“The rate the formation is spreading is a bit off.”

Said Alec as he observed the spell formation.

“I get it. The stronger the blood it absorbs the faster it spreads. I just sensed the death of a S Class just now, so that must be the case.”

Mari who was beside him neither confirmed or deny his theory.

He looked at her with a smile.

“Sticking around me won’t change my mind about joining you people you know.”

“That’s not my intention.”

Mari answered.

“Oh, really. Then do you share your intentions.”

“I’m observing you. Leaving an unpredictable element like yourself alone in my city would be really stupid.”

Alec started laughing.

“What could I do that would harm you? Steal your technology? I can recreate those myself. Steal your alchemy? The alchemy methods hidden here are far inferior to my own. Slaughter your people? You’re already doing a great job at that.”

Alec smirked.

“There’s nothing here that interests me in any way. Besides if there were, I doubt a Marionette(puppet) like yourself could hope to stop me.”

He pointed at the sky.

“You would need to send your real body to stand a chance.”

“…..Even so, I’ll still keep an eye on you.”

Alec shrugged.

“Suit yourself.”

He looked away from her.

“I’ll make it clear once again. The only thing I’m interested in is the actions of my cousin, nothing more.”

“What’s so special about him?”

Mari asked with a probing tone.

Alec smiled in return and said-

“We’ll just have to wait and see, don’t we?”

It was the evening in the Business District.

Bloom and Luna had been fighting for several hours now. Every time either of them thought that they could win in the next few moments, the other surprised them with their strength.

Even though Bloom had the power of gravity on her side, Luna was able to withstand it thanks to her armor.

*Boom!*

She was forced 15ft underground by a gravity infused punch from Bloom.

*Boom!*

Bloom followed up with a gravity ball and created a giant hole in the ground.

A rainbow colored light peeked between the cracks in the ground and a laser burst out from underground and hit Bloom.

*Boom!*

Bloom was forced back after she blocked the laser with her bare hands.

“Haah~! Hah! Hah~!”

She stood in place and breathed heavily.

Her entire attire was filled with rips and tears, and her body was covered in blood.

Just one look and you could tell that she experienced a difficult fight.

*Boom!*

Luna forced herself from underground and also stood there breathing heavily.

Her silvery armor was filled with numerous dents, and had completely lost it majestic look.

Luna held her sword tightly and glared at Bloom.

She had to admit that the girl in front of her was something else.

Without a single weapon or armor, she furiously clashed with Luna over and over again without backing down.

She knew before hand that Bloom was a hand to hand combat specialist, but this was too much for a 16 year old girl’s suppose to produce.

“She easily have the qualifications to become a pillar, if she wants to.”

Luna said as she gathered power using her sword.

“It best to get rid of her here!”

Luna’s figure disappeared and reappeared next to Bloom while swinging her sword towards her neck.

Bloom reacted in time and used her powers to levitate.

A rainbow sickle cut through the air and sliced a building in two.

Bloom who escaped the attack lifted her hand above her head and a giant gravity ball appear over her head.

She pointed downwards and the gravity ball fell towards the ground.

Luna’s sword lit up again.

She gripped it tightly and swung the sword over her head with all of her might.

*Boom!*

The sword block the gravity ball and sent it back up into the sky like a baseball.

Seeing that, Bloom remained calm and stop it with her palm.

The ball suddenly doubled in size while in her grasp.

She gently pushed it and it fell back towards the ground.

Several gravity ball of similar size appeared behind Bloom and charged towards the ground as well.

Luna clicked her tongue and poured more power into the sword and caused it to grow in length and width.

With a loud roar she swung her blade overhead and clashed with the first gravity ball.

*Boom!*

Her feet sunk into the ground when she blocked the giant gravity ball.

*Boom!*

The other gravity balls collided and placed immense pressure on Luna’s sword and body.

The already cracked road burst open as a crater formed under Luna.

She stood her ground and used all of her strength to prevent herself from getting crushed.

“This is truly impressive.”

Bloom commented as she floated in the air.

She formed another gravity ball in her hand, however this ball suddenly molded itself into a spear.

She flung it and it collided with the gravity balls that was pressuring Luna.

