CHAPTER 29: The overlords and the dark

She’s taking her sweet time walking towards me. A small jolt of purple electricity emitted around her and every step creates steam as if the soles of her boots are made out of lava.

“Final form? Huh, well what do you know. You’re not a weakling after all.” I whisper to myself as I sat up. A little bit of my energy regenerated, and I feel less pain towards my abdomen. I started walking towards her as a big smile plaster across my face. The adrenaline is rushing through my body and having to fight an ogre queen’s final form is making me excited.

I’m turning into a fighting maniac. I whisper in my mind as I watch her take one step after another. I kept my glare towards her and I see she’s in full set of armor. She shrunk down in size, but I think her strength probably tripled.

Ah, My swords. I say in my mind remembering that I lost my dragon slayer from the explosion earlier. “Item bag~”

I quickly take out the black sword I got from the other overlord and without waiting for her to make the first move, I ran for her and the minute she sees me sprint she did the same. I swung my sword sideways trying to cut her head off and she blocked it with her arm guards. The strength from my attack caused her to slide sideways and even in her final form, she seems to struggle a bit from my first attack. In an instant, she appeared right in front of me and I swing my sword upwards trying to meet her chin. Sparks flew in all direction as she blocked with her hand while flipping backward.

“Impatient aren’t you.” She tells me as she lands on her feet. In an instant, she materialized a fireball and the heat coming from it was too much as I tilt my head sideways barely evading it.

“I’m not the type of guy to wait~ Chefs coat!” I jump back on time as she tried to grab me from the back with her hand. She quickly sprinted towards me and her movement is faster than before, but it wasn’t something I couldn’t keep up with. I swung my fist towards her face clenching my hand as tightly as I can before shouting my skill, "Pound!"

She evaded jumping to the side and I can see her with a confused expression.

“Chef? You-" She looks at me and I can see her purple iris glow in contrast to her black sclera. "You're a blade?"

“Ah, you know about my legendary class.” I snarl back at her and she smiles at me like she just found out something interesting.

“It is you. The one who killed Rakh. No wonder that sword looked familiar.” She says as she brings her hand in midair.

Rakh? Who the fuck is Rakh? Her husband? The giant ogre?I say in my mind.

This time, she didn’t even chant anything. A rune just appeared and slowly two axes emerged out of it and landed into her palms.

“You’re a dangerous one. I can’t be careless around you like before.” She says and as she brings both axes down the ground. The swing of her axe exploded the ground and the whole place was filled with smoke. In a split second, the smoke was blown away as she disappeared in place. In an instant, she appeared before me like magic as she swung both her axe down trying to cut my arms.

“Seismic step!” I shout my skill and with a quick shift in weight, I flew to the side evading her attack as it erupted the ground covering everything with smoke. Like before, the smoke was blown away as she disappeared in place only to appear back where she started.

“You really are a dangerous one to be able to react to that.” She tells me.

“Me? I’m quite harmless.” I mock her but she pays no attention to it as she looks around trying to find something. I see her looking around and with one move of her finger; the dragon slayers emerged from the rubble and landed in front of me. “Let us fight fair, human.”

“Are you sure? Dumbass…It was fair with one sword…” I muttered to myself as I picked up the dragon slayer. “Well then, let’s skips the conversation, shall we?”

She got on a stance ready to attack me and I also do the same. I took a step towards the right and she did the same till we both ended up doing a full circle. She suddenly jumped lurching forward and I see her swinging her other axe towards my side. I quickly deflected it and using a bit of my strength while carefully shifting my weight, I push the other axe away getting ready to parry the other one that’s coming from another direction. We swung at each other non-stop deflecting each and every attack as sparks flew everywhere.

“Tenderize!” I shouted my skill as I clench my hand on the hilt of the sword while swinging towards her face. She dodged my punch and using her right leg, she shifted her weight back into position as she continued swinging at me. We got into a heated battle sending spark flying everywhere with the contact of our weapons while I send punches her way and she reciprocated with fireballs.

