that bastard hit her!! Please let us go!” Lisa begged but no one is hearing our voice. All we can do is watch them huddle around Kana as two healers with Miki-sensei tried to help her. All of a sudden, I see Yasu’s head drops as he lost consciousness.

“Yasu!!” I yelled his name as I look towards him as my eyes become watery.

Why?! Why did this happen!!!I shout in my mind as I watch everything fall apart. I felt helpless. I couldn’t do anything at all.

“Yasu!!! Wake up! Please!!!” I shout towards him but his head is not moving at all. The girl he hit earlier with the frying pan is slowly standing up as she holds her head. She quickly looks where he is and ran towards him.

“Yasu!” She runs but she suddenly trips as if her legs gave out the minute she took the first step. The guy who hit Kana caught her and helped her to her feet. Fury filled my core and I want to kick them over and over again with my skill leaving nothing but their remains.

“Argh!!!! Let me go!!!!” I shout at the top of my lungs and felt my throat scratching while I try to struggle but all I could do is move my head. A root grabbed my leg earlier and as I fell to the ground more roots came out pinning me down. It felt like the roots took all my energy and it was her to even move an arm. I’m on my chest and the roots are tight enough to leave no room for any movement at all.

“Yasu!!!” I shout his name trying to wake him up but, he hasn’t shown any form of movement.

Yasu! Please… wake up. I started crying feeling helpless. He helped me all this time and yet, I couldn’t return the favor.

"Please wake up," I whisper as I cry bringing my head down. I felt my tears escape towards the dirt below me as I sobbed in silence. “please. Don’t die-“

“Heeeeeeey!!! Santa fucking clause is here and it ain’t even Christmas!!!” I hear someone shout in a happy tone and as I look up, I see Yasu’s head moving in a circular motion like was doing exercise. Everyone looked towards him and I see the girl is trying her best to get away from the guy who hit Kana. But he held her in place preventing her from reaching Yasu.

“Yasu!!!!!” I yell his name and he looks my way giving me a smile. Yet, his smile is not the one I see him give to Kana or Daikichi, something feels different from the way he looks at me.

“Wowowee! Are we like trees or something? Why are we rooted?” He says looking down at himself. All of a sudden, the roots that are binding him ripped as he forces himself out of it. The mage that rooted us tried to root him again as he breaks the roots binding his foot with his bare hands.

“Watch out!” I shout and in an instant, he disappeared right before the root got ahold of him. Huh? Where did he g-

“Holy hell, you look like a plant~ Ah, not a plant but a beautiful flower~” I hear a voice behind me and suddenly I feel the roots come loose from my body as more air entered my lungs. The moment I’m free, I jumped on him hugging him and he stroke my back trying to comfort me which he had never done before.

“There there, it's ok now~ Mmm, you smell like sweat.” He says as I continued to hug him and cry. I let go of him and I notice his gaze is on the group that circling around Kana. Yasu’s eyes turned blue and he has a smile on his face I have never seen before. He looks at me and gave me a bigger smile. “Well, honey buns~ Give me a moment while I save everyone okay~”

I let go of him and he started walking towards Goro-sensei and Lisa. The mage tried to root him again but is as if it didn’t affect him as the roots broke while he moved normally. As soon as he got close to them, he began ripping the roots apart as if it was made of paper.

The mage seems like she ran out of power as she goes on her knees panting. Yasu looked at me and waved telling me to come over while keeping a happy expression. I ran and soon joined Lisa and Goro-sensei as we watch him move towards the group. The mage suddenly stood up and activated her skill again as more roots started appearing trying to bind all of us. Yasu quickly disappears only appearing right next to her. His hand moves swiftly grabbing her in the face and in an instant, he slammed her head into the ground.

Dust covered the area and it happened so fast no one had time to react. As I wait for the dust to disappear, I see two blue light swaying side to side. As it got close to the edge of the smoke, Yasu emerges out of the dust carrying Kana in his shoulder and dragging Daikichi towards us. Yasu dropped Kana a few feet in front of me and we all went to her. Goro-sensei quickly checked her pulse but it seems like he couldn’t find it. His hands started shaking as he looks around her neck and wrist going back and forth.