Something unbelievable happened next.

The gravity spear suddenly slip through the gravity balls and hit Luna directly in the chest.

*BOOM!*

“Guh?!”

Luna was forced to her knees because of the blow she received in her chest.

She was no longer able to stop the gravity balls and they fell on top of her.

*BOOM!*

She was crushed by a heavy force and a deep crater was formed with her at the center.

Bloom looked down and saw her deeply embedded into the earth, with her armor in ruins.

Blood leaked from the armor and stained the ground.

Bloom stayed afloat and was breathing heavily than before.

She had used a quite a lot of her power to suppress Luna to this extent. Because of her exhaustion, she couldn’t follow up with another attack.

She slowly landed at the edge of the crater and fell to her knees and was trying to catch her breath.

Her entire body trembled as she slowly got to her feet.

She looked down in the crater again.

“?!”

To her surprise, Luna was gone.

*BOOM!*

“Cough!”

Bloom suddenly felt a powerful blow to her back and saw a steel plated arm sticking out of her stomach.

“You’re getting annoying, little girl.”

Luna said with her face stained in her blood.

Her eyes were furious, and had a deadly light in it.

She lifted her crescent blade and slashed down on Bloom’s back after removing her arm.

Bloom’s blood spurted out like a hose as she nearly collapsed on the spot.

Luna twisted her arm for another attack, but Bloom used her powers to repel her away in the nick of time.

Bloom also distanced herself from Luna while holding her stomach wound.

She used her powers to keep herself from bleeding out and took a small case from her cleavage.

She opened it and took out a capsule that was inside and threw it into her mouth.

After a few seconds, Bloom’s body showed signs of healing. But it wasn’t rapid healing on the level of Miko’s. It was just enough to keep her from dying.

“That was the last one.”

Bloom said as she calmed her breath.

What she took was a healing supplement that was only available on the black market. It had the power to boast a person’s regenerative ability.

It goes without saying that this pill could save a person’s life a countless amount of times. So it was naturally expensive.

The fact that Bloom has one was because of Miko, who made Exsul stock up on them for the war.

Miko didn’t just give Bloom a single pill, he gave her a total of twelve; all of which she used in her fight against Luna.

That’s right the only reason Bloom survived so long was thanks to the pills.

12 times.

If Bloom didn’t have the pills she could’ve died 12 times already. That showed how intense her battle with Luna was.

But now she was out of pills, and only had one life to stand up against Luna.

“You’re finally out of pills. Then killing you will be far easier.”

Said Luna.

She said that but it wasn’t like Bloom was the only one who survived this battle because of third party assistance.

If it wasn’t for the fact that the Lunar Armor had a self repair function and could also heal the user, she would’ve died many times as well.

The two both escaped death because of a third party, but now one of them lost their advantage.

“This time for sure, I’m gonna kill you!”

Luna’s sword and Armor started glowing.

The sword changed shape and turned into a broad sword with a full moon on it.

Luna’s armor also became bulkier and the crescent moon on the chest plate changed into a full moon. Two giant cannons materialized on the shoulders and aimed at Bloom.

“Well….”

Muttered Bloom as she looked at Luna who was now in a monster of an armor with a giant sword.

“Looks like I might really die, if I don’t do something.”

That’s when Miko’s words flashed in her mind.

“Remember whose woman you are.”

When she remembered his cocky expression she suddenly felt a bit pressured.

“Trying not the sully your name might be harder than I expected.”

She swung her hand to the side.

“But I guess I got to try it, even if I must put my life on the line.”

She started pouring all of her remaining power in her palm.

A purple orb was formed.

Static started emitting from the orb.

*BOOM!*

A loud explosive sound came from the orb, which shook the area.

Luna sensed that Bloom was trying something and decided to attack before she could finish.

“Moon Cannon!”

The cannons on her shoulders quickly generated light and fired at Bloom.

*BOOM!*

The blasts from the attacks hit Bloom dead on.

She didn’t even made an attempt to avoid it which confused Luna.

That’s when she thought she saw the smoke from the explosion twist and warp for a second before dispersing.

When the smoke cleared Bloom was seen standing there completely stained in her own blood.

