《Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess》Chapter 161 - Black Cat

A single word was a chore to say, but her will compelled her to answer his question. With this in mind, her own knees straightened before Long Jin and Long Cang’s continuously widening eyes.
“I’ve come…”
Her jaw tensed as her entire body wavered before she dug deep to finish it!
“To do the dragons’ work for them!”
****
As the vice-elder descended with an unholy level of fury.
The whisper on the wind that Long Di uttered brought forth the technique that he yearned to fully master.
“Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven. First variation, nine tempers.”
First temper.
K-K-Kling!
Second Temper.
Plang!
The saber unleashed a flurry of strikes that not only blocked the attacks of the disciples that surrounded him, but went one step further beyond.
The first temper parried their strikes with lightning accuracy. The second temper destroyed their weapons, sending metal fragments flying everywhere!
The nature of the tempers had it that the power grew through every strike, through every temper.
As of now, Long Di only got through the first two tempers and he could already feel the pressure from above bearing down on him even more from the vice-elder!
Shu!
The third temper came tearing through the wind as Long Di rose with it to meet the vice-elder’s blow!
The somatic essence was flaring off the vice-elder’s fist like a roaring flare whilst the lightning wreathed saber was destruction manifest!
Boom!
A deafening blast spread out from the point of impact, with shockwaves expanding in all directions!
“Ugh!”
The dust cleared to show the vice-elder’s right fist mangled with the exposed flesh crackling with lightning.
The saber intent made healing it an extremely taxing chore.
“Impossible!”
The disciples and other members of Nether Immolation War Temple were shocked by what they saw.
A Two Star Core Martial Master was suppressing a group comprising two One Star Core Martial Masters and a Four Star Core Martial Master!
“H-He can fight above realms!?” Yue Wang couldn’t believe it.
One must know that it is extremely hard to fight above one’s realm. This required one to be in control of one or more types of power that required a near inhumane level of talent!

This was something present in generation geniuses only.
Not just Yue Wang, all the disciples were drinking in the battle that went on between Long Di and the others.
Tsss…
Smoke rose from the vice-elder’s fist as the flesh wriggled about in an attempt to heal itself. However, the saber intent interfered at every turn.
‘I can’t suffer too much of these blows!’ the vice-elder thought to himself.
The runes all over his body glowed to signify the increase in strength it gave him.
This result placated him slightly, and he breathed in deeply, as if intoxicated by the pain and the increase in energy that came with it.
Eeeenngh!
The air cried out as the saber came flying down from an impossible angle towards him!
“What!?”
The vice-elder erected his defences in preparation, confident he would be able to take the blow thanks to his power-up.
“Fourth temper.”
Long Di finally got the hang of the fourth temper, resulting in a qualitative increase in strength!
Boom!
The vice-elder flew back as the saber cleaved a slash across his torso.
“Ack!”
He coughed up a mouthful of blood as he was sent flying back from the attack.
‘Again!’
Long Di pushed the assault and lunged towards his opponent to finish him off!
The vice-elder’s eyes widened as the overhead slash that Long Di prepared came hurtling towards him!
‘No!’ The vice-elder couldn’t believe this was his end.
“No, you don’t!”
Before the blow could land, a shout accompanied an attack that came from behind, aiming at Long Di’s back!
Two of the disciples came from Long Di’s blindside to save their vice-elder. Their attacks were aimed at his vital spots.
‘Danger!’ Long Di’s senses were being honed in the fires of combat and he could sense that these attacks would cause great damage should they land on him now!
If Long Di continued with his attack, their attacks would land without a doubt!
His somatic essence had not strengthened his body enough to handle brush off the blow generated by these disciples. In addition, spiritual qi didn’t focus on the body as much, so his defences were not that strong either.

