CHPATER 28: Yasu Vs. The Ogre Queen

I clench my fist as I tried to control my breathing. I can feel her pacing in front of me as I keep my back leaning near the wall I flew towards earlier.

Probably waiting for me to make a move. Fuck.I say in my mind.

The ‘ashes of a gatekeeper' blinded you. You must rinse your eyes with a healing potion to regain your vision.

The same notification keeps appearing every time I open my eyes yet the black background never disappeared. No matter how hard I rub them, nothing.

"Chef's Coat," I whispered and I can hear my own skill vibrating as it activates. Facing an enemy blind, I can't carelessly attack unless I'm sure I'll hit her. Just in case she comes after me; I'll have something to absorb some of the impacts.

The wall behind me erupted in place sending me flying forward. “Shit!”

I brace myself for impact as I place my hand in front my face hoping that I don't get impaled into something.

“Ack!!! Argh!!” I wince in pain as I skip around the ground like a flat stone on water. I finally stopped on my back with my arms over my head protecting it. I feel my back got burned off a bit. It’s completely exposed as I feel the ground touching my bare skin. “What hell-“

“Hello, human.” The Ogre Queens voice was right above my head.

“Seismic step!” I quickly stand up and I sprint towards one direction away from where I was. I can’t see where I’m going but if I can get a good amount of distance away from her, it would be impossible for her to not make a sound if she ever comes close. I kept running till my body actually crashed into a wall at full speed.

“Argh!!!” I shout in pain as I fell back from the impact. Luckily my chef’s coat reduced the damage by half preventing me from knocking myself out or breaking any bones.

“Why do you run into a wall, human?” A voice whispered into my ear disrupting my thoughts. I felt her pick me up throwing me in midair and in a couple of seconds, I came crashing down the ground. “Human, you are blind yet you enter my dungeon. You have some guts.”

“Hah, I was on my way out, Ogre Queen.” I snarl back at her as I feel her voice behind me.

“Feisty human. But how sure are you that I’m the queen of ogres?” I can hear her voice circling around me as I sat still trying to detect her movements.

I can’t hear her movements at all. Is she a ghost?I say in my mind.

“Let's just say that I have my sources," I reply to her while remembering the other dungeon. If in there is the ogre king, then definitively Luro put the Ogre Queen in this one.

I need to find a way to get out of this. Think Yasu! Think!I say in my mind.

“Oho, and who told you such information?” She asked me and I hear her voice right behind me. I quickly jump forward turning around and suddenly I felt something in my back like a soft wall. I feel her hand on top of my shoulder as she leans in to whisper in my ear, "Look at your companion, limping towards the hallway after falling down. Hmm, let's see. Arukaran debaluka!”

“Ahhhh!!!” I hear a scream from a distance, and it got louder and louder up until I hear a thud right beside me.

“Now, you both should be together.” I can feel the Ogre Queens breathing right beside me and it’s getting me frustrated not being able to see.

Fuck, this is not good. This is fucking bad.I say in my mind.

I’m completely blind, the new girl beside me is probably useless, and we’re both right in front of the dungeon boss. I don’t know where the exit is let alone where the portal is. I’m going crazy thinking of a solution out of this mess. But nothing, nothing is coming up in my head.

“Now, why are you both frozen? Scared?” The Ogre Queens voice is circling me again and I can feel the new girl placing herself close to me. "This isn't what I expected. I was thinking of a strong adventurer trying to face me but this is unexpected. A blind one and a naked one, what a nice combination."

Fuck! If only I could see!I shout in my mind and I started feeling agitated.

“Come humans. I don’t have all day~” The ogre queen says and didn’t even give us a window to reply before she starts talking. “I’ll give you two time to be alone since your partner here is looking at you with such intensity. Once you’re ready, call out to me. Try not to run away humans, it will be just a pointless task.”

I hear the ogre queen's voice fades away as she says the last line. “Shit. Fucking hell. You stupid stick. Why did you fucking blind me?”

I can feel her breathe right beside me as she whimpers to herself like a puppy.

“Fuck Fuck Fuck this is the worst situation I’ve been since getting out. Hey, you there?!” I shouted and I can hear her scuffle a bit away from me.

Is she a fucking mute? No, it can't be. I heard her scream.I say in my mind.

