Amalia threw a torch into a stack of hay. The resulting action caused it to burst into flames. She turned her back to the now roaring flames. Rinae stood next to her with the hood obscuring her face. “You can walk in undetected now.”

Rinae hissed at her. “You underestimate our stealth.”

“Yes, I do. They stopped your hive in Beka and sent you flying away with your tail between your legs.” Amalia snapped back at her. Hostility would be met with hostility. The hay fire began to spread to the nearby horse stables, the horses began to whiney and stomp around. “Go now, I’ll clean up what you leave behind.”

Rinae’s patience with Amalia was nearing its end. It's a good thing she told her that she could now go into the church. Several men came out panicking when they saw the fire. As tempting as it was to want to attack them she had gone for the main entrance. The entrance was completely elegant, The archway was surrounded by vines and orchids leading all the way to the front door. It would have been beautiful if there hadn’t been a giant plume of black smoke coming from the side of the building. The moment she entered the room, memories flooded back to her from the first hive she established. The layout was slightly different as there were three floors instead of the one, but everything had been mostly the same, The pews arranged in sets of tens, the stained glass window allowing the light to dye the floor with the image of the deity of compassion, Ostus. A stout man wearing a headdress that adorned a bright red star sat at one of the chairs next to the altar. He had been reading a book when he noticed the two girls walk in.

“Ah! Amalia, long time no see!” His face lightened up with glee seeing her presence.

“Hello, minister.” She said dryly.

“Come to confess to your sins?” He chuckled, the fat on his face jiggling.

“Actually, yes minister. I have.”

His attitude changed slightly. “Oh… and your friend? Have they also come to confess?” he said pointing to Rinae, she was walking through the aisles of the pews in a zig-zag.

“No minister, she’s just with me.”

“Ah, then come. kneel, I shall hear what you have to say to the lord.” He got up from his chair and stood directly in front of the altar. She did exactly that, she came to him and knelt at his feet.

“Now my child, What sins are you asking to be forgiven?”

“I’ve committed a terrible sin, to those who opened their arms to me... I’ve led them to their deaths.”

He chuckled, “Is that all? You’re a holy knight, Death of your subordinates are to be expected!”

“No minister, not my men.” She unsheathed her sword and pierced the minister’s heart. “Those of this church. I’ve led them to their deaths.”

His eyes bulged with pain. His only reaction was to grab the blade that stabbed him. Amalia pushed the blade in further. She grabbed the back of his head and lowered him down to the floor, he looked Amalia in the eyes, breathing his last breaths. She removed the blade from his chest and turned to where Rinae once was only to find her missing. Two bodies fell from the upper floors. Amalia was startled by the sudden collision with the floor. Looking at the bodies revealed young squires then third fluttered down with grace.

“Too slow. I’ve already gotten more food.”

Amalia looked down at the two squires, A boy, and a girl. They couldn’t have been more than their teens. That’s when she began seeing ghosts her past. She was playing in this very chamber, running with her friend. Her friend another girl was holding a stick brandished to look like a sword, the two would occasionally connect identical sticks giggling pretending they were holy knights of the church. That's when her friend ran down a flight of stairs. being the child that she was she followed. Amalia was snapped out of her daze when she heard the sound of bones snapping. Looking over it was Rinae snapping open ribcages to get to the magical organ. The sight of her doing that just seconds after they were killed was sickening. She looked away towards the area her friend of the past had run down. She turned right back around to Rinae to give her a final order.

“Leave no one alive.”

Rinae’s smile was filled with blood and tiny bits of flesh. Another sight that would surely fuel a nightmare filled dream. And she took off down towards the stairs, sword at the ready.

Rinae’s smile faded as Amalia removed herself from the vicinity. She gulped down the remaining pieces of flesh, she could slowly but surely feel her power returning to her. This church was going to be a buffet. Perhaps she would have the orcs build her a place like this once she cleaves the head of the false queen.

She began hearing voices on the floor above her, she took to the nearest pillar and climbed upward. Two knights were running towards a door. Presumably, this might have a direct correlation to the fire, how could she not take advantage of this situation.
