《Ultimate Cultivation Support》Young Master's Request

Ma Yuehao’s type was common in every world. Confident, loud, and believes he has the right to do things his way. The only problem was, his nobility didn’t matter much in the Longbow Sect, even if he was supposedly a distant, distant relative of the Sect Leader.
“So, what pills do you have? I need to get to 4-star as fast as I can.”
“I don’t have any.” Well, he lied. He had 6 4-star pills left. Well, he could probably refine some 4-star pills now that he had a Qi-cauldron, though, he probably had to do some upgrades to it if he wanted to improve it’s outcomes.
“Make me some.” Ma Yuehao said. “Here’s the materials I have.” He pulled out a spatial ring and unloaded a stack of Greenduck livers, some Gator parts, some herbs and flowers, mostly around 3-4 star raw materials.
“Uh...”
“Do your job, you’re an alchemist, right? We’re batchmates, and I’m the leader of our batch. It’s your duty to help your leader.”
Mingwei took a deep breath. This was common for alchemists, even back in his old life. So many sect masters would just barge in and demand things from him. The worse thing is, he often said yes, and well, he was going to say yes here too.
“Yes. But let’s take the ingredients elsewhere.”
He just somehow couldn’t say no. Not when there isn’t much at stake. Mingwei’s past were more than eager to jump on high quality materials and make pills from them, and alchemists as it were, tried to be neutral as far as they could. After all, when one’s looking for rare materials, it’s best to have friends everywhere.
Well, except for the Devourer Dragon. That was a line they never crossed. Not intentionally.

“Elder Qing had let me use this spare workshop.” At the side, there were 10 urns, all empty. Preservation Urns, with Normal-Grade preservation runes. With these, materials would not rot for months, if not years.
Ma Yuehao was pleased, of course. It is not easy to get Elder Qing to cook something up, since Elder Qing’s still focused on the Inner and Core Disciples for their tournament. The tournament is happening in less than 2 years. For these 4 star disciples, it’s an awfully short period of time, so Elder Qing’s been making pills for them regularly.
Ma Yuehao unloaded his materials. “The pills are mine, alright?”
Mingwei nodded, and he looked at the materials. He’d probably be able to make 60 pills 4 or 5-star pills out of them.”
“If I’m not mistaken, I should be expecting 30 4-star pills that are at least 1,900 Qi per day for a week. Right? I’ll get you more materials soon.”
He paused.
A 4-star material, just from a process of concentration alone should be able to provide 2,800 Qi per day a week. And that’s before any runic benefits, or other boosts provided by a special cauldron, or other unique Soul-Bound items!
Mingwei’s diluted midheaven pill was a salvaged pill, thus naturally the benefits were weaker, but making pills fresh is always better! A 3-star material made into a concentrated pill should produce 400 QI per week. Then again, Elder Qing’s processes for Qi-gathering pills were quite shoddy, and thus it was expected that they didn’t squeeze the maximum efficiency out of them.
Or perhaps it’s just poor workmanship at lower tiers?
“Yes, brother Yuehao.”
“Good. Get to work. How long do you need?”
Mingwei estimated he’d probably need a week, mostly to first fix his cauldron.
“Never mind. A month. I’ll be back in a month.”
“Yes, brother Yuehao.” Mingwei just nodded, there really was no point correcting the young master. He decided to just go along with it, eventually the young master will find someone new to play with.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