“You, don’t you want to survive?” I ask in a low voice but I’m starting to get frustrated at the lack of her response. “Fucking hell!!! Say something!!”

I waited for her to respond but nothing, “Fuck. Don’t you know how to fucking talk? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Don’t tell me that bitch ran off to-“

“I’m not a bitch. I’m…not…” she replied interrupting me. Her voice was so close almost catching me off guard.

“Whoa! I thought you were a mute! Oh my goodness!” I mocked her and yet, I clenched my fist wanting to punch her straight in the mouth.

“I-I’m not mute." She replied to me and I can hear her voice getting louder as what I said is probably getting into her nerves.

“Pwahaha, whatever you say, witch stick.” I snarl back and after that nothing. I listened around and kept activating my chef’s coat skill bracing myself just in case the Ogre Queen comes back.

“Su-yeon.” She says in a low voice.

“What? What did you say?” I asked as I tried to look for the source of her voice.

“My name is Su-Yeon. Not witch stick.” She tells me.

“Ohhhhh!!! You got a name also! My goodness!! Ok then Su-Yeon, tell me, why the fuck did you blind me?” I whispered at her yet she didn’t give me a response frustrating me even more. “Turning into a mute again huh. I should have left you burnt you fucking ungrateful prick. Answer this dumbass, what does the ogre queen look like?”

“B-big.” She replied.

“Don’t you know how to form a proper sentence?” I asked getting pissed off at her one-word answers. “Do you see the portal?”

“No.” she replied back.

Ah. Fuck. The explosion earlier. I was standing near it. She must have aimed for the portal.I say in my mind.

“What’s the ogre queen doing?” I asked.

“Nothing.” She replied again before going back to silent mode.

“Fucking one-word replies," I whisper to myself. "Item bag. Do you see where it dropped? Grab my hand and guide me to it."

She didn't respond but just grabbed my hand roughly and placed it on top of my bag.

Finally.I say in my mind, as I blindly grab a bottle out.

"Keep track on what she's doing," I say to her but she didn't respond. "What color is this?" I asked holding out a bottle. I had to make sure it’s a potion. Luckily I found some in the hidden chest in the Sky King’s dungeon.

“Red.” She replied. I quickly open the bottle and slowly tilted it above my face. But instead of one drop, the contents gushed into my face as I coughed from feeling it go into my nose. I tried not to scream out of frustration, but the potion started to sting my eyes. and it felt like I squeezed a full lemon with hot sauce into my eyeballs. I quickly blink trying to subdue the pain but it never went away so I kept my eyes closed.

“Here! Drink this! Heal your fucking foot!” I shout as I held out the leftover potion in the air. She roughly grabbed the bottle out my hand and I hear her gulp it like she hasn't had a drink for days. After she finished, I hear bottle went clattering to the ground.

Not even a thank you. She’s really testing my patience.I say in my mind. After a couple more seconds, I feel the stinging sensation slowly dissipates and I slowly open my eyes.

Eyesight is currently being restored. Restoration time: 2hrs 45minutes.

! You’ve got to be kidding me!!I shout in my mind and I can feel my heart beating faster. I have a phobia with losing my vision since a year ago and being completely blind in front of a dungeon boss doesn’t help.

Ok. Ok. Calm down Yasu. Think, thi- wait, the safe zone! Monsters can’t get in the safe zone!I whisper in my mind but my happiness quickly disappeared.But how do I get back?

“Hey you, witch stick you there?” I whispered and she didn’t respond. "Goddammit. Did that fucking cunt leave?”

“Su-Yeon. My fucking name is Su-Yeon.” She finally replied making me want to shove a handful of gatekeepers ash into her eyes and mouth.

"Well, who gives a fuck what your name is. I'm sure that fucking ogre queen won't give a fuck." I tell her getting irritated. "Now answer me this, do you see the entrance to the hallway?"

“Yes.” She replied back

“Ok, now, is she bigger than the entrance?” I whispered trying to keep my voice low so the ogre queen doesn’t hear.

“Yes, she is." She replied back to me.

“Ok, ok, we have to make a run for it. Once we get in the hallway, she won’t chase us through since she won’t fit. You have to guide me.” I tell her.

“Why?” Her question just wants me to go explode with rage.