The vice-elder sneered when he saw this. “Bad luck for you, brat!”
Long Di’s mind worked at high speed in a high tension situation. ‘Now I can be like other MCs and allow the bad guy to escape to avoid injury to myself or I can kill him and get injured. Meh… I hate pain, buuut… he does pee me off. So the question remains, do I hate him more than I hate being injured? Well, my body says no, but my mind, my mind is telling me yes.’
Long Di’s attack continued on its original trajectory.
“Suppression.”
Dum!
The vice-elder’s heart shook at the sight of this, “What!?”
Bang! Bang!
“Puah!” Long Di coughed up a mouthful of blood under the two somatic essence empowered strikes, but the worthy trade was a deciding strike on the vice-elder!
Krrssshh!
“Aaaahh!”
The vice-elder let out a bloodcurdling scream as the saber cleaved through his body!
The lightning summoned pain for every inch it violated before it fully bisected him.
The vice-elder stared at Long Di’s emotionless gaze as the life drained from his body.
“You called this upon yourself.”
These were the last words the vice-elder could register before the dark embrace of death took hold.
“Vice-elder!”
The disciples let out a roar of fury at the death of their vice-elder!
“You’ll pay for this!” One grit his teeth in rage.
“We’ll show just what members of the Nether Immolation War Temple can… what the!?”
“You just noticed?” Long Di wiped the bloodstain from the side of his mouth with a handkerchief.
The disciples realised that the circulation of their somatic essence was being slowed.
“That’s called cauldron suppression,” he calmly explained.
“What grade cauldrons are those!?” The disciples had a mix of white and red cauldrons so cauldron suppression was something they experienced before.
However, it was never to this degree. The somatic essence in their body slowed to a crawl.
Long Di took slow steps towards them to cut them down, and they knew it.
One actually stepped back as if he could see death itself nearing them both.
“S-Stop right there! We’re the disciples of the enforcement h-”
Long Di waved his saber, “Shut up.”
“Ah!”
The wave released a surge of lightning qi that engulfed them both. Long Di was an entire star core stronger than them both. They only surpassed him in regard to the strength of their physical body.
Even with that, they only survived this blow due to Long Di not using a technique against them, but just released a wave of his lightning qi to weaken them.
Their bodies were charred black, but the effects of the rune and the cultivation technique flared up, granting them a boon of strength.
However, the disciples didn’t feel any peace of mind with this in the least.
Long Di’s unfeeling gaze and lack of giving a fudge let them know that they weren’t even on his radar.
He spared the Shidashi Mao a glance and could feel his impression of that thing changing.
“That’s a very dark shade of red.”
…
“Where did he take it!?” Yaomu Shou asked in a panic as she whipped the Super Donkeys into a mad run.
“To the Nether Immolation War Temple. Why, what’s wrong!?” Feng Yu asked, obviously worried.
When Yaomu Shou was found by Shen Ling and she was dragged out of the deeper parts of Emo Valley, allowing normal sense to return to her, she was given a quick rundown of everything that took place during her less than edgy phase.
Cold sweat wet her back in an instant as she grabbed Feng Yu and took the Super Donkeys to find Long Di and that infernal thing!
“I thought he had found some way to control it or tame it, but I was wrong!” Yaomu Shou explained. “It still has full autonomy! And if that’s the case, then this can go south very fast!”
Feng Yu was still confused, “I don’t get it! Are you saying it can kill Long Di!?”
“Well…” she hesitated at this part.
“That’s not out of the question,” she admitted. She then looked at Feng Yu with a grave expression, “What do you know about black cats?”

Tales of the Legendary Scholar
They meet in the most unlikely moment and turned their life around. Freidrech newly arrived in his own nation's capital city, which is so foreign to him compared to his village's idyllic and nondiscriminatory atmosphere, after he is forced to come. Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Thus, the Tales of the Legendary Scholar begins. ------ o ------ Old Synopsis: A famous ancient adage stated, behind a successful man is a woman BUT… In these lands, the monarchs are seeking not a woman to stand behind them but the man hailed as the Legendary Scholar.
