《Mythical Conquest》Alexis Dragna

A week after the Dragna Kingdom upgraded to the Dragna Empire.
The emperor, Miko was sitting on his throne going through some papers. It was then that Ishma appeared before.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
She asked.
“The citizens from the three countries I conquered are in distress, so I’m think of ways to put them at ease.”
Miko replied without looking at her.
“Why do you have to do that? If they have a problem with you ruling, just Slaughter them until no one is brave enough to defy you again.”
Said Ishma.
“Idiot, if I did that there’s a high chance that the citizens will rebel and that would give my enemies who are waiting in the shadows, the opportunity to strike.”
Miko replied.
“I may have declared the formation of the Dragna Empire, but I still need to solidify the empire’s foundation. If I don’t, the empire won’t last and all my work would become meaningless.”
He fold the papers in his hand and gently hit Ishma on top of her head.
“Not everything can be solved with violence.”
“That’s a lie. If violence didn’t solve your problem, that means that you didn’t use enough that’s all.”
Ishma replied.
“Hmm….the fact that you really believe that is disturbing yet amusing.”
Miko replied.
“But I suppose you do got a point. I tried to be a Good Samaritan in Grim City but it didn’t work out. In the end, I only got what I wanted after endless slaughters.”
He said.
If Bloom or Sapphire were to hear him, they would retort him by saying that he never tried to be a Good Samaritan in the first place.
“Even so, I can’t just go slaughter everyone.”
“But I’m bored! Look!”
Ishma showed Miko a book.
“I was this close to actually reading a book to past the time. I mean who does that?!”
She shouted.
“People who can spell words that have more than three letters.”
Miko mumbled to himself.
He then stood up from his throne.
“Well, since you’re bored you can hang out with me for the day.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. You can consider it a date.”
Miko said.
“So what would you like to do?”
“Start a war!”
Ishma immediately replied.
“I already did that. I’m just waiting to see how our opponents are going to react. Anything else?”
“Fight in a war!”
“………….Anything else?”
“Nothing else come to mind.”
Said Ishma.
“You’re hopeless.”
Regis appeared beside her and said.
“Is war all you think about?”
“That and food. They go good together.”
“Yeah, I believe that.”
Said Miko.
It was then that his door was forced open and Momo walked in.
“Miko, are you busy?”
“Well..”
“I see, you’re free.”
“At least let me answer, woman.”

Miko cursed.
“So, what you want?”
“I need a test dummy. Lend me one. Preferably alive.”
“Do I look like a human trafficker to you? And why do you need a test dummy?”
“I want to try out some new moves, before I use them in battle.”
“I see.”
Miko then grabbed Regis and Ishma.
“Then use these two. They’re pretty sturdy.”
He threw them over to Momo like they were dolls.
“Wait!”
They protested, but Momo had already held on tight to them. Since their strength depended on Miko’s, they were unable to break free from Momo.
“Thanks. I’ll bring them back when I’m done.”
Momo said as she left the room with the protesting Ishma and Regis.
After they left Miko sat back on his throne.
“Now then, back to work.”
He took up some papers again.
He skipped through them and wrote down some notes every now and again.
At that moment-
“?!”
Miko felt something piercing through his chest. He looked down and saw a curvy blade running through his back through his chest.
“Cough?!”
He threw up some blood and slowly moved his hand to touch the blade.
“?”
However, there was no blade there.
He looked at his chest and saw that the wound was gone. In fact, it looked like he was wounded in the first place.
“What was that? An illusion?”
“Correct.”
At that moment, he saw someone appear in front of him out of thin air.
It was a young boy around his early teens. He had purple and azure hair and lazy blue eyes. The moment Miko saw him Alec’s face flashed in his mind.
“Who are you?”
Miko asked.
“This is our first time meeting.”
The boy did a courteous bow.
“My name is Alexis Dragna. Son of Alexus Dragna and Father of Alec, Kirika, and Ren.”
The boy, Alexis introduced himself.
“I see. So you’re Alexis.”
Miko’s eyes suddenly grew cold.
“Why did you show me such an illusion, Alexis? Depending on your answer, I might let you off with a few broken limbs.”
“Broken limbs huh?”
Alexis then held his arm. And then-
*Crack!*
He broke it.
“Will that suffice?”
When Miko saw him casually break his arm, he sensed a great danger from the person in front of him.
“I’ll ask again. Why did you show me such a thing?”
“I just wanted you to be aware of just how easy it is for someone to kill you.”
Alexis replied.
“How did the experience of dying again feel? Do you still feel fear? Or does the instinctive fear of death disappears after experiencing it a couple times? I’m quite curious.”
“Don’t tell me you did that just to quench your curiosity?”
Alexis nodded.
“I see.”
Miko’s eyes showed a vicious light.

