“See? He was able to kill Tang as I thought he would.”

Said Alec, who watched the fight from beginning to the end.

He stood up and stretched his body.

“I guess this is where we part ways.”

Mari also stood up and nodded.

“The spell is almost complete so I need to prepare to activate it.”

“A word of advice.”

Alec looked at her with a sharp gaze.

“Wait until my cousin leaves the city before you summon what you want to summon. Otherwise, your blood will also be used to strengthen this formation.”

“……You don’t need to tell me. I was going to do so anyway.”

“Is that so?”

Alec showed her a smile.

“Then that’s good.”

He approached the edge of ledge he was sitting on.

“Well, farewell. I hope we never meet as enemies in the future.”

Saying so he took a leap and disappeared from sight.

“….I’m hoping that doesn’t happen a lot more than you think.”

Mari mumbled to herself.

A white-haired Miko laid on the cold ground with his entire body numb.

He looked to the side and saw Kaido and Jin motionless on the ground.

Jin looked like a burnt doll while Kaido still hung on to Tang’s arm.

“Tang…..”

Shenron looked in the sky in a daze. He still couldn’t accept that the boy he groomed from he was young had died just like that.

He looked over at Miko who was on the ground and suddenly felt a great hatred for him.

He started walking towards him which drew Miko’s attention.

Miko immediately sense the hate and bloodlust that Shenron was directing at him. However, instead of feeling afraid a strange smile appeared on his face.

“Shenron, huh?”

The tone of his voice was different than usual.

“What’s with that look? Oh, could it be that you’re angry because we killed your brat?”

“Miko” suddenly started laughing.

For some reason, Shenron felt an eerie presence in Miko’s laugh.

“You want revenge? That’s fine. Come. I wonder how long it’s been since I’ve trample a true dragon? 10,000 years? Or maybe longer? Well, whatever.”

A devilish smirk appeared on Miko’s face.

“I’ll enjoy making soup out of you.”

Shenron stopped when he heard that.

There has only been one human who said something like that to him before, but from what he knew that human was long dead.

Or was he?

“You, who are y-”

Before he could finish asking the question someone had appeared in front of him, blocking his path towards Miko.

It was naturally Tiamat.

“Back down, Shenron.”

She spoke with a cold voice.

“Tiamat…..”

Shenron instinctively took a step back when Tiamat approached him.

As a fellow Dragon deity he knew that he wasn’t a match for the woman in front of him.

She was the oldest and most powerful dragon of all time after all.

Shenron said nothing and stretched his hand out towards Kaido, the regalia in Tang’s severed arm turned into light particles and entered his body. He couldn’t allow his power to fall in the hands of others after all.

He then bowed towards Tiamat as a show of respect before disappearing.

“You okay?”

Tiamat looked at Miko and asked.

“…..Yeah.”

A dazed look appeared on Miko’s face before he answered.

“I can’t feel a thing.”

“That’s not surprising. You’ve been exhausting your magic as of late and now you used a spell that was far out of your league and had to pay dearly for it.”

Said Tia.

“How much of my life do you think I’ve lost?”

“I don’t know, but it’s at least a couple hundred years for you to be reduced to this state.”

“I see. I really need to find a way to fight without depleting my magic and Qi every time and cutting so much years off my life……I need a new way of fighting.”

Miko mumbled to himself.

“Miko!”

That’s when he heard Bloom’s voice.

“They got here pretty quickly.”

Tiamat said as she looked at Bloom and the others who was racing over to Miko and the boys.

She wanted to speak to Miko alone for a bit longer, but she decided that it can wait.

Bloom arrived beside Miko and lifted his body up.

“Look, we match.”

Miko said with a joking tone as he pointed at his and Bloom’s hair color.

“I guess we do.”

Bloom laughed a little before showing a worried expression.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. My body’s a little numb but I’ll be alright.”

Bloom shook her head.

“That’s not what I mean….”

The scene of Miko threatening to kill Jin and Kaido if they held him back resurfaced in her mind.

At that time, Miko didn’t seem like himself. However, she felt that if she asked him he would brush over the issue and not talk about it.

After all, that's what he normally did when he was Logan.

“What’s wrong?”

Miko asked when he saw that Bloom was hesitating.

“Nevermind. It’s nothing.”

“Is that so?”

“Jin! Can you hear me, Jin?!”

Miko looked to the side and saw Sapphire holding Jin in her arms.

“…D…Don’t shout….My senses are very sensitive….right now….”

Jin slowly said.

“Here eat this!”

She shoved a regenerative pill in his mouth and made him swallow it.

The moment he did his body showed clear signs of healing, but it wasn’t enough to restore him to his previous appearance.

“I’ll do something about him when I can move my body again.”

Said Miko.

