The finger emerged from beyond the clouds and its destructive potential was awe-inspiring!

Now that Long Di was driving the martial technique forward, it really started to draw on the reserves of tribulation lightning stored within his physique and his spiritual force dropped rapidly as he aimed it where he willed!

This barrier was being powered under the sect’s reserves of spirit stones. After all, somatic essence had many limitations and one of those was its inability to generate a barrier of any kind.

The disciples within were staring at the thin shield that was the only thing between them and complete annihilation. The scene was both harrowing and… exciting!

They were beginning to feel their blood boil at the prospect of fighting such a strong enemy!

Long Di could see the barrier holding on despite the strength of his attack and decided to draw even more tribulation lightning from his body!

“Break for me!”

His shout heralded the surging influx of tribulation lightning energy into The Ultimate Flip Off, bringing it closer to its completed state!

His finger stripped, the skin peeling away under the lightning’s power! He could feel his body swiftly approaching its limit, just like what happened when he was at The Peach Blossom Sage’s will place back then.

His organs trembled and his bones creaked as it drove it further!

The barrier was shaking without end as its resilience was tested over and over!

At this point, his body was only a moment away from shattering. After all, at the end of the day he was only a 2 star core martial master going against the power of an entire sect!

He brought The Ultimate Flip Off to a close, which caused the finger to fade away. It wasn’t long before the lightning crackled off into evanescence.

As a result, the skies cleared, revealing the blue of the heavens and the warmth of the sun.

However, that warmth didn’t reach the plains or the inhabitants of it, for the coldness of war was brewing without end.

An intense feeling of exhaustion overtook him. This was the result of the draining of his spiritual force having it reach extremely low levels.

The barrier covering the Nether Immolation War Temple receded, revealing the inside once more.

The chief elder was the first to rush out the moment the barrier was fully relaxed!

“You fool!” he felt triumphant. He knew that an attack of such calibre would have taken a huge toll on anyone and this moment of weakness was the perfect time to take out Long Di before he could pull out any more tricks!

Long Di was on the ground trying to catch his breath. He lifted his head to see the Chief Elder with his hands outstretched, closing the distance between them.

Long Di stared at him as if he was staring at a fool. He only repeated his request once more.

“Hand them over.”

The Chief Elder sneered, “Die!”

Before he could get any closer, a furry shadow flitted past before a searing pain ran through the length of his chest!

“Argh!”

The Shidashi Mao! He forgot the Shidashi Mao!

‘Damn it!’ The Chief Elder wanted to beat himself up! How could he forget about arguably one of the most bloodthirsty and powerful magical beasts ever to curse these lands!?

The Shidashi Mao was staring at him from a distance. It looked like it was holding itself back.

The Chief Elder was looking at it in confusion. He had never seen a Shidashi Mao so still and composed before.

It then looked at Long Di as if asking for his verdict.

Long Di knew what it wanted, so he gave it to the go-ahead, “Sic em, all of em!”

The Shidashi Mao revealed a malicious grin and the Chief Elder felt his blood run cold as a result.

Its blood lust was finally let loose, and it was going to make sure to make the most of it.

Lord Whiskers Furryback The First locked its eyes on the chief elder and the Nether Immolation War Temple before making the first step.

Lord Whiskers’s figure disappeared owing to its extreme speed and before long it appeared to his right with its jaw wide open, ready to take a chunk out of him!

“Damn it!” His movements were hurried and unrefined due to being caught off guard, which resulted in a piece of his forearm being ripped off!

His face twisted in pain, and he quickly summoned his cauldrons to have a chance at survival!

All nine cauldrons burst into being with eight red, whilst the last remaining one was orange.

“A supreme grade cauldron? Not bad.” Long Di commented.

He took a seat in the lotus position, wanting to cultivate his energy to get as close to his peak as possible.

“You’re going to cultivate… right now!?” Commander Da Jun walked over, shocked at Long Di’s brazen nature!

“That’s right, I’m going to need to be as strong as possible to prepare myself. You might want to be on high alert yourself. We only have one Shidashi Mao, after all!”

As he said this, Long Di took out another spiritual stone from his storage ring.

“Sigh…”

“I only have like a hundred of these left. Then again, Shen Ling did body rob those corpses so I can top it up soon, I guess.”

While this was happening, three more elders came out to support the chief elder, who was in a sorry state at the moment.

It was only then that they were able to partially stabilise the situation somewhat.

The spirit stone flashed as Long Di circulated his cultivation technique. The black crystalline cauldrons spun slowly as they absorbed the spiritual energy that the stones in Long Di’s hands gave off.

A small dark cloud appeared overhead, mimicking a tribulation moment of some kind. The pressure he gave off was immense and someone at Da Jun’s level wasn’t prepared for this, so he retreated far enough away so that he wasn’t affected.

The spiritual qi in his body he directed straight into the physique itself, lest the steel stele take the divine energy he needed to be at his best.

The battle was heating up as all three elders suffered from numerous claw wounds. Lord Whiskers Furryback’s speed was clearly at the Martial Grandmaster level and this gave it the edge it needed to fight these experts.

One elder punched Lord Whisker’s in his side when he was mauling another elder, which sent it flying a short distance.

His figure dug a trench in the ground before it quickly regained its bearings. He rushed the elder and in the blink of an eye, its fangs were already in his chest!

“Argh!”

His shout of pain drew the attention of the other three elders, who quickly came to his assistance, or this beast was gonna snap him in half!

“Together!” The chief elder roared.

B-B-Bam!!!

They all landed a hit on Lord Whiskers’s body, which finally jolted the beast. The defensive capabilities of its fur was failing under their somatic essence empowered attacks!

So it released him, and he didn’t waste any time scurrying away with his injuries. The only saving grace for these elders was that their cultivation technique was similar to Huise Chongtu’s the fourth elder.

So all the damage they took was actually adding to their power. This was what was causing their attacks to finally do damage when it wasn’t earlier.

They just had to make sure they didn’t suffer any fatal injuries, which the Shidashi Mao was making a very good argument on why they should!

“Incredible!”

Commander Da Jun was watching the battle in amazement at the beast's combat prowess.

He then looked to the Nether Immolation War Temple and saw a few figures exiting it steering far and clear from the fight between Lord Whiskers and the elders on its way towards them.

One of the figures was someone he knew very clearly and the reason why he wanted to come.
