《Parasites and Magic》Forest 4

Rina’s claws emerged from inside the magic produced cocoon. She pushed away in different directions. It didn’t take long for her to be standing in front of the husk. The first of her metamorphosis was her height; it had changed drastically. She was just as tall as Iseca give or take a few inches. She could feel that her hair was touching the top of her shoulders if left unparted her hair would cover the entire left side of her face. The chitin seemingly crept upward now including the majority of her bicep. The same results had happened for her leg chitin as well. It now covered up to her thighs.
She touched her face, the positioning of her facial armor had changed. Instead of being on the top of her head, it was thinly spread along the side of her face. The one thing she did notice was that she was once again naked, of course, Clothes would have been broken down and used in the growing process. Without them, however, she was bare regarding protection, seems this form favored offense over defense there was also the addition of the flesh sacs on her chest, they looked pretty useless to her.
She took her first step out of the cocoon, her movements were very clumsy. Her footing had also changed. Her feet were hiked up in a high heel fashion. She looked around, easily she saw the magic flowing through the root’s veins. Alongside her freshly enhanced magic perception she also felt like the world became clearer, more understandable. It was as if she was walking around clouded before now. She approached one of the edges of the root prison. She placed a claw on the section of root. The plants began to wilt as she drained the magic.
From the looks of it, Iseca had used a great deal of magic to conjure these roots. Rina couldn’t feel anything but disappointment towards it. The amount to conjure it might’ve been great, but the maintenance was left to use very little.

The roots feel apart one by one until there was just a hole. Once there was a passage formed she looked around, The hobgoblin’s minions had been waiting for their leader to come back to them. Once they saw he was not the one to emerge but an entity entirely different to both, they went wild. They abandoned all signs of intelligent thought and charged forward at the newly developed Rina. She took a few steps ahead to meet her adversaries. The fastest one to reach her took a quick swipe at her with its claws. She didn’t feel as though she needed to move, after all, she was more robust than this weak creature.
Blue blood splattered on the ground. “Argh!” she screamed, this was the first time she ever felt pain, as a reaction she backhanded the goblin that cut her. She had already forgotten that she was more vulnerable. The goblin’s neck had snapped from the sheer force. She could dish of damage, but she’d have to remember to try and not get hit as much. The other eighteen or so goblins were still gaining ground on her position. She decided to use her brain to take care of them. She stepped back under the dome, the door she had created would limit how many would be able to enter at a time, giving her the advantage. Needless to say, it was an absolute massacre.
Rina touched the open wounds, she recoiled in pain. Luckily for her, the cut wasn't thick and the bleeding had stopped. She looked over to Iseca, she had remembered that she once told her the benefits of wearing specific materials. And since she was dead, she wasn’t going to need the protection.
The apparel consisted of leather shorts and a cloth shirt that had metals and leather strapped on. Rina had no use for the gauntlets seeing as she naturally had a pair. She spent the remaining hours of the sunlight consuming all the magic in the area, All that was left was the corpses and the signs of an apparent goblin attack. Now on a semi-empty stomach and a more capable offense she was ready to attack the village.

She approached the village bridge entrance, she just couldn’t waltz in any longer not looking like a child and wearing the now deceased Iseca’s clothes, she had to incite panic, something to disorientate everyone allowing her to slip by unnoticed. She remembered something at that moment.
That elf, Dirsk. Was able to create liquid through magic. Iseca was able to spawn roots. Maybe she could also do something like that? It’s not like she doesn’t have magic in her body.
She searched deep within. She could feel the organs used to break down the magic into her own usable energy. Everything with her pulsating and working as it should. She forced her organs to try and repel the magic away from being broken down. Nothing was happening, she tried harder and harder. Every pull she did she convulsed. The pain became unbearable, yet she didn’t stop, she kept pulling. She had dropped to her knees. At this point, she was violently coughing. Her insides burned like fire, her body was probably not meant to expel magic.
A minute or two of gagging she finally managed to bring the magic out, the only problem was it didn’t come out her hands, like a dragon she spewed an almost liquidus flame onto the bark of a tree. The blaze spared no time in spreading. It engulfed the tree trailing outward towards its branches in chances that it would reproduce on another surface. Leaves that didn’t burn up into ash landed like meteorites on the bridge. In minutes even the walkway was arched with flames.
Rina coughed and gagged. She felt like she just turned her stomach inside out, a feat she was not going to try again. She waited in safety for the flames to travel before she finally jumped up to meet the villagers.