“Bašmu, kill him.”
“As you wish.”
Bašmu appeared from behind Miko and attacked Alexis without hesitation.
*Boom!*
Alexis was hit with a gigantic fist that covered him and cracked open the ground.
“?!”
However, Bašmu was the one who had an agonizing expression. He backed off and stood beside Miko.
“Hmm…..it seems to have been successful.”
Miko saw Alexus stand up holding a sickle blade in his hand.
“Y-You, is that Sharur?”
Bašmu asked with a pale face.
Alexis nodded.
“This is indeed Sharur. The very weapon that slew you in the myths.”
Sharur was a godly weapon that had great intelligence, could talk, and was able to transform in a mace, a sickle sword, or a bow and arrow. It was the weapon of the god Ninurtha.
“So Miguel’s theory that Higher Beings that were slain in the myths were powerless against the same weapons that slew them was true. This is quite intriguing.”
Alexis said as he twirled the sword.
“You….who are you?”
Miko asked.
“I already told you who I am. Ah, but I might’ve forgotten to tell you that I’m one of the founding members of New Era, as well as the leader of one of its branches.”
“?!”
Miko was shocked to hear this.
“And you’re just giving away your identity? Well, aren’t you confident?”
Said Miko.
“Of course I am. I’m just a clone after all. I’m not the real Alexis.”
“What?”
“Well, clone isn’t correct either. I’m a homunculus designed to look, think, and act like Alexis Dragna. The only difference is that I’m the perfect anti-dragon/ serpent weapon.”
“I don’t understand.”
Said Miko.
“Yes, you do. It’s just that you’re trying to get more information out of me by feigning ignorance.”
Alexis said while still twirling the weapon.
“You, what did you come here for?”
Miko asked.
“To give you this.”
Alexis pulled an envelope from his pocket and threw it at Miko, which Bašmu caught to be safe.
“It’s Alexis Dragna resignation letter. He is leaving the clan for good. I was sent here to deliver that letter.”
He said.
Miko didn’t pay his words much attention but looked at the sickle sword in his hand.
“What? You want it?”
Alexis noticed his gaze and asked.
“Here. You can keep it. It was disposable anyway, since only needed it to confirm our theory.”
After he said that, he threw the sword to Miko. Miko caught it this time and looked at it from head to toe.
‘This thing has immense power within it.’
He thought to himself.
“You won’t be able to use it you know.”
Alexis suddenly said.
“It just a copy of the original Sharur. We have the real thing in our possession. That in your hand will probably crumble away in a few days time. Either way, it serve its process.’
‘They’re able to mass produce God Weapons?’
It was then Miko thought about the weapons MYTH created. They were all based off weapons from various legends.
‘Could those have been nothing but practice to recreate the real thing?’
Miko was incredibly shocked by the thought.
“Why did you reveal yourself to me like this? No, why did you do anything that you did today?”
Miko asked.
Alexis shrugged.
“I don’t know. I’m just following instructions given to me by the original me.”
He replied.
‘Are they trying to frighten me by showing their strengths?’
Miko thought.
“Miko, haven't you yet to realize something?”
Alexis suddenly asked.
“Sharur was able to injure Bašmu who was a higher being, disregarding the fact that the Class System is supposed to protect him. This is one of the loopholes we found in the system. As long as a god has been slain in their myth, they can be slain again if the same method and weapon is used.”
“?!”
Miko finally realized something.
Alexis continued.
“Wasn’t Tiamat also slain in her myth?”
*BOOOM!*
Suddenly Miko’s throne shattered underneath him. He stood up with murky grey aura leaking out from inside of him. Cracks started appearing on his body as if he was about to shed his very existence and turn into something completely terrifying.
“I dare you….”
A deep and dreadful voice that could scary the heavens and the hells, came from his mouth.
“I dare you insects to touch my wife.”
He took a step forward. And then-
*BOOOM!*
The roof of the palace was suddenly blown off by an invisible force. The sky immediately became overcast and sinister Crimson lightning flashed in the sky.
“If you piles of shits do touch her…..”
A massive earthquake shook the country, and the ground started to break apart.
“I’ll show you what it means to anger an apocalyptic god such as myself.”
Even in the face of the terrifying Miko, Alexis remained calm.
“An Apocalyptic God, huh. I guess that’s the perfect word to describe an interesting existence such as yourself.”
He said.
“If I had possessed the emotion fear, I’m sure that i would've died facing your immense aura. Sadly, the original me didn’t program any emotions into me.”
Alexis sigh with a shrug.
In response, Miko-
“I see. How unfortunate.”
He stretch out his finger and poked Alexis’ forehead.
*BOOOM!*
With an explosive sound, Alexis and half of the palace disintegrated before Miko’s eyes.
“A pathetic existence like yourself doesn’t belong in my world. Not you or the new era.”
His aura disappeared and the surroundings quickly returned to normal.
“I’ll make you all regret being born in my world.”
After saying that, Miko passed out and hit the ground, leaving destruction all around him.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