“Hahahahahahaha! This is the fight! human!" She shouted in ecstasy as she bombards me with attacks. But somehow, I can see she’s having a hard time underneath her crazed expression.

This….is…. I say in my mind. If it was in the very beginning, I wouldn’t be able to follow through her attacks and probably would have gotten slashed when she teleported earlier. But ever since I fought some humanoid looking cheetahs in the hidden dungeon, her movements are slow compared to them. I can see her attacks clearly and easily predict her next move. And somehow, it made it boring to fight her.

I timed every attack and directed the weight of her swing slightly away from me.

“Urgh!!!” She let out a sound and I notice she is getting faster and faster.

KICK!

“Guak!” She shouts in pain as I land a hit in her abdomen with my foot. Her body flew out towards the direction of my kick as she went straight for the wall exploding it.

Well, I didn’t expect her to go flying…I say in my mind as I watch her crash into some rubble.

“Hey Ogre Queen, your husband seems stronger than you. You’re….kind of….weak.” I taunt her and I can see her face contorts in anger.

Good, get mad. If you’re mad, you won’t be able to think properly. I say in my mind as I get myself ready just in case she teleports again. Like reading her mind, she disappeared again, and I quickly jump to the side expecting her to appear in front of me. Having my theory about her teleportation skill, she appeared where I was and was surprised, I reacted before she appeared. She quickly shifts the weight of her axe and swings sideways. Using the overlord’s sword, I swung down as hard as I can and her axe went straight to the ground lodging in place.

“Well, hello there~” I whisper right close to her face and she quickly disappeared. She appeared in her original position and I can see her face starting to show weakness.

“You’re not human. No human has ever deflected my teleportation attack before. What are you?” She asked me as she started stepping towards her right. I step towards my right matching hers and we both are circling each other again.

“Me? I’m a new breed. Actually, I’m not even a fighter. Unless you forgot, but I’m a cook~” I tell her with a smile.

“Hahahaha, you are a jokester. Well then human, how about you join me?” She says.

“Bingo~," I say stopping in pace and she does the same.

“Bingo?” She asked me.

“Hahahaha its nothing~ Join you? How about a no?” I tell her raising an eyebrow.

“Don’t be cocky human. I can easily eliminate your puny exista-”

“haha sure~ seismic step!” I shout while rushing towards her. I swung straight down with all my strength on the dragon slayer and this time, rather than dodging, she tried to deflect it only to be brought to her knees. I quickly jump up above and prepared the next attack. “Heavens Slice!”

“Rakuban Tarakbira!” She shouted as she swung up to me trying to deflect my attack. I notice both of her axes glowed purple and see her struggle to even swing her axe upwards. Our attacks exploded on impact. And blew everything away. It sent me flying back up towards the ceiling and I can see her jump out of the way as I send another one her way. I pointed the tip of my sword towards her while planting my legs on the ceiling of the cave.

“Pierce~” I whisper my new skill and the tip of my sword glowed. Using my legs, I blasted off the ceiling and came rushing down towards her with speed leaving a trail of light. She instantly disappeared as my sword went straight into the ground as I stabbed it like butter. In an instant, the area around me exploded creating a crater with a hole on the center.

What a dumb skill.I whisper in my mind as I see her appear in a distance.She’ll teleport back here any minute.

"Pound~" I whisper my skill and I swung where I last have seen her. She disappeared and suddenly appeared in front of me as my fist lodge in her abdomen.

“Ack!” She groans in pain as my punch sends her flying to a wall. It erupted crumbling down exposing the hollow inside where if I remember, the gatekeeper used to be. But this time, the place was riddled with stalactites properly illuminating everything.

Cough*

“You, how did you-“

“How did I what? Predict your position? Seriously? Are you retarded? It clearly shows me you keep teleporting back in place.” I mock her while walking towards her. “You know, you’re really weak. I expected this fight to be epic.”

“You damn human. How dare you-“

"Blah blah blah blah, you fuckers like to run your mouth when you're about to lose huh," I tell her and I stop right in front of her. She jumps back trying to gain distance but I didn’t let her.

