《Mythical Conquest》Author Arrogantly Yet Humbly Explains Himself (Not A Chapter)

Yo, Kodyak here. I bet pretty much all of you found the last few chapters a bit off, now it's time for me to explained what happened.
Ahem. First of all, believe it or not but every chapter since the introduction of Blanche is about a year old. Yup, these chapters were written long before I even started this story.
How did this happen you ask? It's quite simple really. These chapters are from an older story. In fact the first story I've ever written.
Let me take this opportunity to talk about how Mythical Conquest came to be, and it's previous forms.
A couple years ago, I came up with a story while I was bored at school. I never thought about writing down though. It was just a nameless story I kept running in my head for when I'm bored. (Don't judge me).
This could be considered as the prototype to this story.
The story starts with a girl called Sasha who attended a battle academy at Grim City, which was one of the five great human cities of the world which was run by the organization called Grim Legacy.
Well anyway, Sasha discovered, i don't remember how, a boy her age called GD.
GD was amnesiac who didn't know his name or origin.
Oh, yeah. Sasha wasn't originally suppose to be Miko's mother but a friend or his limiter in a way.
Anyway, GD only remembered waking up in this city and being told by a person called Jun Mizune to attend the academy. GD knew that he was kidnapped or something similar but because of his naive personality he for some reason did as he was told. (I know bad writing. I was only 17 or so it couldn't be helped.)
Well anyway, let's fast forward . GD met a lot of people and had a lot of friends including Ace, Sora, Keima(Leon's prototype), and Bloom. He also met rivals like Nora and Lionel which I later fused to create Luka's character in this story.
Sasha and the others always felt that GD wasn't a normal human but they didn't know what he was exactly.
Fast forward again to where he chosen to represent his year in a battle between four academy headed by the Four Pillars. Pushed into a corner GD unleashed a dark power and his personality changed to an insane and evil person.
He killed the other team in the finals in front of millions who were watching and captured and sentence to life imprisionment.

Three years later he was Sasha and the others tried to break him out only to find out that Nora and Lionel already did.
Well anyway GD remember his first name as Gamiko and they started traveling the world to find out more about gamiko.
He met a lot of people including Hina who was originally a girl that had her village slaughtered by another village. Gamiko in rage slaughtered that village and adopted Hina who was only a few years younger than him.
Anyway, they got into a lot more conflicts and eventually clashed with a group, who will appear in this story as well, and was pushed to death's door.
They desperately escaped to an isolated island called Fairy Island to recover.
On that island they met a woman called Kuneida who was Momo's prototype. Shocked to see Gamiko she happily returned his memories where he remembered his past.
He remembered his name as Gamiko Dragna the third, as well as his family and that Kuneida was his cousin as well as his master.
I can't say anymore about the plot because I tend to use it in this story. But let me state the major difference.
First Miko was a demon. The entire Dragna clan were demons descended from Leviathan. I never knew about Tiamat at that time.
Second, Miko was Nova's son not his nephew.
Third, Tessa and Kristen never existed. Miko had a twin sister and a younger sister. Nova's sons Christian and Kouta were also his older brothers, which Christian being Miko's first master aand person who thought him how to kill.
Fourth, Kimiko, who was originally Aoi, was Miko's mother. Her character fused with Sasha's to become the current Sasha. Nero's wife was never revealed yet.
Fifth, Rouge was Kimiko's father as well as Nero's cousin. Rouge was Lucifer's son and Nero was leviathan's.
Sixth, Regalias were originally supposed to belonged to the 21 "evilest" persons in the world each represent one of seven colors and one of the seven deadly sins. Miko had the 17th regalia, Regis of the black wrath.
Oh Ishma's role never changed. She was sealed by Beelzebub, her father, until Miko made her his partner.
Eventually I felt like writing a story, but I didn't want to writing this one so I scraped everything and just keep the first part and fixed up.
The story second form was called War Games. This was inspired by Mahouka and A Certain magical index but more sci-fi.
It took place 100 years in the future after the Third World War.