“Did this fucking bitch just asked me why?" I accidentally said what's in my mind out loud. “Look. You might want to die and all but I sure as hell don’t.”

"Dammit! Do you see that ogre queen? She won't kill you. They don't kill people. They kidnap them and torture you until you grow old." I say to her. I don’t really know what they but I need to scare this girl or else she’s going to get me killed along with her. I know I’m strong enough to handle the ogre queen since I killed the king but being blind while fighting a dungeon boss is suicide even for the strongest person alive. I can’t hit what I can’t see. I can’t damage what I can’t hit.

“Wh-“ She tried talking and I decided to interrupt her with more bullshit.

"Yes, they do. I remember passing a town to get out this dungeon, they told me they kidnapped a girl from their town and even torturing her up to now." I tell her.

Come on. Believe this shit. I don’t have all day.I say in my mind. The way I put it, she hasn't been outside this dungeon so she can practically believe anything I say. When I found her, she probably has been tortured so the idea of being tortured again would definitely terrify her.

“Y-you came from the outside? I-I-……don’t want to go through that again. No more brother.” I can hear her voice tremble with fear and becomes muffled towards the last line.

Did she just call me brother?I asked in my mind confused. I don’t remember having a sister back at home.

“Look, the only way you won’t go through that is back at the safe zone. The only way you can go back there is if you help me. Got it?” I tell her.

“W-What do I need to do?” She finally spoke.

“Simple. You’re going to guide me towards the hallway. I want you to stand in there and shout. I’ll use your voice to guide myself.” I tell her. “Y-you have to wait for me to enter the hallway or else she will chase you first and catch you.”

It feels like I’m talking to a damn kid. If she was any other people, they might not believe me but from seeing her reactions she seems to believe anything anyone says to her.

“O-Ok, give me a minute.” She replied.

“Not now! Wait for me to immobilize the ogre queen.” I tell her worried she already ran off. But I feel her presence come closer to me as I hear her footsteps.

"Stand behind me," I tell her and I can hear her scuffle towards my back. “Ok, you ready?”

“Yes.” She replied.

“Ogre Queen!” I shouted as loud as I can. “Is she coming close?”

“Yea. She’s floating towards us.” She tells me and I understood why I couldn’t hear her footsteps.

“Seismic step. Suyeon Get ready to run.” I whisper to her but she didn’t respond. I can feel the vibration on my feet as my skill activates.

“Humans, are you ready?” The ogre queen asked as she reaches us.

“Y-yes. B-but before we fight, may I r-request something?” I tried sounding weak and helpless.

“Hmmm. This is the first a human have requested a demon something, Very well. What is it?” Her voice was right above me.

“It’s uh…. kind of embarrassing to say it out loud…” I tell the ogre queen trying to fidget around. I just need to get close to get ahold of her. These demons don't have the thinking capacity of a human as I've noticed the overlord, the ogre king, and this queen probably thinks alike. The overlord didn’t make sure I was dead. The ogre king was too much on his high horse. This queen seems to be underestimating me. And even left us to talk to each other. She probably saw me taking out a potion earlier but she didn’t do anything. For all she knows, she thinks we’re weak and pose no threat.

“Hahahahaha! Whisper it into my ear human.” She says.

Bingo.I say in my mind and I can feel her presence get close and I can feel her breath near my neck. In a split second, I swung my arms out and grabbed her neck to have her in a chokehold. But her neck was so big that I couldn’t grab it all around.

“Oho~ You want to hug me human?” The Ogre Queen whispered, and I can feel her standing up as my body was lifted off the ground.

“Now Suyeon! Run!” I shouted as I placed my fist on her skin. “Knockout!”

I couldn’t see where my fist landed but I know it affected her as I hear her groan in pain and felt my body drop back the ground as she got on her knees. I quickly let go falling on my ass and I can hear her struggle.

“What is this?! Damn you human!!" The ogre queen's voice is right beside my ear and it felt like a loudspeaker was in full blast. It felt like my eardrum was about to rupture. Given the opportunity, I quickly bolt into a direction I heard the footsteps fade away earlier.

“Hey! Suyeon! Where are you?!!!” I shouted out but no response as I ran blindly. “You fucking piece of shi-“

“Over here!!!” I hear her scream from a distance. Using her voice, I navigated myself towards the hallway as she kept shouting, Run faster! She’s starting to move!!”

