When Sami announced his intentions to fight her, Bloom who was lost in her own thoughts was surprised.

She had never really interact with Sami before so she couldn’t figure out why he wanted to fight her. It’s not like they had a grudge or were rivals or anything, so this challenge truly puzzled her.

As for Miko he instantly knew the reason Sami issued bloom a challenge.

“I thought that Bloom would be safe from Jin’s enemies as long as she stays in the academy, but it looks like I was once again too naïve. To think that Luna Isabel would target her during this tournament just to get back at Jin.”

Miko clenched his fists and silently watch everything unfold.

Miko wasn’t the only one who figured out what was going on, so did Jun and Kaido.

Kaido didn’t say anything, but Jun couldn’t help but to frown.

‘What are you thinking, Luna? Jin Makoto isn’t the only one you’ll piss off if you hurt Bloom Newgate, or worse kill her.’

He looked over at Miko and saw that there was a calm look on his face. However he could sense that he was furious but was just keeping it hidden.

‘What should I do? If I stop this fight I’ll be at odds with Luna, not only that but the audience might get upset and think that I’m favoring Bloom. But if I let this happen and bloom loses and gets tormented by Sami, this tournament will turn into a blood bath.’

Jun started weighing the cons and pros to letting this fight happen.

‘Ahhhh! Screw it! All I can do is wish that Bloom forfeits the match before it gets serious!’

In the end he decided to leave it to fate.

“Bloom Newgate you have been challenged using a Ruler’s Decree! Since the Ruler who challenged you is of higher rank, you have no right to refuse!”

He shouted.

“Please take the field!”

Sami smiled when he heard Jun’s words.

The one thing that he was most afraid of was jun refusing to carry out this match. Since jun was a Pillar and the Headmaster of the academy, his words were law here. Not even he could go against them.

After a bit of hesitation, Bloom entered the field.

“I guess I’ll just forfeit at the start of the match. I might lose my status as a Throne but I can also regain it in the next tournament.”

She mumbled as she walked towards Sami.

“Good evening, Gravity Queen.”

He greeted her.

“Killer Throne.”

Bloom gave him a simple nod to acknowledge his greeting.

“I hope we both can have fun sparing together.”

He said with a smile.

“Me too.”

‘Although I’m gonna forfeit as soon as the match starts.’

She thought to herself.

“Oh, want me share a piece of interesting news with you about your beloved leader?”

“?!”

Bloom who had a carefree attitude all along, suddenly became serious after hearing Jin’s name.

“What are you trying to do?”

She said with a growl.

“Nothing really. I just saw that you’ve been oddly absentminded lately and thought that this info might improve your mood.”

Bloom’s angry tone didn’t affect Sami in the slightest as he just shrugged.

He then smiled evilly and said-

“The one who order your beloved Jin to massacre those people at the hospital which drove him to insanity was Luna Isabel.”

“?!”

Although Edward had long told her that it was Luna who ordered the massacre, hearing it from Luna’s protégé had more weight than hearing from Edward.

“So it was that bitch.”

*Crack!*

The ground under bloom’s feet started cracking open and pebbles started to slowly float into the air.

“Wait, there’s more.”

Sami pointed at himself.

“The one who gave Luna the idea was me!”

“….I see.”

The floating pebbles fell back on ground, and floor stopped cracking.

All of the emotions left her face as she said-

“Then I guess I’ll kill you first.”

*Boom!*

A crater suddenly spread open under Bloom.

Rocks the size of a car started floating in the air.

The entire coliseum started shaking as if it was going to be uprooted.

“Tsk! She got baited.”

Miko was naturally able to hear what Sami said to her, so he knew why she was mad.

“…..Battle Start!”

After much hesitation jun announced the start of the battle.

Bloom swung both arms to the side and two hazy looking purple orbs appeared in her hands.

These were gravity balls.

“Die!”

She threw the gravity balls at Sami which moved faster than a bullet.

Sami smiled jumped to avoid them.

*Boom!*

The balls exploded and everything in the area was drawn into the explosion and immediately broke down and reduced to dust.