Kaido who received a beating from Tang was surprising able to get on his feet with a little help from Hana and Nana.

“…..Damn, he’s durable.”

Miko couldn’t help but mutter.

“Ishma, Regis.”

He called for his swords.

They appeared next to him and grabbed his hands.

The moment they did, green and azure aura started to be transferred into Miko’s body.

He was absorbing the magic he stored inside them over the time they’ve spent together.

Doing this won’t harm the girls in any way, since they had their own magic source.

Miko’s hair started to regain its vibrant azure color. It wasn’t long before it returned to normal.

Bloom then gave him a regenerative pill to boost his strength.

Miko quickly sprung to his feet almost as good as new.

“Damn, that thing is like a senzu bean.”

He said as he stretched his body.

He walked up to Kaido.

“You good?”

“Yeah, I’ll be alright.”

Kaido answered with a painful smile.

“I see.”

Miko placed his hand on his shoulder.

The moment he did, Kaido could feel a warm sensation enter his body. The pain he was feeling also started to recede.

He soon found himself able to stand on his own.

Miko said nothing and walked towards Jin.

“Damn, you look like a roast chicken.”

He said while laughing at Jin.

“S…Shut it.”

“You’re lucky I’m more skilled at healing others than I was six months ago. I now don’t need to waste as much Qi as I did when I healed Bloom.”

He extend his hand and Jin was covered in a golden light. After a while Jin finally looked like a person again, even his hair had returned.

However, he was nowhere near fully healed. But for him this was enough, he could recover naturally on his own.

He slowly got to his feet with a groan.

“Thanks.”

“No prob.”

*Boom!*

“Hm?”

It was at that moment that Miko and the others felt the earth shake.

When they looked up ahead they saw Gear’s giant robot heading towards them.

“Well, fuck. I completely forgot about that thing.”

Said Miko.

“Hm? Hey, is it me or is there something in its chest.”

Said Kaido.

Everyone started to focus on the chest of the robot when they heard that.

It was then that they saw that there was an orb in its chest. When they focused on it some more, they realized that there were persons inside the orb. Two of them.

“Sebas and Andre Bernard?”

They saw Sebas and Andre connected to a weird machine inside the robot’s chest.

“It looks like they’re being used to power up the robot.”

Edward said after observing the robot for a bit.

When Gear ordered Andre to retrieve Sebas, he secretly connected him to the robot’s core to power up it up.

He later used the robot to suppress Andre Bernard and used him as a power source as well. His reason for betraying Andre was because he was afraid that Andre, who had a strong sense of justice, would eventually turn on him when he learnt of all of the sins he committed.

It was a coward’s move, but a smart one.

“A pillar and a serial killer reduced to a power source? I don’t know if I should laugh or not.”

Said Miko.

“Hahahahaha!”

That’s when they heard an arrogant laugh echoing throughout the city. It was coming from the robot.

They looked and saw the head component of the robot open up. From there they saw someone emerged clothed in gold wearing a crown.

This was naturally Tommy “Gear” Akabe.

“Tang is dead! The Syndicate is dead! And I’m the only pillar remaining, that means that I’m king!”

He shouted with an excited voice.

“…..He sounds arrogant.”

Said Miko.

“….Yeah. He’s always been like that when he’s got the upper hand.”

Said Edward.

“Oh, brother! Do you see this masterpiece?! Not only is it magic proof, built to withstand a X Class level attack, it also nullifies Infected abilities! Which means that I’m invincible in this city! I’m a genius! A true genius!”

Gear said while boasting.

“Damn, your brother is quite the show-off isn’t he?”

Said Miko.

“You have no idea.”

Edward answered.

“Is what he said about that robot true?”

“Most likely. He doesn’t lie when he’s boasting that much.”

“Then this could be a problem.”

Said Miko.

“Hahahaha! All that’s left now is to crush everyone here and my survival is ensured!”

Gear motioned the robot to head toward Miko and the others.

With every step it took the city shook.

“Miko, Kaido, Jin please tell me you three can do something about that thing.”

Said Bloom.

“Do something about it? Heh.”

Miko smirked.

Kaido and Jin also smirked and walked up beside him and faced the robot.

“Of course….”

The robot was now a few kilometers from them.

“Of course that’s impossible.”

“Eh?”

“I mean look at the size of that thing.”

Said Miko.

“Infected powers also don’t work on it, so I’m pretty much useless against it.”

Said Jin.

“Not to mention its defenses and attack power.”

“Defeating that thing is impossible.”

The three of them said in unison.

“If that’s the case, then why are the three of you smiling?!”

Sapphire shouted.

“Because if we’re going to die we'll at least go down fighting.”

Said Miko.

Jin and Kaido didn’t say anything, but anyone could see that they agreed.

