Detecting incoming battle...injecting stimpack…
Detecting vanguards... threat level 4...prioritize targeting…
Detecting enemy warp prisms and scouts...missile turret prioritize targeting warp prisms.
The siege tanks opened fire on the vanguards. These alternate versions of immortals no longer had their barriers to keep them alive longer and were especially vulnerable to enemy artillery fire. The plasma shield fell first, and the metal frame was next. Their relative short range made it difficult for them to reach the siege tanks. Marines and marauders fired at the other enemies who were slowed down by the concussive shell. The laser drill continued to break down the gate. It was useless against smaller enemy units because it took time for the drill to change targets. The amount of time needed for the drill to locate and eliminate the several thousands zeolets was unbelieveable.
Warp prisms, under the cover of scouts, tried to avoid the missiles from the missile turrets as they charged into the defenses. The missile turrets, however, prioritized the prisms. Two of them fell immediately as the transports lacked real plasma shield. Scouts turned three missile turrets into burning scraps, but the others kept on ignoring them. That was the good thing about computers. They chose the better decision even if it meant their own death.
Even though the terran did their best, there was just so much protoss. All the vanguards were dead, and the siege tanks were turning to the slayers and havocs. The protoss were dying by the tens every seconds. The shells of the tanks punched hollow openings in the protoss crowd with every landing. The protoss noble warriors were hungry for combat and were crowded together, maximizing the damage done by the tanks.
Still, even slowed, the zeolets managed to get closer to the front. The first zeolet slashed down on a bunker and was blasted to pieces in less than a second, but his strike punched an opening in the metal frame of the terran structure, revealing eight desperate terran Raiders. The following zeolets charged up. The eight units were ripped apart instantly. Blood covered the remain of the destroyed bunker. The zeolets cheered in glory, and were targeted by marines and marauders from other bunkers.

Jean saw the situation from the screen in the command center. The terran units did good damage, already killing hundreds of protoss units, but the best time to do damage had passed. The protoss were able to fire upon the bunker and the tanks. The bunkers that could stand against terran ammos and zerg claws did little against protoss psi blades and particle disruptors. Two tanks were already destroyed and three bunkers were wiped out. All men within perished. Even the AI couldn’t find out a way to save them. The computers did calculate the attack moves of the zeolets, but it was impossible to dodge when you’re surrounded by either comrades or foes. If this continued this position would be wiped out before the laser drills could take down the gate or the Hyperion could evacuate them.
On the other end, Nyon grinned viciously as the first zeolets were slashing down on the bunkers. The tal’darim suffered severe casualties, but those that survived would be stronger. All the vanguards were dead, but they were supposed to die in combat to redeem their glory. He keenly noticed how all the enemy fire were drawn away and the resistance was crumbling, and he knew now was the perfect time to show his bravery. And so commander Nyon drew his blade and charged toward the enemies.
The tal’darim cheered, and Nyon threw a mind blast on one of the siege tanks. The machine exploded from within. The blood and lack of driver showed the fate of the men within...
“Commander, our defenses can not hold against the tal’darim forces. Evacuation is advised.”
Jean knew she couldn’t give up this mission. If she did, the Raiders would have lost hundreds of men with no result. Project Supersoldier would be halted due to financial problems, and her plan would be damaged. “Adjacent, close of all internal surveillence.” She needed to do something she didn’t want others to know.
The adjacent obeyed. After all she was the commander. Jean tapped her watch. The watch was more than a mean the Surpreme One used to inform her of her mission. It also connected to a sub-dimension where, according to the memory she received, could store anything that doesn’t have life. It was a way for people like her to discreetly carry their gear. It could also teleport the contents inside, like clothing and armor, directly onto the owner of the watch.

Jean stripped off her lieutenant uniform, and a special suit appeared directly on top of Jean’s body. It was thicker than the CMC armors, and it was more similar to the hostile suit of female ghosts. A blue color that stood for the Raiders covered the suit. Her braid was left out hanging in the air. Two wires connected to the back of her head. A pair of goggles covered her eyes. A plasma blade appeared in her right arm.
Jean built this suit herself in secret. It took her tons of time and effort. It was her last resort and her saving grace. The suit held an experimental AI that, if functioned correctly, could connect the user’s brain with the computer itself, granting the user access to countless data and the perfect strategies and moves to make. It was similar to the current model, but instead of projecting the directions onto the armor, this model sent them into the mind of the users. It also allowed the user to have access to a computer that could analyze the situation in less than a second. Of course, being able to calculate what to do didn’t mean being able to act quick enough to dodge a strike. That was where the other component came in. A specialized stimpack that granted the user increased reflexes, strength, and speed. It also had a terrible side effect that should leave the user paralyzed for days afterwards. Everything about this suit was experimental, but Jean knew she didn’t have a choice.
Jean took a deep breathe and got used to the strange feeling of having the ability to compute anything she needed to. She looked at the statistics and knew the Raiders would be dead in minutes for a fact if nothing changed. Wasting no time, she walked out of the command center, and she saw that everything was in chaos. Tal’darim scouts were left uncheck in the air as they bombarded the ground defenses. None of the warp prisms survived, but none were needed. Protoss zeolets were pouring in from a hole in the wall. Several bunkers there were ripped open and pieces of armors were laying around. The terran fought bravely, but they were near defeat.
A scout noticed Jean. The pilot smiled wickedly and charged down, anxious for another kill. Jean looked up at the fighter. Instantly she calculated where the scout would be in the next second and overridden a missile turret and fired a pair of missiles at the fighter. At the same time she took out an EMP grenade and tossed it in the air. The grenade exploded, and the EMP wave washed over the scout moments before the missile hit. The scout didn’t realize his shield was gone and ignored the missiles. The scout practically willingly smashed into the two missiles and exploded in a puff of blue smoke.
Two zeolets charged at Jean, but with the full computing speed of the system AI she was able to see where the zeolets would be. She walked up and slashed her blade with the power of the enhanced stimpack. Two zeolets exited charge state with their bodies severed. They collapsed onto the ground, unable to believe how a weak terran just slaughtered them in melee combat.
Despite killing three tal’darim units with ease, Jean knew she wasn’t doing enough. By the time she killed three enemies ten times that number of Raiders were massacred. She needed to do something that could truly change the course of battle. Her mind, with the help of the database and the cpu of her attached computer. She realized the tal’darim were fanatics and warlike. They respected the strong and honored duels. In fact, their leadership was based on winners of the duels.
Jean turned to a protoss in noble armor. The AI established hm as an ascendant and the leader of this protoss army. If she could defeat him in a duel, she might be able to get the tal’darim to back off.
“Protoss executor!” She shouted loudly. Her voice ranged through the battlefield. “I challenge you to a duel to decide the fate of the battle. Do you accept it?”