Sami felt like he was being pulled in despite having jumped, so he knocked his heels together and wing shaped thrusters appeared on the sides of his boots.

He was wearing Hermes’ Sky Boots.

The thrusters activated and Sami flew into the air.

“Don’t you dare use the same gadgets as Jin!”

Bloom swung her hand and the floating car-sized rocks shot towards Sami.

He skillfully maneuvered out of the way and avoid the rocks flying towards him.

He pulled out a cube and squeezed it.

A light flashed and two Tridents appeared out of nowhere.

“Lets have a little fun!”

Sami fired both Tridents and an overwhelming blast rained down towards the earth.

Bloom thrust one of her palms forward and everything in its path distorted before being destroyed by a invincible force.

*Boom!*

The force hit the blasts coming from the Tridents and forced them to bend before colliding into each other.

“Wha?!”

This shocked Sami.

“Sami Diaz!”

Bloom shot into the air like a rocket and headed towards Sami.

“Well, this just got even more interesting!”

Sami pressed a button on the side of the Tridents which caused them to transform into cannons twice their original size.

“Trident: Demolition Mode!”

*Boom!*

The blasts released by the Tridents were at least twice as huge and thrice as powerful.

They hit bloom head on.

“Gravity Barrier”

A hazy purple orb suddenly covered bloom and blocked the blasts. However, bloom was still sent crashing into the ground.

Sami rushed down firing the Tridents nonstop on her.

“?!”

That’s when he suddenly felt something dragging him down towards the ground, before he knew it was forcibly slammed into the ground.

*Boom!*

He crashed so hard that he caused the ground to burst open.

He was continuously pressed down on the earth and could even hear his bones. cracking.

“Sky Boots Self pilot mode!”

The thrusters on the side of his feet suddenly erupted and he was catapulted into the air.

The moment he launched into the air he saw the spot he was just in flatten as if it was stomped on by a giant’s foot.

“Looks like I underestimated her.”

The same time he said that he was suddenly covered by a huge shadow.

“Hm?”

He looked up and saw it.

“A meteorite?!”

That’s right. Bloom had used her powers to drag a meteor out of space.

“Where have I seen this before?”

Miko said as he watch the meteor crash towards the earth.

“Shit!”

Sami put away the Tridents and took out a white sword with a golden hilt.

“Durendal RX!”

This sword was MYTH’s Durendal RX that was based on the legendary General of Charlemagne, Roland’s Durendal.

Durendal was a holy sword that was said to contain materials from multiple saints, and was brought down to the earth by an archangel.

It was said to be indestructible and the sharpest sword in existence.

Sami swung down such a weapon which caused everything to split in two.

Whether it was the ground or the sky, everything had seemed to have been cut.

*Boom!*

The meteorite was cut into two and was about to fall onto the city.

“Gaia!”

Jun suddenly shouted.

“Threat recognized.”

A beam suddenly shot from who knows where and destroyed the meteor.

“Threat neutralized.”

The computerized voice disappeared after saying that.

Seeing that he was safe Sami sighed in relief.

“Gravity orb!”

“?!”

Bloom suddenly appeared behind him and slammed a spinning purple orb into his back.

“Guah?!”

He was sent crashing into the ground with orb twisting in back.

*Boom!*

The orb suddenly grew bigger than him and pressed him deep underground while creating a giant crater which continued to expand.

Above in the air, the fragments of the meteor suddenly started clustering together.

*Boom!*

The gravity orb exploded and a bloody Sami shot into the air.

“?!”

But before he could react several small meteors made out of the previous destroyed meteor fragments fell down towards him.

*Boom!*

The first meteor hit him and forced him to the ground again, and then five more meteorites crashed on top of each other which caused the entire field to blow up.

“Oi, isn’t that girl too powerful to be ranked 6th?”

Somebody just had to ask after seeing Sami continuously being suppressed.

“This is the 2nd Ranked Killer Throne you know?”

Bloom display of power not only shocked the audience it also shocked Miko and Jun.

“I knew that she was powerful but it looks like I underestimated her.”

Miko mumbled to himself.

*Boom!*

Sami appeared from underground after releasing and a strong burst of magic.