“Kana!” I yelled her name as I shake her body but she’s not moving. As the dust cloud disappears. Everyone looks around to be surprised we have Kana and Daikichi here. They all ran towards the mage whose body is halfway in the ground. Right at this moment, Miki-sensei and the girl called Sam ran towards us. I thought Yasu would attack them, but he just stood there looked down at Kana while yawning.

“Kana!!” Miki-sensei kneels down trying to heal her along with the other healer.

“Kana! Wake up! Kana don’t die on us!” Miki-sensei says and I see Yasu push them both aside to check for her pulse.

“Tsk. Her neck is broken. How hard did he slap you?” Yasu asked Kana while tapping on her cheeks. In a quick motion, he hit her neck and we all hear something snap in place. He lifted up his hand pointed his fingers down like a blade and in an instant, he stabbed her in the chest with his bare hands. Everything happened so fast we didn’t have time to react.

“No!!” Daikichi shouts as he charged at Yasu who in return, kicked him in the groin. Daikichi went to the ground out of breath and Yasu looked at us while Yawning.

"Hold him down," Yasu says as looks at me and I jump on top Daikichi preventing him from moving. Yasu brought his face closer to Daikichi while keeping his hand inside Kana. “Fucking relax~ She not dead yet but soon she will die. I need to massage her heart to prevent it from stopping or else, she’ll turn into a dusk goddess.”

The minute Yasu says that I felt Daikichi relax his body as he stops struggling and nods towards him. “C-can you heal her?”

"Yea, I need to jump-start her heart to have it beat again normally. And I just got the skill for it~ But please~ tell her not to do this again~ I can't be doing this so many times~ it takes out years off my lifespan~” Yasu replies as he sat down. “While I do this, might holding them off for a bit?~ I kinda have my hands full ya know~”

He points behind him and as we all look, I see the other group coming at us.

“I got this,” I tell him as I let go of Daikichi and walk towards the group. “3-step combo!” I shouted my skill and the three poses appeared in front of me. In a quick motion, I followed all the steps and kicked the one in front of them. He didn't have time to react as the skill propels me forward at high speed compared to when I first learned the skill. I guess the higher level it is, the better the reaction it gives. I hear him wince in pain as my foot lands on his abdomen and he went soaring hitting a couple of people on the way. One guy tried to swing at me with his fist and I easily dodge his swing as I sensed where he was coming from.

“Jump,” I whispered as I kicked him, and he went flying to another direction destroying the burnt trees from a distance. Suddenly, I notice something from my right and it’s the girl Yasu hit earlier with a frying pan. She’s holding a dagger trying to stab me on my sides.

“You evil bitch! Give him back to us!” She shouts at me and somehow, I can predict her movements. This has been happening since I got kidnapped by the bandits. Using my foot on the ground, I turned towards her while grabbing her wrist and pulling her closer to me as I rotate. She lost balance and with the momentum of my turn, I used my left elbow and aimed it towards her jaw.

“Ack!” She winced in pain as she fell to the ground. My elbow started stinging as it hit her in the tooth breaking it off her mouth. I felt liquid streak down towards my arm towards my wrist but I didn’t pay attention as I noticed another movement from my right.

Without looking, I kicked towards where I think he would appear and shouted my skill at the same time. “Jump!”

“Ack!” I hear him shout as he went soaring away from me.

I can predict their movements!I say in my mind happily as I look over where Yasu is. His arms are glowing green as white orbs come out of his chest and into Kana’s chest. All of a sudden, my vision became a blur as I was tackled to the ground. “Ah!”

“You fucking bitch! My tooth!” The girl I elbowed goes crazy as she slapped and tried to pull on my hair. She started swinging wildly but her punches felt nothing.

This is nothing compared to how my brother hit me. I say in my mind. I brought up my leg behind her and I slammed it towards the ground.

“Jump!” I shout my skill before hitting the floor and we both went soaring up the sky. My skill flipped us over and she was quickly under me flailing around as she fell towards the floor.

“Hey~” I call towards her and she looked at me as we fell towards the floor below. “You’re quite ugly with a tooth missing. Jump!”

