《Construct Your Fate》Announcement

Spoiler: Spoiler
Argo gasps, which is somewhat of a strange action for an anchor, admittedly. “Lucas! I can control the chain! This is incredible!” He reaches up into his golem body and yanks himself out, falling to the ground.
He chirps excitedly. “Can you put it on me, Lucas? I want to try it on!”
Chuckling, I humor him and attach the chain to one of the rings on the top of his body. The chain stiffens and he rises up, held by it.
“Haha! I am like the silk snake we fought together!” His chain wraps around me again.
“Argo, this is incredible and all, but could you let go?”
“Oh. I am sorry, Lucas, I will go find someone else to hug.” He moves more like an inchworm than a snake, but moves out of the forge room, calling for Colt.
Moments later, Colt hobbles in wrapped in Argo’s chain. Argo is making kissy noises. “You made a chain that Argo can control?”
“Not intentionally, but I can already think of some good combat applications…”
Colt stares down at the anchor. “Hey, Argo, think we could do this later? I kinda need to run a shop. Besides, we need you making more weapon stock.”
“Sorry, Colt! I can let go!” The chain loosens instantly and Argo falls to the ground with a lighter thud than should be possible.
“Wait a second. Right. He’s made of Palemetal.” Picking up Argo, he’s much lighter than usual. “I was wondering how you were moving around on the chain, I guess your Palemetal is picking up on the levitation aspect and making you lighter.”
“Thank you, Lucas. As Becky says, I have been watching my figure.”
“Argo, you don’t even eat.”

Silence overtakes the anchor as he processes this. “Lucas, I want to eat.”
“I’m sorry buddy, but you don’t have a mouth. Maybe someday, okay?” A few simulated forms of eating run through my head for enchantment possibilities using deconstruction runes.
“Awww.”
“Well, while you two work this out, I’m gonna go back to the shop.” Colt slowly edges out of the room, watching Argo’s chain warily.
“I think it’s time we both get back to work, Argo.”
“Okay, Lucas. Let me get in my body on my own this time!” He scoots across the floor, pushing himself into the golem body with the chain and wrapping it around the body afterward.
“I can’t deny it, that’s convenient.”

Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?