So it was like this, the Third World War broke out after a number of strange events like the crashing of the Internet world wide, the bombings of various Third world countries, the disbanding of the UN, etc.
War eventually broke out which saw the introduction of modified humans that pretty much superhumans, as well as lots of powerful weapons. It was basically a no hold bars war where every goes.
After destroying three continents, the remaining countries signed a peace treaty but the war wasn't over. It just took the form of a more peaceful clash.
An olympics for superhumans. This is where the idea of the proxy system came from.
well anyway Miko who was called kisame was a legendary mercenary who killed for the countries in secret. His real name was actually Miko. The name Kisame Mizune was given to him after he was defeated and kidnapped by Jun Mizune and brought back to Grim city in Japan to represent them in the War Games.
The chapters you read was from that story and was actually one long chapter. It was the third chapter. The first saw Kisame meeting Yumeko a girl wanting to enter the War Games at the Academy.
The plot for this story was supposed to very complicated as Miko and Jun were actually brothers who with their other 5 siblings orchestrated the Third World War. In the end they had a falling out and killed each other, which Jun being the last survivor.
Jun destroyed their bodies and implanted their brains into new bodies with new powers and no memories of their past life and spread them across the world. Miko was raised by Infecteds in one of the secret war zones that the public were ignorant to, until they died and jun came for him years later.
Their new powers were that they were basically humanoid suns. They were all created and were homunculi.
They were all named after demons that represented the seven deadly sins. Miko was Lucifer of Pride, jun was Mammon of Greed.
To be honest, even now I wondered if I should've continued that story.
Well, I eventually dropped it at where last night chapter ended and started writing Death Bringer, which is my other story that's posted on here.
I started writing this story after being inspired by Mushoku Tensei which was the first reincarnate novel I've ever read. I fell in love with the genre and started writing this. This is the reason the first arc was pretty similar to Mushoku Tensei but darker.
I never intended to make this story as complicated as it is. But after finishing the first arc and not knowing what to do next, I decided to write a story that was like the prelude for the one I kept in my head for years.
Theres was only one problem, I stopped writing this story for a while and never reread it before writing Hina's arc. This is why the feeling of the story suddenly changed there. I only noticed that the atmosphere and characterization was different after I posted the first chapter of the second arc, which caused a riot.
I'll be honest with you, I've been winging it for all of the chapters leading this arc. There were countless times that I was like "What the fuck do I do now?!"
i just wanted to hurry up and reach the point where I can start writing the story that I had in my head. Everything else was just build up to me.
Even now the story hasn't really started to me. The story is much more adventurous and hella dark and pretty funny.
The 100+ chapters before this arc were just a chore for me to be honest.
I originally wasn't going to include this arc either, but I wanted Bloom, Kaido, and Jin in the story because I loved their characters.
I was originally suppose to create new content for this entire arc, but I just could pass up the opportunity for near a dozen already written chapters. So I just did a bit of editing and viola! The last 10 or so chapters is what you got.
A product of my laziness.
But don't worry, everything after this chapter is newly written to fit perfectly with this story.
Oh, the leader of Silver Crow, Jin is basically Miko/Kisame in the previous story War Games. So he's like a second MC, Kaido too. So watching out for those characters.
A bit of a spoiler. Miko will attend the academy in a few chapters, but he still spend most of his time in the city. So the academy while being important doesn't really get that much focus.
Oh, and yes. Bloom is meant to be apart of Miko's Harem and more.
So what did you guys think about the previous story prototypes? Should I have written them how they were? Or is the story better how it is now?

The Mortal Acts
The Mortal Acts is an epic progression fantasy with a lower focus on training aspects and a great focus on discovering new ways of using powers intelligently. I've always been drawn to stories where characters use their powers creatively to overcome opponents and obstacles, and I think all the possibilities can provide a great playground for twists and turns. It's inspired by a variety of media, including Will Wight's Cradle, Hunter x Hunter, and Bioshock, so if you like the creative power use elements from those, come check it out. This is my first serial, and please feel free to leave comments and feedback. For backstory, behind-the-scenes, and other fun stuff, come chat on my discord! His mother is inching towards death with every passing day, but if he doesn’t face down the Deathless, what little civilization the Frontier holds will be overrun and destroyed.