I kicked her towards the ground, and she went soaring down the floor. Right before she hits the ground, the guy I kicked earlier came back and jumped catching her and they both went soaring down the floor.

“Ahh!” I flail my arms and legs around. But even that didn’t help as it only flipped me making me turn towards the sky. I closed my eyes and braced for impact but it never happened. I slowly opened my eyes and I see Yasu looking at me with his blue iris.

“Well, You’re kind of weak. Look at them, they went flying but they look unhurt~” He says as he looks at the people, I sent flying running towards the girl I kicked. We’re quite a few feet away from them and Yasu Jumped back towards where he left Kana. “Well, you did buy me time~ Good job honey buns!”

We somehow landed safely and the minute he sets me down, I quickly ran to Kana’s side. Miki-sensei and the other healer called Sam is focusing on healing the wound on her chest which has slowly closed up except the skin.

“Kana…” I whisper as I kneel beside her and I see her chest move up and down. “She’s breathing!”

“It’s all thanks to Yasu. Thank God he woke up.” Daikichi says crying beside me and we all surround her waiting for her to heal up.

I look back towards where Yasu is and I see him happily skipped around towards the other group. Their healer is focused on the girl I elbowed as her and the guy who caught her, we’re barely conscious. Remembering the wound, I got from hitting her mouth made my elbow sting, but I didn’t focus on it since I didn’t want them to notice. I want them to focus on healing Kana since she needs it the most.

“Yasu, where are you-“ Ms. Sam noticed him move and she suddenly stopped as Miki-sensei prevented her from going near them.

“Hey, you! The little bitch who got his heart broken! Come here!!” Yasu taunts him and he takes out his item bag to pull out a couple of two-handed hammers and held it in each hand.

Daikichi stood up and tried walking towards him, “Yasu let me help-“

I grabbed his hand shaking my head. For some reason, I felt like they shouldn’t get it his way.

“Let me ask you something! What makes you think this shit is a tooth for a tooth?! You fucking killed her!” Yasu shouted and the guy who slapped Kana didn’t say anything back this time. “Huh?! No answer?! Let me show you what it means an eye for an eye, a tooth for a fucking tooth! Let’s get this party started!”

Yasu jumps up towards the sky. In a split second, he descended down towards the group and they all jump to the side evading his attack. The ground erupted with just his swing sending debris flying everywhere. The wind from his attack was so strong it is making me cover my eyes with my arm. As soon as I got a better look, I see Yasu closed the distance between him and one of them in an instant. It was the same guy that slapped Kana. Yasu swung one of his hammers towards him and he didn’t have enough time to react. The hammer hit him in the stomach and Yasu kept going till he bashed him to the ground. The guy named Balo rushed at Yasu with both his swords only to be deflected like it’s child's play. Yasu brought both his hammer at full force towards him breaking his swords in pieces. He didn’t stop and kept going until the hammer hit him on the side and I notice Balo’s arm bends the wrong way before he was sent flying off to a distance.

“Two down! All of you to go!!!!” Yasu yelled as he runs towards one guy who started running towards the woods. He tripped him with his hammer and slammed down on his back bashing him on the ground.

“Y-Yasu! S-stop!!” The girl I bashed with my elbow runs towards him and Yasu dropped both his hammer and held out his hands towards him.

“Hahaha, you got no chance! You're ugly with a tooth missing!!!” He happily yells at her and she ran towards him. The next thing I know, he evaded her and grabbed her by the hair. She winced in pain as she got on her knees but Yasu didn’t care. He pulled on her hair dragging her across the floor towards the guy that slapped Kana. He threw her towards his side and she didn’t have time to react when he lodged his foot in her abdomen sending them both flying towards the trees with his kick.

“Since he wants you, there you go! Enjoy each other’s company!” Yasu laughed like a maniac and he turned his sight towards the last two remaining guys from the gold group. “Hi~ I remember you from Yasu’s memories~ Tobi was it? Sawada? Let’s fight like a man, with our fist!”