“I wonder which one of us is going to kick the bucket first?”

Asked Jin.

“You of course, since you have the weakest body of the three of us.”

Said Kaido.

“Oh? Let’s see about that.”

“Alright, the one who dies first buy all of us dinner in hell.”

Said Miko.

“Sounds good to me.”

“Same here.”

Kaido and Jin agreed.

“Y-You’re all insane!”

Shouted Sapphire.

“Don’t worry. It’ll all work out in the end.”

Tia said while placing her hand on Sapphire’s shoulder.

About 4 km away Gear’s robot was slowly advancing towards Miko and the others. However, there was someone close by who was watching the robot with a sharp gaze.

“Not bad. This robot is pretty impressive. But it lacks in comparison to what my branch can produce.”

Said Alec, who was floating in the air with dragon wings on his back.

“Too bad that it has to be destroyed.”

He extended a finger and a droplet of blood formed at his finger tip.

This droplet of blood was illuminating in the night, like a red star.

It naturally caught Miko’s attention, but by the time he looked towards it, only the blood droplet was there. Alec was nowhere to be found.

The droplet of blood silently fell on the robot and seeped into it.

And then-

*Boom!*

A blood-colored flame immediately engulf it.

“Wha?!”

This naturally shocked everyone at the scene.

None was more shocked than Gear himself.

While inside the robot’s cockpit he was forced to watch in horror as the blood colored flame seep through the cracks in the robot like water and surrounded him.

It was like the flame was searching for something as it moved towards him.

He got frightened and wanted to run, but he was already surrounded with no escape routes.

As if finally detecting him, the flame suddenly pounced on him.

Instead of getting burnt Gear felt the flame forcing itself through his pores and entering inside him.

It was after all the flame forced itself inside him that he felt immense heat.

He suddenly felt like he was being sucked dry.

His skin started to shrivel up like he was a becoming a mummy.

“Guaaaaaahhhhh?!”

He screamed out in agony as he felt his very organs started to shrivel up like prunes.

It was like the flame was devouring all the blood inside him.

This was one of the abilities of Blood Flame. It enters a living being and used its blood as fuel to increase its strength while killing them. It wasn’t blood alone, it could also use the water inside a living person as fuel and thus completely dehydrating them to the point they’re reduced to skin and bones.

Gear released one last agonizing scream before turning into a dried up corpse.

That’s when the flame flowed through his pores like sweat and spread through the cockpit.

The flame then started to burn more brightly as if it became happy. The surroundings inside the robot suddenly started to melt like it was made of ice.

This was another ability of the Blood Flame. It couldn’t only burn things but cause them to melt as well.

The flame quickly started to spread to every corner of the robot causing it to melt.

“Hm?”

Alec who was observing from a far saw something shot through the robot chest, before quickly disappearing into the night.

He smiled for a bit and no longer paid it any mind.

Miko and the others watched as the giant robot with Gear and Sebas inside was reduced to a lake of molten metal.

They didn’t have to ask, they knew that whoever was in that robot was dead without a doubt.

“W-What just happened?”

They asked while watching the Blood Flame burning brightly in the middle of the molten lake.

Miko silently looked at Tia, and realized that she was smiling in satisfaction.

‘She knew this would happen…’

He thought to himself.

He then turned his back to the Blood Flame.

“Let’s go.”

“Go? Where?”

Jin asked.

“Where else? We’re leaving the city and heading back to the Dragna Kingdom. With all the Pillars dead and the Syndicate in ashes then there's no longer any reason to stay here.”

“Wait, what about what just happened?”

Chrome asked.

“Forget it. What’s important is leaving this city before this spell formation activates.”

Miko didn’t wait for them to respond before walking towards the gate in the 1st District.

After looking at each other they all quickly followed behind him.

After they reached the gate of the 1st District Miko made Edward contact Yota and had him and Sola bring over the rest of Exsul including all of their resources and vehicles, which included the Nemean Armored Vehicle they got from Sebas.

After everyone was gathered Miko led their departure and they all left Grim City.

A few hours later, Mari stood in the practically empty city with someone at her feet.

This person was Andre Bernard. Earlier she saved him from the robot before Alec’s flames could destroy him.

She silently took out her phone and dialed a number.

“Hello.”

Someone answered.

“Ringo, where is Noah?”

“Oh, MYTH’s Princess. If it’s Noah you want he’s not here at the moment. He’s at the New Era general meeting.”

“General meeting?”

“That’s right. He’s meeting with the leaders of Hell Dynasty, Apostasia, and of course MYTH. In other words, your father is there as well.”

“If there’s a general meeting then why aren’t you, the leader of Nexus, there as well.”