However, he was immediately sandwiched between four giant gravity balls.

“Guah?!”

He felt like his entire existence was being crushed from all angles.

“Fuck!”

He suddenly roared and released a huge surge of magic which blew away the gravity balls.

“I didn’t expect that you would be this powerful….”

A creepy smile appeared on Sami’s face.

“That’s great! Now I can use this with pleasure!”

Sami’s figure suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front Bloom.

Bloom didn’t look the slightest scared.

Sami swung his arm and she did too.

*Boom!*

Sami was blown away to the side.

Bloom spun in the air and was about to shot towards him.

“Ugh?!”

Her body suddenly felt heavy and she fell towards the ground.

“Cough! Cough!”

She started to feel strange as her temperature rose and her eyes became hazy.

She looked at her arm and noticed a syringe sticking into her arm.

“Infected Suppressant!”

She shouted with a surprised voice.

When Miko came here with Sapphire, she told him about the drugs that were used to suppressed an Infecteds abilities.

Sami just used one of these drugs on bloom.

She tried to get up, but her body didn’t have the strength.

“I used an extra strong suppressant. So not only will you be reduced to a normal teen girl, but you’ll be a lot weaker than one too.”

Sami’s Bloody figure appeared in front of Bloom pointing a trident at her.

“Checkmate, Gravity Queen.”

Miko saw what Sami was going to do and took a step forward to stop him.

“Son of a-”

However he was one step too late.

*Boom!*

Bloom was hit point blank with a blast without any defenses.

Her body was blown away completely disfigured and bloody.

She landed several meters away from Miko.

When he looked at her, all of her former beauty was nowhere to be found. Only thing that was left was her grotesque appearance.

Jun’s heart squeezed when he saw that.

As if sensing Jun’s worry, Sami spoke.

“Don’t worry. I set the trident to level where it won’t kill her.”

He smiled and said-

“But her beauty might be ruined forever.”

This sentence was accompanied by a wicked laugh.

The audience was silent as they looked at Bloom.

Her current appearance was impossible to match with her former one. She was just too hard to look at.

They all reconfirmed that Sami was a maniac in their minds.

While Sami laughed Miko looked at Bloom silently without moving a muscle or turning his eyes away.

It was like he was a statue absorbing everything in front of it.

Seeing Miko like this gave Kaido a very bad feeling so he instantly moved away. Not even Sola or Yota who wanted to check on bloom approached him.

Only Regis and Ishma stay at his side.

“Hey.”

Regis suddenly called out Sami who was still happily laughing on center stage.

“Hm?”

He looked at Regis who looked at him with pity.

Regis then opened her mouth and said-

“You know you fucked up, right?”

Before he could ask her what he meant, he felt a cold chill went up his spine.

He suddenly felt like he was about to be devoured alive by something.

He quickly looked around until eyes landed on Miko.

That’s when he instinctively took a step back.

Miko’s body was releasing a gray murky aura and cracks started appearing on his body like his existence was just a shell for something more evil and terrifying.

*Rumble!*

Suddenly the earth started shaking and sky started to blacken.

*Flash!*

Red lightning started flashing in the sky.

All through the city the ground started to crack open and ghastly howls echoed out.

Everyone there started to wonder if the world was coming to an end.

Tiamat who was in the 17th District was suddenly awoken from her sleep.

“Miko?”

Back at the academy the apocalyptic scene continued with Miko at the center.

He took a step forward and everyone felt as if the sky had fell on top of them. They were ants being crushed under a giant's foot.

With Deus Malum running out of control the sky might actually fall today.

This was what Regis thought.

But then-

*Clang!*

A metallic sound echoed out as chains appeared around Miko.

Theses chains weren’t being used by anyone, they appeared from within Miko, restraining him.

“Aug-ustus….”

The absentminded Miko muttered.

The chains suddenly tighten and fully restrained Miko until the grey aura slowly disappeared and everything returned to normal.

Once everything had calmed down, they disappeared and Miko regain his senses while breathing heavily.

Sami who watched all of this suddenly knew that he just barely avoid annihilation.

Not just him, but the entire city.