Both of them got a fighting position as Yasu hopped around with his hands near his chest like a boxer. In a split second, he stepped in front of the two and they tried their best swinging at him. Yasu dodged all of their attacks weaving side to side like a professional. He turns his hips as he extends his arms and his fist went through deflecting their punch making contact with one of them. His body suddenly flopped as Yasu jogged his head.

“One more to go! Come on Sawada~” He says and he circles him. Sawada tries his best to land a punch but Yasu evaded everything and countered him in the gut. Sawada grabbed his stomach as he got on his knees and I see him vomit on the ground. He kicked him down forcing his head towards the puddle of his own vomit.

“Yeeeees~ Eat your vomit~ Yasu did it once in his dreams~ Well it’s not his though~” Yasu sings as he looks at me and smiles. Then he lifted up his foot and stomped on his head while staring at me smiling. After that, he turned towards the healer that’s shaking on the ground as she watches her whole entire team annihilated by Yasu in an instant.

“Hey~ they’re not dead. But, you should get a move on or they will die from those injuries~” He tells her and she quickly looks around running towards the first person she sees as she cries and cries nonstop healing them. Yasu turned around and walked towards us. He turned a team upside down in an instant that we didn’t even have time to react to what was going on. He got close to us and somehow, I didn’t feel happy. I felt scared. We all didn’t move and everyone else with me probably felt the same thing.

“What happened everyone? Cat got your tongue?” Yasu asked us as he tilts his head sideways. His blue eyes went from one person to the next only to finish directly to me.

“Hey, I know you~ Let me tell you a secret~ Yasu is fond of you~,” He tells me as if he’s not Yasu which is making me confused. “Well, he just hasn't realized it yet.”

“W-w-who-“ Daikichi tried to ask but he stopped as soon as Yasu diverted his blue eyes towards him.

“Me? I’m…hmmm….I don’t know~” He tells him as he laughs and laughs. But the way he laughs is making me feel uncomfortable that I couldn’t help myself from breathing faster due to fear.

“Ah, times up. Would like to chat some more but, gotta go~ Oh, when I wake up, tell me I didn’t kill anyone causes its more fun that way~ Okay, byeee~” Yasu tells us as he waves happily. All of a sudden, his eyes closed as his body became lifeless falling to the ground.

“Yasu!” I yell towards him as I ran to his side and I tried shaking him awake but he didn’t wake up. I checked his breathing and placed my ear towards his chest. “H-he’s alive!”

Daikichi got near me and checked his pulse. I noticed his expression changed from fear to relief.

“Ughh…” I hear a voice behind me and as I turn, I see Kana slowly opening her eyes and the wound on her chest have completely healed.

“Kana!” Everyone shouted one after another and Daikichi helped her to sit up.

“What happened? Ah! Daikichi!” She suddenly remembered what happened and once she sees him, she hugs him and they both cried in each other’s arms.

“Ughhh” I hear another voice and when we look, we see Mamoru slowly waking up touching his head.

“Mamoru!” Amaguchi calls his name as he ran towards him and help him up.

“Guys, where are we?” He says as he looks around only to see destruction. “What is this place? Did we die?”

“No! We’re alive. We got out. While they’re knocked out, let’s get out of here!” Amaguchi shouts and everyone scampered to get up. I tried picking up Yasu but he was quite heavy. The girl named Sam tried helping me but I can see she’s quite shaken up since her legs gave out probably from shock to what just happened around her.

“Suyeon! Watch out!” Daikichi shouts as he ran for me looks directly at something behind me. The minute I turn around, I see a guy standing there. I was about to kick him when he picked up Yasu and threw him on his shoulder.

“Everyone! Let’s go! Follow me!” He says as he ran towards one direction and we all didn’t have a choice but to follow him. We’re all weakened and he’s running off with Yasu on his shoulder. I kept close behind him just in case he tries something funny as I see two swords on each side of his hips. We got further and further away from the havoc as we ran back towards where we came from passing to the other side. But as we left, I hear the healer from their group screaming over and over as she watches us all run away from her.

I couldn’t make out properly what she was saying but I think it’s a name. She kept screaming the name ‘Takumi’ over and over again until her voice disappeared altogether.