“You fucking vermins!!!” The ogre queen shouted and I kept running as fast as I can without stopping.

“Watch out!!” Suyeon shouted out and I jumped to the side. The ground exploded right when I jumped, and I can feel hot sparks burn my skin as the impact sent me flying.

“Agrh!!!!” I shout as I tried to control my flip midair to land on my feet. “Suyeon! Don’t just stay quiet!!!”

“Run! She looks hurt from your attack earlier! Run now! Here! Here! Here!” Suyeon shouted out over and over again. I was worried she would just run back and leave me here but I guess wrong. I kept running towards the voice and I can hear it get louder and louder up until I crashed right into her.

“Fuck! Get out of the fucking way!” I shouted as I stood back up.

“I tried and you ran into me!” She shouted back and I hear her voice right behind me. “N-no..No!”

“What?!” I asked confused.

“She’s shrinking down! She’s coming towards us really fast!!” She says and I feel her hand tug my arm like a kid.

“Fuck! Get on my back!” I say to her and she quickly hopped on my back. I used my hand to hold her up and I forgot she’s naked as my palm feels her bottom. I can feel her whole chest hug my back, Skin to skin.

“G-Guide us out of here! I can’t see!” I shouted as I stood up.

“Turn around and run!!” She instructed and I quickly turn and sprinted as fast as I can. “Move a bit to the right! You’re going to collide with the wall!”

I followed her instructions since I have no choice. “Where is she?!” I asked and I can feel her weight shift as she turns around.

“She’s flying towards us! Run faster! She’s catching up!” She tells me.

“Huuuuuuummaaaaaaans!!!!!!!” I hear the Ogre Queen from a distance yet her voice get’s louder and louder.

“Fuck! Overdrive!!” I shouted my skill and the sudden change of speed made Suyeon grab on my neck to prevent her from falling backward. I started choking and I had to slow down a bit for her to fix herself on my back before speeding up again. “Is she still behind us?!” I scream.

I feel her head turn as her weight shifts. “R-run! Run faster! Run!” She kept shouting in my ear.

“W-what?! She caught up already?!” I shout.

“No! There’s fire! It’s chasing us!!!” She shouted and I kept running as fast as possible. I feel her weight shift as she turns back around to face the front. “Watch out!!”

I suddenly stop and I can feel something near my face. “Direct me properly!!!!!” I screamed. I probably almost collided with the wall at full speed.

“S-step to the right and run! Hurry! The fire is close!!” She instructed and I step towards the right and sprint as fast as I can. I feel the heat coming from behind us as the floor felt warm even with shoes on.

“I’m running as fast as I can!!!” I yell back at her.

"Move a bit to the left! You're too close to the wall!" The minute she told me that, I felt my right arm graze the wall and a burning sensation of my skin making contact with the rough surface of the wall made me want to drop her. It felt like my skin was rubbing sandpaper at full speed.

“Arghhh!!!” I scream in pain, but I didn’t stop nor let go Suyeon. I felt blood trickling down my right aoff,rm but I ignored it and ran as fast as I can since I feel an intense hot air creeping behind us.

“Run!” she shouted back pushing herself closer to me. She probably feels the heat more than me.

“I will not die here! I will not die here! I will not die here! I will not die here!!!” I shouted out. I don’t know how far I am from the safe zone and Suyeon stopped screaming and just hugged me tightly. I feel her body shaking.

Ding!

“Finally! Damn about time-” All the air was taken out of me as I felt something jamming into my stomach and legs. My body was propelled to front flip in midair and I felt Suyeon fly out of my back. My legs went numb and my body flipped in midair before crashing back to the ground bouncing around like a flat stone on water. I couldn’t move my body due to the aftermath of my overdrive skill as I helplessly bounced around at high speed. All of a sudden I felt my head hitting something hard and the impact shocked my brain knocking me unconscious.

I slowly open my eyes into a blurry mess. It looked like I was wearing foggy glasses and no matter many times I blink, it never went away.

“Ugh, my head," I mutter as I slowly sit up holding my head.

Ding!

Eyesight is currently being restored. Restoration time: 1hr 29minutes.