“My, calling me the leader is a bit too much. I can’t even keep Killo and the others in check. Besides we’re a combat force that only come together when there’s a need for a massacre, so we mostly spend our time in the other branches. For example, Killo and myself stay in Genesis for most of the time. So there’s no need for us to have a representative in the meeting.”

“Whatever, all of you in Nexus are just a group of blood thirsty monsters anyway.”

“My, you’re making me blush.”

Mari almost had the urge to vomit when she imagined Ringo’s wrinkled face blushing.

“Anyway, give Noah this message. I failed to recruit Jin Makoto, but I was able to nab his back up.”

She lifted Andre as she said that.

“Tell him to inform Enlil that we got his new Proxy ready.”

“I see. I’ll be sure to tell him.”

After that the conversation ended.

“Now then….”

Mari lifted her hands in the air, and the red lines which made up the spell formation suddenly lit up.

*Booom!*

The ground started to burst open as black tentacles started coming from underground.

“ROOOAAAARRRR!”

A deafening roar echoed out as more and more tentacles started burst through the ground.

A think miasma started to cover the city and caused everything to decay and melt.

“Looks like its ready.”

Mari mumbled.

She clasped her hands together in front of her and the black tentacles starred to be compressed which caused the beast underground to roar in agony.

She then lifted her hands up.

*BOOOOOOM!*

The ground burst open as a mountain size blob floated in the sky.

“Seal!”

The moment Mari said that a strange symbol appeared on the blob which caused it to condense even further.

She then took out a brief case and opened on the ground. She then waved her hand and the blob condense further and flew into the suit case.

The moment all of it entered it, the brief case closed by itself and a “IV” with a lion appeared on it.

Mari then snapped her fingers and and chains appeared around it.

“Zodiac Parasite Suit: Model Leo 4th generation is now finished.”

She said as she picked up the brief case.

“Mission accomplished.”

“The creation of a Zodiac Parasite Suit is always fun to watch.”

Said Alec who was watching the city crumble from a far.

“The 4th generation should be very interesting as well. Considering that Miko only fought against the 1st generation I wonder if he take all suits as a joke. If that’s the cast it might cause him his life.”

In order to create a single zodiac suit one need to sacrifice millions of lives and use them as a catalyst to bring forth something truly evil in this world.

Creating one suit was not only time consuming but also costly.

“Hm?”

Alec felt something vibrate in his pocket and took out his phone.

The caller ID said “Kiri”.

Alec’s face immediately paled when he saw it.

“Let’s pretend that I didn’t see it.”

He said as he slowly put his phone away.

“Don’t you dare ignore me, you brat!”

Before he could fully placed his phone into his pocket he heard an angry female voice coming from the phone.

Alec quickly pulled back out the phone when he heard that.

“Dear sister, please don’t joke like that. I wouldn’t dare to ignore a call from you even if I had mountain-sized balls.”

He quickly said.

He looked on his phone screen and saw a beautiful woman with purple hair and blue eyes. She had a beautiful yet stern face.

This was the Alec’s older sister and the only person who could keep him under control, Kirika Dragna also known as Dragon Sword Kirika or simply Kiri by her family and friends.

“Liar. If I hadnt hacked into your phone you would’ve ignored me.”

“No way. I wouldn’t be so rude.”

‘Damn it! How is she able to hack my phone so easily all the time?!’

Alec shouted in his mind.

“Whatever.”

Kirika sighed.

“Alec, I’ve been searching for you all over the Day Continent. I’ve checked every bar, whore house, strip club, escort services, and brothel I could find.”

Alec shouted in his mind.

Alec face paled when he realized he spoke the last sentence out loud.

“I wouldn’t know what I would do with myself! You’re the world’s greatest sister!”

He quickly said.

If Mari was to see the great Alec of the Bloodflame acting like a child in front of his sister, she would be shocked speechless. Not only she, but millions would’ve.

“Is that so?”

Kirika said with indifference.

“Anyway, where are you Alec?”

“I’m afraid I can’t tell you that for safety reasons.”

“What safety reasons?”

“Mine. I don’t want to be chopped to pieces.”

Alec said seriously.

“I’ve had enough of your jokes. We’re heading towards the Silver Continent soon, but we can't leave without you.”

“Huh? The Silver Continent?”

“Yeah. We’re going to meet with Tiamat’s proxy and negotiate some stuff. Weren’t you listening to Grandfather when we held the last branch meeting?”

“O-Of course.”

‘I was setting up an one night stand with a princess of a neighboring country during the meeting, so I naturally never heard a thing said in that meeting.’

He thought to him.

“I was so eager I even came to the Silver Continent and met Tiamat’s proxy ahead of you."

“Really now?”

Kirika was surprised to hear that Alec was already a step ahead of them.

“What’s he like? This Miko.”
