《Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess》Chapter 152 - Brief Battle

Huise Chongtu’s cauldrons burst into existence while he held his smile. He took a step forward and the ground fiercely shook in response.
“Since you admitted to the crime, you can kill yourself now!”
****
“Excuse me?” Long Di saw it coming, but he couldn’t say it was any less annoying.
“You offended our prime disciple’s concubine. Of course, you need to die as compensation!” Huise Chongtu stated matter-of-factly.
“So to you,” Long Di pointed at the elder demon. “The reciprocal consequence of an offence is death?”
Huise Chongtu looked at Long Di as if he was looking at an idiot, “Your life is worth even less than a mongrel, so this is to be expected. Add on all this your declaration of raining down unholy devastation upon us, you should have seen this coming.”
“Interesting, so then that means I just need to-” Long Di paused as if he was looking off into space.
When he came to, his body language changed.
“What do you think you’re doing?” This question was directed to the same elder demon.
“Interesting, so you’ve been keeping tabs on them,” Huise Chongtu was surprised that Long Di was reacting so swiftly to some unseen occurrence.
“Unfortunately, you won’t have any chance to do much of anything, I’m afraid!” As he said this, he lunged after Long Di with his arms extended towards the latter’s neck!
The somatic essence that rumbled in his body was like a roaring river and the pressure it wrought could clearly be felt!
‘Six Star Cores,’ Long Di was learning to differentiate the differences in the pressures he felt.
D-Dum!
Krrssh!
Long Di’s own cauldrons exploded into existence as well as they spun furiously, with two of them crackling with lightning!
He quickly summoned the bronze saber in a hasty counter.
‘Earth Severance!’
Bam!
Bang!
“Elder Huise Chongtu!I
The two disciples cried out when they saw that Long Di, a mere two star core martial master, was able to knock down their elder who had six star cores!
As of now, he was plastered on the ground like a fly that met the purpose of a fly swatter.
However, Long Diu didn’t waste time. Seeing the demon before him on the ground, he stabbed the saber towards his head to finish him quickly!
Shu!
Huise Chongtu’s instincts screamed mortal danger and he reacted accordingly. He punched the ground, causing the now flying rocks and debris to interfere with Long Di’s stab!
He used the slight moment of reprieve to back off in a bid to create a safe distance between himself and this boy.
Yet, Long Di was not willing to grant him this breather! He flew through the dust at a shocking speed towards the elder!

“Crap!” the latter was flustered since he had yet to properly regain his footing.
Long Di’s saber was crackling with lightning and saber intent.
It was not Long Di’s direct strength that kept him unbalanced, it was the lightning AND saber intent, especially the latter!
Right now there was a huge gash on Huise Chongtu’s arms where he blocked Long Di’s saber before and now he was coming to cause another!
Bam!
Long Di was relentless in assault as he peppered the elder demon’s body with numerous slashes.
He was desperately trying to keep Long Di off of him, but the latter was like maggots in bones, impossible to rid!
The fight went on for a while and by now, blood soaked the area their fight was confined to, and it was now that Long DI found something wrong.
‘What are those?’ Long Di saw that the runes on the demon’s body were beginning to glow red, and as their glow increased, so did the demon’s strength!
“You’re too late!” Huise Chongtu realised that Long Di saw through his ability somewhat but it was enough for the former to act!
Bam!
He fired a punch in Long Di’s direction that was leagues stronger than before! The air exploded as his movements as the blow closed in on Long Di.
He quickly angled his saber for the broadside to take the blow!
Bang!
“Take her and go now!” Huise Chongtu ordered his disciple to take Feng Yu away!
However, he was shocked by what he saw. One of his disciples was thrashing about in every direction without reason, and before him was… a girl?
Out of nowhere, there was a young female… person with a visage that was obscured by some sort of watery mist attacking his disciple!
It was like he couldn’t see her, so he was attacking in every direction!
It was Shen Ling! Apparently; she appeared to save her senior apprentice sister and took on one of the disciples here to achieve that.
Shock and alarm were evident on the disciple’s face and it fueled his rampant actions even more! Unfortunately, she couldn’t get close enough to wound him and it placed each of them at a standstill of sorts.
It was then that Huise Chongtu realised that his disciple’s eyes were covered by some sort of black film and it obscured his vision.
Shen Ling figured that the reason why her abilities were less effective on the disciple was that, for one, his cultivation was much higher than hers, and two, unlike Diqiu Jian, who was weakened both physically and mentally, this demon was still strong.
As a result, though he couldn’t see, she couldn’t really drag his mind that far into the abyss. With this, he only suffered from, for lack of a better word, ‘blindness.’

