The coincidence was outrageous. Apparently, Lili was one of the nurses that was taking care of David for the last couple of days. Not only did this randomly occur.....she had also used his room to hide from whatever trouble she was in at the moment.

How many coincidences could there be?

It was really ridiculous...unless she had actually figured out his real identity. Going over the clues that he had given her about himself, she maybe had a one in a hundred thousand chance of guessing who he was. David didn't hide his appearance in the soul space, but his appearance there reflected the way he looked to himself...which was the David of 6 months ago.....not the one eyed, scarred up corpse-looking man in the hospital. In further consideration, David didn't think there was anyway she had guessed correctly.....

David used his perception to look at the woman and the surroundings of the medical building. He could see several guards moving around the hospital building. It seemed to David that Lili must have violated the curfew and was avoiding arrest.

David decided that his time with playing games was over. If the people behind Lili were going to be allies, it would be getting close to the time to unveil his plans of attack to start the cooperation.....but that communication line was ruined....so now he needed to plan something with only himself before the backup troops arrived from Nazca City.

After a minute of thinking over his next step, David decided to be a little theatrical and put on a display of his powers for the woman....this succubus demon.

The lights in his room slightly dimmed as shadows became darker.

A whisper sounded into Lili's ear from a mouth right next to her head, "I can try to save you. But how do I know you are worth cooperating with Lili?"

Lili's body shivered at the words in her ear and turned around. Nothing was there but darkness.

She hadn't noticed that the patient in the bed had vanished because David had shadowed the bed and most of the room in complete darkness.

While waiting on her response, David was busy watching the other events playing out in the hospital building with his soul sense. The guards had just entered the building. They were talking with staff to see if anyone had entered.

"How do the guards know you are in the building?," David asked Lili in his breathless voice through the darkness before she could respond to his first question.

"I was going out of town to contact my mistress for you and I was caught trying to leave.....I was wearing my nurse outfit....but they were going to detain me anyway....if they brought me to a Demigod for questioning....they would find out who I really am...," she said in a panicked tone.

This woman didn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed. She wore her nurse's outfit on a covert operation and was caught by guards that could recognize her appearance....then she retreated to the hospital...that matched the uniform she was wearing.

However.....David actually felt bad for the whole situation. She seemed to just be a subordinate of the Countess and didn't seem that powerful. She also seemed to be in a situation way over her head already. He had caused a fuss in the town and she tried to get out to send a message because of his request for cooperation.

Within David's soul sense, he saw that the guards had begun going room to room looking for her.

"Yes, they know you are in the building but they do not know exactly where you are. They are going room by room. You should have about 10 minutes before they get here...these guys aren't the fastest," David said after confirming the situation with his soul sense.

"Oh no.....," Lili said in a panic, "they are going to find me."

"How can I trust you? What can you give me to trust you?," David said.

"I don't have anything to give....", Lili said sounding like she was about to start cramping.

David couldn't tell if she was seriously that scared or if she was faking.

"What about your mistress? What can she do for me?," David asked....he didn't want to risk himself for nothing. He was a generally kind person but he was not a pushover.

"...I can.....I can give you this.....," Lili said in a muffled voice as she pulled a little token out of her pocket....and waiving it around to the darkness of the room.

"What does this tiny gold token do?," David asked.

"...uuh...it is a....token for my clan. If you need any assistance, you can bring this to the Dreamwalker Clan of the west desert. Even the Countess Asta would be required to honor a request from you when presented with this token....Just tell her that Lilith Dreamwalker gave it to you.....and everything should be alright," Lili said to give assurance of its value.

Looking at the fingernail sized gold disk, David realized that he might not get too much for the risk he was going to take....but this cute redhead seemed so helpless.

The guards were getting closer. He needed to hurry.

"The guards will be here a bit quicker...maybe 7 minutes," David said, "Do you have anything else? How am I supposed to know exactly where this Dreamwalker clan is when I leave here?"

David was trying to see if he could get a map. A map was something that would help him immensely when he made his escape from this oasis.

"....I can.....I can....I can give you a kiss...," Lili said with a blush to her face.

David was startled. A kiss? What the fuck? He needed a map.

Sensing the guards moving closer, David felt an urgency to act....he would just take the token....maybe it would be helpful...maybe he could sell it....it was better than no benefit at all for taking the risk of exposing himself.

"If I get you out of town, will that be enough to guarantee your safety?," David asked.

David knew that he could cloak his surroundings in darkness....including Lili. The slave collar was no longer attached and was laying on the bed. As long as there were no heavenly stones on the two then David could fully use his skills. After days in the tunnels, David had figured out that the collar was made out of some type of heavenly stone. He also figured out that he could make other things such as his clothes and tools disappear into shadows with him....but not some types of heavenly stones. He hadn't figured out all the intricacies of his powers or the reasons behind their conflicts with heavenly stones...hell, he was still not 100 percent sure of his own skills either....but he thought that he should be able to make Lili and himself disappear into darkness easily.