“Ugh, I was out for a bit huh.” I groan in pain as I tried standing up. My body felt like it was hit with a truck, multiple times. Every motion I make wakes up the pain from my joints. My muscles feel worn out as if I exercised non-stop till I couldn't move anymore. My throat feels dry but it’s always like this every time I use overdrive. If I use it again, my body will shut down and I will sleep for days. I look around the room but it’s hard to make out shapes since my vision is too blurry.

"Item bag," I whisper and I see something drop to my left. I slowly feel around it until my hand is near the opening. I take out a water container and slowly drank it. I know its water because I can hear it slushing but there's no color.

“Ah. Damn fucking eyes.” I whisper as my voice felt dry. I started walking around the room slowly feeling my steps since I couldn’t clearly see where I’m going. I feel like an old man walking without crutches as I take small steps trying not to trip. Since the room is circular, as long as I hug the wall, I can reach every door but I wasn’t looking for the hidden exit, I was looking where Suyeon flew.

Why am I looking for her?I whisper in my mind as I looked around trying to spot something unnatural. I didn’t make it far when I found her and it's hard to see if she's alive or not. Heck, I can't even properly see her outline but I know it's her.

“Hey, you alive?” I say trying to shake her but no response. I reached out towards her blurred outline and moved my hand towards her neck trying to find a pulse. Yet, another part of my conscious wrapped my hand around her neck and slowly squeezed it.

“I should kill you right here. I almost died because of you.” I whisper as I have both my hand slowly squeezing her neck. AS I tighten and tighten my grip, I couldn't help but bring out a smile.

“B-b-brother….don’t leave me……don’t leave me here….with them…..” She whispered and hearing it made my grip loosen. It reminded me of my first experience, how I was left alone and I felt agitated she didn’t die.

“I’ll let you live for now. But, this isn’t over.” I say as I whisper towards her. I sat near her and leaned my back towards the wall and waited. I waited for my vision to get back and when it does, I'll settle my score with the ogre queen. Cooking her might bring me to level up and Suyeon will know what it feels to be blind. My body ached everywhere and there wasn’t much I could do but watch the timer slowly decreases. Watching the numbers slowly decrease by one hypnotized me to sleep.

I woke up to the light of the dungeon. My body feels the same. I look to my side and she’s still unconscious. “Ugh…my head….”

I suddenly stop as I looked at her laying on her side sleeping soundly. “My vision. It’s back. It’s fucking back! Finally!!” I shout with joy as I can see everything clearly again but my moment of happiness quickly as I tried to get up and my body felt worse than before. I see my elbow contains dried blood around a wound I got from scraping it to the wall. I called out my bag and quickly ate a piece of meat reserving the remaining potions I have left for emergencies.

“Fuck," I whisper as I see holes on my clothes. “That fucking ogre queen. She seems a lot stronger than the king.”

I see my wound is slowly restoring and I kept eating until my stomach started filling up. I was tempted to go out and have a look at what that thing really looks like but I know my body isn’t in top shape due to overdrive. If I got out there and fight her now, it’s going to be like the overlord all over again where I fought him with an ‘all or nothing’ mindset.

"I can't be fighting and always in the verge of death," I whisper as took out a glass container filled with water out of my bag. I drank my fill and sat resting my back at the wall near Suyeon. I looked at the safe zone and more memories flooded in my mind making me remember my condition before.

“Tch…this situation is too close to comfort," I whisper to myself as it feels likeim relieving my nightmare. The dungeon boss destroyed the portal and now, I probably need to use the stream again to get out of here. The only difference is I’m not alone. I looked to my side and watched her breathe.

“Suyeon," I say her name out loud but she never woke up and just slept her fill. “Well, aren’t you taking it easy…”

Her body is a mess. Bruises and cuts everywhere. I see a gash towards her side, which probably happened when she flew out of my back earlier.

“Item bag.” I caught my bag as it dropped in front of me. I took out a potion and poured a little bit in her wound trying to see if it can heal it without consumption. I see her wince in pain but she never woke up. Proving my theory was correct, the wound sizzled as it regenerated back the missing skin closing the wound like it never happened.

“Be in your best shape. I’ll come back and continue where we left off.” I say as I slowly stand looking down at her. I sat near the pedestal and decided to relax a bit.

Once I get my energy back, I’ll come for you Ogre Queen.I say in my mind.