“Tenderize~” I whisper and my hand glowed red. I swung towards her as she jumped and my attack only sends her flying towards another wall.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

Once the smoke subsided, I see her body lodged in the wall and she slowly came off falling to the ground.

Cough*

She sees me approach her as I left my sword stabbed on the ground. I see her look up glaring at me with hatred but I can see a bit of fear masked within her expression. This time she didn't get up as she coughed out blood and one of her hands is covering the wound on her chest. I actually blew off her armor and shredded her clothes to pieces.

“You damn human!!” She shouted and I can see her spitting blood everywhere. She removed her hands off her chest exposing herself and I can see her fist glow purple.

"Huh, you got the same attack as me? Well, this should be fun~" I whisper as I kept advancing towards her. She swung a fist my way and a purple light came out turning into a fireball. "Well shit, that was anticlimactic. Chef's coat~"

Using the back of my left hand, I swat her fireball away like it was nothing. She kept sending one after the other and it was so weak I didn’t even feel it burn my skin. Using my skill, I quickly dodge everything while closing the distance between us. I grab her by the wrist pulling it up. Using little force, I punched her elbow joint and I can see it snap the wrong way.

“Aghrrrh!!!” She screamed in pain as I let go of her broken arm.

“Oh? You are a bit strong after all. That attack didn’t sever your arm off.” I tell her as I look into her eyes. I can see black tears coming out briefly as her face is mixed with hatred and pain. “Hmmm, what if I bend this?”

I say as I put pressure on her arm forcing it to bend more the opposite way.

“ArghhhhhhhaaahhhH!!! Stop it-“

I grabbed her by her mouth muffling her voice and using all my strength, I smashed her head to the ground.

"Oh what, you like it ogre queen? It would be my pleasure!!" I shouted as I picked up her hand and slammed it down the ground over and over again until I saw some of her teeth break off her mouth.

She tried to swing at me with her left hand and I quickly grab it and held it in place with my right.

"You are a boring enemy," I whisper on her ear. Then I pulled her head back and using a decent amount of force, I bashed her head one more time against the ground creating a bigger crater as her head lodge inside. I pulled her up and her face looks like a warzone. A lot of her teeth are missing and her nose is broken bending the wrong way. Thinking she’ll start begging for her life, she opened her eyes and looked at mine while smiling.

“Just…..you… wait. The other overlords will kill you.” She muffles to me and I gave her a smile sinister enough to make her complexion pale. I let go of her head and walked towards the sword I lodged in the ground earlier. I slowly pulled making sure she hearts the blade unsheathing from the ground.

“The other overlords you say?” I ask her but I can see her gaze towards the sword. She quickly lit up another fireball on her remaining hand and tried throwing it at me. Using seismic step, I close the distance between us while dodging her attack and in one clean swing; I cut her hand off from her wrist. She screamed as I see her bleed everywhere.

“You damn human! You damn human-" I grab her by her hair interrupting her from screaming.

“Since you like to fly so much, let me do it deliberately this time. Fly ogre queen, fly!~” I sang as I yanked her hair. Using all my strength, I pulled on her hair and swung her around.

“A-ah! S-stop! sto-" She tried begging but suddenly stopped as her hair rips off her head. I hear her scream in pain as she flies out of my grasp out towards the main cave.

"Well, she's going to be mad being bald," I whisper as I walk out the cave dropping her hair on the ground. As soon as I got out, I see her on the ground bleeding. Both her arms are immobilized and I can see her trying to stand with just her legs.

“Ogre queen~ what’re you up to?” I shout out as I approach her. She quickly looks at me and I can see her struggle more trying to stand up.

“Y-you! You’re not human!” She screams at me.

“Me? I’m human. I’m really a human~” I tell her as I slowly get closer where she’s at. I see her on her knees and when she’s about to stand up, I whispered in her ear.

“I wouldn’t stand if I were you. That would make me want to cut your legs off~”

She froze in place and didn’t even bother looking at me, as I got right in front of her.