His other disciple was still reeling back from the sudden appearance of this girl but he managed to recompose himself and took off with Shen Ling!
Shu!
Huise Chongtu’s senses went off and his gaze turned upwards to see Long Di coming down on him with the bronze saber overhead.
The somatic essence rushed through his body and the veins on his muscles swam all like flood dragons beneath the sea.
He fired off a punch towards Long Di’s blow as a form of defence!
Boom!
A mini shock-wave shook the surroundings and Long Di was forced several steps backwards.
Huise Chongtu looked at the second deep gash covering his arms and grimaced. The runes glowed ever brighter with this and the pressure he gave off increased, but he wasn’t happy in the slightest.
Long Di stared him down before commenting, “So you get stronger with each injury you suffer. I call hacks.”
Huise Chongtu was angry because the blows that Long Di levied were accompanied by saber intent, and it interfered with his otherwise notable self-healing, something that body cultivators excelled at.
Barring the first saber strike that landed on him, he purposefully allowed the other blows to land on him, albeit not too deeply, so his strength could increase. He had to make sure not to suffer a too grievous injury since saber intent’s destructive capabilities were too dangerous.
And yet, even with that in mind, he suffered another blow from Long Di which landed him in an even more precarious situation even with the increase in strength.
He appeared to be going through some internal struggles before he made up his mind. He then looked at Long Di with extreme annoyance and a hint of despondence. “How about we end this here?”
“What?” Long Di couldn’t believe what he was hearing. This demon was going to give up?
“I already told my disciple to escape with your friend. In addition, even though I should kill you, I can consider letting you off if you tell your other friend to undo what she did to my disciple,” stated Huise Chongtu.
Long Di was near speechless. This Huise Chongtu was asking him to stop the fight and yet he somehow made it sound like he was doing Long Di a favour.
“Okay, fine, let’s stop here then,” Long Di lowered the bronze saber.
Huise Chongtu smirked, as this was the outcome he foresaw. He would wait until the female demon dispelled whatever she did to his disciple, then he would work with him to take her out in an instant before double teaming Long Di.
“Hm?” he realised that the girl had no intention of lifting her spell or whatever.
“Hey!” He turned to Long Di, “tell your friend to-”
Vrrrm!
Without warning, a formless pressure spread out that bypassed him and went for his cauldrons!
“No!”
His strength greatly immediately fell as a result and before he could react, Long Di was already upon him!
“Y-You tricked me!” he shouted in realization.
Long Di only responded with, “Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven, first variation, nine tempers.”
Shing!
The saber hummed as it followed an ethereal trajectory, causing it to grow ever larger in Huise Chongtu’s eyes.
Pu Ci!
His eyes were wide open even in the moments of his death, but eventually, darkness overtook him and he was no more.
There it was, Huise Chongtu was bisected and just like that, the elder of Nether Immolation War Temple’s enforcement hall was killed.
Long Di looked to the side and saw that the disciple wasn’t injured due to Shen Ling’s weak cultivation, so he made a move.
Pu Ci!
A head flew through the air, followed by a geyser of blood following his swing.
“Shen Ling, come here,” Long Di rummaged through his storage rings and gave her the casting cauldron pills.
“What are you-”
“Find Jia Yan, Xiannu Liang and along with Feng Yu and start cultivating with these,” he placed the casting cauldrons pills in her hands. “Your levels are still too low for what comes next.”
“W-What about Yaomu Shou? A-And I don’t even know where they are!” all this was happening too fast and Long Di wasn’t explaining much.
“Oh yeah,” remembering that she didn’t have her own mark on them, he came back and placed his face incredibly close to hers, eliciting a blush in response.
“Focus,” his voice woke her up from whatever delusion she was under.
“S-Sorry!”
“It’s fine, I don’t have any techniques on me that I can use to do this, so touch my foreheads with yours.”
Following his direction, her forehead touched his and a blurry vision of where Jia Yan, Xiannu Liang and Yaomu Shou appeared.
Now she had a point of reference she could use to find them.
“Yaomu Shou is the safest of everyone here, so you don’t have to place too much concern there, but you can get her if you wish. Take the storage rings and the masks off the corpses before you go look for them. I’m off,” Saying nothing more, Long Di started to leave.
Shen Ling made a mental checklist in her head before a certain thought occurred to her, “W-Wait, you didn’t show me where Zi Yu is!”
Long Di didn’t turn around, but he still answered, “She’s been taken to the Nether Immolation War Temple to answer for her crimes of mutilating one of their disciples.”

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