Her body was trembling and her clothes were torn and looked like old rags on her.

Even so, the orb in Bloom’s palm didn’t disappear.

In fact it even grew further. The static around it also increased and became even more wild.

“Tch!”

Even though Luna didn’t know what Bloom was planning she still rushed towards her with her sword.

“Die!”

The sword swung down on Bloom’s body.

*BOOM!*

“?!”

Luna widen her eyes in shock because her sword warped before her eyes and was redirected to the side.

The shockwave blew Bloom away and caused her body to bounce of the ground a couple times.

She slowly rose with her body shaking like a wet puppy.

“The hell?”

Luna was puzzled by what happened to her sword earlier and became cautious of Bloom.

She decided to stay from a far and attack her with her strongest Cannon attack.

“S-Success.”

However before she could she do that, the orb in Bloom’s hand had changed into a blade.

This blade was solid unlike her previous gravity attacks. It was purple and black and looked almost like a katana.

“Newton Blade.”

Bloom pointed the sword at Luna while trembling.

“Y-You die now!”

“Hmph! The one who will die is you!”

The cannons on Luna’s back charged up and fired an attack several times stronger than the previous one.

*BOOM!*

It caused the entire area to shake, and roared like a dangerous beast.

Bloom didn’t move and simply held out her sword.

Her body suddenly flew towards the blast like it was being dragged.

Bloom quickly appeared before the blast and the blast that was about to destroy bloom suddenly bent unnaturally as if giving way for her.

“What!”

This naturally shocked Luna.

Bloom appeared in front of her and the sword stabbed towards her as if it had a mind of its own.

Luna quickly lifted the broad sword to stop it.

*BOOM!*

She felt like was suddenly hit by a meteorite as her entire existence was being warped.

She heard some cracking sounds and saw that her armor was being twisted apart by an invisible power.

Even the sword in her hand was twisting like it was made out of wet clay.

Luna noticed that not only her, but everything around her was beginning to twist and warp unnaturally.

It was as if reality was being twisted by a child.

“Wh-What the hell is going on?!”

She shouted as she saw a building being bent into a S.

She looked at Bloom, who was limped while holding the sword, and the sword itself.

“What the hell is up with you and that sword?!”

Bloom didn’t reply immediately and only started laughing.

“As someone who lives in this city don’t tell me you didn’t know what’s responsible for holding matter together so that it can form something?”

She lifted her bloody face and smirked at Luna.

“Gravity! Gravity is responsible for the creation of most existences. Without it, not even things as illustrious as stars and planets would exist! So what would happen if I who control such a powerful force was concentrate it all into a single form?”

As bloom spoke Luna felt her body being twisted and torn apart.

“There’s nothing that doesn’t bend under gravity.”

Bloom’s eyes shone bright as she shouted.

“Go to hell, Luna Isabel!”

*BOOM!*

Everything suddenly started twisting with Luna at the center.

“Ahhhhhh!”

Luna released a miserable scream as her very existence was being torn apart.

“Infecteds! You damn Infecteds! Why?! Why must you continue to take everything from me?!”

She cursed as her arms and legs were twisted off her body.

“I hate you! I hate you all! Die! Die! DIE!”

She screamed until her head was twisted off and her armor shattered and reduced to dust.

When everything finally settled, everything was twisted about like waves in the ocean.

Whether it be the ground, the buildings or even the corpses. There was nothing that wasn't warped under the effects of Bloom’s Newton Blade.

It was like a piece of art done by a mad artist.

“I…..won.”

Bloom fainted and fell on the ground with the Newton Blade still in her hand.

She had used her powers to warp the matter existing around her to create it, so it wouldn’t just disappear after she fainted. It was a permanent existence that she earned after pouring her very will into it.

It was because she was busy creating it that she couldn’t fight back against Luna’s attack and was once again on the brink of death.

But to her it was worth it.

She was able to get her revenge, and even got some for Jin and Sapphire as well.

She was completely satisfied, which was why she had a smile on her face even now.

One second day, the moon rose in the city’s sky and signified the third major death of the war.

Two Pillars dead, and one Syndicate leader with them.

Even so, the war was far from over.