“I-I- b-beg-“

“Please don’t beg ogre queen~ the ogre king begged and I ended up skinning him alive." I interrupted her. "Let's skip these sappy moments, I need information. Maybe you can help me out."

“W-what do you want to know?” She asked me without looking at my face.

“Hm, just a minute ago you were throwing fireballs at me. Now, you look like a puppy waiting to be pet." I tell her as I pet her head. I can see she’s bleeding all over the place and her breathing is getting heavy. “Ok give me a minute, I need to stop the bleeding~ Sky King's Breath~," I whisper before blowing hot air into my sword. I kicked her to the ground and using the hot part of the dragon slayer, I touched the severed section of her hand burning it shut.

“Arghhhh!!!!!! Stop!!!” She shouted in pain and tried to squirm but couldn’t do anything as I sat on top of her.

“Rakubrua-“

“Attack me and that’s when you head flies off. Bear it ogre queen, I’m making sure you don’t die~” I tell her as I look at her in the eye and I feel her body shaking but she stopped chanting and even tried to muffle her own voice. After burning her open wound, the bleeding has stopped but I can see she looks out of energy already.

“Hey~ You alive?” I ask her lightly slapping her cheeks and she nods in agreement while breathing. “About the other overlords. What the fuck is that?”

“huah* hah*…cough….cough*….There is a-an overlord….cough* …council made by a group of strong demons….each overlord control an area and was made...cough* cough*… as the sole purpose of joining Luro on the beyond.” She tells me.

Join luro? Why the hell does everyone wants to join him?I say in my mind.

“Where is Luro?” I asked her getting right to the point.

“I-I have no knowledge of his whereabouts.” She tells me weakly as she pants in place.

“You’re not lying to me are you?” I whisper in her ears.

“N-no I’m not. T-the only one who knows where Luro is probably the one who created the overlord council. Rank 1 overlord, Unum.”

“Other overlords? You mean there are more overlords?” I ask her. “Where’s Unum?”

“N-no one …knows. We only see him on council meets.” She tells me and I can see her struggling to stay awake. I can notice her breathing slowly returning to normal which probably means she's slowly healing or gaining her strength. Even if she's without arms, I need to be careful around her. One careless mistake can lead to my death. She is still my enemy.

"You don't know anything do you..." I tell her and she didn't respond. "Us? So you're an overlord? Hahaha, no use of hiding you bitch. Answer my question or I'll kill you right here."

“Y-Yes. I’m an overlord. But don’t rejoice you reduced me to this state. I’m also one of the weakest.” She tells me as she looks towards my way locking her eyes with mine.

“Reduced you to this state? What? This is all you got?” I asked her while raising an eyebrow. “I only kicked you and punched you. Didn’t you power up or something earlier? What was it? Ah~ ehem…* Human, congratulations. You made me show my final form...pfft~ look at you know~ ”

I guess she’s too focused on regenerating and she shows no sign of care to my mockery.

“I used all my strength behind every swing but you deflected them like it’s child play.” She tells me.

I thought those were normal swings…I say in my mind.

“Hmm, I guess I'm far stronger than I think," I say to myself looking at my palms. “Hmmm, maybe I’m overpowered now in this world.”

"That is why we should join forces. With your strength, we can slowly raise the ranks and beat all the overlords." She tells me.

“Pfft! Now, why would I go and do that?!" I asked her and she didn't respond.

This bitch stopped breathing hard. Be careful Yasu. I tell myself in my mind.

"Ogre queen, why do you think you keep asking me to join you? You know you can't beat me. You knew from the beginning. Also, I did, the minute you asked me that question."

“Wh-what?” She asked looking confused.

"You see, it's the nature of living things with an intellect such as you and me to try and survive. If you can't beat them, either get them to join you or join them. That's why you keep asking me to join you. Because you know that you will never beat me. Bingo~”

I laughed but she just lay there doing nothing. “You, what rank are you from the overlords?”

"I'm waiting," I tell her gripping my sword tightly and showing it to her.