"Yes....I can escape once outside the town as long as no one is pursuing me....in the desert, I can survive easily," Lili said with certainty.

"Alright....I agree to your conditions then," David said in his shadowy voice.

He walked out from the shadows of the room.

"Hello, Lili," a voice came from behind the woman.

Startled, the woman turned around to see David standing by the bed. Her first thought must have been 'Why was my favorite patient awake and standing up?' because she stood there with her mouth agape.....But then the realization must have hit her...

"You...you....you are Night?," Lili said stuttering by the shock of it.

"Yes...," David said explaining the situation outside, "The guards will be here in 5 minutes.....I need to be back by then....we need to go....now..."

"O...k...ay," the woman said with a slight blush to her face while looking at David.

With urgency, David moved. He appeared next to Lili in an instant. His new Level 2 Demigod speed and strength were incredible.

"Hold on and be quiet," David whispered to her as he grabbed Lili's petite waist. She was startled by David's touch.....but was quickly amazed as he shifted the darkness around them as he picked her up to carry her....David focused as he blended the two of them into the darkness and erased all their life signs.....then he dove with Lili out the open window of his hospital room.

Under the cover of the darkness, David quickly made his way up and over the town walls with Lili in his arms. She had moved her hand up around his neck and buried her face into his shoulder. David could feel her body pressed against his chest. It was a nice moment.

None of the guards noticed the shifting shadows moving out of the town. David had his soul sense of high alert just to be safe.....and he detected no guard movements....no one noticed their presence at all.

After only a minute of intense running, David was now standing with Lili in his arms....in the desert sands outside the lights of the town.

"I need to go back. Good luck with your journey," David said as he sat Lili's feet on the ground.

"S...sure," Lili stuttered as she reached out her hand with the token. The little gold medallion was still in her hand from when she took it out in the room, "...take this as agreed."

As David reached to grab the token, he felt a quick movement in front of him....then a set of lips were planted in his.

He felt a weird sensation run through his body at the touch of the soft lips...then he felt a small probing tongue. He hadn't expected the kiss....he thought she was joking...and regardless....he really hadn't expected this kind of kiss at all. What a rush to be passionately kissed by a sexy woman in a nurse's uniform while alone in the darkness....lust sparked throughout David's mind and his body pressed against hers.

After about twenty seconds of locking lips and wrapping tongues, David pulled away hesitantly. He would have completely lost himself in the moment if his soul wasn't strong....this woman was surely a seductress.

"...nice disguise...and thank you for saving me," Lili said with a shy look in her sexy eyes as she looked down.

"No problem...I might see you at the Dreamwalker clan when all this is over...if I can ever manage to get there," David said while ignoring the disguise comment.

"....just use the token...and don't forget about me....," Lili said with a bit of a blush and a shy smile, "Good luck, Night."

"Alright....bye, Lili.....good luck.....and tell your mistress that I will deal with this oasis town on my own as a sign of trust," David said before turning and disappearing back into the night.

He was puzzled over the whole incident....something seemed off, but he couldn't quite figure it out...

After navigating stealthily back into the town and the hospital room, David realized what was wrong....he was in some sort of hospital gown with his ass hanging out and his manhood flopping around half exposed at the bottom of the very short gown.....he almost died from laughter over the whole situation....good thing he was practically invisible most of the time...no wonder Lili kept looking at him funny when he stood in the desert sand...a little embarrassed, David picked up his slave collar off of his bed and clicked it back around his neck. He got situated in the bed and played unconscious again. After about a minute and a half, the group of guards opened the room door and looked inside.

"That's the right patient." A nurse's voice sounded from behind the guards, "He has been here a while. Nothing is out of the ordinary."

"Okay....to the next one," the guard said before closing the door and moving on.

After the guards cleared out, David laid in bed thinking about the events that just happened.

'That entire fucking incident only took 10 minutes.....what the fuck?,' David thought as he looked at the small gold token in his hand.

He realized that he needed somewhere to hide the token. If a guard saw it, then it would be taken. He wouldn't let someone swipe his reward. Almost immediately after This thought, David flipped up his eye patch and removed the stone eye. Looking at the stone eye, David used his soul sense to make sure no one was near. He stood up and walked to a nearby cabinet and pulled out a metal medical tool. He started carving in the stone. With a little effort, David made a perfect slot in the fake eye that would hide the little gold token.

As David tucked his fake eye back in the empty eye socket with the new token included, he smiled as he repositioned himself back in the bed. Tonight had been kind of fun....he saved a beautiful woman, streaked through a town, made out with a sexy nurse.....and was paid a gold coin for his work.

'Not a bad bargain,' David thought as he reflected on that passionate kiss...then a slight tingling sensation went through his entire body.
