《Feral Shadows》Author's Note
Advertisement
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to drop a quick note regarding the story and talk a bit about my writing habits now that we've officially crossed the double digit chapter mark.
First off, I have up to about half of chapter fourteen written out at the moment. We're still in kind of the 'development/training'... I hate to call it an arc as this isn't following a light novel format like many others on this site, but you understand my meaning when I call it an arc. The next few chapters will be finishing up this developmental section of the story, introducing some key characters and plot lines that will be explored much later before moving into the action/adventure phase of the remainder of this first book. I honestly haven't planned or plotted out any of this story beyond how I intend to end the first book and some minor details of the second, so it'll be something of a surprise as I write it for me as well.
I think that about covers future plans and direction, and could probably be considered the 'good news'.
Now for what most will probably consider the 'bad news'. My writing habits. So far the story has been advancing a chapter a day, and the reason for this is that I've had the vast majority of what's been posted pre-written for months and decided to post it as a motivational/feedback tool for the current story, hoping to push myself to write more. Since posting the first few chapters, I've managed to write an additional two chapters, so it's worked, but naturally if I continue posting what I have at the current rate, I'm going to catch up to my current location in the story.
This ultimately means that postings are going to go down in frequency in a few days. I have a hard time finding the drive to constantly write, re-write and proofread my chapters. It's a lot of work for one person and I have, what I believe to be, rather high standards for my writing and the quality needed as I intend to publish this story at its completion.

I think that about covers current topics for the state of the story for now. I'm trying to stay motivated and continue writing, and hopefully once I finish this section and move into the adventure/exploration portion, my writing will speed up a bit. However, we'll have to wait and see.
As always, thanks for taking the time to read my story. For all those that rate, leave feedback, follow and favorite the story,
Thank you!
It's incredibly motivating to see that people are enjoying what I write, so thank you all for continuing to read along.
More to come soon,
Imbalance

Equality.Prosperity.Choice. These are the words that Agrea defines itself by, but to a brick that has known only ignorance, they are evils that rot a society. [Participant in the Writathon Challenge] Disclaimer: My characters are often wrong. Some characters may consider something to be true which conflicts with what is occuring at the place mentioned. Some characters also may have contradictory views on a thing Example: Meemauy- Transmigrators are bad, Narvin-Transmigrators are just people Meemauy- Launeior is the fault of Faction leaders. Raina- Launeior is the fault of Meemauy.