"She might drop something valuable if I kill her," I whisper to myself. "I also have some question I need to ask her.”

I need to start investigating where Luro is hiding.I say in my mind.

Once I felt rested well enough, I left to face the ogre queen. Before I left, I walked towards Suyeon kneeled on one knee beside her and placed a few items near her head. A cloth shirt and pants I got in the hidden dungeon, a couple of cooked meat, a water container, and the bottle of potion that's half empty. I didn't bother changing my clothes since I’m going to be fighting anyways.

“Don’t die on me now till I get back okay~” I say smiling as I tilt my head sideways. I slowly stand up and walk towards the dark hallway.

I still need to show you the wonderful experience of being blind.I say in my mind as I got closer to the exit.

Ding!

You have exited a 'Safe Zone.'

"Alright! Ogre Queen! Let's fight properly as you wanted!!!" I screamed into the dark. I started smiling as my body slowly skipped towards the dark singing. I continued to sing and whistle as I skipped in darkness until I reached the other side of the hallway. I nonchalantly exit out towards the undead skeleton room. I see the flame she threw at us earlier is similar to the sky kings flames because it left a black mark right in the middle. The whole room feels hot as the ground, ceiling, and roof steamed. I made my way towards the other hallway passing the white marble door. I walked thinking she can come out of any corner and ambush me but, nothing.

“Oh well, no point of hiding. I got my vision back. She shouldn’t pose a problem even if she’s stronger than the overlord.” I whisper as I walk towards the other hallway. I picked up the pace as excitement overcomes me. I decided to take out the sword I got from the overlord and hugged the wall near the entrance.

“First, observe your enemy Yasu," I whisper as I slowly crept out peeking towards the side trying to see where she is.

Whistle.

"Well, aren't you looking less like an ogre," I say as I see what looks like a giant floating near the portal’s rubble. She looks half the size of the ogre king yet she’s still big enough to be considered a giant. Her face looks like it was made out of lizard’s skin but with a smooth texture giving her that glossy look. She has two teeth sticking out her mouth upwards and a tiny horn on her forehead. Her face and body give the empress vibe as her clothes consist of skintight leather yet, she wearing metal gauntlets and boots along with a cape. I see her hands are placed over the rubble of the portal and circular runes are going up and down.

“Is she restoring it?” I whisper to myself. In a blink of an eye, the remaining rubble of the portal vanished and turned into dust.

Ah, so you’re destroying it completely. Asshole.I say in my mind. I’m not scared about losing the portal since I know of another way out of here. I see her turn around and start floating towards one direction when she suddenly stopped and turned her head toward my direction as I stepped out to greet her.

"Greetings you bitch!” I shouted as I walked till she’s right in front of me looking down. On her right hand, she’s holding a fireball illuminating the whole room.

“Well well well, if it isn’t the blind human.” She says.

"I'm not blind anymore you giant bitch," I tell her with a smirk in my face. I can see she's not amused at what I called her but I couldn’t care less of her feelings.

How do they even know what that means in this world? That’s weird. I say in my mind.

“Well, look at this. The blind human who regained his vision is now trying to eat more than what he can chew.” She tells me without removing her gaze.

“Wow! How did you know I was a cook?!” I mocked her and I can see wrinkles between her eyes.

“You will die here human. Any last words?” She says as she places her hand in air materializing a giant club.

“Want to come close again? Let me whisper in your ear~” I say mocking her and her expression say she wants to rip me to shreds. “By the way, do all you dumb ogres only have clubs? Even the ogre king had a club. Get a fucking sword at least.”

“You, how do you know the ogre king?” She asked me.

“Me? I’m the guy the gave your husband a C-section.” I tell her.

“C-c-what?” She asked me with confusion.

“Well, to save some girl, I basically cut open his stomach while he’s alive. Ah~ I remember, the sizzling sound of his burning flesh was quite something.” I tell her as I gave her the biggest smile I can muster. This probably triggered her and she screams with fury.

“You lie! Die human!” She quickly threw the fireball at me.

“Seismic Step!” I shouted and using my skill, I quickly jumped to the side dodging the fireball. The explosion from the fireball shook the whole dungeon.

“Item bag!!” I caught my bag and quickly took out a sword. The ogre queen brought her club down towards me and using my blade I swung upwards.