“I-I- I’m the last rank. Rank eight of the overlord council.” She tells me without looking me in the eye.

“Last rank?! Hahaha, that means you're weaker than the one inside the hidden dungeon! Wait, don’t tell me the giant husband of yours is also an overlord?”

“He is not an overlord. Only I’m given the title of an overlord.” She tells me.

“Who’s Rakh you mentioned earlier? And how do you get the title?” I asked her.

“Rakh is overlord rank 7. The one you fought in the hidden dungeon. And to get the title of an overlord, Unum has to bestow it upon you.” She tells me.

“Hmm, so I got to find out where Unum is to find Luro," I mutter to myself thinking.

Now I got a lead and can continue. The faster I kill Luro, the faster I get home. Since she can’t give me any more information, now is the time to decide what to do with her. I say in my mind.

“I-If you don’t want to join forces. T-then let me join you.” She said suddenly.

“Join me?” I asked. This is the first an actual enemy wanted to join me instead. “Hmmm, that’s not a bad idea.”

I whisper and I see her eyes lit up with hope. But in reality, I either will leave her to bleed to death or kill her after this. An enemy is always an enemy.

"Hey, how do we do that council meets?" I asked her but she didn't respond. “hey~”

She looked like time stopped for her. She didn’t blink. She didn’t move. She didn’t breathe.

“Oh shit. Hey, did you just fucking pass out?” I shout slapping her face but nothing. Yet, the way she stares into nothing makes me feel like there is something off. She looks like she just froze in place and stared at the ceiling. I moved to the side but her gaze didn't follow me and just stared in mid-air.

“What the-“

"You who are eliminating my council members." She started speaking but her voice got deep as if she was possessed by a demon.

Ah, I see how it is. I whisper in my mind.

"Ha, a demon possessing a demon," I whisper and her head suddenly turned my way but the expression on her face never changed. "Let me guess, you must be Unum."

The minute I mention his name, the ogre queen’s face put on a smile that’s not physically possible. I hear her jaw cracking as it dislocates in place. Then it hanged down her face completely leaving her mouth wide open that big enough for both my fist to fit in.

“Yes, I know who you are. Yasu.” Even though I don’t see her mouth move, I hear a voice coming out.

“Well, aren’t you well informed? Say, where are you? Where’s luro?” I asked but no response.

“In due time we will meet, Yasu." The voice came out and out of nowhere, the ogre queen started convulsing and screaming. She exploded into pieces splattering me with blood and flesh.

“Fucking hell…” I shout as I try to wipe the blood off my face. “Bastard exploded her.”

I sat around to see if the ogre queen would return back to normal just in case she has regenerative abilities like the ogre king but nothing. Her flesh is still scattered around everywhere.

Well, let me collect whatever I can cook.I say in my mind.

I started walking around and picking up the flesh of the ogre queen. She really erupted into tiny pieces and I only managed to grab a few handfuls of chunks of meat before I decided to give up.

“Fuck, it’s like I’m collecting minced meat. This shit will take forever if I try to get everything.” I say as I store in my bag whatever chunks I got. I started looking around the room to see where my dragon slayer dropped and I found the ogre queen’s two axes in the process.

Hmm, seems weaker than the dragon slayer. Might be still useful or maybe has some value. I say in my mind. I put the axe away in my bag along with my dragon slayer. Since the portal is broken, there’s no way I can go out from this side. I check the whole area and there is no hidden chest or whatsoever so I decided to walk towards the safe zone.

I wonder if she woke up.I say in my mind as I walk back.

"Wait, I need to get gatekeeper ashes," I say rushing back.

But there’s too much dust and rubble that it was to know which is the gatekeeper and which is dust. Inspect doesn’t work so I decided to just head back.

“You’re so lucky you damn witch stick," I whisper to myself as I walk back empty handed.

You have entered a safe zone.

I quickly approached where she was knocked out and I see the food, potion, and the clothes were all gone along with her.

“Don’t tell me…” I whisper to myself as I approach the room where the hidden entrance is. “Huh, nothing. Where the hell did she go?”

