《Nyix》Forest Life 2

It's nice and warm in the forest, the birds above are singing a lovely melody that adds to the comforting environment and soothes my nerves. I too whistle out a friendly tune in response to the birds who think they can sing better than me, they can't. I'm the best.
I'm currently in search of a blanket. Also something to eat and drink, I'm a growing bird after all!!
This task is proving to be a little bit difficult as I can't fly properly and I'm restricted to walking. Not only am I grounded, but the plants around me are at least twice my height! I can't see a thing past a few meters! This all contributes to me having not the best time in my search.
I brush my head through another strange big yellow plant and reminisce back to the sugary purple plant in the tunnel. Oh gosh golly was that plant tasty. A bit of drool dribbles out of my agape beak, which I quickly wipe away with a wing. I've since then found a few more unique flowers in the forest, a red one and three orange ones, none of them tasted very nice, too sour.
"This sucks!!" I cry
"Birdy friends! show me the food!" I shout at the treetops.
A silent second passes and to my surprise a little blue bird flutters down from above and lands right next to me!
A small bird, a head shorter than me, with a jet black beak and a pure white taper to it's light blue feathers. It stares at me with it's beady black eyes and chirps a greeting.
'Hello to you too Mr. Bird" I say with a curtsy bow by lowering my head and raising my wings. How unexpected! I can talk to birds? Well, I am a bird, I guess.

"Please take my to the fluffi-- I mean please take me where I can find some food" I ask politely.
The blue bird chirps in response and scratches the duff at it's feet. It spends a little time poking and prodding with it's feet and I already know what's about to occur. Sure enough, the blue bird pulls up a big juicy worm from the dirt and presents it to me with cheerful gusto.
I recoil from the unappetizing meal. "No thank you... I'm allergic' I plead while shielding the sight with my wings. The blue bird doesn't seem to understand and inches closer, causing the worm to wiggly even harder.
"NOPE" I squeak as I swat the worm back into the dirt, whence it came.
The blue bird seems to depress at my rejection and stares at the cast aside worm in sadness.
There's absolutely no way I'm going to break my vow within minutes of making it. Especially to some icky worm presented by a too cheerful blue bird, I scream to myself! Too soon, way too soon.
"Perhaps you can show me to that huge blue tree with white leaves?" I ask, in hopes of raising my birdy benefactor's spirits.
It meets my eyes and the spark of happiness returns. It flutters up back to the emerald tree tops and disappears for a few seconds before returning to my side with great news. Gosh it must be nice to fly. The blue bird snaps it's head to my right and bobs it's head a couple of times, letting out a series of low-pitched chirps. I understood the message loud and clear.
I hop over to the blue bird and wrap my wings around it. There's no resistance, only the happy song of "chhuu kuu ku gagaga cku" in my warm embrace. I don't understand a word of it, or chirp of it, but I can feel the intent of the sounds, he's happy.

I break off the hug and rush in the direction the blue bird suggested. Where's there's water, there's bound to be blankets! Also, I want to check out this blue tree, from what I saw at the cave entrance, it's the only one of it's kind, it must be special!
Oh, now that I think of it, I should've asked where that village was instead. There's bound to be food, shelter and warmth there. Why didn't I think of that!! urgh. I turn around to ask the question, but the blue bird has already departed too.
I'll go to the village next time.
I meander through the dense foliage of the forest while trying to stay in the same direction, which is getting more difficult as the plant life is becoming thicker and thicker with every minute. It's becoming more jungle-like, which i can only assume is a good thing because more plants require more water and that big blue tree just so happens to be in the middle of a enormous lake!
+ 1 Intelligence
My satisfying deductions yielded another ' intelligence' , so I guess this squiggle means more than just avoiding the Big Fluffer.
I wade through another sticky and slimy big-leafed plant and a frightening flash of grey, bolts across my vision.
"What the chirp!!" I whip my head to the left and right, trying to track the lightning fast grey streak. What ever it was is nowhere to be found, but I don't relent my search for it.
I scramble myself to a clearing of damp dirt, which isn't saying much, as pretty much the entire forest floor is cover in green and clearings are basically non-existent. I spin around on my feet and scan the larger plants, each one of them could easily be hiding what ever ran past me. Every little rustling, every little creak of the trees has been magnified by my sharpen senses and the sounds wrack my nerves.
Another flash of grey zips by, but no longer on the forest floor, it's leaping from branch to branch, tree to tree in a tight circle, that's getting closer and closer. It's moving at unimaginable speed! I can barely make out what it is! The grey thing's approach is closing in on the trees next to me, it's moving so fast my eyes can't keep up!
"I'm not very tasty!" I truthfully yell to whatever it is that plans on making me it's lunch.
A high pitched growl thunders from behind, followed by a searing pain along my left wing, and then finally, a shock of electricity down my spine.
Suffered 7 Slashing Damage Suffered 2 Lightning Damage
Just as quickly as it attacked, did it jump back to the trees and continue to pounce around like a shark circling it's prey.
"Why is everything so unfair!" I cry while nursing my left wing.
"That's it! You asked for it, BUM-HEAD" I threaten in the general direction of the lightning fast grey figure.
"I'm not some flightless chicken! And I WON'T be your lunch!"