“Heaven’s Slice!!” The skill went through the club like butter cutting it in half. I aimed the skill carefully towards the stalactite above it and it caused the entire stalactite to fall down on both of us.

“Chef’s Coat!” I dodge most of the stalactite that’s dropping and as I look at the ogre queen, she cast a shield above her preventing the stalactites from piercing her head. “Eh, worth a try.”

“You damn human!!” She shouted and more fireballs materialized in mid-air. It quickly flew at me and yet, I find it all lacking to even give me an exhilarating feeling as I dodge all the fireballs slicing some of them.

“Keep em’ coming! Hahaha!!!” I taunt her as I slice all the fireballs one by one.

“You cocky bastard! Arukabura-Rakmadar!!” She chanted some words and a huge purple rune emerged above her. “Drago! Come forth! Taste this human and devour his flesh with your flames!!”

After saying her lines, a dragon came out of the rune with head out first. It flew out at high speed landing on the ground fast enough to make the cave shake in place. The impact of its descend created a huge explosion sending loose rubble and stalactite towards the walls.

“Another dragon? Ha! This isn’t the first time I fought one!! Item bag!” I shouted and I caught my bag before it fell to the ground. I took off on a sprint towards the right. I ran so fast that even the ogre queen lost track of me. I quickly jumped above the dragon and as I reach the peak of my jump, I took out my dragon slayer. I let go of the bag and gripped the handle with both hands with the blade pointing down.

"Dice," I whispered my new skill as I land on top the dragon stabbing my sword on its neck. The dragon roared as it tried flying up. White light emitted from where I stabbed him as we both flew up towards the ceiling of the cave.

“You’re quite small compared to the sky king. Ha, hahahahaha!!!” I run towards its tail dragging my sword in its flesh creating a trail of white light on its back. The dragon roared as it felt my sword slice it’s back open. The minute I reached the tip of its tail, I jump off before he reached the ceiling trying to squish me. I land at the ground and I look back up the dragon with the white light still emitting on its back as it remained floating in mid-air.

“Human!” I hear the Ogre Queens shout and as I look to my right and I see her flying towards me. All of a sudden the light on the dragons back got brighter and brighter until it shined the whole room like a flashbang. She stopped on her tracks and looked up at the dragon.

“Watch out~” I sang towards her as I walked gripping my sword. The white light I left on the dragons back spread everywhere on its body forming a grid.

“What have you-“ The Ogre Queen suddenly stopped talking as the dragon erupted in place sending body parts shape of a cube everywhere falling down on the ogre queen and me. The dragon’s blood flew everywhere and for a brief moment, it rained blood inside the cave.

“Ah~ Covered in blood again," I whisper to myself as I twirl around and I can see the Ogre Queen looking at the remaining parts of the dragon, raining everywhere.

“No-no!!” She shouted and I can see her sclera turned black while her pupil glowed purple. She grew in size as her clothes started ripping from the seams and her metal gauntlet snapped as her hand outgrew its size. “Human! You shall die!!!”

“W-w-what? Why are you getting mad? All I did is kill your husband and that weak looking thing you call a dragon.” I say smiling at her. “Pfft~ Taste my flesh… that thing tasted my sword in it’s back.”

“You! You have done enough!! Know your place!!” She suddenly sends a ball of molten lava my way. And rather than dodging, I swung down my sword slicing it in half passing me as it splits into two erupting on a wall behind me.

“Don't tell me that’s your strongest attack?” I taunt her as she clenches her fist staring me down as her hands glowed. "Let’s fight! Seismic-step!!”

I re-activated my skill and I ran past the fireballs she sent my way. I quickly close the gap between us and right when I was about to slice her legs off, she flew upwards making me miss my swing.

She brought both her hands up towards the air and started forming a giant lava ball. “Die!” She shouted as she brought down her hands and the lava ball slowly dropped towards me.

“Item bag!” I reach inside my bag and took out a two-handed hammer. "Tenderize!”

I jump up and as the giant lava descends towards my direction, I swing my hammer upwards making contact at its surface. The giant lava ball erupted causing it to rain fire and the shockwave was enough to send me soaring back down. I land on my feet causing a crater on the ground.