I went back out towards the circular room and that's when I noticed light coming from the door where my old room used to be. As I enter, I see some torches scattered around illuminating the dark path. I walked further until I reached the other door and the minute I got in, I see her sleeping near a few torches.

“What the fuck, how can you sleep so soundly. Still baffles me how these torches never go out unless you put it out." I mutter to myself as I walked towards her. I squat next to her and I can see her breathing normally. “Wakey wakey~”

I slapped her awake and her eyes went wide in shock while looking around the room disoriented from being woken up abruptly. Her gaze slowly focused on me and I can see her eyes get a bit teary.

"Good morning~," I say trying to smile and wave at her. But she looks at my hand and see’s bloodstains which I got from picking up the ogre queen flesh. This probably scared her as she quickly bolts towards the dark corner of the room.

“Not this again," I say as I walk towards where she ran off.

I don’t have time for this.I say in my mind.

"Hey, witch stick. Listen, I don't have time to babysit you. I got better things to do that force you to come out of here. If you want to stay here, be my guest. I'm leaving. But know the fact that I did try to get you out and didn’t abandon you. I’m not like them.” I tell her before turning around heading towards the hallway.

I’m not like them. I’m not leaving her, she chose to stay. But something in my mind keeps repeating over and over again and my heart is tightening.

“Fuck!” I shouted as I turned around and I feel something bump into me.

“Ah!” she yelps faintly as she fell on her ass.

Was she following me this whole time?!I shout in my mind surprised I didn’t even notice her.For all I know, she could have easily stabbed me.

“Fucking say something next time!!” I screamed at her and she flinched with her eyes closed like she’s waiting for me to hit her.

What the fuck. I say in my mind.

"You're the one who made me fall," she mumbled saying something but I quickly turned around and started walking. Since I know she’s behind me following, I’m more aware of her existence and it’s making uncomfortable.

“Dammit. You come here.” I say turning around startling her. “Must you become surprised every damn time?”

“W-what?” She stutters.

“I don’t like people walking behind me. Walk in front of me towards that room and I’ll follow behind you.” I tell her.

“B-but..I-I’m-“ She tells me stuttering.

“You’re what? Just go.” I tell her and she slowly walked towards the room where the tiny pond is located. As she walked, she slowly steals glances at me every now and then, which I paid no attention to. Once we got to the room, she started looking around and somehow her face expression changed. It reminds me like I'm staring at a dead fish. I pay no attention to her and started inspecting the waterfall.

"So if I just break this…ok, stand back-" The minute I turn around I see her standing there without her clothes looking at me with her dead fish expression. "What the fu-“

“Just get it over with!” She screamed at me closing her eyes. I can see her body shaking. We both stood in place for a minute and not once she opened her eyes to look at me.

“What in the actual fuck are you doing?” I tell her and she quickly looked at me with tears in her eyes.

“Y-you. You brought me here knowing there is no exit. They bring me to rooms when there is no exit because of…o-of that.” She points down towards my private part. Then I remembered how I found her. She must have had a tough time.

Sigh*

"Look. I'm not here to do any of that shit. Put your clothes back on. All I was going to say is stand back unless you want me to punch you with the wall?" I tell her raising an eyebrow and she quickly dressed up with fear in her expression.

“W-what are you going to-“

"Pound," I say my skill interrupting her. I swung towards the wall as hard as I can and it created a crater enough to form large cracks on it. I look at the water gushing through a lot stronger and as I was about to punch it again, the wall started crumbling exposing the other side.

“I really got strong huh…” I whisper to myself remembering how I struggled to even destroy it a year ago. “What the hell is this?”

The other side of the wall looks completely different. The stream of water was actually coming from a canal on the ground and the whole area is a long dark hallway rather than a dark cave.

“So Luro changed this also?” I whisper to myself as I walk out.

You have exited a safe zone.

“Item bag.” I took out a stalactite to use as my light source since the area is as dark as I remember. “Well then, time to go see sunlight, sick and tired of this darkness.”