“Sky kings wind!” I swung towards the Ogre Queen and a tornado formed out of my blade as it engulfed all the flames and lava. “Oh damn, a lava tornado. Lava-nado?”

The tornado soared towards the Ogre Queen who readied her fist to meet it. It one quick motion, she swung forward at the tornado and it exploded covering the whole cave with steam. I couldn't see anything and as I readied my sword to swing away from the smoke, it all suddenly disappeared and I can see her fist outward from the sky. I was about to thank her for clearing the area but I stopped as I catch her glare towards me. Her fury was more than what she showed and somehow, it's pissing me off that she's looking down at me.

“Seismic Step!” I shouted clenching the handle of the dragon slayer. I jump towards her leaving a crater in the ground and I can see her silently chant something. In a split second, her body was encased with a purple light similar to a body shield.

Challenging me I see.I say in my mind as I smile flying towards the Ogre Queen.

“Pound!” I shouted my skill before I brought my fist towards her stomach. The minute I made contact, it broke her magic armor as it shattered the purple light surrounding her like its made out of glass. I can see her face in pain as my punch sends her flying upwards hitting the ceiling of the cave erupting it in place. Stalactites fell to the ground as the cave shook from her impact. I land back down the ground and as I look up, I notice she’s unconscious as her giant body fell to the ground. I jumped back up the sky reaching the ceiling and without waiting for her to land; I jumped towards her using the ceiling of the cave to launch myself towards her at high speed. She finally opened her eyes but it was too late as my left hand was swinging towards her face.

“Good morning Ogre Queen~” I smile at her as we both fall down towards the ground. “Clench your jaw bitch, Tenderize~”

“Human you dare-“ My fist exploded as it made contact with her jaw interrupting her speech. It felt like I punched metal leaving my fist stinging. The impact of my attack shot her body towards the ground like a bullet exploding beneath me. The air coming from her body destroying the ground slowing down my descend helping me land on my feet.

"Item bag," I whispered my bag catching it in front of me. I slowly take out the dragon slayer swinging it towards her. “Sky king’s wind!”

The smoke was sucked up by the tornado I created and I see her struggling to get up. Half her face is blown apart from her nose down to her jaw and even with that, she glared at me with her remaining eye.

"I'd give it to you, having half your face blown apart and still able to stand is something to be commended about," I tell her as I walked towards her clapping my hands. "Well, I wanted to ask you about some information but, whatever. I'll just cook you~"

Her body suddenly glowed bright red making me cover my eyes for a bit. “Don't tell me-“

Her body suddenly lurched forwards and with her remaining arm, she grabbed around my waist hugging me tightly. I tried to break away punching her face but she just laughed and laughed not even caring that I’m punching her open wound.

“Let me go!” I shouted over and over, as her body got brighter and brighter it felt like I was staring at the sun. “Chef’s coat!”

Without warning, her body exploded and thanks to my skill, I wasn't blown apart but I took a decent amount of damage around my abdomen. I flew towards a wall hitting my back on it.

Cough*

I was in all fours trying to catch my breath. I felt my stomach burn and I quickly took out my dimensional bag. I grabbed some food and quickly ate trying to fix the damages I sustained. After eating my fill, I sat leaning my back on the wall as I watch the smoke cover everything. The burnt mark around my abdomen slowly healed as I try to calm myself.

“What the fuck. She committed suicide..” I whisper to myself as I stare into the smoke spreading everywhere. “Fucking hell, I would have died if it wasn't for chef’s coat.”

I look down and I see parts of my clothes were gone and I had a few burn marks in my skin that slowly healing as it sizzled my skin back in place.

"Fuck," I whisper as I study the rest of my body for any more damages. "Ugh...there goes my new set of clothes.”

The garb I got from the overlord has completely torn apart. The shirt became rags as it was ripped and burned exposing my top torso and my left shoe and left the side of my pants is completely gone. I lean my head towards the wall closing my eyes as I tried to control my breathing.

“Ugh, I think I fractured some of my ribs. That damn bitch-“ I stopped talking as I open my eyes and see two purple dots within the smoke. Then slowly, I started seeing a shadow around it outlining a figure.

“You’ve got to be shitting me-“

“Human. Congratulations.” Her voiced ranged out interrupting me. “You made me show my final form. Now, where were we?”