I started walking through the darkness. And I hear her scamper to get behind me. I abruptly stop and she bumps in my back.

“Ah!” She yelped as she rubs her forehead.

“Don’t you look where you’re going?” I snarl at her and she just glared at me.

What? She’s mad? She’s the one who bumped into me!I scream in my mind.

"You, witch stick, walk in front," I order her and I can see her expression is getting worse. But at least it's not the same as the dead fish one she had.

“My name is Suyeon, you fuck.” I hear her mumble and it’s making me want to leave her in the dark.

But instead, I had a conversation in my mind. If you do that, you’re no better than them. After she’s out, bring her to a town and leave her ass there.

But she deserves to be left in the dark. Remember she made you blind.

Yes, I know but I rather bite my tongue and not say anything than leave her like what they did to me.

We walked through the hallway non- stop. It seems like she's tired or thirsty but never said anything so I didn't act on it. I don't know how long have we been walking but she suddenly collapses.

"Hey," I say as I walked towards her side. “Dead fish, You alive? What the fuck is wro-“

I suddenly stop as touch her forehead and it felt like a hot stone. Fever. This chick has a fever.

“Great. Just goddamn great.” I say as I see her breathing hard.

“I-I’m s-sorry.” She whispers as she tries to stand but somehow she having a hard time. “Huh? I-I can’t move.”

“Hahaha, I had fever back on earth before, stop playing around," I tell her as I stand up.

“N-no. I-I really can’t move!” She screamed at me and I can see worry and fear in her eyes. I decided to test her and started walking away to see if she would stand up and follow me. But All she did was muffled cries and I see her struggle trying to just lift up her upper body from the ground.

She’s not joking. I whisper in my mind while letting out a sigh.Why is this girl so much trouble to just get outside? What is she? The origin of bad luck?

I walked back towards where she is and as I got close, she looked up to me with tears on her eyes.

“P-please, don’t leave me.” She stutters as she tried to hold back her tears but I can see her eyes already full of water ready to run down her cheeks.

I picked her up throwing her ragdoll body over my shoulder.

“W-what are you-" she tried to say something.

“Would you shut up?” I say over my shoulder. She really can’t move, her arms swayed around like a ragdoll. “Fucking hell. This is the most I have done to help someone. Fucking hell.”

I carried her on my shoulder but I don’t know if it’s because of her body but I started feeling hot also.

I don’t know how long I was walking in that dark hallway but I finally made it out. After reaching the end of it, we arrived at a cave. There was a giant pond in the center that glowed blue the minute we approached it. I see the bottom is filled with blue crystal stalactites making the water crystal cyan color. I set her down near the water and let her rest while I inspected around the cave to see if there’s another path since it seems like a dead end. I glance back towards her and I see her breathing is starting to stabilize.

“Is she sleeping?” I whisper as I observe her from a distance. “This girl is fucking sleeping. Wow. How can you sleep at a time like this?”

Since it’s useless to have her awake, I let her sleep and approached a wall towards the far right. I notice something was carved within the rocks. A man is holding a sword fighting a crab with a rat’s upper body.

Wait, is that me? I say in my mind as I remember I fought a crab rat in here. I look more into the design and I see the same man with the sword drowning and a hand is pulling him out of the water.

"So someone pulled me out of the water," I whisper. "Luro. He’s the first one I saw when I woke up. Well what do you know, that demon has a conscience after all.”

I kept on observing the design until I got towards the end and words are carved into a box.

“Perdere Omnia?" I whisper reading the inscription. Once I read it, the words lit up the same color as the crystal under the water. Then the whole place started shaking violently as the wall with the inscription crumbled exposing a dark beyond. But the shaking never stopped. And I think I know why.

If I remember correctly, I used to take Latin classes when I had the time and, Perdere Omnia are Latin words that translate to, destroy everything. I stood around looking at torches light up one after another exposing another hallway on the other end.

“Destroy everything huh. I wonder how-“ My body went rigid as I see the hallway where we came from slowly being eaten by a black hole.
